Acquisition (Phae + Junpei)

[Ziare]

It had been near a half an hour since she had arrived at the dorm room of Junpei and Phaedra Taltos. She had knocked on the door and found a very surprised Phaedra alone in her joint room and smiled softly. Being invited in she sat on a small couch next to Phaedra. Now one might expect the blonde would have gotten right down to business but no they decided to catch up for there was so much to catch up for.

"Ooooo look at that one. The deep red with the black waist band. That one is really pretty it woud go with those shoes you know." Ziare said pointing to a picture in a catalog.

Both girls were giddely over the catalog that each held half of. It was something interesting.. so it must have been anyway to get both girls to have that glimmer in her eyes. They had really caught up and in catching up they had begun to look and thus they had a list going in Ziare's fluid script of things from the catalog that were going to be ordered soon.

Phaedra was not only getting married it seems but expecting. It was so amazing that Junpei had found her. She still remembered the time in the garden when they spoke to each other. Speaking of how he knew he would never find love. But she had assured him that day that the perfect girl was out there just waiting for him and sure enough not a few weeks later and he had met the lovely Phaedra. Phaedra had that sparkling personality that seemed to click with everyone. She was friendly to a fault but sweet too. A big heart hidden under the beautiful exterior.

"Oh and look at that! How beautiful!" Ziare exclaimed happily pointing to a picture on the next page. She giggled softly as she was having so much fun. Ziare didn't really have any female friends and getting closer to Phaedra was kind of nice and Phae was so willing to be a friend.

[Phae]

A surprise knock had sounded at her door not too long ago. Phaedra was indeed surprised to find that Ziare stood out there waiting a bit shyly as it looked. But Phae was not the kind of girl that was shy she was the go get em girl the one that was first to say hi and greet you no matter what. Everyone got at least one chance with this german girl and sometimes it might indeed get her into trouble but it was hard to change who she was.

"Come on in." she had said happily.

She led Ziare to the couch where they were soon talking and laughing like they were old friends instead of new ones. Phae found that Ziare was really easy to get along with. They giggled and soon it was told that Ziare was now single but getting close to a new healer kid at school. And that Phae was indeed getting married and having a baby. Soon the catalogs came out and they began shopping together as they giggled and had fun writing things down and pointing things out to each other. It was almost like she and Phoebe used to do when they lived together.

A picture of Junpei flashed in her mind and she gasped.

"Ziare, Jun is on his way." she said as she thrust their papers in the middle of the thick catalog and quickly shoved it under the cushion she was sitting on. She giggled and so did Ziare as they had a secret now. Girlfriends. How fun. They waited for Jun's arrival and in the mean time broke out into silly giggles often.

[Junpei]

Junpei opened the door to his room and was surprised to see two women instead of one. They were giggling. Their was only one reason Phaedra giggled, when she was hiding something... oh great. Tossing his keys not the desk Junpei pulled off his coat and set it on the back of the chair, his eyes never leaving the two girls. He sat down in a seat across from both of them and looked from one, to the other.

Ziare, a girl whom he'd met his first days into the academy. Phaedra, his lover, his wife to be, the mother of his child, and his infinitely endearing love. Both girls were easy to get along with, made fast friends, and were both on emotional roller coasters. Phaedra with Junpei and his random disappearances, and Ziare with Jyo and then... that night. OK so what, it was emotional trauma convention at Arcane Academy? No that wouldn't be it, the entire school would be here.

"OK first-"

He pointed to Phaedra.

"- why in the world are you two giggling so much. Second-"

He pointed to Ziare.

"- why the hell don't you visit more often. Third-"

He sat back in the chair and looked at both of them.

"- can someone please explain why I got this weird image from Loish about catalogs?"

[Ziare]

When Phae told her that Junpei was coming they quickly hid any evidence of what they were doing. Amid a lot of giggles that only kept coming more and more now it was getting hard not to have her cheeks hurt. She hadn't laughed and giggled so much in so very long. Phae was going to be good for her indeed. They sat on the catalogs and the door opened. A older and more mature Junpei walked in and she smiled.

He stopped and looked at them which made her giggle even more and make eye contact with Phae. She tucked her blonde hair behind her ears as Junpei sat down in the chair across from them. He began pointing and asking questions and she smiled.

"My my you must fear we're talking about you. As for number one, girl talk. Boys just wouldn't understand. Two" she held up two fingers. "I have had things happen and haven't been out much I'm aware that you know about them, and perhaps you could tell your wife here about them later. For I have no want to discuss such things. And three.."

She smiled and held up three fingers.

"Apparently Loish must want some sort of gift for his services to you for I have no idea on earth why he would show you the picture of a catalog. Makes no sense to me. You Phaedra?" she asked turning to the red haead that sat next to her.

[Phae]

Junpei entered the room and froze for a moment as Phae waved. She was dressed in a rather casual yet still cute and sexy manner today. She had on light colored blue jeans and a light sky blue tight fitted tank top. Over the tank she wore a zippy hoody. It was a lavender color and zipped up just til under her bust and it hugged her curves perfectly also accenting he bust. Now some people put on a sweatshirt like this and it hid their figure, not Phae she knew how to dress and dress to where it never hid her figure.

Junpei never once took his eyes off the two girls and as he tossed his keys on the table Phae picked up her thick red hair and pulled it back sloppily into one of those messy half ponytails yet it looked excedingly sexy on Phae. Little tendrils of hair she had missed fell down here and there just small ones that framed her face and gave her that sexy look. No shoes or socks her toenails were painted a soft blue color the bottle sitting close by it had been a recent addition.

He began to point and ask questions and with each question her smile grew larger. He was so cute. Sitting across from him he was just the most adorable man there ever was. Handsome to a fault. Sexy to an even bigger fault. But the best part about it all was that he was hers. She smiled at him as Ziare began answering his questions and she nodded with approval and confirmation with everyone.

"Right, so Ziare came over to talk to us about something but we were waiting til you got here. So that's why we're hanging out though I think we're gonna do it more often because it's fun." she chuckled with a smile. She gave one of those sexy winks to Junpei she knew would get him going and he would probably jump her later for but she loved those times.

"Oh, and how was your day love?" she asked softly.

[Junpei]

Skipping around answers eh Ziare? Oh well he could get the information outa Phaedra later, tie her up and get it out of her the easy way, with a torrent of kisses and nips. She was easy to break when he needed to, secure her, not hard, and get what you needed. However he still wanted to know what was going on, when Loish flashed him another image, under the seat cushions.

Del squeaked but it was to late, his wrist flicked and he muttered seven words under his breath. A pile of catalogs and papers appeared in his hand.

"Now Hun, you know better than to hide things in THIS room with Loish here, oh and my day was fine, I found our house to."

Junpei just grinned and set the catalogs to the side without looking at them, Phaedra could explain things later.

"Now, what is it you wanted to discuss with us Ziare?"

Whatever it was it had to do with both of them so that was good, probably meant Junpei was going to be able to handle it. Phaedra would be there to so he was going to be in extra defensive mode 24/7. Yeah this could turn out to be something VERY bad or VERY good.

[Ziare]

Ziare raised her brow as Junpei summoned the catalogs out from under the cushions. Playing that way are we. She leaned her head to the side letting her elbow rest on the armrest of the couch and smiled at him as he scolded Phae in that cute way. She chuckled softly as she looked at Phae and yawned as she didn't have to say an incantation and the books flew to her hand.

"Don't try me Junpei, I'm much more powerful than you." she said as she placed all the catalogs in Phae's lap.

Now it was time to get down to business. It was a good thing she had come. With the way he was and she was they were both very powerful mages and Phae if she remembered was a Sorceress now. Ziare needed strong people for her cause and these two had popped up into her mind immediatly hence why she was here now. They seemed to be moving he told his wife that he had found their house and she knew that they would be leaving the academy. But hopefully they would be close by.

"So, here's the deal. I'm here to ask for you to join up with me. This school has become like a home to me. I love it here and I feel that maybe if the students banded together into some sort of defense force we would be able to keep Arcane as pure and as stable as she is now. I know you are thinking that's what the teachers and D13 are for but if you think about it. We are constantly getting D13 out of messes they shouldn't be in and aside from that we are here now at the end of the last event and you know that there will be more to come."

She ran her hand over her eyes for a moment she needed to really go spend the night with Alastin more. But planning this group had really taken over the last few weeks of her life.

"Now, here's the deal. The group I'm calling Revolution. I need two Captains. Together the Captains and myself will head a smaller group of Lts. The group is called the Exemplary Council and we decide who gets in Revolution. For our main goal is to preserve this school. Aside from that, we are here to educate each other. I think the more educated the wizards on this campus are the better. Learning to fight against different techniques and magic. How to get healing how to be healed. How to deal with the undead and the strong. These are things I think will not only boost morale here at the school but give comradery and a family to most. I have already recruited quite a few members, a lot of people that I think Phae here knows. You two are very powerful it's why I came to you for these postions and hope you accept them."

And now she fell silent letting them think it over and what not as she looked down at her lap. Her hands picking on the tan sweater she wore today.

[Phae]

Phaedra was surprised when he suddenly summoned the magazines. She sighed softly and shook her head. He must not trust her. Geez. Can't a girl have a few secrets before a wedding and a baby and a honeymoon and a life togeher forever? Apparently not where Jun was concerned. But she smiled brightly with little effort Ziare called them back and sat them in Phae's lap. Phae held them to her chest and smiled.

She was so happy to have them back that she had completely near missed that he had found their house. She nodded softy like an 'okay' type thing but then it hit her. The catalogs were placed in Ziare's lap as Phae ran over to Junpei practically tackeling him in his chair and hugging him tightly. She nuzzled into his neck and kissed it once just under his jaw.

"You really found it? I love you so much." she whispered softly her whole body glowing practically. Why? Because she was pregnate, in love, and now they were finally getting everything together.

She sat in Jun's lap his hands over her stomach because she put them there right over their unborn child. She told Del to tell Ziare to take the catalogs with her when she left and Phae would hang out at her place tomorrow. She smiled at Ziare and listened to what she had to say while she sat in her lover's lap.

It was a good idea. Really was. Though Phae was a pretty easy going girl for the most part. But this really sounded like something she could believe in and take part of something that she wanted to be a part of. Ziare was right they were both powerful and Junpei and Phae working together were near unstopable really. They had something to fight for which only made them more determined than anything.

"I can't speak for Jun, but I accept. This academy has given me everything I could ever want. I found the love of my life here, I'm getting married, having a family, learning my magic. There is so much I am thankful for. Given the opportunity to help out in anyway and you know I"m there. But given the fact that Im pregnate I would like to do as little fighting as possible if I can. Maybe for now be behind the scenes. I don't really mind, but I do want to help." she said softly as she stroked the back of one of Jun's hands on her stomach with her fingertips.

[Junpei]

Damn you Ziare, one day he would catch up to her, although she was the legendary teleporter mage, and his summoner ally. As far as he knew they were the only two 'true' summoners, the kind who called upon other to fight for them, although Junpei had fallen away from that branch of magic, now he was, for all intents and purposes, a true sorcerer, but mage in title. He knew almost every branch of magic, and had studied hard to attain that. He would spend whole days devoted solely to the research of a spell, and then slowly learn it. It was a safe and fast method to learn new spells but slowly. Sure he had had the occasional bump, where he would gain a large does of magic at once, but both times there had been a great price, almost loosing Phaedra.

However, the result had been that know he had untapped power and he could call it forth when need be. He had his initial release, where he became the split winged angel, and his second release form, in which he was able to unleash his strongest attack yet. However, it was saved for special times, he had gone overboard once before. Now he knew to limit himself, and to keep his cool, he was more in control of himself.

When Phaedra jumped him he could only chuckle and nod as she whispered out her love for him and how happy she was. He whispered back an I Love You and then turned to Ziare, who was presently explaining WHY she was developing a little group. Home, that's what the academy was for Junpei. He had come here looking for death, and he had found love. He had come here looking for power, and found the ultimate strength. He had come for himself, he had found Phaedra.

Ziare's explanation of where they would stand in her group and why her group was going to exist was pretty good, very straight forward, and Junpei saw himself being able to help in any way possible, Phaedra first of course. He saw a good future for his family if they stuck with this, with this group that could offer a shield to the future and an example to all. Junpei's hand slowly rubbed over Phaedra's stomach, sending small ripples of mana through her and at the baby. Of course they were repelled, but Junpei was slowly letting the manan that protected the unborn child see that he wasn't a threat, and that he only wanted to help protect his child.

Phaedra answered first, he knew she was a smart girl. His lips touched her neck twice as she explained everything, soft, gentle, reassuring kisses. When she finished and her hand traced over his he smiled a bit, he would join to.

"I'm all for it, although I must insist, as Phaedra said, that she be behind the scenes. She can handle day to day stuff, I can handle the more... militaristic, you might say, wing of the group. Of course we always consent to you, but I'm honored that you think we are the strongest this school has to offer.

[Ziare]

Ziare listened to what they both had to say. It was important that she found the right pillars so to speak for her team to stand upon. For without the right base the team would fall and fail and they couldn't let that happen. Not now. This academy was too important to people and she wanted to see it flourish. So that Jun and Phae's children could attend so that maybe one day her own children could attend the same place their parents did and see what it was like. To grow and to flourish in this environment.

Phae ran over to Jun and Ziare smiled. They were so cute. She wondered if she and Alastin were that cute to other people. But the great thing about Jun and Phae were that they knew right now despite the happy news it wasn't a good time for kissing and getting off subject. They were here to hash this thing out and they would do so.

"I'm glad you are both in. I am giving everyone in this group a special title. Almost like in the military or some such. A code name for troubled times as well as a name to show you belong. Phaedra Weiss you are now, Krigereske. A Danish name meaning Warrioress. And Junpei Taltos you are now, Da-ku Kaen, the Japanese words meaning dark flame." she said with a soft smile.

It was also to bring cohesiveness to the group. All having shared nicknames would help and they all described the ones they represented. And so they could use them in emergencies, time of need, and just playing around.

"Junpei, you are Guardian Commander, you are over the defensive force. Phaedra you are the Director of Information Security, you keep everything secret, filed, and up to date." she said with a nod.

"Questions?" she asked softly as she looked at the both of them.

[Phae]

Phae felt the resonating mana running through her body being sent by Junpei. It had a calming effect on the redhead despite the fact her body wasn't letting anything get through to that child no matter what it was. She began to drift though the relaxing waves of mana moving through her small body and lulling her into a soft relaxed state.

Ziare continued talking calling Jun the Guardian Commander and her the Director of Information Security. What the heck? Snazzy titles but what the hell did they mean. She began explaining it and that was when Phaedra finally slipped to sleep. She hadn't meant to but with Jun's resonating mana waves and the soft heart beat of his she could feel through her back along with his soft voice. And she was out like a light.

It was amazing how now that she was carrying their small child it drained her at times. Stealing her energy. She didn't mind, the baby needed it to grow but it was easy especially with Jun's own lullaby of mana to fall right to sleep. Her head gently leaned against Jun's neck her forehead pressing in just slightly as her breathing was deep and soft. Her hand fell limp, the one that had been stroking the back of his hand gently. He could either wake her up or fill her in later but right now Phaedra Weiss had fallen asleep.

Damn Jun and his mana waves.

[Junpei]

OK so that's how all of this was gonna work. Pillars, basically. Junpei and Phaedra were the base pillars, Ziare was like the bedrock. As you got higher and higher up the chain you got closer and closer to the resoundingly stable thing. Two Pillars, a few Lt's, and finally the general membership. It compressed and strengthened itself, and it was a basic hierarchy society, it had worked in the past, why not now?

"Hmmm so you're saying that basically with me and Phaedra, we run day to day for you, while you can work out the big stuff."

Phaedra zonked out right then and Junpei could only smile. He moved her a bit so he cradled her but kept her face int eh crook of his neck. Her breathing on his neck tickled a bit but he was able to keep a straight face. He wouldn't move her, him and Ziare could talk like this fine.

"Like the new title, seems you put some thought into them to. Forgive Phaedra, the baby drains her mana for a barrier. Amazing how a baby with magical blood develops. The day she told me... there was already a barrier in pace around her womb, won't even let my mana through. Hence the mana massages, they apparently put Phaedra to sleep though."

Junpei laughed a bit at the end and brushed a strand of hair out of Phaedra's face, he only had one question right now, and he would put it right out there.

"How many people have you recruited besides me and my darling wife?"

[Ziare]

Ziare smiled softly as she watched Phae all but pass out in Junpei's arms. She could feel the mana that was going from him to her trying to do whatever it was he was doing she didn't know but she could sense the flow. Yet Phae still was knocked out and it was so cute. The way he repositioned her and then let her lay there sleeping in his arms.

He seemed fine with the idea and the titles. Liking the tiltes themselves and telling her that she had indeed put thought into it. Well yes, yes she had. Junpei asked her how many members she had and she could only smile. She had been working VERY hard had lists upon lists of people she had talked to and the ones that had accepted. She had enough people that the academy would most likely be safer now than it had ever been before.

"Not couting us? We currently have a total of Twenty Seven members. All of which willingly signed up. Men and women alike a vast range of talents and magics. We are a huge base of elements, weapons, melee, ranged, and healers. We have scientists, technology, and even fire healing on our side. We have a lot and now we have the both of you to stand with us. We are thirty strong Junpei we will not fail." she said in a matter of fact tone.

[Junpei]

Thirty members! What a feat for this short of time! What had Ziare done skipped sleep and just gone straight to 'Welcome on board!'? Whatever she had done it had clearly worked as she listed that they had every magic type under the sun an every fighting style under the sun. Holy crap they were gonna be bus the first few days, getting people signed in and ready to go, making sure everything was squared away and roles were assigned. Of course Junpei would want people to take shifts to go on patrol around the academy, in teams no less. His mind was a flurry of activity as he tried to imagine the sheer statistics of it all. Thirty people.. THIRTY!

"Wow... OK so at least we know we got participation. Also, you made small miscalculation, we'll have thirty ONE members come nine months from now. I want my child to be a part of this from day one Ziare, I want them to know their entire lives that magic isn't all about fun an games and getting what you want. I hope to raise my child like my parents raised me before they were taken... I want my child to know that love. So please Ziare, don;t let anything happen to her, or I would never forgive myself."

Junpei looked down at Phaedra, his sleeping bride to be, and with every word he seemed to grow softer and softer. Phaedra was sleeping peacefully, their child was growing in her womb, it was there future, it was HIS future. Junpei was proud as any man could be, he was a Father.

"You know.. it's funny... before Phaedra I thought 'I'll never have a future'. Now... now I have a long life ahead of me, and a child to carry my name and my memories into the future. Ziare... I think Phae would agree with me whole heartedly... if you'd agree to be my first child's godmother..."

[Ziare]

Ziare smiled softly as she looked at the two of them. Junpei seemed to be thinking things over and she didn't mind. She would let him ponder away. Phae had that mothers glow about her if you didn't know she was pregnate some could tell why others would just think she was even more beautiful now than before. Jun finally spoke and she smiled as he exclaimed about the number and then told her that soon there would be thirty one.

She was confused for a moment until he explained. He told her to make sure that nothing happened to Phae and she smiled. The way he looked at that girl. It was amazing. Few people found what they had. She smiled softly and nodded.

"You know I'll do whatever I can. You know I still remember that day in the garden when we first met. You were wishing to find love and knew that your life was too short but that day I gave you hope and you gave me nether fire. That day I think gave you enough hope to let this girl into your heart. You've been torn apart and brought back together so many times but the way you and she look at each other especially when the other isn't paying attention... it's magic. You both found something that is hard to find. True transcendent love. Protect that woman Junpei. She holds so much."

Ziare smiled at them. She thought about Jyo. She thought they had found love like that but it wasn't. After he died and came back as an angel, after her rape, they weren't the same. A wall had built between them and Alastin was one of it's names. But now he had gone without warning and she was left alone. She and Alastin were growing closer and she was happy at that. She sighed softly. Junpei caught her attention again and she listened.

"Oh Junpei.. I would.. be honored. Of course. Definatly I would love that." she said wiping her tears away before they got too far. She stood up taking the catalogs with her as she leaned down and kissed the top of Jun's head.

"I'll leave you to care for your bride. Don't be too hard on her about the catalogs she is trying to make your life perfect. That's all she wants you know.. to see you smile." she whispered as Ziare left the room.
