The day's classes were over, and Xeryth was left with little to do. The concept of 'free time' was something new to the small boy, as back in the department he was run ragged all day, training his mind to it's deepest potential, before whisked away to eat and/or sleep, before he was thrust right back into training. It had been hell on earth, but Xeryth had never known anything else, so, to him, it was normal. Thus, when the classes were over at Arcane Academy, Xeryth, lost and without any idea what to do, began to walk. Wandering randomly through the halls and dormitories of Arcane Academy, Xeryth simply took in all the sights and sounds quietly. The students bustled about him, done with classes but far from being done for the day, each interacting and speaking to each other with smiles and generally bright features. Xeryth smiled a bit to himself as he saw this. Truly, he was in a completely different world than the one he was used to; there were actually people, happy people about, and the fact that most, if not all, of these people had some form of magickal ability made it all the more exciting and impressive.
Lost in his thoughts, the boy continued to wander. However, being lost in his thoughts soon led to being lost in the physical realm as well, as his eyes soon stopped judging where he was going and merely let his feet carry him wherever they wished him to go. The sounds of conversation and general bustle soon dissipated, and gave way to what sounded like spells being cast, and the clang of steel on steel. Snapping back to reality, Xeryth looked about, realizing just where he had found himself. A large sandy arena-type area, where students of all sorts had come to practice their more martial skills. Xeryth could not be farther from his element in this place, as he had never actively trained in his abilities, much less his physical prowess. Standing still, Xeryth looked around, worriedly, wondering if he could make it off without being mistaken for another participant of the Training Grounds.

Onira entered the training grounds, pretty happy actually. He was a little tired from the day's classes, but decided a good stretch of the muscles was what he needed. It had been a while since he had given his legs a workout. However his alchemy had gotten quite the chances to shine, which the blond-haired apprentice liked very much. He had never really used his alchemy in a real-life kind of environment, so battles and such were a good way for him to get used to it.
Onira continued to walk, soon seeing the back of a very familiar head. He immediately recognized it as Xeryth's. The two had gone on quite the adventure together. Fun, but a little tiring. The young man looped his arm around the shoulders of Xeryth.
"Howdy Xeryth!"
Onira then noticed that Xeryth was in the training grounds, and was a little undecided about that.
"Uhh, Xeryth, this place is a little out of your element don't you think? Incase you haven't noticed you're not exactly the most physical of fighters."
Onira then saw, out of the corner of his eye, someone charging at them with what seemed to be a sword. However, it was decided to give the guy to Xeryth. See what he could do against a physical opponent.

Xeryth, though now aware of his surroundings, was still obviously quite jumpy in these particular areas. Thus, when Onira came up and put his arm around Xeryth's shoulders, Xeryth jumped a little instinctively, letting out a little yelp as he did so. It wasn't long at all before he realized who his supposed 'captor' was, as his calling out to him as he came up confirmed it. Smiling a little meekly, ashamed of his fright, Xeryth looked over at the older boy.
"Ah, hello Onira," he said, still fairly quietly, yet quite pleasantly. As Onira asked him, more or less, of his reasons for being here, Xeryth merely shrugged, smiling apologetically. "Yes, these aren't exactly the types of places I usually find myself in. Of course, I haven't found myself in a great variety of places at all, up until recently."
Their conversation was quickly interrupted by a charging student, wielding a sword. Xeryth's eyes went wide for a moment, realizing that Onira was doing nothing to protect himself, or Xeryth. He soon realized he'd have to take matters into his own hands. Focusing on the charging student, Xeryth watched as he ran, waiting to make a move. Upon the height of the swordsman's step, just as he was about to put the foot back down, Xeryth telekinetically held his standing foot in place, causing the student to pitch forward in shock, tossing his sword to the side to avoid stabbing himself. He would hit the ground hard, shocking him, but most likely not injuring him too much.
"You know..." Xeryth began, "I imagine it would be proper decorum to ask someone before deciding to do battle with them..." The words themselves sounded a bit like a taunt, but with Xeryth's usual way of speaking, they sounded exactly like the simple, meek statement of fact that they were intended to be.

Onira watched Xeryth. He was happy he could take care of himself. Atleast from a charging student with a sword. Onira was wondering about the student who had watched his budy go down and was now being stealthy and such, using the backs of the bleachers to get closer to Xeryth and Onira. Onira was going to let Xeryth handle himself, but, when he saw the knife the kid was holding, he decided that it was best to just do it himself.
The stealthy kid continued moving, soon coming about fifteen feet behind Onira and Xeryth. He seemed very confident in his ablities, which although Onira figured was good, he still had do his next attack. As the kid ran forawrd, his footsteps almost making no sound, he was met with a heel to the gut by Onira, and instantly fell down. Onira kicked the knife away, and when he was about to lean down and talk to the kid, he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. People. but not just that. People with eyes. That were staring at Onira and Xeryth. It seemed one of them had decided to issue a challenge. He who gets the team, gets the glory.
So now, Onira and Xeryth were surrounded bya large circle of apprentices, who all wanted a piece of them.
"Aww shit!"

The student went down easily, and said nothing, much to Xeryth's pleasure. He truly did not want to get into a fight here, and upon seeing that it would not happen, the boy was overjoyed. He turned to Onira with a grand smile on his face, and was about to express this happiness in words, but stopped upon seeing the look in Onira's face. Onira knew something was up, something that Xeryth, thus far, had not yet noticed.
Xeryth's eyes quickly turned to face behind the pair as Onira's heel kicked out behind him, dropping the would-be sneak-attacker.
That guy... I didn't see him, or hear him! I barely even sensed him, I was so caught up in myself! I've got to be on guard out here, I suppose, this place is like a giant free-for-all, and it's every man for himself!
By the time the sneak attacker had been felled, a large circle of various apprentices, all out previously honing their skills, suddenly surrounded the unlikely pair of Onira and Xeryth. It seemed that they had suddenly presented themselves as a challenging target, and the nearby students wanted to test their own abilities against them.
"Oh my..." was all Xeryth could stammer at first, as the students slowly begain to close in. Turning to Onira, he grinned slightly, a mischievous look that was rather out-of-character for him. "I suppose there's only one thing we can do about this, isn't there?"
With a sudden twist of his head, Xeryth's eyes locked on a student, wielding a short sword. The student suddenly doubled over, as if hit with a sudden blow to the stomach. In truth, Xeryth had focused one of his Psychic Burst techniques, using telekinetic energy to form a psionic 'punch' and directed it towards his stomach. Quickly switching techniques, Aryck took the student's head with his telekinesis, tossing it up with as much mental force as he could muster. This would not levitate the boy, however, it would throw him back up and over, landing him flat on his back.
And thus, it seemed, the battle would begin.

Onira sighed as Xeryth hit one of the students with a psychic punch. It seemed there was two things going on. Xeryth in long-range and Onira in close. Maybe some fun would be had. Maybe.
"Well, we might as well have some fun."
Onira could already see quite a few focusing energy for nether bolt, nether fire, and a few other spells. Yeah, fun indeed. In about a second, there would be a flurry of purple and black flame and lightning coming for them. So, what was one to do but create a wall?
Onira's tattoo lit up as he placed his palm against the ground. A large wall, about 8 feet high and 2 feet thick would erect itself around Onira and Xeryth.
"Alright Xeryth, make the choice. Do you want to stay here and fight about half the school, or would a hole to your dorm suffice?"
Onira knew he wouldn't be able to create a hole that far way for the two to tunnel to, but he would be able to get a fair distance away from the groubp that was attacking. Hearing many crashes against the rock walls Onira spoke again.
"Take your pick Xeryth."

"Well..."
Xeryth began, regarding the two possible ideas. He was decidedly torn, and expressed this to his 'battle partner' while the attacks raged on all around them, the swords and spells beating into the wall with excessive force.
"On one hand, this is what I was designed to do," he said with a less-than-amused smirk on his face. Indeed, he had been trained since a very young age to become a soldier. "However... that is quite a large amount of people outside those walls, wouldn't you say?"
Xeryth's head turned a full three-sixty, his body following when his head would turn no more, to regard the outside world. Coming to a decision, Xeryth turned back to face Onira and nodded. "Let's get out of here."

Onira gave a toothy grin, his tattoo starting to light up again.
"Sounds good!"
Instantly, the ground birthed a light similar to that of Onira's tattoo. This light dissapeared to reveal, well, a hole. The look on Onira's face instantly changed. Originally a childish grin, it was now a look of stupidity.
"Son of a-"
Onira fell flat on his face into the hole, right into the dirt. His legs were now dangling infront of his face, his chin in the ground, creating a sort of circle in the space between them. However, the young man soon regained himself, jumping up and dusting himself off.
"You okay Xeryth?"
Onira didn't even let him reply, for he placed his palm against the side of one wall of the hole, and transmuted a long corridor.
"C'mon!"
Onira stepped in.
OOC: Lacking detail I know.
