Putting it to the test (Open)

Erik gazed for the first time at the training grounds. It didn't look like much, but it apparently served its purpose well. There were shredded up trees, spikes of stone jutting out of the ground, and a bunch of training dummys most of which were either in shreds or just completely gone.

Erik then tried to find the best spot for what he was about to do. In the end he found a big flat area covered in dirt. He made sure there was no grass nearby before he proceeded. He First placed all but one of the ten candles down in a pile. The other one was placed standing up about 10 yards away from the pile. He then lit the wick of the candle with rise flame.

Well, here goes...

Erik found that it was actually quite easy to lift the flame off the wick.

Now if I can just make it a bit larger... Just a matter of adjusting the air around it and...

The flame exploded.

Erik took off his hat afterward and sat down. He could never get used to the fact that he was almost completely immune to fire while he was wearing the Red outfit. He looked at the ashes that were the remnants of the feather previously on the hat.

"Well, can't sit here all day... I still have 9 more candles..."

Lienn had been watching the boy practice..what exactly was he doing? He seemed to be playing with the candles he'd set out, adn then something exploded. Alright then...Walking up behind him she paused as he sat down and took off his hat. 'Well, can't sit here all day...I still have 9 more candles..' Well if that wasn't a perfect cue...

Just as he finished the statement, the supposed nine candles mysteriously snuffed out, the little smoke tendrils drifting and disappearing into the air. It wasn't that impressive of a trick, she'd simply stopped the flow of air about each wick with her telekinesis, but it should be enough to get his attention. She grinned at this, but kept silent where she stood, seeing how he'd react.

[Mayon]

Mayon walked out into the training ground. He had just arrived at the academy and hadn’t checked it out yet. He really wanted to work on his alchemy. He noticed as he walked onto the grounds that there was a guy there as well. He watched as the man tried to lift the fire but to which the flame exploded. Mayon only smirked as the man sat down after his first attempt. Mayon still had trouble using his fire and water based elemental magic. But Mayon was here to practice his alchemy. As he saw the candles blow out Mayon quickly looked over to see a girl standing watching the man in the hat. Taking out a piece of paper on it, Mayon quickly lit the flames back just to see the look on the girls face. Mayon had simply conjured a spark over at the candles in which lit the wicks and with oxygen all around the fire stayed.

That already had been some good practice but not nearly enough. Mayon still needed to practice. But that could wait for a few minuets, as Mayon thought of it rude not to introduce himself. So Mayon walked over to the man who was sitting down and leaned over to offer his hand. It wasn’t to help the man up. It was to shake. Mayon then looked over to still see the girl. He wondered why she was just standing there. It didn’t bother him although he was curious. Yet it also wasn’t any of his business so he didn’t mind still.


“Names Mayon Shimauri. Nice to meet you.” He said in a calm voice.

Lienn frowned when the flames erupted again. The boy hadn't moved, so what had happened? As if to answer her unspoken question, another boy enters the line of her sight, and seemed to be approaching the first in a form of greeting. Did he think he was doing him a favor? Pale eyes remained motionless as the newcomer looked over at her...so he had known she did it.

Heaving a sigh, the girl stepped forward, joining what was not becoming a group around the candles. She was still frowning, eyes narrowed the slighetest fraction in discontent, like child who's fun was ruined.

"What did you do that for? Now you ruined the whole 'where'd the fire go?' trick.. Ruined it..."

She crossed her arms over her chest nonchalantly, leaning on one of her hips where she stool in a casual enough stance. She glanced down at the boy still sitting on the ground, then back up at the new boy, only pouting a little bit.

[Mayon]

Mayon withdrew his hand and stood up straight to face the girl who had approached. So she was the one of put out the candles. A prank. Mayon smirked. She was pretty mad though. He turned around and walked over a bit. He did have to practice his fire skill as well so he quickly ran around in a circle with fire spewing out of his hand to make a scorched circle into the grass. It surrounded her. He then started spewing more fire to make markings inside the circle. He now had a large transmutation circle. There was a tree inside the circle as well.

Mayon planned on activated the circle and having the tree bend over into a luminous stance over this girl he would also have the tree form up to have a very deformed face. This would hopefully make this girl completely freak out. That would be the true prank. Mayon was usually humble but this could be pretty funny. Even if this didn’t scare her Mayon would be pleased with his creation.

“Heh.”

Whoa... what just happened there?

The turn of events were definately weird... Erik was definately surprised when the flames suddenly dissappeared and reappeared.

"Harken what the hell just happened?"

Just as the little ball was about to respond a man walked up to him.
“Names Mayon Shimauri. Nice to meet you.”
Erik looked up and noticed that he had red eyes. Then he noticed that he had his hand held out. He shook and then watched as the man made a transmutation circle surrounding a girl and used his alchemy to tamper with the tree as well.

Erik was quite confused and didnt know what was going on. He stood up but didnt interfere. He knew that the newcomer wouldnt go terrorizing random people for no reason. He had to admit though, what Mayon just did was pretty creative.

It would be interesting to see how the girl reacted.

Lienn's frown turned into a shocked, curious one as te boy drew a circle around her. Whoa, what's this?! She looked down at the circle, it was something she couldn't recognize (not being much of an alchemist, or spellcaster at all really), and then back up at Mayon.

"W-What are you doing?!"

She asked, a hint of panic in her voice. She hadn't meant to insult him of anything, but was he really going to cast a spell on her? What was this circle anyway? She stood frozen in the middle of the circle, her gaze varying from the drawing on the ground to the boy and back again.
