A strange new figure stood silent in the middle of the training grounds. Before him were three wooden men, made for general sword practice. They showed the dents and cracks from where the students had been striking them with wooden weapons, trying to become more skilled. The figure stood silent, a sword in his hand. But strangely, though he held it by the hilt, the scabbard remained locked in place upon the weapon. The man’s head hung low, his face staring intently at the ground beneath his feet. And suddenly, in a flash, it was over. The three wooden men snapped harshly at the center of their body’s, splinters of wood flying through the air, extending away from the loud crack that had emanated from the strike.
“Pathetic…” The figure said quietly. His head finally rose to look about the arena at the others who had come to train. Many had stopped to see what the noise was, and those who had noticed he had not unsheathed his blade looked on with shocked expressions. Many students struck these targets as hard as they could for many days, and yet this was the first time they had broken… The man’s eyes, black as the night sky glared at all around him. “Hehehe… Truly pathetic…” His left hand ran through his hair, smoothing out any imperfections and loose strands. With his right hand, he rest the tip of his scabbard on the dirt, and leaned on it somewhat as though it were a cane. His idea of training had always been to rid the world of it’s undesirable elements… But a teacher of the academy had suggested that he try training against the targets out in their training grounds. And suffice it to say, he was… Displeased with the results…

((Why the hell not I'll bite. ^_^))
The sound of repeated and rapid semi-automatic gunfire was heard as Darian stood at a range his concentration focused as he fired at an incredible speed. The target in front of him stood in ruin from the twenty-eight nine millimeter rounds that had torn through. Slowly it fell apart as Darian looked at it for a moment and pressed a trigger on his Brownings. Empty clips fill to join the pile of shells near his feet and he paused to reload each gun with fresh clips. The audible snap as the clips slid in and stayed in was a nice sound to Darian's ears. In a graceful fashion pulling back each gun to eject a fresh round into the chamber from the clip.
Was that really necessary?
The best way to improve one's skills is to practice Orchid.
We both know that practice is not what you need.
Perhaps but, call it a habit.
The cat laying nearby simply nodded and layed it's head nearby as Darian was wearing simple black slacks, black long-sleeve shirt, black boots, and a vest today. A black bag was near his feat and unzipped as he looked at his Brownings for a moment. Satisfied he flicked the safeties back on and stared at the target again. Twenty-eight shots. Fourteen from each Browning. He was getting better he could feel it.

As most of the others had stopped, the gunshots rang out loud and clear. Attracting the attention of the man with crazed eyes. Slowly, almost frighteningly, his head turned around as his body leant back on an angel, giving him a very bizarre posture. The leopard caught the mans eye, as he scanned across the young boy. Silently, he brought his right leg around until he stood square with the kid’s back, and slowly, he approached… He was very methodical with his footsteps, walking in a slow fashion that allowed him to move silently. As he came close to the boy, he suddenly drove his still sheathed sword over his shoulder, so that the tip of it would just come into his peripheral vision. “Tut tut little boy… Didn’t anybody ever tell you guns aren’t for playing with?” His grin was dangerous, and his eyes burned with a glare like none other. If the gun-totting student wished to avoid a fight, he would have to choose his words carefully… Because who knows what someone with such a gaze is capable of… “What’s your name?” This time his tone seemed less playful… More like that of a sinister man contemplating what he would do with the victim who stood before him.

He's dangerous. Choose your words wisely.
I can sense that myself.
You're also stubborn to a point.
Very true.
"Had I wished to play with guns I would have just stayed home and lived my spoiled life at my family's mansion."
When he turned to face the man he looked at him with narrowed red eyes asa he looked directly into the man's gaze. He didn't look away he instead looked into the man's eyes with a calm and collected expression. He wasn't worried it seemed and Orchid shifted himself onto his side like he wasn't interested at the moment. Sure the guy had a look that would scare the crap out of most people and it intimidated Darian some. But, after dealing with The Butcher and his psychotic class he became just a tad jaded.
"As for my name I'd like to know your's first before I give such a thing out."
Wonder what his issue is?
No clue.

“The boy has a voice, though I wonder just how shallow his bravery really is…” The man said aloud, as though narrating to some unseen audience. Slowly he drew his weapon back, still holding it by the hilt, as though keeping it ready for combat. “My name… Little boy… Is Setsuna…” His grin became frightful as he bore his teeth. “But my name means nothing… A simple title I chose at the moment of my entrance to this world… Your name however… Is a far more interesting topic…” His eyes stayed locked, unblinking on the younger boy’s own.
This strange twisted face seemed to belong to a being of lost sanity. Yet at the same time, he seemed to be perfectly aware of the world around him, and did not make any move to break the 4 dimensions as many insane people do. And so, his state was hard to determine… But one thing was for sure… He was dangerous… Very dangerous…

"Darian."
A single-worded response as Darian shifted himself ever so slightly mentally calculating the sword's reach for a moment. He still had enough distance between them since it was obvious the man before him was slightly insane. Even if he had a grip on reality it was clear that insanity had at least slipped itself into Setsuna's mind. Or at least that's what it was starting to look like to Darian as Orchid shifted and got up. Darian carefully shifted his grips unnoticably on his Forest Raven and his Lemonte. Both of them handy weapons in this kind of situation.
A tad too insane.
Still dangerous he holds that sword well.
True.

“Hmmm… Darian huh…” His face became more serious… Then suddenly, without warning, he lunged forward with extremely high speed, his left hand swiping out at the boy. However, he would feel nothing but the slight sensation of Setsuna’s fingers briefly gliding across his forehead. In that split second, he had managed to make physical contact with his fingertips that were exposed from his gloves, and spin around completely, facing away from the boy.
“Darian Dumonte… Second in line behind your brother… Your family is… Extensive to say the least…” He closed his fingers inwards, balling the raised fist as he held it level to his head, but clearly visible over his shoulder. “You’re in luck Darian… You’re not on my list… Yet…” He said turning his head around, now returning to his seemingly amused, yet twisted face. “But someone who plays with guns is bound to do something wrong sooner or later… And when you do… My blade will devour your soul…” He said with a devious grin.
It may not have been totally clear at the time… But Setsuna had developed an interesting ability in his time as ‘Satan’s Hitman’ as he claimed to be. Once he knew the name of a person, he could, with but a touch, learn a limited amount about their past and, more importantly, see whether or not they had done anything that warranted their death… “Or maybe you would like to attack me while my back is turned… I can use that as a cause to kill you…” His grin became toothy and sadistic as he turned to face the boy fully once more, knowing from his ability that he wouldn’t do it. But oh how he loved to mess with humans.

BAM!
The bullet whistled past Setsuna. Percisely past Setsuna. Barely even a fraction of an centimeter off. Such deadly accuracy was very rare but, Darian's eyes were flared with magic during that show as he calmly opened his gun and loaded the shell he uses. This guy was a nutcase that much was for certain but, that man's comment about him playing with gun's. That was a piss off factor.
Ass.
You're playing a dangerous game.
I'll pay for his damn shrink.
"Actually it's third in line. I have two elder brother's and if I wanted to play with guns Setsuna as I said."
Ka-Click.
"I would have stayed at home."

As soon as the shot was fired, Setsuna’s scabbard shot up into the path of the bullet, causing the projectile to crumple on impact, leaving no mark on the swords shielding. “Uh uh uh…” He said tauntingly. Setsuna didn’t seem phased by the fact that his skill had not read far enough to see that there was a second brother, as he had only had contact for a split second.
“If that’s the case…” He said slowly, referring to Darian’s comment about staying at home. “Someone of your pathetic level should go back to that place…” He turned away from the child and began to walk away. “Because if you can’t cut it… Then you won’t survive your first year…” His grin became very toothy. “I’ll make sure of it…” Pocketing his hands, he slowly left to another section of the arena, looking for someone he deemed to be more of a challenge.
And so would be the first of many encounters Darian would find with Setsuna. Whether he knew it or not. The man had marked him. Marked as an ongoing test of the human capacity. They would not fight on that day. No… Setsuna wanted Darian to be at the top of his game before that were to happen…
