Still More Fighting? (Nanashi)

[Nanashi]

Oh, great. Not ANOTHER Sonates. Maybe Roy was getting smart, and trying to keep Nanashi in here until he had to make a hole for air.

Or maybe something else, seeing as there was a tremendous vibration, sound, and, relative to the fact that it was made with physical force, crack in the cocoon.

What the HELL did Roy DO?!

Too bad that Nanashi wouldn't know until much later, and maybe not even then. But regardless, now was a time for swift action: and an idea popped into Nanashi's head instantly. The metal around where Roy had struck rose up around his staff, clutching it. It continued up it's path until it grabbed Roy's wrists, and as soon as Roy's feet hit the metal, which they most likely would, metal would grab them, to. From there, unless Roy could cast magic without being able to move his hands or feet, Roy would be entirely helpless, and probably nearly out of energy, too. That would be the end... If it worked.

Ok, and I'm done. I'm stuck, and I can't freaking move.

The fight was over. Roy couldn't move his hands, or his feet. He started to laugh, blood still dripping from his side, and his palms still smoking.

"Dude.....that was great.......I'm spent......you mind letting me go?"

Roy continued to laugh, happy as he'd been in a while.

"Goddamn.........that was great."

[Nanashi]

It worked. The metal closest to the cocoon that had come up could no longer compress, at least without resistance. This meant that Roy no longer had his staff, at the very least. And, it had his hands. And his feet. That meant it was safe to get out: Very lucky, because Nanashi was running out of air. So, now to make a man-sized hole in the wall and exit. And that's just what Nanashi did.

As soon as he was outside, he collapsed again. Getting stunned three times will do that. Then Roy surrendered and asked to be released.

"Yeah, I'm mostly spent, too... Here..."

The metal retracted. Roy's hands and feet were now free, as well as his staff.

"That was the best fight I've had in ages. Want to do it again some time?"

Nanashi tried to stand up again. Not the best thing anyone's ever done. His right side throbbed, his knees almost buckled, and his head hurt. Nanashi went down on one knee, let some blood get back into his head, and then stood up again. He walked over to where his Scroll of wood and Scroll of earth were, picked them up, rolled them up, and stuck them in his robe. Then he went back to the cocoon, took out his scroll of metal, sucked the cocoon back into it, rolled it up, and put it in his robe. It was probably the most grueling task he had ever done.

"Damn it, did you really have to stun me three times?"

"Yes, yes I did." Roy said, answering Nanashi's question. "It's my only non-lethal offensive spell. I diddn't wanna fry you while you were in that metal thing, it would have killed you." Roy said, and laughed. "We definitely have to do that again some time."

Roy stood up, shaking slightly. "I think all the jumping I did after you cut me widened the gash. I lost some blood. Heh..." He laughed again, and asked" Do you know where the recovery wing is?"

[Nanashi]

"Yeah, I do. I'll lead you there: I should have them look at my side, too. You may have done some damage to my ribs... I also seriously need some rest. Get my mana back and all..."

Nanashi made his way back inside the school, presumably, and then to the recovery wing. Once there, he said goodbye to Roy.

"Until next time, all right?"

Then went to get himself looked at.
