“Ah...O...Oú est moi?” Cloché blinked as she realized her surroundings. She had seen a stray cat wonder off and she was determined to find it. She went around in circles, diagonal, and through a few obscure spots but she seemed to have forgotten it all now.
She seemed to be in a dangerous looking area filled with rocks and obstacles. She had arrived here from the other side, through some bushes that she had thought the cat may have gone to for shade. She carefully slid herself down a large rock so that she was in a valley of some sort, still littered with dangerous strategically placed pointy objects. She whine and pouted, her eyes with some fear but mostly at the frustration of being lost.
She looked longingly at the clear flat plateau out of on the other side of the ragged wasteland, but it seemed so far for the frail, vulnerable, and poor in stamina little girl.

"Oh, hello miss."
Marcus spoke from behind the girl. It was his first day actually AT the academy, and so he had decided to just wander around and see what the place was like. After going to the office, a courtyard or two, as well as spied in on several classes, he had come to one of the training grounds. This one, it seemed, was one of the biggest, or so he hoped. For the last hour he had been looking at the facilities of it, and only recently had he seen that another one was there.
"Sorry for sneaking up on you like that. I was just taking a look around. What about you? Is there a reason you're here?"
The girl was not yet in Marcus' comfort zone, but it was no big deal at the moment. His natural charisma would hopefully be well enough to at least slightly attract the girl to himself. Who knew. Given the lack of public eyes in the area, it really wouldn't be a big deal to control the girl for a little while. Of course, Marcus would keep his mind off of that. He had become already aware of the possibility of psychics in such a place as Arcane Academy, so he made sure not only to seem and act like a kind, charismatic young adult, but also to think like one. A difficult practice, but not overly so.
Marcus gave the girl a smile, his ears well tuned in to listen for her words. After all, he didn't want to come off as insensetive. That would just be downright mean. It seemed it would have to wait a little later.

Cloché turned and blinked at the man her eyes sparked of innocence and helplessness just screaming out, “Help me, I’m lost!” though she said not a word. She mouthed something in French but then abruptly turned around and continued her journey across the jagged ground. The wind was strangely cold and coarse in this stony wasteland. It chilled her skin and she clung to the only point of stabilization in her steps: a rock. Her eyes shut tightly and her legs wobbled at the unstable ground that she stood on. Her wined as she felt a rock roll out from under her, making her change her stance once again.
A strong wind picked up from below now, where is this coming from?! It howled from below and scratched at her dry legs and knees. She covered her eyes with one arm and her dress flew right up revealing white cotton underwear with lace around the edges and blue-cloud printing, as if mocking her attempt to be as graceful and ladylike with her journey across the impossible field.

Marcus smiled at the girl's look, but wore a slightly confused expression as she turned around and walked away. He was not used to such... odd people. Especially ones that didn't seem to speak. It was a strange moment, and only getting stranger, if not pathetic.
He looked onward at the girl's back as her dress blew upwards, revealing the white cotton underwear beneath. It seemed she was trying to play a game of cat and mouse, however, the problem was in the number of variables in the game. The grounds were not particularly on her side, it seemed. Of course, underneath was a side, but not one the girl seemed so joyed in showing off.
Marcus ran foreward to catch up to the girl, a somewhat sympathizing look on his face. He would try to get beside her and walk along with her, his first attempt at conversation not working out so well. Of course, provided he did, the girl would feel a feeling of comfort come over her, but as the basic spell worked, she would not recognize it as a change, simply feel it. Hopefully that would make her if not just a little bit more talkative.
"Umm... may I help you in any way, miss?"

Cloché jumped, loosing her footing she vigorously grabbed on to the rocks. Her chest rose up and down in deep quick breaths against its strong stoic form. Her head cautiously turned around with big, now a darker and more pitiful shade of blue. Her head was lowered, just peeking over her shoulder as she peeped, “I’m....Not supposed to talk to strangers...”
Another strong wind blew at her again and she winced, scrunching herself more against the boulder. She coughed and slid down from the boulder and crouched down, pushing her self up in a mildly comfortable fetus-like position, exhausted.

Marcus gave a kind, amused smile to the girl again. He had decided that trying to approach the girl anymore probably wouldn't help, so he'd jsut have to talk to her. After all, he would only remain a stranger for so long, right?
"Well, My name's Marcus, age 19, and first-year arcane academy student. I've been here for about four hours, and so far I've been enjoying myself."
He sat down on the ground in-front of the boulder, trying to keep himself level with the girl's balled-up height. If he stayed standing up, he might come off as too aggressive, so that was a big no.
"Well, am I stranger now?"
He gave the girl another smile, her still just slightly out of his "comfort zone", but hopefully it wouldn't be needed. He had hoped his words had calmed her if not just a little bit. He wanted to make her get if not just a little more used to his presence.

Cloché perked up her head and smiled, eyes closed for a moment, “My name is Cloché Nue; so I don’t think we’re strangers anymore.” Cloché without any trouble pushed her hips upward so that she could reach into her back pack and pulled out a very large bar of chocolate, the cold didn’t seem to bother her anymore now that she had someone to talk to. She quickly yet meticulously broke off a piece and gave it to Marcus, “Here.” Smiling, she was now in a complete ring on trust with her new acquaintance.
ooc{ Jsut something quick, it will be interesting to see what happens once you try to enter her mind...

Marcus seemed happy to see that the girl had already warmed up to him, as well as entered his comfort zone. She offered him a piece of chocolate, which he took with a gratious nod. He bit into it once, chewed, then swallowed the piece he had eaten.
"Thank you, it's good."
Marcus closed his eyes, himself thinking, among other things, now about what to do with the girl. As he did so, he spoke with that same kind tone.
"Would you like to sit with me? I would much enjoy the company."
He opened his eyes, looking up to see her response, that inviting look still in the green ring of his eyes. He was beginning to enjoy the day much more, now. The one he was talking to now had much potential in her, but that would wait for a small while. For now, he would just get to know her.
"So, may I ask you again? What were you doing out here? Please excuse me if my assumption is incorrect, but you don't seem too big on battle training."

“T-Training grounds?!” Cloché sprung to her feet and looked around frantically, “Good gracious, how did I get here?!” she gasped but she ten slid back down, reigned at her tending to forget in what vicinity she was in, what she was doing, and what time it was. She lightly put her hand on her chest and exhaled deeply before going back to her chocolate bar and blurted,
“Does Chocolate make you grow? ‘Cause my brother said that chocolate had umm...calkium...Or something. Milk has that, too.” She observed the chocolate from one side and the other, completely fixated on this new focus point-question and once again in unawareness on her surroundings, her eyes bemused and a slightly darker, yet more normal hue.

Marcus chuckled lightly at the girl. She seemed to have a somewhat short attention span, but that was fine. She still seemed fairly comfortable aroung him, which one suspected was only leant partly to the zone around. More credit went to the girl's personality itself, or so would be more useable.
Marcus stood up, giving the girl another smile before speaking.
"Calcium. It is true that it makes you grow nice and tall, and it is in chocolate and milk. But, if you sit there and grow, you might be stuck like that. What do you say we begin our walk back. It could be a long while if we don't start soon."
He offered his hand to the girl to help her up, himself, for once, unsure on if she would take it. After all, his comfort zone was not particularly powerful, so the girl would still be quite prone to act as she normally would.
"Of course, if you would prefer, I'm sure we could camp out here. It might be fun, actually. However, it's your choice, in the end."

“Mmm! This place is making me scared.” She cringed again as she noticed ow cold it was getting now that the rock was beginning to take her heat. She graciously took the hand but instead of letting him pull her up, she pushed off hi hand and got up on her own. Either that she didn’t understand the custom, or she was taught to do so. Either is plausible and not really needed to be asked.
“Ah, Alons-y!” she jumped and spun around as she jumped from rock to rock and walked two steps before stumbling back down to sit, once again exhausted.
“Ughhhhh...No we must keep going!” She jumped to her feet once again and proceeded to take 2 purposeful steps before tripping and laying exhaustedly back down onto another boulder. A cold wind chilled her to the bone and she crouched back down again for a minute before continuing for another 2 or 3 steps.
This repeated this strange commodity a couple more times before she beckoned Marcus to hurry up, even though she herself was only about 2 meters away from her last spot, sweating and panting, with still about 3-5 meters to go.

Marcus looked at the girl with a reassuring smile, as he always did. The fact that her attempts were strangely pathetic didn't really matter. He would always seem to be helping her along with or without words of encouragement. His appearance always seemed to possess a look that said "good try, keep going!".
"Well, you certainly seem driven miss Cloche."
Marcus began a steady walk next to her, never passing her, for that could come off as a somewhat annoying picture for Cloche. Seeing a friend walking past with a back turned would be if not just a little spirit breaking. Best to keep away from such depression.
"Would you mind if I asked you miss Cloche where you come from? Curiosity seems to have the best of me this moment.
OOC: Sorry for the late (and lazy) modification. I didn't have muhc posting energy the last couple days.

ooc{ Wait, understand that what I described in very not athletic. The fact that she used all that energy and only moved 2 yards (which is about two long steps) is very very bad...
