Roy was sitting back in a tree, thinking. He had been through a lot in the past few days, and he had literally lost everything.
He diddn't really care that much. He was staying positive. Or not. He was a bit ill-tempered lately, and snapped sometimes, yelling at people when he diddn't mean to.
Yeah...his life sucked, as of late.
He sat in the tree in the training grounds, twirling his heavy spear in one hand. The iron caught the sun, and glared.
He surveyed the training grounds, looking for a perspective match, and smiled broadly when he saw a familliar face. Hopping down from the branch he sat on, he said "Hey! Darah! It's been a while. How about a rematch?"

(ooc: I just remembered that I left AA in such a hurry the last time I forgot to add a stat point. Plus, with this post, I get to add 5 more points! >=P)
Hehe... What do we have here? Darah chuckled silently as she saw that boy she had beat before jump down from a tree. What was his name again? Something very short and simple... Ted? No... Quite a common name among humans... Bill? No... Bah, forget it.
Darah had spotted the guy from some distance away while he was still on the tree. Spoiling for a fight, she had purposely approached in hoping the elder boy would challenge her. As was expected, the boy wanted a rematch. That was totally fine with Darah although she hoped that he had improved since the last time they had fought.
Darah was dressed in her usual cloak but without her hood on. Under her cloak, Darah pulled out a pair of platinum claws from her pockets and carefully put them on. She then lifted Gekko off her shoulder and weaved hex+ on him to change him back to his true form.
Together, mother and child retreated some steps back. "With or without kids?" Darah asked the boy.

Kids? She must consider the Basilisk her child. Understandable......poor Esiuhoieufe and Ayschoine.
"Either way is fine."
He leaned his spear against the tree, and ran thier last encounter through his mind. He had to stick to simple moves, or she would catch him in mid-air. Her claws had left scars that the healers hadn't been able to heal. They were sharp, and cut deep.
He drew his dagger from his boot, and before she decided he would be trying to kill her, said "It has no edge, but don't hold back on my account. I'd like to think I've improved since our last fight."
He took a stance with his feet in a "Foreward" Karate stance, and raised his hands in front of him. He wouldn't attack with the dagger, it was simply a parrying tool, to block things such as her claws.
He had taken her advice, and gotten himself a backbone. This would be an interesting fight.

If there was any improvement in the boy, it was his attitude. It seems he has finally stopped that weak-assed stammering and whining. Good, he finally hit puberty. Darah laughed inwardly.
Since the boy said that it was fine with or without kids in the fight, Darah chose not to get Gekko involved. She didn't want her kid hurt because of her battlehunger. So, the rules would be no kids. Darah would hold on to that rule unless the boy decided to break it first.
"No kids in the fight then." Darah said to the boy before kissing Gekko on his cheek, gently asking him to move away from the fight. The basilisk whined but obeyed his mother and retreated a few steps further.
Darah gave her opponent some time to get himself ready into whatever funny stance he needed to be in. It looked like martial arts. Sadly, martial arts don't work against magicks.
"Prolifidous." Darah muttered a word under her breath while the index finger and little finger on her right hand folded. Wordology magic. Using chants and rituals to summon force not belonging to one. After reading up some wordology in the library, Darah had modified the spell she had learned from the Historian's "Propellos, Magnificous, Stripandous". Shortening the incantation, she could call forth the power faster.
Three balls of fire appeared in the palm of Darah's hand and she sent one of them flying straight for Jim or Tim or Rob, whatever his name was.

"Here we go."
As soon as the fireballs headed toward him, he broke his fake stance, and bolted to the left, running close to the ground.
"Ignus."
Both his arms erupted in flame, as he changed directions, and began to move toward her at around twice the speed a normal human could move.
I won't fall so easily this time, Darah.
Side stepping to the right, he quickly threw four of his own fireballs, along with a wave of fire that moved one-hundred and eighty degreees in front of him, toward the lizard-girl.

Question: With not much reaction time, what would you do if you see something like say a cannon ball was flying towards you? Lemme tell you what you'll do. You'll either: A) Shut your eyes and try protect yourself with your arms, but that would be totally useless since the cannonball would still blast a hole in you. OR B) Dodge the cannonball, the more reasonable move.
Darah's guess was that Bob would dodge it, and that was why she held back the 2 other balls of fire. The moment she saw that Bob was moving towards his left, she threw a second ball of fire not at him, but at the point where he and the fire ball would collide.

(Fireballs cancelled due to circumstance. Hands still on fire..)
Well ,that was unexpected. The only way to dodge this would be to take to the air, which was NOT a good idea when fighting Darah, or to block. Dodgeing might work, but he was already moving very quickly toward her, and the point the fireball would impact.
Smart.....very smart. Diddn't want to take to the air, but I have to, unless I want to trip myself up going to the side.
So, before he took to the air, he made an attempt to stop her from pre-empively attacking him. He pointed his left hand at her, moving in a blur, and said a small incantation. Quietly, as not to be easily predicted.
"Soanates."
The ten-foot by ten-foot wall of phsycic force heraded toward her, as Roy jumped into the air, about seven feet up without magical assistance, clearing the spot the fireball would impact.
If all went well, and his spell stunned her for a moment, he would land without worry of her claws, and continue his charge.

"Soanates." Darah's increased hearing picked up half of the words. The other half, Darah's increased eyesight picked up by reading Jack's lips. Darah was pretty sure she had heard that one before. It was a spell much like an invisible wave if she remembered properly. What could she do? Get away.
By now, hex+ had already taken place and Darah was by all means a demon. She couldn't see the psychic wall coming at her, but she could somewhat sense it and she could tell its width was roughly the length of a car. Coiling the muscles in her legs, Darah quickly released them and pushed her body out of the way, jumping right as the wall blew past her.
She landed on all fours and remained crouched as Jack approached. She had a counter in mind, but he had to make the first move.
(ooc: Could I be playing with your psychology with that last line? Reverse psychology? Reverse reverse psychology? XD)

Roy's hands were still on fire, and it was starting to hurt. Instead of continuing his charge, he stopped, and launched three fireballs at her, ending the small combo with a wedge of flame that stretched out one-hundred and eighty degrees in front of him.
As he threw the fireballs and wedge, he went into a backflip, but diddn't land. A strong wind buffeted around him, lifting him up, and holding him aloft.
He waited for Darah to make her move, as the wind held him aloft. His spell of flight was cast, and he was going to use it to its fullest.
