A staff with beam energy coming out of it was definitely a problem, but not something that couldn't be dealt with. Seeing as the spike thing didn't happen(thus negating both stat negatives), Chephros simply ducked under the staff. Considering it was flying sideways at him, and that Jason was also boosting forward, tilting it up or down would be very hard. Especially when it happened only quickly enough, as the staff was already close, that it barely dodged and grazed his hair. The blade was sharp, but it was also made of energy which meant that it had to be created. Thus something was giving it power.
However right now there was no real time to worry about such a thing. Because the swipe would most likely put him a bit off balance, and the fact that he was still moving forward because he didn't have wings to stop himself with, Chephros would lunge forward now and use a tackle grab. This would basically mean he would jump forward, while crouching to start as he already was, and then reach out to grab Jason's middle, then tackle him to the ground. At that point he would slam elbows into the boy's face.

Damn missed. Jason thought as Chephros ducked. he knew better than to keep going so he used another burst of energy to go strait up but was thrown off course as Chephros lunged at him. Jason was glad he decided to go up as if fully caught he could have been in trouble.
But as his course was intteruppted he wne up and into an uncontrolled flip. he landed on his right side rolling to his feet about twenty feet away from Chephros giving a slight cough as he almost had the wind knocked out of him. But he was smiling all the same. "I like you. your a hell of a good fight." he said letting the enrgy blade dissipate. and held his staff back in it's starting position.
Energy down to 9

"Yeah, your a decent fighter yourself." Bending his knees he was in an animistic fighters stance. His left leg was in front of his right by a good bit and his arms were out to their sides. Almost how the feral werewolves, those without minds, stood before charging at someone. His hands were calm, seeing as he couldn't really punch someone without impaling them and thus he didn't want to waste that energy, and he looked at Jason again. This was a very good fight, and excellent practice.
His left arm, which was actually farther away from the target, shot forward then and loosed another shock-wave, this one a bit stronger. The thrusting motion of his hand directed it, as did the shuffle of his foot before. Pushing off with his back leg now, Chephros ran forward. Behind the wave was him and he raised his arm for a side strike. He wasn't going to kill, simply graze and possibly inflict a slight bleeding wound. The attack was aimed to clip Jason's left shoulder, and it would be an attack from Cheph's right arm thus it wouldn't be a cross jab.

Once more Jason activated his shield for the shockwave useing his right hand. he swung his staff upwards but stopped as it pointed tp Chephros and he activated his energy blade agian amied for the outer edge of Chphros' right ribs. But unlike the last time he did this he had his grip on the center of his staff not the middle. Making it so even if he hit that blow aimed for his shoulder hit.
Jason was forced to leapt to his right and was also going back a bit from the blow but besides the light cut on his shoulder he wasn't too badly injured. He was having the time of his life. It was clear while not aiming to kill each other they were both taking this seriously. Jason was enthralled by the challenge before him and knew he wanted to fight this person again no matter what the outcome was.
When he landed he had shifted his grip so he had about five inches of staff between his hands with the weapon held in front of him tiledso the right was up and slightl inclined to his foe and the left side was down and tilted back a bit.

Ignoring the small pain of the energy blade that had given him a small cut, he smirked that he had still managed to hit his opponent. Chephros' cut was much smaller than it should have been, as his armored clothes took most of the damage for him. Still, he had taken a cut and it bled just a little. Refusing the sensation of blood-lust he simply looked at Jason in his 'ready stance'. Both of them were constantly changing their game and so Chephros figured he might as well do it just the same. Gripping the base of the katars, he pulled them off, strain visible on his arms and face. They slipped slowly, faster near the end, and eventually came off. The spiraling pattern of the burns that matched the four spiral rods of unbreakable steel were forever visible. It was an odd way to how they had been created as wrist blades instead of katars.
Shoving them into the ground hard, the three claws bit readily into it, piercing through easily. They sunk to the base of the blades and the ground seemingly closed over them making them incredibly hard to pull out. It was an odd effect really. Stab cleanly in, pull hard out. Looking at Jason then, Chephros grinned. His claws would indeed had their uses now. Snapping the cartilage in each one by making a rapid claw movement then letting them relax he shifted to a sprinters stance quickly and shot off forward. Weaving from side to side by pushing off with each first respectively as he moved forward he was effectively moving diagonally. When he got within seven feet he acted like he was going to continue, but instead shot forward and lunged downward. He was angled a bit, making him move closer.
The lunge put his arms in line with the ground and he let his arms arc him around as his legs remained tucked in. Springing out, pushing off with his arms and pushing out with his legs, he basically just flanked Jason and kicked out hard. His clawed feet were together and would connect hard at the same time with the side of his rib cage.

Cute move. Effective as well. Though Jason as he once more blasted off the ground. this time strait into the air sailing over the attack. he let go of his staff with his right hand once more as he used his energy blast once more aiming to have Chephros be slammed into the ground.
As he did this he let the staff slide down in his left hand to give him reach over his foe for he knew that Chephros could fly and needed to be able to keep him at bay if he missed.
If Jason's blast hit his mark it would feel as iff someone had slammed something similar to an I-beam into him with the force of a professional bodybuilder's strength. Jason would fire one more quick burst from his soles to break his landing and regain his previous grip on his weapon. If he missed and Chephros tried to counter. Well Jason would have to work with that.
Either way energy is down to 6

The flash came again, this time as the momentum was causing Chephros to arc back to his feet through the air. He was sailing backward and had tucked his wings in to let momentum take its course. One wing slipped out quickly then, and that caused him to start spinning in a clockwise direction. It picked up speed as his wing pulled in and the beam that came from the attack slammed into multiple parts of his body, this it spread out. He slammed into a wall, seeing as he was straightening up and falling diagonally. This still hurt but he didn't mind that much.
Jason was falling though and so he was going to need every advantage he had. Chephros spread both of his slightly large demonic wings and flapped them hard to propel himself forward as he took off running. Folding both wings in at the last moment, he turned his shoulder and tucked his body in a bit. A shoulder slam to the body was always painful as blocking it was damn near impossible. Weapons simply glanced off as people were pretty pain resistant in their shoulders sometimes.
If this hit Jason would be flung backward with the force and probably on the ground. If he was indeed rammed to the ground Chephros would continue running forward but lean down and grab Jason's collar. He would pick him up forcefully and literally throw him into the opposite wall. It would be hard for him to boost out of that considering he would literally have to tuck his legs under him when he was flying pretty fast. If Jason moved then Chephros would quite simply stop and face him.

Well at least it hit this time Jason thought swing his staff up into his waiting right hand as Chephros came in to slam into him. Jason had his staff in the way but the force of the attack still sent him back to the ground into a roll. He managed to get his feet under him and skidded to a halt as his foe came in useing the same momentum from the shoulder ram. Jason leapt back swinging one-handed with his staff in his left hand. The swing wasn't really an attack but a means to keep his foe back. if it did hit it would hurt though but Jason had the feeling Chephros wouldn't be dumb enough to get hit and deviate from his course.
If he altered his course Jason would make sure and turn however he needed to keep his gaze on Chephros. Either need to call out a draw or end this quick. I still got some left in me but I am running out of energy I can feel it. he thought.
The whole of Jason's actions of course would depend on what Chephros did.

Chephros kept going, but he was skidding to a halt as his right hand shot up to meet the staff. Sure, it would hurt like hell catching the weapon but he would. He made sure to bring his hand down on the blade, as he had only seen Jason call the energy blade out of the end. He doubted that he could make the blade just appear anywhere. The end was a separate focal point and thus on a circular staff those were the only ones really. At least, thats what Chephros was hoping. He only thought that it was a double ended staff that could possibly have energy come out of either end.
Now, heres why it was very unlikely that the grab attempt would miss. When your swinging something it's very hard to stop even if you add another hand to the force. Make it rise or fall, yes, but not simply stop it and reverse it. If he made it go down it would be much easier as it would bang into the ground and reverberate a bit as the shock and force traveled up the staff and through Jason's arm. If he made it rise Chephros could simply jump and fly at it, most likely faster than it could swing too. Of course, he was slightly tired as well but he still felt like he could fight so he would push his body to its limits.

Jason's reaction was really rather simple. He saw what Chphros had planned and let go of his staff right as the demon grabbed it. Once more his blast attack would shoot out just as Chephros would halt, There was one difference. He was useing both hands for the attack. He used the rest of the energy he had for a final blast. The chances of Chephros getting out of this was was slim to none as the beams would fire right as he stopped and while not lightning fast they moved very quickly and as Chephros was practically right on top of him his chances of missing were just as slim.
Jason pushed off leaping back. the outcome would end in one of two ways. He would have dealt the finishing attack from what he could judge as he had put the last of what he had into the beams.
Or he would have to surrender as without any more energy and being weaponless he had no way to fight against this foe. But he could have the satisfaction of knowing he had been presented a challenge and had given Chephros one in return. It all depended on this last move.

He had the staff and then he knew he was either screwed over or victorious. The flash didn't blind him, his eyes having slightly adjusted to the rapid flashes now, but it did give him this glowing thing in his sight. Like if he looked at the sun and got that greenish glowing ball in front of everything he looked at, only everywhere. The blast literally flung him backwards and he slammed back into the wall thirty feet away. It was a damn powerful attack and it took Chephros three minutes to actually stand up. The staff had impaled itself into the wall four inches from his head.
Yanking it out he used it as a walking stick until he got to his wrist blades. Kneeling down he forced his arms into them and then ripped them from the ground. He was using some of the last reserves he had to do this but he still had some energy left. Picking up the staff he walked over to Jason. This had been an interesting match and some good combat experience. "That was a good fight." Chephros said this evenly and without any hint of sarcasm. It truly had been a decent fight between them and now he guessed it was over, seeing as he had his weapons and Jason's only material weapon, and the boy seemed to be drained of basically all his energy.

Jason was standing the entire time but he couldn't really move. Instead he stood breathing heavely. he gave a nod in response to Chephros' comment. "Yeah. that was pretty damned fun. I haven't had to exert myself like that before. We'll have to do this gain when we both get better. Want to call it a draw?" He asked holding out his hand as they never really properly greeted each other. he wasn't really concerned about the claws as he was going up to the medical wing after this.

Chephros had the strength to where he could have impaled Jason's chest and watched him die but he ignored that. "Yeah, a draw seems reasonable." Seeing the outstretched hand Chephros flipped the staff over, to where he figured the blade would come out of if Jason did something, and handed the staff to him. He would rather not inflict more pain for the time being, partly because he was simply tired and wanted a bit of rest anyway.

Jason knew he had taken a ris in trusting Chephros not to attack one last time. "Decent of you." he said with a small smile as he took the staff and used it to support himself a bit. Not that he really needed it but it still helped a bit.
"So where are you heading after this?' he asked curious as to Chephros' plans.
OOC: Ack the minimal post hurst after all that.

(Had to go help folks that time)
"I'll probably walk around and explore the Academy then sleep." As if that was his own cue, Chephros turned on his heel and started walking away. His first destination was in fact his room, where was going to simply fall asleep. Had he lied to Jason about wandering around the campus? Yes, but then he was a demon so that was almost do be expected wasn't it? The next day he would tend to the burn marks in his armored clothes and then the day after he would probably attend one of the classes.
