Both Shin and Jason arrived safely inside the training grounds, after having used their magic to leap out the window and down the cliff to reach it faster. Shin stretched his arms out as he walked onto the field in which he saw was filled with students trying out their skills with their magic, some throwing balls of energy at targets, some clashing magical weapons together, and others firing guns at flying disks. “Wow…” He said slowly as he looked at the diversity of magic being used about the area. “It’s all so interesting… So many different types of magic… So many different ways of manipulating mana…” He looked about in awe.
“Fight me” He said simply, not actually looking back at Jason. His voice was almost energetic. He turned around his face ecstatic as he almost fought the urge to leap into the air. “Fight me! I wanna have a fight!” He yelled excitedly. He had seen many duels going on about the field, and he wanted to try it for himself. He quickly pulled out his cards and spread them out in his hand, taking the black card out and placing it in his breast pocket, removing it from the deck before quickly shuffling it and dropping the cards back into their holder.
His hand did not move from the slot however, as he quickly grabbed hold of the top card and drew it, holding it out in front of him. “Aldayc!” He shouted. The card faded away into nothing, his hair becoming a very light blue colour along with his eyes. His hair seemed to become ethereal. However, as you looked closer, his entire body appeared to become similar, every breeze that blew by him causing his body to fade and reappear as though the wind wiped away streaks of him. “Let’s do this!” He yelled, his voice was echoed by a raspy voice that doubled up on his own.

Jason stopped his desent with a quick burst from the soles of his feet and hovered for a few seconds before touching down lightly. He turned at mention of the battle and grinened grabbing the cylinder at his side and letting his mana be focused through it. It was similar to it's normal shape but h had made it without an edge that could cut making it more as if he would be useing a wooden sword.
"Interesting transformation. Let's go" he said starting off with a basic energy blast. His right hand came up with the palm facing Shin and a bright flash shot out that would blind him for a few seconds if he didn't have resisitance to this sort of thing. Then a green beam of his mana shot out with enough force to feel like a heavy kick to the gut. Jason was going to use smaller amounts of his power but he wasn't going to go easy on this guy.

Jason activated his sword, which seemed blunter than it had been, making it impossible to strike a lethal blow with his weapon. The flash caused Shin to throw his arms over his eyes, shielding them from the majority of the attack, leaving him merely seeing dots in his vision for a few seconds. However, as his arms fell away from his face, he saw the beam that was flying towards him at high speeds. It seemed that the flash had been an after effect of the beam rather than a stunning spell in itself. Using his new lightweight body to his advantage, he pushed off to the left, feeling the beam graze past his shoulder, hitting him only slightly and seeming to erase that portion of his body for a few moments before it faded back into sight.
“Not fast enough!” His augmented voice shouted as his right arm thrust upwards as he continued to skim the surface in somewhat of a semi-circle around Jason. Suddenly a huge gust of wind would blast into Justin’s chest, hitting him hard and throwing him back several feet. The attack was invisible, as it really was a gust of wind at super high speeds. So unless he was anticipating the attack, it would be difficult for him to evade the point of impact. Shin seemed to glide about the grounds with greater ease than before, as he had obviously become lighter, more agile. It seemed like he wavered between a gas like substance, and a solid body.

Jason felt wind slam into him and knock him abck. instead of resisting he jumped back with it lessening actual damage. he then focused his mana letting lopose another blast but this coming from the bottoms of his feet rocketing him at Shin. He had his weapon held outwards and slash inwards by a simply flick of his wrist when he was in weapon range aiming to slash across Shin's chest lightly. He wasn't sure if this would hit though considering the fact that his beam attack seemed to phase through him. He had his right hand tensed and ready to be used for counters in case Shin tried countering now that Jason was in range.

As Jason was hit, he threw himself with the wind, significantly lessening the blow. “Cleaver” Shin said with a grin as he watched his opponent fire energy out of his feet, sending himself rocketing towards Shin. He pulled his sword out to allow him to swing inwards at Shin. The attack stance was fast, but obvious. Shin waited until the last moment he could make it, understanding the speed differences between himself and Jason’s rocket attack.
Shin suddenly leapt into the air, coming up and over Jason, thrusting his arms downwards and firing two swirls of wind downwards. He had used the spirit’s powers to manipulate the wind into spinning spirals around his arms as he jumped, and fired them down as he arched over Jason, both of them striking down at his back like two high powered springs being released, impacting into his body. If it was successful, Jason would receive a very hard blow to his back, either causing his rocket boost to shut off, or sending him haywire and out of control.

Went up eh? Jason thought positioning his right foot to allow him to rotate so he faced Shin seeing his arms being thrust out. Jason knew better this time and held his right hand out creating his shield. The attack bounced harmlessly off of it and Jason stopped the flow of energy through his feet and landed smoothly skidding to a stop. Despite the sword he used Jason was not truly a melee fighter. He was more geared for spellcasting and knew how to handle this sort of battle.
"Not bad. Not bad at all." He said with a smile wating for Shin's next move.

As Shin’s attack fired down, Jason pulled a maneuver that he hadn’t expected. Using one foot, he rotated his body, facing Shin and pulling up a shield that seemed to harmlessly deflect the whirlwinds. As they both landed, Shin grinned. “That thing can absorb impact too? Pretty powerful spell” He said as an offhand comment. He then pulled both his hands into the blade position, contracting all fingers and thumbs except his index and middle on both hands. “But it seems to be unable to cover your entire body… Which gives me an unexpected advantage.” He told Jason with a smirk.
Shin crossed his arms over his chest in an X shape, his hands still in the same positioning. “I’ll dull it a little… But this will cut you…” He warned before striking out. It wouldn’t be a deep cut or mortal wound… Just deep enough to draw blood. But a graze that would heal in less than a day, so he figured that Jason could handle it. He shot towards Jason, gliding across the ground as though he was being pushed along ice. As he got closer, he thrust both arms outwards, and this caused two noticeable arks of white to fire towards Jason in an X shape. They were razor wind, and though he pulled the spell so that it would disperse after a light cut, against a general monster, he was capable of slicing right through them.

Jason chuckled. Shin spoke a bit too much for a person in combat. Once more a blast issued from his feet this time launching him strait up over the attacks. He thrust his left hand out and extended the blade from his weapon by focusing more energy into it to lance out aiming for Shin's ribs.
"Next time just attack don't talk." he said hovering in the air as he changed the flucuation of his bursts from his feet to stay in the air. this gave him a huge advantage as moveing about wouldn't be a problem for him.
Energy is down to 20.

As Jason rocketed up, Shin suddenly started to swing his arms about in different directions, sending wave after wave of these wind blades at all different angles at the ascending Jason. ‘Unless the speech is meant to distract you’ He thought to himself silently as he too shot up into the air, keeping Jason on the offensive with his blades. A small cyclone had wrapped around his legs, and he used the wind in this way to bring himself into the air along with Jason. It wasn’t the best way to fly, but at least like this he wasn’t draining himself. Since they were slowed enough to be unable to harm Jason too much, they were also very energy efficient, and so took little toll on his mana to do this.
Each direction Jason tried to move in, Shin would fire off a blade at him, cutting off his maneuverability that he had tried to gain by getting up into the air. And having two attacking arms allowed him to quickly change tactics if need be. For the moment, he would block Jason’s escape attempts, and at the same time try to slice him with a second attack. It was a very sticky situation he was now in.

Jason noticed the change in attacks. A simply remedy He put more of a burst to accelerate the ascent. He didn't get off track easy at all. He did instead toss the cylinder away as he rose and the blade dissapeared as it left his hand. He put up his shields with both hands his left over his right. This covered his body completely.
He grinned from behind his shield. His main strength was the energy at his disposal. It wouldn't be easy getting through his defense. He used another quick burst positioning his feet so he could strafe Shin faceing him the whole time as he moved to the right keeping his shields between them. he then had an idea. he had toyed with the concept a few times but hadn't tried it before. Focusing his powers he thrust his arms out and the shields were sent at Shin being little more than a blur. Avoidable but not easily so.
If the attack hit it would pack enough foce to feel as though a car had hit Shin. Jason had noticed that when his attacks had hit a single point it seemed to phase through him. The amount of are his combined shields covered would hit every surface of his bodyif it was a direct hit. Jason figured it would be highly pointless to attack if it phased through him and he would have to defend until Shin ran out of energy.

As Jason covered his body by forming two shields, Shin stopped his assault, now understanding why the barrier wasn’t so large. ‘Energy conservation…’ He thought silently as he watched Jason think for a moment, before firing both the shield at him in succession. ‘Damn it!’ He thought as he shot backwards, quickly thrusting both hands out at the two flying shields, causing a large gust to push against them, slowing them down with the heavy wind resistance.
He didn’t have time to evade the attack, and so managed to slow it enough that when it hit, it only felt like hitting a wall at a slow jog. The attack threw him back however, and he only just managed to stop himself from crashing into the ground at the last second. He then landed on his feet and thrust his hand out, causing a card to form between his fingers and his body to revert to its original state. “Guess you’ve got that one figured out… Try this one!” He yelled as he whipped out the next card seamlessly as he inserted the old one back. “Zusuk!” His voice cried out, and quickly the card vanished. His body started to toughen, making his skin grow plates of armor similar to that of a beetle. His eyes turned white and became segmented, and out of his back sprouted two clear wings, and finally, a small horn protruded his forehead.
“Here we go!” He shouted, his voice now seemingly accompanied by a low buzzing sound. This was by far one of his most intricate transformations, making him look almost completely different. His wings started beating faster than the eye could determine, causing a similar buzz to the one in Shin’s voice. He suddenly took to the sky after Jason, heading straight for him, his horn lowered in a charge as he fired like a missile at his opponent’s mid section.

Well well. Now isn't that an interesting change. I have the feeling my blast attack won't do much agains that hide. But this might. He thought as raised his right hand. His fingers slightly curld. He was aiming right as Shin was done talking and as he came up at Jason a norrow beam fired out of each of Jason's fingers. he was aiming for Shind's right side goingf for one of the wings hoping that they were his sole base of flying in this form.
Either way Shin had enough momentum that even if Jason hit he would still reach him. jason went to move after firing his beams but was caught in the ribs but not by the hirn but by Shin'd body itself. But the horn did hit his right arm. His arm wasn't disabled now but it sure hurt like hel. Jason tumbled down from the sky and managed to get his feet under him and stop his fall with a quick burst landing within arm's reach of his cylinder. He grabbed the cylinder and the blade appeared as his mana flowed through it. he woul see what Shin's condition was before doing anything else though.

As Jason aimed his fingers, Shin barrel rolled, allowing the two small beams to pass harmlessly over his chest. He continued the roll as the attack faded, and his body slammed into Jason as he tried to avoid the human spear assault. They collided heavily, and Jason was thrown off his mid air balance, shutting off his boosters and plummeting towards the ground. At the last moment, he fired his boosters and landed gently, soon followed by Shin. His lips curled into a grin for a moment, and held his hand up. A claw started to form around it, hardening like the plates that covered his body.
A slight buzzing sound would be heard forming as he folded his wings back under his shell like torso, and he moved slowly towards Jason. He was heavily guarded in this form, but he sacrificed a lot of speed while on the ground. As he got closer to Jason, the buzzing became a bit louder. Suddenly, Shin swung the back of his claw at Jason’s ribs, trying to connect the blunt side with his side using enough force to throw him off his feet and bruise the skin, but holding back enough so as not to break anything.

So it looks like I need to keep you on the ground. thought Jason and seeing the attack come in he let himself fall back letting the attack pass over him though it tore his shirt open.. The soles of his shoes almost against Shin. he grinned widely and once more his mana flowed through him expelling from his feet with more force than ever before. It was likely to horrbily scorch Shin and at the very least the force of it would send him flying back. It packed enough force to match a chevy 450 going at about forty miles an hour. Of course Jason was sent flying back from it but with no damage.
He was going to be roughly seventy feet away when he slowed down enough to roll to his feet and stand. he wondered how Shin would have taken that one.
