Since Eyvindr had arrived at Arcane Academy, the place he had found most to his liking was the training grounds. Not because it was a good place to fight, though that was certainly a plus, but because there was so much to see there. Even mere elementalists were nice to watch. Flame met earth, metal struck water, light and darkness clashed, wood twisted into any conceivable shape, and the air itself tore at the flesh of the wielder's foes.
Even better were the styles of those who used arts other than elementalism. It was always delightful to see substances spontaneously change at the will of an alchemist, and having a card or scroll spew substances was always interesting.
Eyvindr himself was not fighting. He was content to simply sit and watch, his keen golden eyes darting around the training grounds, following at least five fights at once and making perfect sense of all of them. In a way, he was doing a mental exercise. And for his style, that was all he needed. Once one mastered the basics of telekinesis, lifting more weight was achieved by hundreds or thousands of hours of practice. And to use it effectively in combat, being able to split one's focus was almost as key as the basics.
So there Eyvindr sat. Just watching.
