Chaos, the energy of demons. In this demon's veins it was his second life, if it ran out, like blood, he would die. However, for any lucky person who could feel Chaos, such as demon's, arch mages, or people with demonic abilities, they would feel the massive release of Chaos. From where though? The training grounds. This made it oh so much more easier in the event of someone coming along to find him, as Chephros often trained. It was what he did for fun, he fought for enjoyment and for power, and it was the thing he hoped to be known for. His power. However, the release of Chaos was what he was trying to control.
Ever since....forever, he had the ability to let his energy manifest in the form of dark purple shadows that flowed like fog. It would covered wherever it was and flow around depending on the amount concentrated. Now, this was mostly just for effect as it didn't actually do anything other than look damn cool. That was what he was trying to change and the quick way was using already existing techniques. Namely, his Helix Blast. It was a focused release of Chaos that used momentum and energy cycling to create a constant line of fire that would explode or connect with a target based on distance.
What he wanted now was a shorter and much simpler version, in which his hands released his energy into his attacks. First he would use it for his bare hands and feet, then his blades and tail, and finally his wings. If he could 'pulse' or rapidly flap his wings and send out direct waves of Chaos, then he could have what looked like a mass of attacks that would actually be Chaos Manipulation. To practice, he was focusing his Chaos like he did with Helix, and then cutting it short and tensing his arm while moving it forward like a punch. The energy moved forward and so far he could get bare releases, only a fragment of the power he put into it.
And to count how many tries he had he was cutting into the bare ground. He was training in a plains area with sparse trees. The grass was level and he had cleared away some to create a ring of pure dirt. There was a second patch nearby with one hundred and fifty six lines in it. Each one was an attempt. Focusing his power again, Chephros pulled his left arm back and then punched it forward. A slightly larger release this time, but still a fragment. He needed a way to release all of what he was charging, like he did for his Helix. Stepping to the side, the edge of his blade cut a second line in a new four vertical line, one diagonal, segment.
"Damn this is hard."
