OOC:Crap name, ah well.
IC:
After being at the academy for a few weeks Narin still had the same attitute to life there. That was that there was pretty much nothing at all fun to do except to go crazy in the Training grounds. The only thing close infact was destroying some monsters somewhere but it was different. Narin wandered onto the Training Grounds. Once again he didnt have an opponent so like last time he would just look around and engage whoever wasnt fighting someone. He wandered along the grounds and entered a training court.
"Guess i'll wait for somebody here..." he said simply to Aergarsth as he gave the Shinruki a few swings.

Wandering back into the training grounds, not as anxious, but just as determined as last time to get in some training, he was moving at a decent pace. His sister skipped along at his side, her arm going up and down as that left hand of hers was held in place by her grip on the ring and middle finger of Mantis' right hand. The bug manipulator caught sight of somone walking around, swinging a damn big sword around. It was huge compared to Mantis' Wakizashi, but then again, Mantis usually didn't use that thing.
"You look ready for a fight." Mantis said, coming to a halt somewhere near the man, Julie just humming to her self and shifting in place. Hopefully this guy was up to getting his ass handed to him, cause the apprentice was ready and waiting with the silver platter. Finally, after the break he'd taken, Mantis was ready to train, and he was gonna train, no matter who he had to fight. And in truth, he was going to be a pretty hard person to beat. Not only did he have a nice bit of magic to play with, but his physical skill was on a pretty high bar, despite his low physical speed.
It did look as though he might have to use his weapons though, since trying to block that thing would proove hazardous.

Narin raised his eyebrow at the little girl by the boys side. "Is it wise to join her in with this?" he thought to himself. He shrugged. "Indeed I am, and I hope you are too." he said followed by. "Lets go Aergarsth." he said to the sword. He would then summon his wings and then shoot up into the sky so the sun was directly behind him. To Mantis, he would only be a black sillhoutte and he would also be blinded by the suns brightness. During which Narin would enflame the Shinruki and throw it down at Mantis in an attempt to stab him.
He was thirsty for combat and in this he would not hesitate, if the girl remained on the battle ground it would be her mistake and if the boy wasnt ready it was his own foolishness for being unprepared on a battle field. He cared little for proper battle politeness. The whole bow to your opponent crap didnt suit him and he was easy to move into things fast as the boy would see.

Mantis only squinted slightly as he looked up to his opponent. He had been a little surprised by the flaming wings, but having lived with Mark for the past who knows how many years, it didn't phase him too much. Letting go of her hand, Julie was gone. She'd bolted well out of the way with super human speed and was soon sitting on a large rock, watching the two go at it. Mantis had trained out in the sun for a good portion of his life, so the glare from the sun wasn't that bad, and he managed to see the sword coming right at him.
On a last second reaction, which he was pretty damn good at, Mantis rolled to the left in a slightly circlular pattern in that he went in a quarter circle to the left. When he was on his right knee, a single silvery glint could be seen as his right hand flashed up. A dube' throwing knife was now soaring up to where the sillhouette was located in the sky, aiming for the torso to inflict some rather superficial damage, but the bleeding wouldn't stop very soon, especially if it hit just below the ribs in the center of the stomach where there were several thin tendons that controlled the abdomen muscles.
Momentarily, Mantis' coat was off and his right hand was behind his back once again, this time poised to draw his wakizashi. He tried not to use his magic as much as his physical ability, but it would look as though he'd have to. This guy was using magic right out of the gate and the bug manipulator would have to use some of his abilities to counter it. But as it stood, he was still on one knee, poised to strike with his sword as well as roll away on a moments notice.
