The world was floating by, in this empty space this vast empty white space filled with dim colorless stars- she felt nothing and wished for nothing. She floated rather than laid or stood, her feet touched no ground- for there was no ground to touch, only emptyness.
"Momma, where am I?"
Appearing, turning into exsistance was the woman in white- all of her which stood out in this empty plane was the raven hair surrounding the gentle expression of the woman she depended on even in death. Slowly the white robes the woman wore shifted and became the color of fresh blood- filling the colorless world with more vibrance and life than it had ever intended to contain. The sound of walls fracturing echoed in her ears but she payed it no mind as the woman wrapped sun touched arms around her. Rich perfumes of lavendar and sage filled her senses, the smell of her mother and of comfort.
"Oh my Darling Little Girl, what am I to do with you?" the woman cooed, holding her tighter. "What happened?" she managed, her voice hoarse and strained- as if it was tired from long agony.
The woman released her, though never released her hands, gray eyes stared into hers and she saw tears well down the woman's face. Sorrow radiated from the woman and it echoed as a sob escaped the painted lips which only moments before held a smile which made the heavens sigh.
"Momma? Why- why are you crying?"
The woman wrapped arms around her again, holding her tighter and tighter as the seconds passed and as shaking wracked the woman's body. Soundless sobs escaped the woman and solwy, Talbot wrapped her arms around the woman, hugging her with all her strength- though her arms still hung limply. The woman froze at the touch, her sobs stopped- floating back only far enough to make eye contact, the woman answered, "My Little Girl, you are free of the curse but in this- you are only half of who you once were."
"I don't understand," she stared up at her mother, this woman, this angel of mercy, the sound of the walls falling into the abyss below- as if it were the ocean, beyond the walls was colors never seen on in any dreams, images unheard of, beings and creatures never seen in exsistance- but that was not for her, it couldn't be and wasn't.
The woman smiled, her tear stained face seemed all the more beautiful even now, leaned foreward and kissed her forehead, "I have no other way to explain it. Goodbye, My Darling."
The woman let her go, and she fell, fell with the walls of the room, fell into the milky ocean, felt as though she was drowning into the darkness beyond the light. It flooded her sences and soon accepted it. She floated in the darkness, just as she had the light.
~*~*~*~*~
Sitting up, she gasped, tearing at her bandages as her chest burned and body shook, she shook her head and shivered hard. Turning her head this way and that, she felt her heart thudding against her chest as her hands rose to her face and she began tearing at the cloth which was wrapped around her head. She felt like she would hyperventilate, as if she couldn't breath- why did she hurt so badly? Why was her head bandaged? And why could she bearely make out the sounds of words around her?

"Thanks for the use of the manual, Doc, It was very helpful," Torm says as he hands a leatherbound book to a severe looking man in medical scrubs, who takes the book and pats Torm's shoulder with a muttered 'No problem, anytime, Torm.' Doc seems pretty busy today, and Torm understands completely as the short surgeon practically darts off without saying anymore. The world is a busy place, especially for one who cares for the sick and dying; there's never a shortage of them.
Torm makes to leave, when he hears a racket from a nearby room. A bandaged female patient, lying in a bed unattended, seems to be having some sort of fit! She is clawing at her bandaged face frantically and flailing all about, and there are a lot of beeping sounds coming from some nearby instruments. He can't tell who it is behind the bangades, but it's clear that she's in some sort of distress. Torm enters the room and kneels by the bead near her and speaks in a clear, calm voice. "Wait, miss, wait! Don't hurt yourself. You're in a hospital, it's safe. Calm down." Torm feels that it's not so important what he's talking about at this point, but that she knows there's someone there trying to help; she needs to calm down. Torm grasps one of her scrabbling hands gently but firmly. "If it hurts, just squeeze as hard as you can, you'll feel better. Damned if I didn't wish I was a healer sometimes."

Talbot was startled by the outside being- the words were muffled and difficult to understand and at the moment being touched was the last advisable thing- hence the bright red warning notice at the foot of her bed. Out of reflex, Talbots lips moved to form the words, "Ribbon Cut", the energy channeled to the hand being held and the spell began tearing at the hand which held hers.

Torm jerks his hand back as the being, whever/whatever she is, begins to cast some kind of damaging spell on him that tears at his hand! If he hadn't been wearing one of his magically reinforced gauntlets, thisgs could have been much worse. Only now does he spot the sign at the foot of the bed, warning against going near the patient.
"Damn, that was stupid of me...they really shoud have that sign somewhere more visible though, so I might have known about it." Torm figures that maybe this is a situation he should not be walking into without a better reason than passing concern. In his opinion, there probably should be a doctor or ward or nurse or something watching over a patient as clearly dangerous to herself and others as this one was. Torm peers around the hall and sees none in sight, so he decides to sit and watch at a safe distance; it was not in his nature to just leave.

The spell continued, Talbot used it to cut the cloth from her face and removed it. Opening her eyes, she knew instantly something was wrong- the world was still dark. She rubbed her eyes with the hand without spells on it and found only pain behind the movement, she winced and started to get up. Her entire body felt like she had been rolled in glass shards, her lungs strained to gain air and she wanted nothing more than to see again and to know where she was.
Her throat strained to make sound, her words faded in and out as if she were a poorly tuned radio, "Pl...se...I...sor..y."

Torm is both surprised and concerned as the patient begins to get up and move. The spell that had lashed out at him at first was used to cut the cloth away, and she seems to gasp for air. "Careful, careful..." he says, speaking slowly and deliberately. Torm isn't the best judge of physical condition from observations, but it seems to him like her senses are out of wack. Now, a hoarse, broken whisper escapes her lips, and the sound is laden with anguish to Torm's ears. "No...it's all right, don't apologize. Don't try to speak."
Naturally, Torm is curious as to what could have put her in such a state, but this was, of course, not the time to be asking questions that would not help the current situation. As a precaution, Torm weaves a few strands of spirit around his left arm to form a barrier on which he can catch any sporadic attacks, and then he moves from the chair across the room to crouch besides the bed. "You are in the recovery wing in Arcane Academy." He speaks clearly and slowly again, to make sure she gets the message, hopefully. "Can I get you anything? I'll fetch a doctor, if you need one."

She recognized the presence of another, though blind she could feel the vibrations of his magic. The being spoke slowly and she began nodding her head at the word 'doctor'. The only word she had been able to make out of all the other words. She was on edge, ready to jump and panic, ready to run- even though her world was dark.

(OOC: Sorry for the delay. I just have no idea where to go with this ;D) Torm can tell he's not helping at all. She's just getting more panicky... he thinks. He gets up and goes to the door, and shouts down the hallway. No one answers. "Isn't there anyone else in this damn hospital?" he mutters visciously. Torm returns to crouching besides the lady. He waves a hand across her field of vision, and her eyes do not follow. Now he clicks his fingers off to the side. No reaction, as far as he can tell. She's suffering from sensory deprivation. Total disorientation...I'd panic too. Without a way to communicate visually or with sound, Torm is basically at a loss as to how to communicate with the patient. Well, she seemed to hear a little of what I said...she nodded, anyway; I think it was a response. Torm looks around a little and notices a placard bearing the patent's name. "Talbot," he says, hoping that maybe the familiar name would be easier to decipher with impaired hearing. "Talbot." he says again, and places a hand on the edge of the bed in such a way that she could tell he had it there, but that he was not touching her. He didn't want to freak her out again.

She shifted as something settled on the edge of the bed, colorless eyes moved unsurely towards it- as if she would be able to see it, but to her dismay she couldn't. Her ears- still unable to pick up the defined word could still pick up the syllables through the muffled sounds. She turned her head back towards where the sound was eminating, blinked slowly. Was that her name? It had to be right? What had the black haired woman in her dreams called her? My Darling...that was no name she recognized but the sounds whoever it was near her was making was familiar. She waited, maybe this person was someone she knew...but why couldn't she remember any specific name- who was talking to her?

(OOC: This is a little behind your more current story happenings, but finishing what was started might prove to be optimal)
To Torm, she seems to be waiting for something from him. He can't really communicate with her effectively though, so he doesn't know what to do. Maybe some water for her throat? If she's been in this bed unconscious for a long while, it would be no surprise that her throat is hoarse. Torm reaches up and back and grabs a cup off a shelf, and fills it with some water from a tap. Speaking slowly and clearly like before, he says "Water" a few times and nudges her hand gently with the base of the cup so she knows where it is. He hopes she won't react violently again; though he doesn't know her and knows that the academy medical staff is competent and professional, he harbors a degree of concern.

((OOC: no worries this one will be easy to finish ^.~))
Talbot carefully took the cup, sniffing the contents she sipped the water. Shaking her head, she threw the cup to the floor and gasped as her throat fell like a small animal had clawed the inside of her throat to shred. Tears welled down her face and she held her throat and she started to stand. Sticking her hands out- her intention was to leave but in her state. Her knees buckled and she hit the floor hand. Wincing as she did. She choked out, "wh..e am I?"

Damn! Torm is too slow to stop her from trying to get up and walk, and the water had clearly done no good either; perhaps worsened her discomfort. He quickly abandons his chair and sinks to crouch next to her, ready to assist if she tries to move again. What he really wants to do is to help her get back to bed for some rest, but he was still a little freaked out from the first time he had invaded her personal space. She could tell where he was, anyway, so if she wanted support, she would have to initiate contact. "Safe!" he says loudly and clearly. "You are safe. Hospital Wing. Arcane Academy," he adds with exaggerated pronunciation, hoping that she will understand, hoping to jog a memory or break through the hearing barrier a little or anything at all.
