Common sense would say that it was impossible for flowers to grow in the merciless tundra. Intelligence would say that anyone who would try looking for them in the vast coldness was a fool. Society would believe that intelligence and common sense are never wrong.
But they are.
The snow blossoms, rarest of all flowers, completely white from petals to pollen. Even the stems are snowy white. They blend into the antarctic tundra, making them almost impossible to see. Almost.
It was a relatively nice day in the lowest point in the world, theres was very little wind, the sky was clear, bleached by the biting cold. A figure wandered about in the snow, in a creme snow coat, thin but warm leggings and a matching pair of snow boots. Grayish creme fur (faux of course) lined the top and inside of the boots and around the hood of the coat, which was pulled over the persons head. It was easy to see this figure was female, her long pale tresses escaping from underneath her furry hood, curls fluttering in light wind. Cool gray eyes were wide and alert as they scanned the ground around her in a slow, searching manner. This was Lienn, and like the snow blossom, she too had vanished from known existence. Until now.
After her encounter with Der Monstermeizer, as she found to remember him as, something within the teen had snapped. Something powerful, something dangerous. She was in no mental state to deal with humanity then, so she disappeared, leaving everything she had known behind. The priest, Torm, her new friends Ex and Xeryth who she had but briefly met before the devastating 'class.' Vaguely, she wondered how they all were now. She would soon return to school to continue her education, especially with this new unleashed power, but for now, she had a flower to find.

*Crunch, Crunch, Crunch!* With each new step Raiden implanted a new foot step in the snow. It was sheer fun just listening to the crunchy material waver under his feet. Raiden never before has witnessed so much snow. Its almost amazing that some regions of Earth can contain so much snow. Raiden was already liking the winter tundra land named Antartica. To feel tiny could crystal's of water falling on his bare shoulders and melting away on contact. To Raiden with was just a completely different world.
All the whiteness made him forget his troubles as a demon. To forget all the fighting...all the hassles and worries of class at the academy. Man, this got Raiden all hyped on the inside just being out here in the open. It would be awhile before this demon felt like returning to society. The best thing though that occurred to Raiden while he was out here was the fact that he was all alone. Solitude was the best thing about this winter tundra. Not very many people like to traverse this winter tundra.
Unknown to Raiden though, today, someone else was very much out here as well. There was no possible way he would be able to tell. The blowing wind practically scattered any kind of scent sent so there was no telling who else was out here. All Raiden had was his eyes and ears. In the distance Raiden soon saw someone else walking in his direction. He ultimately couldn't tell what it was. The person was dressed in all white so Raiden's first guess was a polar bear maybe? Raiden honestly had no idea. None theless Raiden wasn't afraid of human encounters no longer, but was still a silent guy.

Blinking, the french girl cleared her gaze as she searched the surface of the snow. It was so bright, and the blossoms she was searching for were so similiar to the tundra she now stared at, that it was a bit straining on the eyes. It was alright though, as Lienn's vision was quite extraordinary for an average human. Well, she wasn't all that average, she was attending Arcane Academy, wasn't she?
Crunch, crunch, crunch.. The sound caught her ears and she glanced up, pale hues focusing on the approaching figure. She narrowed her gaze, pausing in her step to look at him. It was a him she was looking at, as he didn't have a shirt on. So that was quite clear. No shirt in this weather? Lienn shivered slightly as a draft of antarctic wind blew over them. In a normal setting, she wasn't one to voice her thoughts, but curiosity got the best of her at the sight of this abnormality. "Shouldn't you be cold?"
Four simple words, one question mark. Her voice was cool and light, her accent clear, her tone soft. Granted there could be a chance he could miss what she had asked, particularly if he was somehow hard of hearing, but just because she spoke softer than most people didn't mean that she was shy or timid. She just saw no need in assaulting ones eardrums with unnecessary decibel levels of sound.

Raiden continued to walked forward in a predetermined direction. The figure from before only started to get closer and closer until he was standing adjacet to the person. On first glance Raiden picked up that this person was a female indeed. It was only confirmed as soft feminine words escaped her mouth. The one thing he can appreciate is the fact that she spoke in a lowered soft tone. Anyone speaking in a normal tone sounded like they was screaming to Raiden's sensitive ears. Actual shouting only made things worse. Whispering was about the best sounds to Raiden's ears.
Focusing back on the lady's question Raiden mentally laughed that it was her first question, but he didn't show it. Well, she wasn't the first to wonder about his shirtless crusades. The only thing that can be said is that he doesn't like wearing shirts when he doesn't have too. Anyways today was no different. To simple factor Raiden wasn't cold. He couldn't even understand it himself, but it didn't matter. "Well...truthfully...no..." he said with the most words he could push up.
Well, Raiden left it at that for the lady to determine. He was silent of a while, but then decided to say something at least. "Well...just wondering..." he said in his usual humbled and lowered voice. "I was wondering why you're out here?" he said with a tinti of curiousity.

Blinking her pale eyes at him, she took in the words that he said. He didn't appear to be cold, but then again he said that he naturally shouldn't be. Interesting, to be impermeable to such frigid temperatures, it left quite a bit of liberty. The french girl wondered briefly about whether it worked in the opposite as well, but she wasn't about the berate him with questions. She knew that such things could be annoying, and was content in simply pondering their answers.
As he inquired of her business out here in the Antarctic tundra, her gaze fell back down to the ivory snow, resuming her search a bit while she answered. "I'm looking for something called a 'snow blossom.' It's a flower that grows here, and like you, is impressionably impervious to cold. Unlike most other fauna." She squinted slightly to sharpen her gaze as she looked a bit to her right, before realizing that the patch of snow was indeed what it looked like: snow. "But they are near impossible to find, so very few know of their existence."

As he asked her about why she's here in the artic, it seemed the lady's eyes would often drift off. Kind of like she was searching for something. It was comfirmed when she stated her purpose. It seemed she was very well searching for a flower. It was good that she explained that it can stand these terrible condition's. Raiden was about to ask that very question. Raiden had never heard of a snow flower though, or even seen one. The snow blossom some how started to remind him of the cherry blossom trees back in his homeland of Japan. "Snow blossoms? Well...I don't know about those, but I've seem cherry blossoms," he said. "So you're searching for them...hm...I'm currently not doing anything...would you some company while you search for them? I could help you as well," he said.

((whoa, incredible delay. So sorry XD))
Lienn paused, pale hues glancing up at him, a shadow of a smile crossing her face. "Hmm, okay. If you wish. They are rare and almost impossible to find. Do you have good eyesight?" She asked curiously, her tone light like that of wonderment and less like inquiry. Lienn wasn't a prying person by nature, but with the boy's demonlike appearance, she vaguely wondered if any of his senses were more acute.
He would have to have good eyesight if he wanted to find the snow blossoms. Lienn's eyesight was better than the average human's, but that was a skill developed from her tendency to observe rather than blabber on about nothing and miss everything around her in the process.

((No problem!! XD))
"Yes, I do," he said with a nod. Raiden has good eye sight all together. Observation isn't his best quality but he's got a knack for it. Of course it depends on what he's observing of course. Also good smell could contribute to this search as well. Raiden as a demon got a keen sense of smell, as well as hearing. Its not like you could hear a flower shout though, right?
Raiden took a quick glance around the frozen tundra before turning his eyes back on Lienn. "Its safe to assume that the snow blossoms would be white right?" he said with a questionable look. "Also, do you have at least the scent of a blossom with you? Or atleast know how it smells?" he said.

The light airy sound of Lienn laughing could follow his comment. "Yes, theyre white. That's why they're so hard to find. White is everywhere. The snow, the sky, everything.." She bent down momentarily to inspect a clump of snow with her sharp eyes before moving on.
"I haven't smelt them before, but it has been said that they smell like a crisp winter morning. Refreshing, yet light. When they were first found, they were actually harvested commercially as a perfume. They completely overlooked the magical properties of them. That's why there is so few to this day."

Raiden ears twitched when Lienn suddenly laughed. Raiden honestly didn't expect a laugh from her. He really didn't think he was a funny guy, but Raiden never thinks much of himself anyways.
Raiden continued on in the snow in Silence as he listen to Lienn. He watched as she bent downto inspect a clump of snow. Weird...but very interesting. She must have a very good pair of eyes or something.
Lienn mentioned how the flowers were harvested with out their true properties being put into use. Its really sad when you think about it, but Raiden guesses he should expect that from non-magical humans. Their hearts are always hardened...and then never look deeper into things in general. Nuff said...
He took in to mind of the type and smell the blossoms may give off. He then imagined what they would even smell like. As soon as he got that all down, he lifted his nose towards the sky and sniffed for a bit. There was no need to go to the ground since the scent was likely carried through the air.
Raiden finally picked up the scent of the flower. "Hey...I think they're this way..." he said pointing left.

Lienn looked up, a curious look falling over her face at his actions. He was sniffing the air for a scent much like that they were already in, yet he was intelligent enough to know that the snow blossoms smelt slightly different. Slightly. And even then it was near impossible to decifer a smell one had never smelt before. He must had a really good nose.
"Are you sure?" She asked, barely hiding the hopeful tone in her voice.

Raiden started off in the direction the snow blossoms may be. He had to admit it was tough with out the actual scent, but if he maybe peiced clues together, he could figure out how it really smelled like. It was more a gamble than a smart move, but it doesn't matter much to Raiden. "Hmm? Am I sure?" he said turning to look back at her. "Well, I pretty sure it may be in this direction," he said hoping to reassure her hopes.

[[ooc: whoa, late ]] The vagues of smiles crossed the young woman's features. It was really nice of him to help her like this. She followed him slowly, snowboots making their way through the snow. Gloved hands pulled her hood closer around her head as a gust of antarctic air wound its way through the plain. "So, what is your name?" She asked, surprised that she hadn't asked of this before. She would feel better trusting her new companion if she knew a little about him.
