Scholar at Work
It didn't matter to Hakfu what spell he was looking up, even if he couldn't use it. He loved the knowledge that all these books held, and often, he was seen here, in the library, sitting on a comfortable chair at a large desk, with mountains of them piled around him. It had gotten to such an extreme obsession, that sometimes, he even experimented with words and creating new spells in the process, scribbling them down fiercely on paper, stacks of papers filled with drawings of hand motions, inscriptions, and other things..
"..Busy day, busy day... let's see, so far.. 'Electric Reverse', 'Water-Ice Floor', 'Strength Transfer', 'Shadow-Self', 'Shadow-Imitation', 'Light Bulb Blast', 'Self-Augument', 'Iron Fist', 'Holy Sword', 'Water Bane', 'Ice Break', 'Fire Illusion', 'Fish Smell', 'Paper-Plastic', 'Ctrl-Alt-Delete', 'Chess Pawn', 'Bad Breath', 'Alluring Eyes', 'I'm-A-Ninja', 'Dust Upheavel', 'Kamakaze'.. going to ignore that last one.."
Leaning back on his chair, he took a deep breath. He seriously needed to get out more. He'd been in that library for hours.

Hrolf was in the library, browsing for something to do, other than be bored. He figured that reading would be a nice relaxing way to do do, he had not read in quite a while, which was very out of his character. As he was walking around aimlessly about the library, he spotted a guy with tons of books around him. Hm, he might no a good book to read. He must really like to read, or he may just have no social life, either way, he seems like the person to ask." Hrolf headed over to the man, who was of obvious Asian descent. The guy was leaning back, apparently reading took a toll on the man. "Um, hey, I'm looking for a book to read, and considering that you have hoards of them surrounding you, I figured that I would ask you.............So, yeah......what exactly are you doing with all of these books? I mean I like to read, but I don't think that I would like to read that much. Don't mean to sound rude, but, yeah, so anyway, um... the name's Hrolf Ganger, and yours is?" Hrolf was really out of his element, he was not usually the one to start conversation, he obviously wasn't very good at it. He was most likely blushing slightly at how awkward he had just made his, and this stranger's, life.

Hunh!? Too Many Books? Impossible!
Hakfu gave a yelp, as he leaned too far back, startled by the man, and fell backwards onto the floor, with a dull 'thud'. Stunned for a moment, he slowly crawled out of the chair's, and stood up, dusting himself off. Leaning over, he erected the chair into its normal standing position. After that, he looked at the person who had spoken to him.
"Oh.. ah... yes. Sorry about that... startled me. Sorry.. you're looking for a book to read?.."
He looked at the table, and then at some of the bookshelves. They were looking a little bare. He held both his hands together, as if to pray, and bowed at the man.
"Ah! Forgive me, I must've taken up perhaps too many books here. But, greetings, Hrolf Ganger.."
Slowly trying to readjust his composure, he nodded.
"I am Hakfu Song, of the Hakfu clan. A pleasure to meet you."
His head however swept back at his piles of books, and then, looking back at Hrolf, gave a coy smile. But, his mind was already at work. This man, Hrolf, looked about the same age as himself, and had a rather musky, Scandanavian accent. But, it wasn't his job to pry. But, yes! The books, the books!
".. Forgive me, but, I've been researching a vast amount of spells, their abilities, weaknesess, and the strain they put on the caster. You wouldn't believe the amount of joke spells they have here.. but, there are just... thousands of them. Say for example.. this spell called, 'Ctrl-Alt-Delete' will, when energy is gathered in the two pointed forefingers, be discharged at a turned on computer, and destroy its harddrive. Or, a spell called 'Holy Sword', which needs a cross, and, when used, will generate a holy blade out of the cross, making for a good, handy weapon against undead creatures. And even a spell called, 'Chess Pawn', which requires a wooden chess pawn, but, it requires the talents of a wood elementalist, I'm afraid. It basically makes a foot soldier, completely out of wood, that will fight for the elementalist.. forgive me, I blather!"
Taking to the ground, he began bowing, repeatedly, in apology for talking too much.

Hrolf stared at the man blankly for about, probably for a bout two to three minutes, as he bowed continually to him in apology for some reason that Hrolf did not know. It did not look like the man was going to stop anytime soon, so Hrolf figured that he would say.......something, although, he wasn't quite sure to say. "Um...................yeah, so what other spells do you have for a wood elementalist?..........................Perhaps, you could teach me one or two, Song. I would be much obliged, um...........you can get up, you know. There wasn't any need to apologize for a fault that never happened, now please get up Song." Hrolf offered his hand to the man bowing down in apology before him.

Wood Elementalist
Immediatly, he stopped abruptly. A wood elementalist? What luck! Right away, he bolted up, excited.
"A wood elementalist? Your a wood elementalist!?"
A large amount of 'shhhhs' and 'hushs' soon followed, making Hakfu lower his voice.
"A pleasure to meet you, really, it is. But yes, there are some spells that I think you may be interested in. A spell called, "1000 Splinters", "Wooden Doppleganger", and "Branch Outburst." If your interested by an excited, old scholar's little lectures, that is."
Hakfu grinned a little.

Is this guy bipolar? Oh well, a few new spells would be useful." Hrolf smiled, and tried not to look strangely at the man in front of him. "I am always open to learning. So, what spell would you like to start out with first Song?" Hrolf was still trying not to laugh at the strange little man before him, Hrolf certainly found Hakfu Song amusing to be around.

1000 Splinters
"Right, good then.. give me a moment, here."
As he received the reply, he already began digging into his paper work, until he found the 'wood elementalist' section, and flicked through it, finding the choice three spells. He showed the drawn-on paper to Hrolf, showing energy in a hand, and transferring it to a tree by touch. His fingers slid onto the paper drawings, directing them out.
"Okay.. this first spell is called '1000 Splinters'. You'll need to have a tree around you, or you'll need to grow one. By a moderate amount of energy into a tree, you can have it fire in all directions a thousand splinters. Alternatively, you can keep your hand on it, and use up more energy, but direct where the splinters will shoot to. Great for making someone feel pain all over. It requires some wordology usage, however.. you have to say, "Splintera uno numbera thousanda", when you shoot off the tree."
Sliding the paper down on the desk, he slid it towards Hrolf.
"I made a back-up copy of it, if you want that paper. I've done the analysis for it. It uses the energy you feed it as the energy to fire off, but, uses the wordology as the signal to blast off. So, if you leave the area, with the energy inputted into the tree, and you have a group of foes chasing after you, and you use the signaling wordology from within a hundred feet, it should blast at about a thousand splinters in all directions, not destroying the tree, but removing most of its bark. But.. the longer the spell goes without magic to feed it, the more likely it will fire off less then a thousand.. about a minute, I'd say, it will lose a hundred effective splinters to fire off, should you keep it as a 'remote' attack. I suggest trying it out in the training room, just to be sure, though."
Hakfu was already back in the books, looking over them, trying to find the next spell.. he hoped he had been clear enough, and, was willing to clarify any questions.. but his face was completely covered in papers with strange scriptures written on it.

The Priest was listening, and couldn't help but take interest in Hrolf...
So... a Wood Elementalist. Thats... different.
Perhaps, one of my summons could teach you a special trick that he knows. Its something along the lines of a Druid spell. It involves using trees as transportation. Perhaps, we should take a field study, the three of us, yes?

Dev walked slowly among the books, his hand grazing the spines. This was heaven for someone like him. A person who could and loved to learn anything at all. He spotted three people discussing Wood Elemental spells. He didn't know much about it, just as he didn't know almost anything about magic. He sat at a table near them with a rather large tome on spells of protection.

Ere..? Who's This?
As the Priest went on about explaining to Hrolf, who didn't seem to be responding too well to the vast amount of information that the Priest was showing Hrolf. It was a pity really, Hrolf could've really used that spell... great for escapes, and the complexities of spell combinations that could be used!..
Eh?
Twiddling his fingers, looking around at the book titles from the "A-Z's of Elementalist Spells", to "How to Cook With Spells", and even, "Funny Joke Spells", Hakfu's eyes kept browing until he spotted someone sitting there, watching them. Unfamiliar, even for his own short stay here. Looking around to see if Hrolf or the Priest would notice his departue, he shook his head, putting both hands on the table, and stood up, crouched over the table.
".. I'm going.. for a walk."
Nodding, he went around the table, until he passed by the new guy, and circled around to him, but not looking at him, instead, pretending to be interested in a spell book called 'Iron in All It's Ironic Glory'. The author apparently had a thing for bad jokes. Pulling it out from the shelf, he sat down, near the fellow beside him, his eyes going through the book. That was enough to constitute a 'walk', it was just... drastically short. Raising it up to his face, he became hidden behind it, as to the way he held the book with his right hand. But in a sudden gesture, he extended his left hand to shake, lowering the book down, so that his eyes could be seen, at least now, below his hat.
"Hello there... haven't seen you around before. Forgive me for being bold, but, I'm Hakfu Song, from the Hakfu Clan.. a pleasure to meet you."
Nodding as he said this, a smile crept up on his face, hidden by the book. Who was this guy? And why did he look like a pirate? In truth, it was the pirate suit that had particularly drawn Hakfu to him..

Then again, Dev was delighted about just about everything. He excitedly shook Hakfu's hand. "Hi! My name is Dev Edenos. I'm not from any clan that I know of. I just love this place, don't you?" He smiled and looked around. "I love to learn anything I possibly can, and reading these books are a great way to learn, so I guess I love these books. I'm new here, so you wouldn't have seen me. Only been here a few hours."

"..Really now..? I've got a few, you might be interested in.. Iron Manipulation, Joke Spells, Minor Healing Spells, and other things... about five books in all, currently."

Iron Manipulation, Joke Spells, Minor Healing Spells, and other things... about five books in all, currently." Dev Was ecstatic. Usually it would take him hours of reading to find things he could use or enjoyed, and now Hakfu had taken all the work out of it! "Wonderful! I think I would like to try a few minor healing spells first, they might help if I mess up any of the more advanced spells. Iron manipulation sounds enjoyable but difficult to learn, so after I learn the healing it would be exquisite to try my hand at it. And the joke spells can be cast in there among them to lighten things up when I'm tired! Those things go so well together! Mind helping me get started?" Dev thought for a second. "My parents were really good mages. They graduated from this school when they were only sixteen and eighteen, in order from mother to father, and they taught me a few weird little spells. I don't have much control so stand back." He opened his hands as if he were cupping something and whispered a few words under his breath. A small butterfly appeared and winged its way over to Priest. It hung above his head for a second then landed on his nose. It instantly shifted to an ugly beast with razor sharp teeth, standing right before his eyes, then faded away. "Just an illusion, light manipulation I think."

With Pleasure
Hakfu couldn't help but laugh, smiling at his enthusiastic classmate. He really liked this guy. Reaching inside his robes, he pulled a second book out, then, with his left hand, a third book, a few pieces of paper, and a pen. The titles of the books were, "Ironic Iron Spells", "Healing for Beginners", and "So, You Want To Spend Time Learning Something Stupid". As for the two other books, Hakfu didn't make mention of them, deciding to himself to save them for later. Propping his hand on top first to the 'Healing for Beginners' spell book, he swivelled it around, and flipped through a few pages, his eyes lighting up at this one in particular.
"Ah... here we go. It's called, 'Druid's Joy'. It's a ranged healing spell, so, some of the healing energy will go to waste, but, it's definetly something you'll want to know for times in battle when you can't get close and personal to heal someone. Alright.."
A personal spell he wished he himself could use, but ah well. Jumping to a piece of paper and grabbing his pen, he quickly began to scribble some figures in how they use the spells, from a guy holding a certain position chanting something, to the release of the spell, and the movement, then, the person affected. Below it, he made small footnoes and further description. Finished writing it, he slid it over to Dev, and pushed back his chair, standing in a certain position.
"Okay, watch what I'm doing. It's written down, but this is a visual.."
Slowly, Hakfu put his right foot in front of him, his left foot kept sideways. He bent back his right arm to his side, his hand in a fisted ball, his left hand open, as if beckoning for something.
"Spiritua granthos healus und Dev!"
On that last word, he dropped his left hand down suddenly, and released his right hand up into the air, hand open, as if to expel something. Nothing happened. Nodding, happy with the results of that, he opened back up his chair and sat into it.
"Basically, that first part is a prayer to the Spirits of Healing of Druids, asking them to heal you. Remember that, your 'asking' them. Yea... you need to know the first name of the person there. Or, at the very least, a mental image of who you're talking about, but saying the name helps in the beginning. There is a level 2 version of this however."
Hakfu sat back, smiling.
"Still quite basic, but, it's the same movement, but all you need is the mental image, or at least, know who you're talking about. You need complete focus, or else, the spell will be lost in transition, as with the energy spent on it, so it may take some practice. But then, all it does is revive some dead cells, and spurs them on to produce faster to cover up the wounds... not something useful for serious wounds, but definetly something you'll want to keep friends on their feet.. scarring will possibly occur, even with a successful cast. Do you have all that?"
OOC:
Spell Learned:
-Druid's Joy Level 1: The caster must first set up their stance, putting their right foot forward, keeping their left food sideways, as if they were to connect in the angle, it would be perpendicular, or at least, a right angle. Their right hand must be held back to their side, their hand fisted, while their left hand raised up in the air. They, they must ask out loud to the healing spirits, "Spiritua granthos healus und (Insert First Name)!" as well as think of the person their casting on. On the person's name, they must drop their left hand and raise their right, releasing the healing energy stored up in it, and the spell will go up in air. The healing spirits will respond by healing minor wounds on the selected person, as can be seen by a green light emenating around the person. It will only heal minor wounds, and repair some cells, so, some wounds may not close entirely, and scars may still occur. Uses very moderate, but small amount of energy, and can be used on self, if running or something.

"The energy of your body was obviously being held back,"He paused and shook his head. "I won't ask for details, I don't mess with people's privacy, but the ttruth is I can see the movement that the energy would have taken. It seems the spell can be used to heal yourself as well as those who's name you know, but the secondary version is an increase of the polarization of energy in the separate bodies. In other words, causing your energy to be the polar opposite of the person you're healing, so that the energy is drawn to the person. Seems risky, doesn't it? I mean, one slip and you could heal your enemy!" He showed the completed drawing, showing a Chi like scale of energy which strongly tied to Druidism. "Right?"
