Onira stepped into the library, his black dress shoes making a sort of clack on impact. Interesting. Actually, that wasn't really what first came to mind for Onira. It was more like "HOLY SHIT THIS PLACE IS HUGE!" But Onira would keep that to himself. However, his eyes showed it all. He had only been in the library once before that day, and he didn't really remember much. Now, it seemed even larger than then, and he felt like he was n heaven. He had been in there earlier in the day, but he was in there for a mission. Now he really had a chance to see how truly large it was. And, unlike everything else in the school, it seemed to carry the old wooden decor. It was like stepping back in time. except much more polished.
The apprentice continued inside, remembering what he was there for. He was there to find books. Human alchemy. Onira had already tried Mr. H and gotten nothing. So, all he could do was once again look for a book. However, this time, instead of looking on the computers, Onira removed a large, brown book from the largest shelf. This book was simply brown leather, but it also carried a beautiful gold trim. Onira knew this as the one of the basics books of alchemy. However, it also carried certain information on more advanced forms. Sometimes even on wind alchemy. One of the hardest to master.
The young man took himself and the book to a table, checking the contents page. As soon as he saw the two words "Human Alchemy", he sat down, slowly reading down the corresponding pages.
"No way. I can't believe I didn't check this earlier."

The library was as good a place as any to rest after a nice hot meal. Both Junpei adn Loish had had a rather nice cut of pork for lunch. Junpei having sectioned off a peice of his own for the small lizard. Loish could always fly off and find a rat or something later, when Junpei laid down for sleep, but for now Loish was content dn not even capable of flight with his fat belly. Junpei laughed as the little lizard gave a telpathic burp.
Excuse you.
Junpei, having come here to clear his mind and study up on Dark Arts magic, quickly made his way to that section. He grabbed several books on Dark Arts, Xallas' books were at the top, he would read them first. He had a stack of about 10 books when he was finally done, and carrying them all proved to be a feat in and of itself. Working his way over to a nice, long, sunlit table Junpei Taltos set the books down and wiped his forehead, reading all of these today was going to be a feat as well. Anything to get that private lesson though.
As he looked over the stack he noted a familiar blond haired boy.
"Onira! What are you doing here?"
Junpei's regular happy personality was back, Harlow hadn't been near him all day adn now Junpei had plently of time to get back to himself. Sleep, food, no Harlow for about 36 hours, Junpei was a happy man.

Junpei and Onira had met and initiated conversation at the table, but neither, at the moment, had noticed Xeryth's presence in the room. He was, in fact, just a few seats down from the two, but had not noticed either of them walk in, his head completely buried in a book on Descartes' philosophies on the separation of mind and body. Having spent the entirety of his life isolating one from the other, training his mind and neglecting his body, Xeryth found it interesting just where the two met, and if one truly could survive without the other, or, furthermore, if one even existed without the other. Upon hearing Junpei's voice, the boy peeped up from his book, rather large-looking in relation to the small boy, and listened intently.
In truth, Xeryth was somewhat astounded by the boy. So young, but with such a firm grip on his own abilities, and what impressive abilities they were. In only one day of class, Junpei had managed to master the spell they had learned as well as take it a step farther, when Xeryth himself was only just able to get the magic to work. Thus, he found himself listening to him speak, and had almost forgot to introduce himself. Of course, this was not something that had ever, nor would ever come easily for little Xeryth, so, as best he could, he raised his hand out from his book and waved a little.
"H...hey guys... good to see a few... friendly faces around here..." Xeryth's usual voice, meek and quiet, came out, thankfully just about the average pitch for library conversation. None of the other students in the area even noticed the boy's utterance of speech.

Onira didn't even look up from his work, his mind locking onto the letters. Everyone. He couldn't make a mistake. Not now. There were a few descriptions of some surgeries and operations done through human alchemy. However, more importantly, were the elements of the human body. All of them. This was needed, probably the most. The only way to heal was to bring about the right elements into a physical compilation. This, was the science of alchemic healing. Somewhat more simple than expected actually. Well, the basics anyway. Onira learned that there would be a few pages on advance human alchemy.
The young man replied.
"Hello Junpei. Just studying up. How's your day going?"
Onira, in actual fact, didn't really care about anything else but alchemy for the time being. He just wanted to read.

Nodding to Onira's response Junpei turned to see another familiar face. The same boy from dark arts class earlier that day. He had heard his name, if only he could remember it. Mentally poking Loish Junpei smiled as the little thing grumbled and slowly raised it's head.
Yeah Boss?
You remember the kids name, the psychic one.
Yeah it's Xeryth Varson.
Thanks Loish.
Let me sleep.
Junpei laughed a bit and looked over at the boy once more, he seemed skiddish at best, oh well. Everyone had there own personality and ideas. Each had their own past and there own memories, maybe this kids was just rougher than most. Reaching over with his right hand Junpei scopped up the Jhereg on his shoulder nad set him down in a nice sunny spot on the table. Loish strecthed out momentarily and then rolled on his side, letting his glutonous little belly hang out. Junpei laughed again and sat down in a chair, on the same side as Xeryth.
"It's nice to meet you Xerythn."
Junpei didn't extend his hand, this kid was probably skiddish enough as is. Bringing down the first of the ten books Junpei flipped it open and set to reading, lightly mind you. He would be open for conversation or anything, he had already read this particular book and just wanted it to brush up on the basics. Junpei also brought out a quill, a black ink veil, and a few sheets of parchment. He liked to write in this sort of manner, it gave him a sense of connection to magic's roots.
Opening to a particular set of circles Junpei began to trace them down. These were base summoning circles that would give Junpei the practice he needed. He would then move onto attack black magic, defensive, and then he would go onto more advanced of each.
"So tell me Xeryth, how long have you been here at the Academy?"

Xeryth, while Onira had spoken, had put his head back into his book, and there it remained until Junpei spoke out to him, calling him by his name. Xeryth peeked up quickly, still a bit unused to the presence of other people, especially those who wanted to speak with him. Taking in the question, Xeryth thought for a while, doing some silent figuring before answering.
"Perhaps a few months, really. I've mostly kept to myself, however. It's... really the only way I know how to live..." Xeryth shrugged and smiled apologetically. He knew that proper decorum stated he should have something else to say to the boy, yet, it just seemed so hard. Xeryth was never one for articulating anything, it was just never something he'd needed to know. However, he felt that he should at least attempt to make some advances in this subject, and as such, proposed a question, albeit a bit bold of one, most likely chalked up to his inexperience in the art of conversation.
"You... you can speak to your pet with your mind... can't you?"

Onira, saying nothing, would move his hand to Xeryth's arm. He would then grab the limb, his forearm bone protruding out fo his wrist only slightly, to create a scratch on Xeryth's arm. Onira would then slide his hand down to the scratch, focusing alchemic energy into the solomn seal tattoo on his palm. He read over the paragraph on healing flesh, and his alchemy would follow, healing the scratch. The bone receeded back into Onira's wrist as he closed the book, looking at Xeryth's arm. His mind was buzzing. He didn't see it, but he felt it. He felt like he had done something.
"Did I just heal you Xeryth?"
OOC: Sorry for shortness.

Junpei nodded and looked over at Loish as Xeryth talked. He seemed interested in his and Loish's telepathic connection. Since Junpei could indeed talk to loish with his mind Junpei smiled adn nodded.
"Yes I can, quite well actually. He's intelligent enough to be a smart-ass at times."
junpei gave a short little laugh on the small creatures behalf and was promptly bitten on the shoulder. Junpei shrugged off the play bite and turned back to Xeryth. Right as he did oNira reached over and cut the already edgy boy.
"Onira! What are you doing..."
Junpei watched as Onira healed up he wound and made it look like it was never there. Junpei was still pissed off that Onira had done something liek that. Junpei could see that this boy was frightened as is and didn't need the extra stress.
"Onira.. next time CONSULT someone before you do something like that. Going around cutting people open isn't the best of ideas ya know..."

Upon hearing Junpei's answer, Xeryth nodded quietly, a small, frightened smile escaping his lips. He did not know how to react to the fact that his familiar was of intelligence enough to have a wry sense of humor, so he passed over that to merely speak on how he knew of Junpei's communications.
"I see... I'm sorry... being a psychic, noticing such mental... mental spikes, as they are known, which... which a person gives off when using a mind-related ability becomes, well... rather a - AAA-"
By this point, Onira had quietly reached over and, without warning, sliced open a little gash on Xeryth's arm. Xeryth, as was noted, began to cry out in shock, fear, and pain, but was stopped almost as soon as he began by the feeling of Onira's palm against his arm, just over the cut's surface. Curiosity had silenced him, as well as an even great fright from the light being emitted from the palm of the boy who had just attacked him. Within moments, his palm was lifted, and the gash was closed and returned to normal. Xeryth's eyes, if they could possibly bug out any wider, indeed did so as Onira asked his question.
"Why... why yes you did... that was amazing Onira!!!" Xeryth looked over at the boy with a look of unabashed amazement, as well as a hint of respect and pride. This, however, soon fell back into his usual, quiet and frightened way of speaking. "Of course... perhaps next time... next time, you would warn a person beforehand?"

"Heheh..."
Onira put on a grin, his regular attitude regaining itself. Unlike most who used human alchemy as a destructive power, Onira had already thought of alchemy to cure pain. The science to help not hurt. That had always been, and probably always would be his philosophy.
"I... I..."
Onira finally came to the realization. He had just successfully used human alchemy. He knew almost nothing about it, but he had just used human alchemy.
"I d-did..."
Onira's eyes widened as his body rocketed upward.
"I did it b*tch! Oh yeah! Oh yeah! I... am... AWESOME!!!"
Onira, ignoring all of the stunned glances and disappointed stares continued dancing, using several hip-thrusts and other hilarious maneuvers.
"Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Woot woot!!! Can't touch this!"
OOC: I will admit. I really enjoyed writing that. XD

Xeryth, still more than a little frightened by the entire ordeal, was silent, quietly regarding Onira as he went on, overjoyed with his findings and, apparently, his new ability. The rest of the library, most likely unhappy with his sudden outburst, looked on angrily, but Xeryth grinned quietly, the amazement of the situation not lost on him.
After all, Onira had healed him. Granted, he had been the one to injure him first, but regardless, the boy had done a great thing. With practice, Onira could become a great healer, a doctor of sorts, and many would wish to come to him for help. Even the monetary aspect didn't register to Xeryth quite as much as the idea of helping people. Xeryth quietly wondered if Onira thought the same thing as well.
He said nothing, however, grinning quietly and allowing the boy to jump for joy and celebrate. Xeryth assumed it would not be long before someone felt they needed to shut him up, somehow.
