In the library surrounded by piles and piles of books in the soft light of the little table light sat a man. It was already dark outside as he continued to sit there with his dark eyes scanning the words written in a book that he held in his left hand before himself while he sat with comfort in his chair in the far side of the library where his peace could not be bothered. It was already dark outside as the big drops of rain and the sound of the wind were his only companions in the empty room. But he did not worry about that. He enjoyed such moments of peace. But on the other hand he could never be completely alone. Somewhere in the back of his mind he could sense the presence of his brother. He was actually somewhere close but since Christian did not care for his exact location at this point h did not ask or check.
The library itself was now dark as all the lights were off. One could only see the light falling on Christian’s book in his hand and illuminating a very small part of his face. Even his white suite did not help matter since it was just too dark. If one had some sort of night vision however they would see that in the right side of the chair that he was sitting in there was something thin and long wrapped in a white peace of cloth placed on the ground. And on his right on the little table that also contained quite a few books on it there was a simple empty glass that was once filled with water and a very old one bullet gun. If one had any sort of knowledge about artifacts of this nature they would see that the ignition leather was cocked back as if the gun was loaded and would actually fire if someone pressed the trigger. But the man that sat in the chair seemed to have not a care in the world as his cold eyes continued to run across the words in the book.
The book however was not picked for a light reading. No one would do such thing in the middle of the nigh alone in the library. No this book was far better then that. It was about Chi manipulation and other useful techniques that Christian liked to use. He knew that it would come in handy. All his skills would soon be tested. He also knew that his brother was preparing himself too. And although they were still to meet a worthy challenge around here Christian as sure that there should be at least someone who could do something more then pull a rabbit out of the hat. Either that or this will be over way too soon.
Christian flipped a page with his thumb on that thought…
