Twilight Lounge Off to the side, the right side, of the ballroom is a set of doors that leads to the Twilight Lounge. This is a place where the students and dancers can come to talk and get to know one another. A alcohol and cafe bar is available. All drinks are on the house but drunken students will not be tollerated. They will be teleported to their room and put under a sleeping spell. So keep tollerance and moderation in mind. The soft couches and love seats along with the tables for drinks will allow the students a place to chat or just take a few moments away from the dance floor before returning. So relax and put your feet up so to speak and have a good time.

(Wolf was at the bar table with a glass of whiskey. His cape was hanging from the back, showing his whole body. His left index was tapping the table as he looked at his drink. Placing it down and drew all his cards out on the table. He stopped tapping and starting to shuffle his deck over and over. He then placed five cards in a row, under it was three, under that was one, under that one was three, and the last row was five. After he did that, he placed the rest of his cards in his deck holder. He then fliped over the middle card and saw it was the Joker card. He sighed as he gathered up his cards and placed them in the deck holder with the rest of his cards. Grabbing the cup with his right hand, he drank his whiskey and ordered another one.)

"Where the hell are you, Lucky...?"
Price kicked his feet up onto the cushiony red ottoman, leaning back in his fancy tux, rented especially for this night. Custom tailored to fit his slightly lanky frame, Price, true to his Phae-given moniker, was dressed entirely in black. Black vest, black tie, black shirt, black slacks, and a three-quarters length black overcoat darkened his features. Not a bit of cloth upon him tonight was any color other than black, and he seemed to like it that way.
He had told Phae to meet him at the Lounge as soon as she was ready, he wasn't in any particular hurry tonight, and doubted Phae would be either. With his jacket draped over the top of the chair, and his own self slouching pretty hardcore into it, he casually gave a little wave over to the solitary figure at the bar, glass of whiskey in hand, as a show of casual politeness, and then his eyes closed for the moment, resting as he awaited his date, and what she would be wearing to this fine event.

It was the big night. Prom night. Phae couldn't have been more nervous. There was no ring on her left hand any longer. It sat on the top of Junpei's desk on top of a very tear stained letter for why she was leaving. She was now living in her own room. It wasn't far from Price and just across the way from Phoebe. She stepped out of her dorm room this night and into the hallway. Her long full black dress was brushing the floor barely as she made her way through the school. She had told Blacky to meet her there and now she had butterflies in her stomach. She held it slightly and made her way through the academy and to the teleporters. She stepped through into a beautiful ship. They had agreed to meet in the lounge and she just prayed he was already there. She stepped up into the lounge and smiled a slight blush on her face. Her full black gown matched his outfit perfectly. "Don't you look comfy.' she said with a wink as she stepped into the lounge and let him look her over for a moment. She moved over to him her dress making a lot of noise really as she sat down next to him and kissed his cheek.

Lucian sat on one of the lounge chairs, sipping at a beer. He tugged agitatedly at the collar of his suit. Lucian was not even really sure why he had decided to show up at this damned prom. Stuff like this certainly were not his thing or his area of speciality. He shook his head, running his hand through his hair as he took another swig of beer. Really what was he thinking? He did not even have a date.
"What the hell was I thinking," he muttered softly, shaking his head again as he took another, longer swig of beer. This really was a stupid idea, what was the point of showing up at a dance without a date. Maybe he was hoping that there would be a girl here would also be dateless. But he was getting ahead of himself, any girl that showed up here would most assuredly have a date.

Xavier hurried into the lounge with a grimace on his face. He had screwed up, screwed up big time. He hadn't meant to insult Darts like that. He just remembered that was what she had called him. She had been rude and abrasive Lex before but at least she had also been warm Lex. Now she was cold, rude, and abrasive Lex...that was the most horrible and frightening Lex in the world. The evening had just taken a sharp turn in the wrong direction but Xavier hoped that with any luck he might be able to steer things back on course.
"Lex wait!" he called as he hurried after her, "I didn't mean it like that...I just...that's what you had called him when you told me the story," he said, regret was written all over his face as he called up to her, "Come on I'm sorry," he said, his head cast downwards. He really did feel bad about it, especially since things had been going so well, "Look name something, anything and I'll do it to make up for the dumbass mistake I just made," he said, looking back up in her eyes.

Darts walked into the lounge severely pissed off. Where was the idiot so that Darts could pound the crap into him? He looked around the lounge until he spotted that ass and Lex together still. By the looks of it he was apologizing. Well at least it seemed that Lex didn’t completely hate Darts after all. Whaddya know.
But Darts was still extremely pissed off. He traveled across the lounge up behind that idiot and opened his mouth to yell at the dumb ass but when he saw how pissed Lex was he closed his mouth and sighed. He walked past the man and looked at Lex.
“Yeah...um...Hey...”
It was kind of awkward as that idiot was right there but instead of hitting him and pissing Lex off even more he just decided to say hello to her. He looked at the ground. The night she fell asleep in her room Darts left and felt weird. He still didn’t know what it was but he didn’t really care about it much. But it kept itching the back of his head and it was getting worse.

Damnit. Why did this night have to turn into such a crap shoot. Why was it that they couldn't just have a nice night? No, leave it to Xavier for being an idiot to ruin it all. She stepped into the lounge and heard Xav calling after her. She turned and tapped her foot on the plush carpet beneath her as she listened.
"How DARE you Xavier Mcallister. How dare you use something I told you in confidence against someone. Damnit Xav, get a brain or something. I thought you were different." she said as she turned.
Darts was there when she turned. She looked up at him. He didn't look pleased and damnit she couldn't blame him. She was mad.
"Good evening." she said to Darts. "Thank you for getting me home the other night."
Xavier began speaking again begging for her forgiveness and telling her that he would do anything so long as she would forgive him. Now normally one would expect Lex to make him to the chicken dance or some such like that. But no, that was not what she wanted him to do right now. Right now, was not about her it was about how he had been an ass to someone that though was a jerk didn't deserve that on a night like this.
"YOU! Will appologize to Darts here. And then when you are finished you can find me." she said and left.
She went to the bar and ordered a beer. The strong German kind and left the lounge beer in hand. Let those two go at it for a bit while she cooled down. Her dagger was still in it's hiding spot so far she hadn't needed it but Xav had come awfully close. She ran a hand through her loosely curled hair and stepped out onto the Starlight Deck.

Xavier sighed, it was most definitely a sigh of relief. She didn't completely hate him at least so their strange little relationship was still quite salvagable. Despite the shit he had gotten himself into there was a small smile on his face, a smile of relief. She apparently liked him enough not to let this little incident end their friendship and apparent relationship.
"Alright, I'll apolgize. God I feel like such an ass," he said as Lex ordered a strong beer and then stormed out of the lounge. Man he was in deep. Though knowing her the emotions would switch rather quickly. She was pretty good at that, switching emotions on the fly.
He turned around and saw Darts right there, apparently he had said something but Xavier hadn't heard him. At least he didn't have to go looking for him, "Look...Darts wasn't it? I'm sorry....I was just talking to Lex and I didn't realize how loud I was talking," he said with a sheepish grin, "You weren't supposed to actually hear that....thanks for getting her home though I really do appreciate that," he said and held out his hand, "Xavier Mcallister," he said with a grin, "We all make dumb mistakes, mind letting this one slide?" he asked with a hopeful grin.

Darts looked at this Xavier with a stern glare as cold as ice. This guy was a complete idiot if he expected Darts to believe his little tale about him being to loud by accident. It sure didn’t sound like an accident. It was a stupid tale and so Darts couldn’t tell if Xavier was being sincere or not. But eventually his glare softened. He closed his eyes and sighed. He then clasped his hand into Xavier’s and shook it.
“Darts Anderson.” That was all he said until Dusk flew by and landed on Darts arm.
“Perfect timing. Introduce yourself you crow.” Dusk then spoke in Xavs mind.
“Ugh. Dusk is my name and I aint no crow. I’m a hawk and dam good looking one.”
With that Darts turned around and waved at Xav as Darts walked away onto the starlight deck. When Lex was leaving, Darts didn’t pay much attention to which way she went. So he wasn’t actually on the deck to see her. But he did in fact see her by the rail and walked up. He leaned against the rail, His back from the sea, his hair blowing in the wind. That bothered him at times. Darts did feel bad for some reason.
“Hey...I am sorry if this ruined your night. I...didn’t mean to do that. I even stopped myself from getting in an argument with Xav just so you wouldn’t get anymore pissed. But you probably don’t care...I don’t know...”

Post by Ziare on Sept 24, 2006 22:08:19 GMT -5
Ziare entered the small red lounge outside of the dance floor gracefully. Her dress had been picked out and bought just for this occasion as soon as she had been informed about it. She didn't know if Jyo was coming here tonight or not. They hadn't talked about it and she hadn't seen him in some days now so she hadn't been able to ask. But she was here even if he wasn't which meant she would stick out like a sore thumb. But you can't ask a girl from the country to miss prom. That just wasn't going to be allowed in her mind and so even if she danced with someone she didn't know, or worse case senario didn't dance at all at least she could say that she went. She went over to the bar and ordered a Strawberry Dacquiri. They slid it over to her in only a few seconds in one of those huge fluted glasses and she thanked the man. A seat was open next to a rather bored looking individual. He was tugging on his collar and immediatly she smiled knowing the reason why. Moving over she sat her drink on the table between his chair and an empty one. She knelt down in front of him her long hair was curled and ribbons hung down curled too that matched the silver threads in her dress. "You're tie is much too tight. Allow me." she said with a gentle smile as she reached up and loosened it for him just a bit. She pulled it out and unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. "There, that looks a bit more comfortable. I hope you don't mind." She smiled and moved sitting in the chair just a table away from him. She pulled her long hair over her far shoulder so that she wouldn't sit on it or the ribbons. She didn't say anything else. As the man next to her was probably waiting on his date and so she just sipped her alcohol wondering how much it would take to get tipsy so she could retire for the evening.

Lucian looked up a little stunned but a faint grin on his lips as a girl approached and fixed his tie. He had a feeling he had figured he had done it wrong. He was not used to getting all dressed up like this for anything. Maybe his night would not be totally ruined however as this girl did not seem to have a date either. He finished his beer, the alcohol gave him a bit more confidence than he usually had. He stood up and moved across the room and sat down next to her.
"Thank you miss, for fixing my tie," he said with a grateful grin, "Forgive my forwardness but are you here alone as well?" he asked with faintly hopeful look on his face. If things worked out the way he was hoping Lucian might actually get some fun out of this dance. Even without a date just even one dance would probably satisfy him.

Formal occasions were the best way to suddenly mingle in a new area and Thalomin was going to use that fact in his reasoning for attending this prom. He didn’t want to mingle because he had this overall desire for friends he wanted to mingle so people would not think him as an oddball loner. After all the loners were the ones that attracted the most attention and attention was something that he didn’t truly want to deal with. Thalomin looked stupendous this very evening wearing elegant white slacks of a wintery white with elegant black trim at the feet. Polished black boots were worn with silver buckles that shimmered in the night light. He wore a long-sleeved jacket that was buttoned all the way at the top finding no need for ties. The jacket like the slacks were wintery white with elegant black trim to make him more regal looking. A mantle was on his shoulders that flowed down to his feet and almost surrounded his body completely. His normally free-falling hair was held back with a silver scalp lock tonight.
I know she went here…
Thalomin had also come because a certain Ziare was attending this event and if this Jyo individual was not being as a proper man should be to her then he was going to ensure that she was taken care of. After all a ball was a rare and extravagant event that should not be missed just because someone was being a spoilsport. He spotted her at a bar ordering a drink and straightening someone’s tie he giving an almost small smile at that little gesture. He approached her seat from behind and placed a gloved hand on her shoulder.
“You shouldn’t be without someone tonight Ziare, allow me to have the honor if you wouldn’t mind,” he said in a low whisper in her ear. She looked stupendous tonight her black and white the reversal of his there outfits going together nicely. “After all if you spent the time and money to look so wonderful tonight allow me to make it feel even more justified then just simply attending the event.”

Ziare looked up as the man whose tie she had loosened came over to her. She sat her drink down on the table a napkin protecting it from any sort of rings. She looked at the individual. He was rather good looking she smiled at him as he told her to forgive him for being forward. Asking if she had a date she smiled again.
"I really don't know to tell you the truth. I was going..." she was broken in mid sentence by a man's hand on her shoulder.
A gloved hand no less. That did not belong to Jyo as he didn't wear gloves. She looked up to see Thalo above her and a smile flitted across her face as he leaned in and whispered in her ear. She had not expected to have any requests for dances or requests for company from anyone and here she had two men next to her already. It was going to be a good night so far. She chuckled.
"I do not wish to spend the night alone. Would either of you care to dance? I know a little but not much I'm afraid. But I would be honored." she said with a smile looking at the both of them. My my this was going to turn into an interesting night.

Lucian grinned faintly as he realized she did not have a date. This could turn into a very good night for Lucian. He scowled inwardly however as another individual arrived and moved towards the girl. Apparently the two of them knew each other previously. Though from her expression of surprise not exactly all that well he assumed.
"I would be more than honored to dance with you," he said with a soft grin, "I myself am not much of an accomplished dancer but I'm sure the combination of our inexperiences would result in at least some moderate experience," he said with a chuckle at the rather lame attempt at a joke. He stood up offering her his hand with a faint smile, "I am Lucian Dragomir...it's a pleasure to meet you miss," he said as he started to help her up.
Lucian grinned inwardly. It seemed tonight would not be as much of a waste as he anticipated. He had indeed met a girl who was dateless. Though apparently he would have some competition for her attention. He did not mind though he enjoyed competition.
