Just a quick poll

Well I'm still deciding (Since I already have two boards) on whether I should make a .Hack RPB. I loved that show and the games were alright, but I think it would be an interesting idea for a RPB.

I'd just like to know what some of you guys would think about the idea. And I wouldn't mind some help if you're interested. Please let me know what you think about it... Thank you.

Well it depends. Is it based on the storyline? Or are you doing an RPB based off THE WORLD?

Like Jason said it would probably depend on whether you were doing it based strictly on the .hack storyline or just the concept of The World, but either way I'd probably at least check it out

Hard to decide. For one, I am a .hack whore. On the other, I am not sure if I would want to be on a board based off of it.

I also agree witht he fact of it either being based off most of the story or just of "The World" itself. It all depends on whgat the board is really based on.

Well I see it as a mix of both ideas... it will take place at a time quite past the anime we've all watched, and the world will have new classes and all that stuff. But then we basically make up the story from then...

Well whoever asked what it is... .Hack//sign was probably one of the most popular animes aroudn a little while back. They came out with a series of four games that were episodes one of four (not from the anime), and now they're starting a new series of games. Well anyway the world of .hack is based in a vitual RPG that has become popular all around earth called 'The World' simply. There is basically an infinite number of areas that are accessable by combining three different words of sayings. In my RPB it will be based on the fact that the world has become safe once again but there are a couple of players (i.e. Me and someone else so far lol) that are planning on bringing back the chaos that was once inside of the world. My character is a PK (Player Killer) that is an advanced rouge (multi-weapon user). There will be a wide variety of classed that you can choose from including the well-known heavy blade, blade master, wave master, cleric, heavy spear, heavy axe, and all weapons that come in heavy come in light as well. So that is basically a brief desciption of what will be happening to my knowledge so far. Any more questions I'll be free to answer so just ask.

So what? Are you adding the Adept Rogue(A class in The World R:2) in the old World? Or are you going to use the new classes, Blade Brandier(Blademaster), Edge Punisher(Heavy Blade), Twin Blade, Flick Reaper(Heavy Axemen), Lord Partizan(Long Arms), Tribal Grappler(Melee Fighters), Macabre Dancer(Fan like weapons), Harvest Cleric, Shadow Warlock(Magic attacks), and Steam Gunner(A rifle with a blade)?

Yeah basically what's going on is what you mentioned Wolf, but it will be in version 2 or even after that... not sure an I think I'll make up some of my own classes as well as take advise on others... make it sweet baby!

Well, I used to have a .hack RPB that only had twenty members but was VERY active, but I lost the support of my only staff, got lazy, and had a system that was too dependant on the staff for it to do well. However, your idea sounds quite interesting, and I'd definitely give it a look.

Sounds pretty cool; the only thing I can imagine being an issue is the small number of predefined classes. It seems like there might not be enough room for character diversity.
