Here's some fun for you guys to ponder over...
If you could create some kick ass spell, what would it be?
Now, don't be boring and let it be something like "Destroy the Earth" or, heaven horbid "God Mod Ritual"..
But seriously, give your ideas on what a powerful spell should do/look like...

Just for fun I would make one that Tars and feathers someone.
For a combat spell I'd have something like Transmute metal to mud. Imagine. Some guy swings his sword at you and you cast the spell and the worst you get is a bit of mud on you. Then you are free to blast them into oblivion.

I know a lot of those but my character isn't strong enough for them yet.
A hint of what will come later to my char:
Mind blast: allows "Nikias" to search in his enemys mind and dig up their nightmares and giving them pain in a way that is hard to block for a brute(becouse the only defence is a VERY strong mind to se through the illusion).
I took the ideas from naruto. From one of my favor chars Itachi.

Silva Myndi.
The epitome of Sylphist teachings, Silva Myndi (Lit. "Sylph state" or "Sylph form") is a magical state which can be entered as a last resort when the Sylphist is in great danger. It allows the Sylphist to temporarily alter the molecular composition of their own body structure to match that of the air around them, dissolving into the wind while still maintaining full consciousness and awareness of their surroundings. While in this state, the Sylphist is not only granted the power to attack the opponent by any means and from any angle they so choose, but also becomes impossible for the opponent to detect or damage in any way. In return, however, the technique exerts a massive drain on the Sylphist’s mana, and can’t be sustained for more than a couple of minutes at maximum. Also, if Silva Myndi is outlasted, it will leave the Sylphist utterly exhausted and defenseless, ensuring a swift victory for the opponent. It is an all or nothing technique.
Mana cost: 3 per post (Must be used while Valdi is activated. Mana cost replaces that of the Valdi, while its effects are maintained.)

Uhm... I'm not sure about that last spell. lights a match? is that a spell?
Anyway if you want a spell that is "strong" why don't make anything unusual. If you got a fireball spell thats just shots a flaming boulder, add some special into it maybe make the fireball targeting or maybe make it shot out smaller fireballs from itself. Or something like that...
You can even try elemental fusion spells (like the name somehow) that is combined by more than one element. Not fire and ice because they will take out each other. But water and electricity or air and fire these are good combinations.
as you noticed I didn't actually find out a spell but just giving you inspiration.

A: he was being spastic B: i already use that sort of thing, dense air combined with fire for an explosion. theres one new character that uses "Atomancy" which runs on that explosion idea. i was actually thinking about a character that uses opposing elemental forces to make extreme ammounts of damage. fire and ice used in a way so as to not oppose each other but burn and freeze at the same time. lightning and water to increase the power of the lightning while using blunt force of the water. things like that ya know? as for damn strong spells, just look at the headmasters spells.

A: I knew that. just trying too make fun off it.
B: Isn't elemental magic a kind of alchemy? If it is I want to know how to make something freeze and burn at the same time.
C: If I would fuse spells I rather make spells of (EX.) maybe Fire and Mind or/and maybe to fuse dark magic as well.

dont think it would be (about the alchemy)
and i mean like elemental ice that restricts movement but burns the skin (not dry ice...think Zelda with the red ice and blue fire)
or having a dual attack where fire hits one side of the opponent and ice hits the other and if it misses it just makes a mist.

Who knows....
Regardless, for me:
Death of 1000 Dreams - The mage would focus his energy to create 1000 small strings of energy which can go on for miles and can cut even a tank in two. The strings are all connected to the mage which cast the spell, and can be moved by a mere though.
Curse of the White Lotus - By focusing energy, the mage can cause white energy bands to now form on an enemy to basically suck the energy from the mage onto the casting mage, as well as cause the target to not be able to move, being bound by thousands of strings. These strings, when seen at a distance, form a lotus.
Strike of The Utterless Whisper - The mage first of all requires strings for this technique. By causing the strings to magically vibrate, the strings would send out a magic note. This note will not only paralyze the target but to it's deafening magical sound, but also make them unable to think coherently until the next sunrise, send out a force equal to a truck and make them unable to speak until the next sunset.

ok thats just to much. Its make no sense with blue fire and red ice and that kind of stuff. How can a person make that kind of materia? It makes perfect sense in terms of the fire at least. Fire in real life can be blue. Look at the base oa fire from a lighter and such things. It's blue. So that would be a low level burn spell. As for red ice. Mabey not really as feesble. But say a liquid with harmful proerties is red and frozen then launched at someone. If it is already melting on contact than it could do damage. hence red ice. Sure the red ice thing takes a stretch of the imagination. But the entire idea of spellcasting does as well. See being creative you can make these things work on the board. As for mixing fire and ice elementals. Perhapes a spell that blasts a mist of ice at sub-zero temperatures and is then followed by a similar blast of fire being the polar opposite in a single spell. This would actually be devastating due to the fact that once something is frozen which makes things contract. that when it heats up which makes things expand. It could blow them up if the opposing temeratures are extreme enough. Hmmm Another bad ass spell right there

Well, blue in most homemade fires is caused by burning fumes. However, the hottest fires (I.E. fire's from some suns) has been known be blue, but this is incredibly hot crap! Anyways...

Feedback- The casting mage, a practicioner of psychism in this case, builds up a large amount of negative mental energy and then unleashes it on the target essentially causing the target to go into shock through the sheer force of the negative psychic energy that is forced into their mind.
Nova- The casting mage generates a fireball of the heat equivalent of a blue supergiant star. This spell is bascially an extreme version of a normal fireball spell except in this case the fireball has a temperature of around 20,000 to 50,000 degrees Celsius.

So that would be a low level burn spell. actually...blue fire is extremely hot... lowest to highest: red, orange, yellow, blue-white, white. Theres green and purple flames but that has to do with chemicals, not tempurature.
