Chris Benoit
1967-2007
As of today, June 25, 2007, Christopher Michael Benoit, aka The Rabid Wolverine, legend of World Wrestling Entertainment, was found dead in his home. He, his wife, and his son were all found dead, and authorities announced that the cause of death was murder-suicide.
Chris Benoit began his American wrestling career in ECW, or Extreme Championship Wrestling, under the guise of The Canadian Crippler. After finding no future there, we went to World Championship Wrestling, and eventually found a place to call home in the WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment.
Quickly rising in the ranks, Benoit, The Rabid Wolverine, decimated many opponents with his Crippler Crossface, the triple German suplex known as Hat Trick, the sharpshooter, and most famous, the flying headbutt.
Chris was close friends with Eddie Guerrero, a fellow wrestling athlete who died a number of months back. Now, the two are reunited.
