The Designer indicated that he was planning on it someday...he wants to pick up the storyline somewhere like 2-3 years in the future, using some more ideas for the angel storyline.

I had this alternative idea that we could skip ahead maybe 20 or 30 years, and the earth could be under angel control. AA would be underground resistance and so would the other organizations. Designer didn't seem keen on it though so I doubt we'll do that. Oldbie characters would become a wide pool of quest characters and elites/staff; seemed like a cool idea to me.

I suppose if people were really itching for some AA-style action, I'd be willing to help put something together or even spearhead such a project, but we'd want some help and some commited interest to make it worth it.

Committed interest? Like someone who checks once a week, or more sometimes out of boredom, to see if it's revived?

Hmm...well what I had in mind was fresh new board with newly crafted backstories and histories. One that picks up the AA story after a time gap, so it's fresh and appealing for new and old members.

I think there are too many ghosts here on this board for us to continue using this exact site. New members here can't really feel drawn to it having so many old threads hanging above their heads, and old members are bogged down with the place's stagnation. Stagnant is a very fitting word, I believe.

With the richness of this board to draw upon, one could create seriously rich and epic backstories and an equally rich setting for RP on a new board. When this board started out it had histories of countries and alliances and wars written out, which is important, but what makes history feel real is the people, their stories. There are so many characters here, each with their impact on Arcane Academy history.

Their stories, what they did here and what we write them as doing during the time gap between boards, would be integral to the new backstory.

So in short, when I say commited interest, I am asking whether people would be interested and enthusiastic about such a board, A.K.A. would it be worthwhile for me to start writing and building it? I definitely am enthusiastic about the idea, but I don't want to plow the whole field just to grow one cornstalk, know what I mean?

I'd probably roleplay there if it was made, I mean, I've been trying to find away to reuse this character some how, I kinda like him. If you or Auroth remake it, I'm in.
