Name: Ezra Emmerich
Ranking: Academy Apprentice
Nationality: Primarily German and English
Height: 5'-3"
Weight: 121 Lbs
Age: 17
Birthdate: June 13th
Hair Color: Dirt Blonde
Eye Color: Bluish Grey
Appearance:
Physically, there isn't much more than the required mass of the body when it comes to Ezra. Skin and bones doesn't even seem quite harsh enough to describe his frail-looking body. But, in contrast to his figure, he is surprisingly fit. He isn't going to win any marathons or break any world records, but he normally wouldn't be confined to a wheelchair or anything of the sort. However, he is missing a certain part of his body that most people would consider necessary. His left leg has been replaced with a prosthetic, because of an event in his past.
A lot of people would take one look at him and say something to the extent of, "Worthless weakling". His round face, and practically non-existent cheekbones give his face a soft quality that makes people want to depend less on him. He'll often wear the look of someone who's been defeated in life; distant, lifeless eyes, and a mouth that's always on the constant verge of a frown. But if he does get into one of those moods, he'll get a look that seems mad, but only just enough to make the casual observer believe he is dominated by the feeling of rage. Anyone who looks closer can easily see the same sad, distant look. It's just concealed by narrowed eyes.
As for clothing, he keeps a simple style that also serves to hide everything about himself he doesn't like. Parts like his leg. Mostly, he'll wear a hooded sweatshirt in some dull, though not necessarily dark, color. And his pants are nothing more than cargo-style pants in black or dark olive green. He can keep all his tools with him in his pockets and in the sweatshirt. Other items of note are his glasses, the flapdoozy bag he keeps, and the box strapped to his wrist.
On most of the items he carries or makes, Ezra sticks his personal logo. It's a rusted seven-toothed gear with one of the teeth broken off. Normally, it can be seen on the center of the front of his hoodies, sown onto the center of his flapdoozy bag, and always somewhere on his constructs.
Personality:
Ezra is really reserved, not even trying to be socially active. People tend to hold him in low regard, or even despise him, and so he doesn't make an effort to connect with them. Even though he seems cold and distant, it is really more of a melancholy disposition and can even be describe as contagious. And because people don't sit well with him in general, he is actually easily put off and frustrated by others. On the up side, he is incredibly studious, making sure that he gets every lesson down to the last word.
History:
Ezra has already racked up quite a bit of life worth mentioning as his personal history. But before he was eight, there was nothing but the "dull and meaningless" existence that most people would use to describe most lives. He went to school, his teachers noted his ability to accelerate at an abnormal rate, at least mentally. Socially, he worked just as well as any normal child, but was often teased because of his skills. Slowly, he retreated to the library rather than recess. All of his teachers tried to get him to become more socially active, and he even tried. But he was always teased, no matter how many teachers were around.
One of the numerous books he read in his youth contained some odd information about making what he thought were robots. His advanced mind managed to learn the secrets contained within and performed the spells with about six month's worth of practice and experimentation. He animated a stuffed doll he had kept with him since he was a child. It came to life, even exhibiting a personality, because of the immense imagination and accidental over-use of power that only a child could exhibit.
Affectionately named Zeke, Ezra had made himself a friend who couldn't betray him. Unlike the children, it wouldn't tease him, or hurt him. It would be his best friend and always stick by his side. It's only when he's alone with Zeke that Ezra ever gets the light of life back in his eyes. it's because Zeke reminds him of his childhood before he was teased and hated for his mind. And even today, he'll carry it around, or rather have it walk with him.
The activity was picked up by the Arcane Academy, and investigators were immediately sent out. Fearing a possible fugitive mage, they struck first and asked questions later. The mages made a split decision, and attempted a raid on the house to make sure that the magic user in question wasn't able to effectively retaliate. During the raid, an explosion of energy was made in the center of Ezra's room. When they stormed in, they found Ezra badly injured and tightly holding onto Zeke, as if he had shielded it with his own body. The explosion had ripped his left leg beyond even immediate magical repair. If there had been some semblance of his leg left, they might have been able to restore it, but only a high-level healing specialist would have been able to restore it's function.
Each of the officers in that particular investigation were reprimanded for their actions, but no word of it ever got out to the magically unaware world. Ezra's parents were compensated for damages to their child and their home, but he was taken from them and moved to the Academy. his parents, on the other hand, just had their memories re-written. And to top it off, they never even knew he existed after that. It was just too cruel for Ezra to deal with, so he slunk back to Zeke for comfort, the only one that didn't forget him. They hadn't even bothered to think that maybe Ezra's memory should have been wiped too, and re-written so that he wouldn't miss any parents. All they did was drop him off at the Academy and expected him to learn.
After dissappearing on a school trip, he's returned but in an unknown condition...
Style: Construct Magic
Construct magic is the ability to build, repair, and animate normally inanimate objects. Most often called "Constructs" they also go by the names of "Golems" and "Mage Guardians". This form of magic is able to take care of these constructs, and fully operate them. As a sub-category of both Enchantment and Dousing, Construct Magic is one of the most mathematically and scientifically intensive forms of magic. Also, as much as it is a science, it is also an art form, as the Constructor usually makes the body of the animated object.
Strengths: Thanks to his constructs, when he fights, he can act as a team rather than a single person, and that allows him to implement numerous battle strategies. Obviously, this gives him an almost unfair edge when it comes to direct physical combat.
Weaknesses: Aside from dodging attacks, in combat, Ezra is next to useless. In fact, he has no clue of how to fight using his own body. In combat, he has to act as a healer and a tactical director for his constructs. And if he isolated form his constructs, he is vulnerable to attack while he gets his constructs back to play defense.
Spells:
--Repair (Only works on non-living material, including that which was once alive, like wood)
--Animate Object
--Permanency (To make the animation spell work for as long as he can.)
--Seal Mana (Makes "mana batteries" that are used to power constructs.)
--Fabricate (Warps an object around to craft the desired shape)
--Teleport Object to Location (Makes an object [constucts included] instantly move to his position. Requires insignia.)
Weapons/Gear:
--Mage Deck
The mage deck is a sort of wrist computer, that uses magic to project the screen from the small box attached to his wrist. It operates like a touch-screen monitor, allowing him to quickly access any information stored in the physical body of the deck.
Constructs:
Zeke: A lion-like plushie toy that was brought to life by Ezra's first use of magic. It has no combat capability, but acts as Ezra's friend. Zeke has a sort of personality in it that reflects the care and happiness Ezra sought when he made the construct. Unlike most constructs, it doesn't require mana batteries, and seems to have no determinable time limit for it's existence. The effects of the over-abundance of magic and emotion poured into Zeke makes it a point of interest for researches, but Ezra will never let Zeke be examined or anything like that.

Grendel: Ezra's second constuct, made from materials made in his metalurgy classes. Because of the highly resiliant properties of the metals, the constuct is exteremly durable. It has it's weak points like any other suit of armor, but any stike elsewhere is next to useless, and direct magic has practically no effect, aside from electricity spells, which will recharge it's mana battery. Grendel was modeled after the typical Iron Golem model, but modified for a more futuristic appearance, and also to reflect it's state of the art construction methods. This is Ezra's first dive into combat constructs.
Items:
Notes:
Each construct is like a player-controlled NPC, and likely only has physical stats unless made for a specific purpose; Strength, Dexterity, Endurance, and Sensory (Like Wisdom). And the total points I can stick on a construct would be like 3/4 my total stat points (rounded down). So a little combat golem could have Str 10, Dex 15, End 15, Int 0 Sen 8, Enr 0.
But I also have a "main" construct that is my primary go-to construct. It has 1.5 times my stat points, and still have the six stats. Example; Str 16, Dex 16, End 19, Int 16, Sen 10, Enr 16. Zeke, of course, is my main.
Constructs don't have their own intelligence, merely orders passed on from the maker. And they don't have energy unless equipped with mana weapons. No minimum on str, dex, int, or enr, becasue they are not needed for golem operation. ((0 Str is no attack, 0 Dex is no mobility, 0 Int is user-controlled, and 0 Enr means no mana weapons.))
In combat, I can only control Zeke + My rank number of constructs. ((Apprentice = 2 constructs and so forth))
