Name: Kheldar
Occupation: Apprentice Magitech Knight
Nationality: Unknown
Height: 5 foot 4 inches
Weight: 116 pounds
Age: 15
Hair Color: Black (Dyed); Blonde (Natural)
Eye Color: Blue (Contacts); Brown (Natural)
Appearance: Kheldar is a slim individual in fact one could even say that he is in some ways looks out of shape. He does not appear muscular and the clothes he wears hang loosely about him. The clothes of course are choosen because Kheldar prefers to have loose and comfortable clothing. His eyes gaze far off as he always seems to be looking at something else rather then what is in front of him. In fact in some ways he appears to be a total air-headed twit who just stares at the clouds. His gaze just holds mysteries to it that have not yet been delved into. Kheldar is a tad clumsy and has been known to trip a few times now and then.
Personality: He always seems to be ignoring everything around him. Just staring at the clouds or something far-off that nobody else can sees. There is an almost 'who cares' aspect to his personality. He doesn't let the opinion of others get to him in fact for the most part he just considers it 'bothersome' or 'troublesome' depending on the persistance. There just seems to be an attitude about him where he seems to take nothing serious. Even in a fight a person could catch him reading a book and seeming to not pay attention. Still he's a realist and understands things in an often blunt and no-nonsense manner. Don't let that full you though, Kheldar is a natural genius with a perception level that is just abnormal period.
History: February 21st. Kheldar was birthed to a pair of government scientists who were deeply in love with each other. His true name has long since been forgotten as his parents research funding was cut off without warning. They sought a way to strike back at the people who cut off their funding. In the end they discovered a forbidden way to manage that. Coming across old texts in an archeological dig they were able to translate the text enough to learn that magic did in fact exist. In order to give an originally non-magical person magic however, a sacrafice had to be made in a forbidden necromatic ritual. Desperate to strike back at those that had mocked them and cut off research funds they performed the ritual.
They killed off someone who had been close to Kheldar. He doesn't remember who it was the memory so horrible that it's been locked away along with his true name. When the ritual was finished Kheldar eventually awoke and remembered nearly nothing. Whether it was successful or not wasn't proven until a year later when Kheldar killed in self-defense. His parents had carefully been avoiding the use of his name as they studied him making sure that ritual had truly worked, their murdering of another justified. It did work and the results were frightening.
A rabid bear had attacked Kheldar when he was in the woods that were around his family's house. But, rather then die when his parents came out they came across something that was almost frightening. The bear was criped and charred black the eerie hellish flames consumed the creature until it was nothing more then ash. Kheldar was sitting against the tree staring at his palm. Almost wondering what the hell had happened. However, they were not alone in this discovery.
A government research team that had been following the bear testing the bioweapon virus had found their creation killed by the boy. By hellish flames that had emitted from the boy's palm. Remarkable truly remarkable. They had to have this kid. The parents were taken into custody and finally they had what they wanted. Once again they could research and in fact were encouraged to share their results. The government wanted to turn Kheldar into something more. A true weapon.
Using information translated from the ancient texts they trained Kheldar in how to fight and knew that something would have to be made for him. The boy was brilliant but, he would need something to defend his weak body. The armor was designed by cutting edge, robotics experts from Japan. It was designed to give Kheldar the ability to defend himself. Use his brilliance. So that he could unleash his magic. They would have succeeded but, the Academy had intervened.
Striking through the facility upon learning what was being done they cut through the area quickly and efficiently. However, coming across the boy they didn't hurt him they instead took him away with the armor that had been designed for him. At the City of Babylos the armor was modified to help coordinate with the child's abilities. For the past five years Kheldar has lived in the City of Babylos and has recently applied to the Arcane Academy to study more. To understand the innate gifts. Still without parents to guide him he has taken on some rather, interesting habits, to say the least.
Style: Magitech Knight
Originally known as Archanamachs these warriors were created through the sacrafice of life to imbue them with magic. Originally the Cult of the Seul used these warriors to cut down their enemies as the Arcahanamachs had the unique ability known as Runic. The ability to drain magic. A magic attack could be launched directly against them and they could absorb it.
Regardless the translation was flawed and most of the Archanamach techniques have been lost to the sands of time. Through Academy training and aide, Kheldar was trained to be the first Magitech Knight. A blending of magic and technology to balance for his own weaknesses. Trained in a special martial art to make up for his physical weakness Kheldar was able to apply his perception to help aide his ability to counter and avoid an attack. This martial art is known as Ru Chui Kung Fu and it was originally developed by a small female monk who wished to teach her studnets how to defend.
Strengths: Kheldar's obvious strength is his ability to percieve and his incredible intelligence in a fight. Using technology to make up for his physical and magical weakness he has learned to apply himself in a strategic sense. Fight not to win the initiative but, to win the battle. The ability to absorb magic through his Runic ability also gives him more chances to use magic. As a note Ru Chui is an extremely defensive hand-to-hand martial arts making it hard to hurt Kheldar.
Weaknesses: Runic while a boon is a double-edged sword. In order to be healed Kheldar HAS to have full energy or else he will simply absorb the healing energy before his wounds are healed. His energy can not be increased except by a forbidden necromatic technique that nobody would perform so the chances of his energy ever increasing is slim (Note an item could increase his energy). Keep in mind that since Kheldar's abilities are natural he has yet to learn any magic yet so he will have trouble learning spells.
Kheldar's Spell List:
[/li][li]Runic - This is more of an ability rather then a spell but, it is the basis of a Magitech Knight. Magitech Knights aren't really affected by the use of all their energy. After all when you run out you can simply absorb more. To use runic, Kheldar must have less then full energy and take a magic attack. However, what he can't absorb he takes the burnt of. So if Kheldar were to absorb an attack with 7 Energy when he's at 0 he would absorb 5 of it but, the remaining energy of the attack would still hurt him.
[/li][li]Hellfire Blast - This the result of the forbidden ritual and the technique gained from it with Runic. When under great stress, fear, or in physical pain this attack can be released. A powerful blast of flaming hellfire that uses up all of Kheldar's energy. The target must within twenty meters in order to be hit by it. But, to put it lightly this attack hurts. ALOT. Should a target be killed by this the flames will consume the corpse and leave nothing behind.
