Both had their doctorates and were busy most of the time but, they always made sure that their son was looked after. Not by another but, they each played a significant role in his life rather then parents who take a back seat in a child’s development. Alastin had two other siblings. Both of them were twins being a couple years older then him so his childhood was not lonely at all. He also had numerous friends being a very friendly kid that was popular in his hometown thanks to having two siblings to look after him as well. Though Alastin learned at a young age that not everyone was going to be kind as much as he hoped otherwise. Bullies took advantage of his kindness and Alastin was forced to rely on his older siblings for helping him out at first.
This hurt Alastin slightly as he didn’t want to seem dependent on others so he learned to make himself not so vulnerable. He didn’t learn this by physically developing himself he instead learned this from his mother who was specialized in behavior. He learned to take small certain steps that wouldn’t single him out to bullies. He was fascinated by this in a way. That, simple changes to behavior could change whether or not someone singled you out and bullied you. It was odd that simple things such as words and phrases had so much of an effect on a person’s behavior. This was a start for Alastin has his father had by then taught him basic first-aide like his older siblings. Alastin began to delve into psychology books at an early age extremely curious on behaviors and how the mind works. He didn’t learn this to help himself he wanted to learn this so he could try to help others. Still naïve and still misunderstanding the whole point to this all. Alastin’s school grades were rather high in fact very high.
Because he had been delving into complicated books at an early age Alastin already has post-college level reading abilities by the time he entered middle school. His overall abilities grew because of that with Alastin’s heavy habit in reading things he was able to grasp things much faster then some of his fellows. This didn’t make him arrogant and with a few kind words he didn’t become envied because he helped out people when they asked him. Where people would normally be abused by this Alastin already having a handhold on psychology carefully helped people but, didn’t let them take advantage of him. This was because he didn’t want to feel pressured to do things for others. It wasn’t because he didn’t mind helping on the contrary he was glad that he was able to help his fellows. At the same time however, he just didn’t want to fall prey to bullying like he did at a younger age. Alastin was skipped up to eighth grade by the time he was half-way through sixth grade because he was well ahead of his class in terms of educational abilities so he wouldn't just be used as an answer reference.
High School was quiet for Alastin not because he was one of those I’m just shy kids but, because the town only had one High School and it wasn’t very big since the town wasn’t that large. His years were quiet he having the usual interests though changed because he wasn’t as driven by hormones as his fellows were. It was during his senior year when he was sixteen however, that something else happened. He began to hear things. Hear whispers. He was able to hear people’s pains and what was bothering them when they weren’t even speaking at all. He freaked quietly as more unusual things began to develop. By the time he had finished his senior year he had begun experimenting with what he can and can not do. He learned that applying what he knew already thanks to medical and psychological texts that he has read. Yet he proved to have another ability that would greatly affect him. The ability to summon heavenly beings. This freaked out Alastin when he accidentally summoned his first summon Misae who was a dragon.
Still his experimentation didn’t go unnoticed in fact by the time he summoned his second summon the Academy had given him an invitation to join Arcane Academy. Interested in a school of magic and going under the disguise of an invitation to study abroad as a college Alastin joined the Arcane Academy as a holy summoner. How far he will go in this new and undiscovered world remains to be seen.

Alastin’s primary lotus is a holy magic user. Sure he has elements that are often associated with the heavens in his abilities but, holy summoning is his primary focus. Alastin’s natural gifts allow him to be an excellent healer since he already learned how to heal and take care of people long before he learned magic. His summons, are heavy on defense though Misae is an exception to the clause being a full-blown dragon. Alastin’s focus on holy magic has given him wings that he can call on or dismiss at anytime. Holy Summoning is the reverse of Dark Summoning in that it calls from the heavens rather then from hell. This often makes the two styles yin and yang so to speak and bitter rivals. In addition Alastin has the ability to sense when someone is in pain and if he focuses can get a fuzzy idea on what’s hurting the person who caught his attention.
Strengths: Alastin has a hefty amount of energy to rely on allowing him to use his low-cost spells to a distinct advantage making him quite the ally in a long run fight. His natural ability to fly and his keen senses make him an excellent scout in a pinch when people are needed. It should be noted that Alastin excels in support roles thanks to his hefty amount of defensive and healing magic.
Weaknesses: Being focused on holy magic and not from a combative background; Alastin’s offensive abilities are lack-luster at best. Alastin often relies on summons when it boils down to a physical fight. If forced into close-combat he’ll rely on defensive spells or his wings to pull him away. As an additional note Alastin does not have many offensive spells so he relies on defensive magic to out-endure his opponent in combat.

This spell is primarily offensive but, a creative user can use it defensively. Alastin’s high control allows him to shape the flames as he wants. More importantly the white flames have one key ability. The powerful emotion and comforting warmth can be used to help someone in mental agony.

It creates a shimmering barrier that makes it look like what’s being defended is covered in sparkling starlight. The spell takes attacks and as more damage is dealt to it the sparkling starlight lessens until it’s no more. More energy can be poured into it to make it larger or effect more then just one thing. To activate the spell Alastin speaks ‘la difesa delle stelle’ in Italian which translates as ‘defense of the stars’.

The spell works by using minimal energy to redirect an attack away from the people the spell is defending. Thus the attack will deal less damage if it hits since it’s not a direct hit. To activate the spell Alastin speaks ‘Par le brouillard que je serai protégé’ in French which translates as ‘through fog I will be protected’. The fog cloud has a fifty-meter radius and will fade over time.

Any allies (including himself) within hearing range (fifty meters) of Alastin will be healed for a small amount of damage. To activate the spell Alastin speaks ‘ved min stemme føler seg liv’ in Norwegian which translates as ‘by my voice feel life’.

His teleportation is however, limited as he must speak one more word to specify where he is going. Should he say the latin word 'Veni' he will teleport anywhere within fifty meters of his location. Should he say the latin word 'Vedi' he will teleport straight to his room regardless of the distance because of the familiar place. Should he speak the latin word 'Veci' he will teleport to the side of any one person he designates with this spell AHEAD of time. For each use of Veci he has to use a small amount of energy to mark the WILLING target. Each use of the spell uses a small amount of energy regardless.

[/li][li]Touch of the Crane – By creating the zodiac symbol of the crane with his hand Alastin focuses powerful healing energy causing his hands to take a shimmering white glow. When he touches someone the energy is expelled instantly healing a moderate amount of damage. The spell being that it requires touch only drains a small amount of energy.
[/li][li]Negative Bane - By focusing holy energy to his hands and focusing on the symbol of the dragon in his mind Alastin can trigger a powerful effect. He can remove curse and poison effects from up to one target at a time. Obviously the more effects removed the more energy being used starting with a small amount of energy for up to two effects. Alastin can not affect any curse or poison spells cast by a higher-lever caster.

[/li][li]Winter’s Touch – Speaking the words ‘durch eis werde aufgehalten’ in German which translates as ‘by ice be stopped’, Alastin can freeze a target for roughly a minute though it can be lessened. During the freezing the enemy takes cold damage all over from the extreme cold that was formed to create the ice. While this spell, takes a small amount of energy on normal-sized targets it takes much more as the target increases in size. The attack can be dodged when the ice is forming though it is still tricky to evade since ice is coming from multiple directions.
[/li][li]Diamond Dust - Speaking the words 'durch eis werde besiegt' in German which translates as 'by ice be defeated', Alastin concentrates a moderate amount of energy to his palm where it radiates in a pale blue light. For two seconds he focuses the energy draws his hand back and then thrusts forward. The result is a cone effect of up to fifty meters of powerful ice and winds. The result is ANYTHING caught in the blast unless immune to ice effects will be frozen as ice quickly forms around the person. They take cold damage and are frozen in place for but, a few seconds. Damage being the extreme cold surrounding them during the time where the enemy is held in place. Alastin then snaps his fingers shattering the ice causing ice shards to rip through his opponents caught in the spell.

Misae being a dragon has not only the natural physical abilities but, also has an ice breath weapon and an affiliation with air and ice elements. When not summoned she is able speak to him mentally keeping him company and giving him someone to confide in (See below for further details).
[/li][li]Calling of Light – Alastin is able to summon Lantern Archons which are balls of sentient light that protect and guide people during troubled times. The Lantern Archons are the first of several celestial beings that Alastin will be able to summon down the road. It is common for Alastin to summon multiple Lantern Archons at once to help in a ranged fight (See below for further details).

Alastin named this loyal and incredibly cunning hound not only for his abilities to comfort the healer but, also his tracking abilities. It is rumored the the hound has similar ties to the Greek Mythological hound but, this is uncomfirmed. Interesting enough Laelaps is able to use heaven fire just like his summoner (See below for further details).

[/li][li]Medical Satchel – Worn over a shoulder Alastin carries what appears to be a messenger bag. Inside this bag are things commonly found in a field medical kit as well as herbs that are used for medical purposes in helping people feel better. Alastin commonly carries this nearly everywhere and the comfortable strap keeps it against his side nearly unnoticeable. In addition there are spare pouches and pockets on it to allow Alastin to gather things such as herbs more easily and store them. There are some basic herb gathering tools and gloves as well.
[/li][li]Rising Star – Alastin’s only weapon that was gifted to him by his father who used it during shooting competitions. Rising Star is a beautifully crafted pistol having laminated-steel craftsmanship. In addition there is chrome plating on the weapon to give it a more elegant look. The Cross is engraved on both sides of the grip in white gold and elegant roses were engraved on either side of the barrel. The gun is a .27 caliber shot weapon that takes fifteen shot clips. The pistol is rather dense making it useful for a close-range bludgeoning weapon for pistol-whipping action.

Should he speak the latin word 'Veci' he will teleport to the side of any one person he designates with this spell AHEAD of time. For each use of Veci he has to use a small amount of energy to mark the WILLING target. Each use of the spell uses a small amount of energy regardless.

[/li][li]Touch of the Crane – By creating the zodiac symbol of the crane with his hand Alastin focuses powerful healing energy causing his hands to take a shimmering white glow. When he touches someone the energy is expelled instantly healing a moderate amount of damage. The spell being that it requires touch only drains a small amount of energy.
[/li][li]Negative Bane - By focusing holy energy to his hands and focusing on the symbol of the dragon in his mind Alastin can trigger a powerful effect. He can remove curse and poison effects from up to one target at a time. Obviously the more effects removed the more energy being used starting with a small amount of energy for up to two effects. Alastin can not affect any curse or poison spells cast by a higher-lever caster.

[/li][li]Winter’s Touch – Speaking the words ‘durch eis werde aufgehalten’ in German which translates as ‘by ice be stopped’, Alastin can freeze a target for roughly a minute though it can be lessened. During the freezing the enemy takes cold damage all over from the extreme cold that was formed to create the ice. While this spell, takes a small amount of energy on normal-sized targets it takes much more as the target increases in size. The attack can be dodged when the ice is forming though it is still tricky to evade since ice is coming from multiple directions.
[/li][li]Diamond Dust - Speaking the words 'durch eis werde besiegt' in German which translates as 'by ice be defeated', Alastin concentrates a moderate amount of energy to his palm where it radiates in a pale blue light. For two seconds he focuses the energy draws his hand back and then thrusts forward. The result is a cone effect of up to fifty meters of powerful ice and winds. The result is ANYTHING caught in the blast unless immune to ice effects will be frozen as ice quickly forms around the person. They take cold damage and are frozen in place for but, a few seconds. Damage being the extreme cold surrounding them during the time where the enemy is held in place. Alastin then snaps his fingers shattering the ice causing ice shards to rip through his opponents caught in the spell.

[/li][li]Calling of Misae – Misae is Alastin’s main summon being a powerful white dragon that guards Alastin with her life. Misae being a dragon has not only the natural physical abilities but, also has an ice breath weapon and an affiliation with air and ice elements. When not summoned she is able speak to him mentally keeping him company and giving him someone to confide in (See below for further details).
[/li][li]Calling of Light – Alastin is able to summon Lantern Archons which are balls of sentient light that protect and guide people during troubled times. The Lantern Archons are the first of several celestial beings that Alastin will be able to summon down the road. It is common for Alastin to summon multiple Lantern Archons at once to help in a ranged fight (See below for further details).
[/li][li]Calling of Laelaps - Laelaps is a beautiful hound of the wind element. Alastin named this loyal and incredibly cunning hound not only for his abilities to comfort the healer but, also his tracking abilities. It is rumored the the hound has similar ties to the Greek Mythological hound but, this is uncomfirmed. Interesting enough Laelaps is able to use heaven fire just like his summoner (See below for further details).

[/li][li]Medical Satchel – Worn over a shoulder Alastin carries what appears to be a messenger bag. Inside this bag are things commonly found in a field medical kit as well as herbs that are used for medical purposes in helping people feel better. Alastin commonly carries this nearly everywhere and the comfortable strap keeps it against his side nearly unnoticeable. In addition there are spare pouches and pockets on it to allow Alastin to gather things such as herbs more easily and store them. There are some basic herb gathering tools and gloves as well.
[/li][li]Rising Star – Alastin’s only weapon that was gifted to him by his father who used it during shooting competitions. Rising Star is a beautifully crafted pistol having laminated-steel craftsmanship. In addition there is chrome plating on the weapon to give it a more elegant look. The Cross is engraved on both sides of the grip in white gold and elegant roses were engraved on either side of the barrel. The gun is a .27 caliber shot weapon that takes fifteen shot clips. The pistol is rather dense making it useful for a close-range bludgeoning weapon for pistol-whipping action.
[/li][li]Ammunition Pouch - This is a simple belt pouch that carries up to fifteen spare clips for Alastin's gun. The pouch keeps the clips nice and neat and is also water-proof. Perfect for carrying spare clips in combat. Alastin keeps silver, rubber, and standard ammunition in this pouch allotting five clips to each type for organization.

Description: Misae is a large white dragon easily the size of a small house and is nimble and graceful. She has beautiful and elegant wings and with her shimmering white scales she appears to have descended from the heavens. Her elements being ice and wind make her fairly useful in keeping Alastin from being hurt. More importantly Misae having a hefty amount of defense often makes herself a physical shield to defend her summoner. Misae has a natural ice breath weapon and has natural dragon abilities. In addition Misae can channel her energy to heal Alastin in a pinch when he needs it most. Misae also has the ability to tap into Alastin's magic since she knows her summoner is a tad naive at times.

Description: Lantern Archons are balls of holy light that move around gracefully and speedily. These beings project their own light and for an attack shoot blasts of holy energy at an opponent as a natural ability. As far as spells go a Lantern Archon knows how to heal small injuries, create defensive screens that last for a short amount of time, and cure people of basic curses and poisons. Being that they are made entirely of light in their summoned form a Lantern Archon moves about as it pleases not effected by gravity.

Description: Laelaps is a beautiful and loyal hound that is extremely protective of his summoner. Laelaps is able to use heaven fire in addition to wind magic both offensive and defensive types. Having an incredible tracking ability Laelaps is able to find people simply from a single scent. As a hunting hound Laelaps can mask his scent and easily hide in the surrounding environments. Like Misae he is a bond summon but, his psychic link isn't as deep as Misae's and he can't tap into Alastin's energies like the dragon. In a pinch situation Laelaps is able to transfer his energy to Alastin or Misae. Having a warm fur coat Laelaps is now a common sight around Alastin since Misae can't exactly keep him company in his room.
