Name: Train Artemis Volaere
Occupation: Apprentice Alchemist; Inactive D-13/USAF Officer
Nickname: The Rocket Alchemist
Nationality: American (French Descent)
Height: 5 foot 3 inches
Weight: 123 pounds
Age: Seventeen
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Golden
Appearance: Train has a slim body but, is in good physical condition from his years training with the D-13 as a military-style alchemist. Around his neck is a silver amulet with a Solomon Seal on it that Train sometimes uses. His hair is of middle length except for the ponytail on the back of his head which reaches his shoulders. His eyes often have a quiet expression to them as he always seems to be thinking when he's not involved with something or when he's not around Arche. Train often has eyes that see more then people anticipate being a rather intelligent young man with a high-level of perception especially with people. He walks with a swagger sometimes and often breaks out in sarcastic or witty comments. Let's not forget the fact that Train is a total chow hound and gains nothing in weight thanks to his body's natural high metabolism.
Personality: Ah the personality the ever so fun personality. Because of alchemy and military training many would expect Train to be dour and almost always serious about things. This is not the case actually in fact Train is only serious when he has to be. He is a rather hyperactive individual who is quick to react on things and doesn't exactly think about what he says beforehand. He has a SERIOUS short complex problem and is willing to blow a hole in anyone who calls him short, midget, small. Yeah you get the idea. Train from being around a certain Arche of the MacRagallach family also has the rather amusing concept of making duo witticisms with her. This has resulted in the collaboration of tag team attacks in the hopes of becoming the new double trouble duo of the Academy. Train is a brutally honest person even when people don't want the truth he will make a habit of saying it anyways.
History: Train was born to a military family that was already deeply invested with the D-13 and their inner workings. His father being among the General Staff of the Defense Department that helps ensure that the general populace doesn't find out about D-13's existence. After all if you're going to run a top-secret military project the less people that know the better and more smoothly that it can be run. While Train didn't live in D.C. where his father was almost constantly working he did stay with his mother who was a hacker for D-13 that operated in Texas to keep an eye on the media in the region. With both parents heavily vested in their work Train had to quickly go further then that and explore his hometown.
The MacRagallach ranch was one of the closer hotspots being that it was on the outskirts of Austin. Train had very brief encounters with them but, it was mostly just that hello and how you doing neighbor sort of thing. Things didn't actually get down to meeting and who people were until Train met Arche at an NRA convention that was taking place in Houston. The two became fast friends immediately since they both had similar interests in causing trouble and just doing the things they liked. Train learned a degree of shooting from Arche and was friendly enough with Torm. It was a fast friendship and a pretty good childhood that was spoiled at an early age. Train's father came back on one of his rare visits and took Train with him to have him tested for magic potential.
The results came back with a staggering positive note on them more importantly that Train had a high potential with alchemy. With his father's influence Train was sent to the D-13 branch of the military and immediately put in a training cadre to turn the young man into something of pride for the family. Both parents wanting Train to join the service as well to better serve the country. Train's heavy talent in military alchemy revolved around rockets and the mechanics around them. Brilliance was obvious as his understanding of the advanced formulas of Alchemy made it easier to understand physics, mechanics, engineering, electronics, and other applications that he would need. While he certainly wasn't a sharp-shooter or hand-to-hand specialist Train had training in both fields to supplement his abilities.
By the age of sixteen Train was officially registered and quickly promoted to the rank of Major and placed on the research and development team there. These promotions were a result of the influence from his father even though Train had OCS training. Yet he wasn't happy there in fact he missed the old lifestyle and it showed in his psychiatric reports that he was stressed out. He wanted to be able to do things again on his own time not set by the rules of the military. To be called a dog of the military was something he hated at times. After all sure he had access to funds, research materials, as well as having a staff that helped him and protected him but, he just wasn't satisfied. He wanted to do something more and just be himself rather then some military brat that would forever be overshadowed by his father's influence.
Director Lancaster in his wisdom and wanting to stay on good terms with the Arcane Academy while sizing up their training on a more personal note compared to thier own instead offered him the chance to go there to study. Eagerly Train accepted and was placed on the inactive roster as he was shipped out. To his surprise and obvious good mood both Arche and Torm were at the Academy meaning he wouldn't have to start completely from scratch so to speak. Now stands Train a young Alchemist wanting to step away from his parents shadows and explore a new horizon. The endless horizon that was known as magic.
Style: Alchemy
Alchemy has often been referred to as the art of transmutation or the Art of Science. It is the most scientific of all the arts, and is highly complex. This art's main focus is to not manipulate objects by using your mana or magical force, but instead to minimize that amount by manipulating the objects cellular structure to alter it into a new object. Such as changing a chair into a stool. Furthermore, alchemy is not limited to objects, but living things as well. To perform alchemy, one would need a circle bearing Solomon's Seal to transmute a object, but in time the user would gain mastery over Alchemy and would be able to perform it without a Alchemic Circle, and instead would only need a mental image of the circle. Train is known as the Rocket Alchemist for his specialty in using explosive attacks through alchemy as well as his tinkering with his beloved weapon a multishot rocket launcher. Because of his name he also has an affiliation with fire element attacks. His military training gives him a key mind for creating large-scale weaponry through alchemy. In addition Train knows how to work with clockwork mechanics though this requires more research and building then spell ability.
Strengths: Train's military training gives him an edge over other alchemists in the combat area having the knowledge of weapon mechanics to create complex weaponry. Also Train's combat abilities without spells are better then average since he was trained rather then just picked it up. Creativity and combination attacks are his common strength. Train's rank and his father's influence gives him access to military equipment.
Weaknesses: His weakness for tinkering with things can sometimes cause his devices to backfire or blow up in his face for sometimes devastating and very BAD results. His time with the military and his narrow-learning environment will make it harder for him to acquire magic outside of the areas that he already knows. In addition Train's main weapon is slow on the reload if done by hand since Train has to load the tubes from behind one by one. Train's stubborness with things can make him commit to rash actions that could usually be avoided.
Spell List: Current spells that Train knows.
[Alchemy]
[/li][li]Large Scale Weapon Transmutation ~ Train removes the Solomon seal amulet from around his neck and focuses energy into that slamming that into the ground below him. Train is able to create military-grade weapons such as light cannons, mortar launchers, stationary rocket launchers, machinegun turrets, and other such weapons. Obviously Train can only do this when he has metal or stone to work with. Train also has the ability to strengthen the materials in weapons provided he has the materials. The ability follows the law of equivalent exchange meaning if Train doesn't have the materials he can't make it. This generally only uses an amount of energy slightly larger then small.
[/li][li]Small Scale Weapon Transmutation ~ This is more of the personal weapon transmutation Train able to create hand-held weapons to use so long as he has the required materials. He can even create ammunition for weapons, throwing weapons, grenades, as long as he has the required materials to create it. This often means that Train will carry the materials in his belt pouches ahead of time to make it or use the environment around him to make it. Train either draws a small transmutation circled on a surface making sure he has the required materials inside of it and then activates it to what he needs. This takes little energy to do since it's rather simple in nature.
[/li][li]Bombardment ~ Drawing a Solomon seal into the ground which takes a few seconds Train then places both hands and activates it causing several scaled-down missile silos to be created around him. Train's limit currently is four each silo carrying a single cluster warhead missile. When activated by Train the missile launches into the air and splits apart the warheads streaking down much like guided bombs striking a thirty meter radius area with explosions this is per missile mind you meaning if he launches all four at once he can create a devastating carpet bombing effect. The missiles target can not be changed once launched meaning they rely on their explosive radius rather then accuracy to score a hit. This attack uses a moderate amount of energy.
[/li][li]Explosive Combustion ~ Train actually draws out a lighter for this attack with a Solomon seal that is engraved on it. Igniting the lighter Train touches the seal to it and expands the flames pushing them towards an opponent with explosive force. The flame blast is insanities having no long-lasting effects unless whatever was attacked is flammable. The explosive force is a result of rapidly expanding the flames creating an air pressure shockwave that is similarly found in explosives. Thus making the damage two-fold. Because it requires that Train have flames to work with and he is only manipulating rather then creating it uses a small amount of energy. Obviously the size of the blast has limitations that grow as Train gains rank. Should Train not have the lighter he has to draw the Solomon seal required to use this.
[/li][li]Wall ~ This is a simple ability the name says it all by activating the seal around his neck or drawing the seal Train slams his hands into the ground causing a wall to arise from the ground. This isn't creation it is merely shifting the ground to Train's liking namely creating a wall of whatever the material of the ground is to block enemy attacks or enemies. Not that just limited to that of course you could get fairly creative. This uses a small amount of energy for each usage.
[/li][li]Repair ~ A simple ability in itself Train has the ability to repair non-organic items and restore them back to their undamaged state using spare materials. This is often useful for repairing weapons that get busted up. Train has to draw the Solomon seal to use this ability which requires a small amount of energy when activated.
[/li][li]Ground Spikes ~ Ah what Alchemist wouldn't be complete without the ability to create spikes from the ground. Once again Train will use the Solomon seal around his neck holding it with one hand. The other hand touching the ground. Train can launch small spikes from the ground at opponents, create sudden spike pits, or impale them with spikes. While this only uses a small amount of energy for striking single opponents it goes up as more enemies are attacked.
[Clockwork Mechanics]
[/li][li]Clockwork Kamikaze Hamsters ~ Simple in use Train only invests a small amount of energy to start the critter's motors up and then throws it at an opponent while it's still curled up in a ball. Once it hits the ground it uncurls and runs immeadiately at the closest enemy. From there it scrambles up, latches on, and self-destructs. The explosive force is like being hit being hit by a massive sledgehammer and will probably knock a person off their feet. In addition the stun from the sudden impact takes effect for a mere one or two seconds if the opponent was kncoked off thier feet. Otherwise it just hurts. Train usually carries four of these in his belt pouches.
[Scroll Magic]
[/li][li]Weapon Summoning Scroll ~ Train can store weapons in a scroll to make them easier to carry requiring a small amount of energy to store the weapon in the scroll. They take on a Kanji Insignia that Train can read and understand. It requires a small amount of energy to reverse the process. Train developed this technique through the help of one of the D-13 mages so he wouldn't have to lug around the rocket launcher. It takes a couple of seconds to unravel the scroll and another second to bring the weapon to his hands. Obviously just as it takes a small amount of energy to store a weapon it takes a small amount of energy to summon it. Should the scroll get damaged or destroyed the equipment is simply summoned in the spot of the ashes. Train can also store spare ammunition with this.
Weapons/Gear: Notable equipment that Train has.
[/li][li]M202A1 Multishot Rocket Launcher "Predator" ~ Train's main weapon of choice is a military-grade multishot rocket launcher. The launch tubes are arranged in a two-by-two fashion with a targeting sensor for him to look through and increase his accuracy by a bit if he has the time to aim more precisely. Each tube carries four rockets giving Train sixteen shots before he has to reload the tubes. The dark gray armor plated weapon is made of light-weight materials and is extremely durable making it useful for a two-handed smashing weapon or blocking attacks. The weapon does require Train to use both hands to handle the recoil and it's not suggested he moves when firing or suffer horrendous accuracy issues. In addition there are two large white Solomon seals engraved on either side that Train can tap into. For ammunition Train has the standard high-explosive versions with the ten-meter blast radius as well as the armor-piercing version with the five-meter blast radius.
[/li][li]Collapsible Titanium Bo Staff ~ Train's close-combat weapon is a light weight collapsible bo staff that is only two-feet long in its collapsed steel. When extended it's a full six-feet long. The durable metal makes it quite adept at smashing into things and not having a problem. In addition the light-weight material makes it easy for Train to use without suffering agility loss. Both ends of the staff have small single shot panzer fausts. Quite a nifty surprise. Reloading the panzer fausts by hand takes thirty seconds so it's not recommended to reload in a fight. The panzer fausts being small only have a two-meter explosive radius.
[/li][li]Firestar .27 Caliber Pistols ~ These pistols are the semi-automatic variety and have fifteen shot clips make them useful backup weapons. Able to be equipped with laser sites as well as silencers they are Train's backup ranged weapons. The pistols have armor piercing, standard, and rubber ammunition available for them.
[/li][li]Equipment Belt and Vest ~ A heavy-duty belt this belt carries holsters for the Firestars, six clip holsters, two large poaches, and numerous smaller belt pouches. There is also a holster in the back for holding the staff in its collapsed state. The belt also has a flak vest with numerous pouches attached to it so Train can carry spare materials for his alchemy in making explosives and that sort of thing.

Items: No items to note.
Note: Train's best friend is none other then the slightly psychotic ass-kicking Gun Mage known as Arche who he shares a dorm suite with. Train's military training gives him familiarity with military grade weapons and the knowledge of making them should he have to. Train also has a standard body armor flak vest for his person issued by the military and several other common military items. He also carries chalk for drawing Solomon seals if he needs to.

((OOC Note: Oddly when I deleted the profile a couple times as I did edits and spellchecks to make it look cleaner my post count remained. If someone could knock my posts back I'd appreciate that.))
((OOC Note Two: Torm the creator of Clockwork Mechanics gave me permission to use it as well.))
