These two buddies bring up good points. Of course, I don't count the latest NT warrior and all that computer Megaman crap as MegaMan games... but I'm biased. When I think of the Mega Man series, I think Mega Man 1-8 or 9, I think, And Mega Man X 1-8. Good games, those. Hard as hell. And yeah, the Zelda series also gets major points in my book for being consistently fun, entertaining, and not terribly redundant, even when every game has essentially the same ending. Nintendo's best feature lies in its innovation, I think, and Miyamoto always brings it to the table when he starts up another Zelda game. Zelda series: Definitely my second pick. I started Tales of Symphonia, but the storyline was just a little too cheese for me. Maybe I didn't get far enough to see any real plot development, which is probably the case. Anyway, this gaming fanatic needs to shut up now, he's gone on too long about it.

Xeryth i don't know hwo you get dynasty warriors in KH2 besides the whoel fighting a thousand heartless which does make sense. But i have a little list here. 1. The Story Is AMAZING! It never stops going and doesn't repeat like some others do. Kh CoM If a direct continuation from KH and Kh2 is a direct continuation from Kh CoM so it really is cool to be able to continue the story form where you left off. 2. Gameplay. Now the game play is completley user friendly. The camera is easy to use. Youc an use massive combos with only a fe wbuttons. When in doubt in the air you can recover yourself. (this is kinda combat related.) Your relativley fast on your feet so it is fun to run around. The gummy ship is a lot more fun and exciting. Not just the crap gummy from the first game. 3. Graphics. All through the game the Graphics are relativley good. But every so often you would get those really good clips. (Pretty much the beggining and ending of the game ) 4. Characters. Now the original KH characters are very unique and very cool in their own ways. The disney characters also help add a bit of comedy to tfhe game and story. ( also who tought mickey, donald, and goofy could be so seriosu as well.) The FF chars are cool as they add to the down right awsomeness of the game. 5. The bosses. There are a large variety of bosses. These are always fun to fight as to give you a challenge and to hopefully show you new ways of beating Heartless. Now in Kh2 you have a really good chance of beating the bosses with drove and even if you die chances are mickey will come to your aid who is like the mouse form of yoda. The only really big problem I can see is the button mashing. sure you can always get the action command by pressing teh triangle but other then that it is pretty much moving jumping and pressing the X button rapidly.

- clears throat - The top three reasons I hate Kingdom Hearts I adn II.
1 - They put DISNEY with FINAL FANTASY!
2 - Disney is in a game that coudl have been if Donald and Goofy weren't there adn you replaced them with, oh idn, original characters.
3- Disney decidedit woudl be fun to try and make a good game, well guys the story rocked, but when you added in characters you kinda shot the game in the head.

The characters made the story cool as they were going to disney planets. you have to give them props. They may have used unorignial characters yet it was in an orignial game and very good at that.

That's exactly what I meant, the game is nothing but button mashing. X and Triangle, all day long, and you've won the game. No challenge, no nothing. Just like Dynasty Warriors.
In the first game, there were SO many different fun things you could do, like build Gummi Ships, find the Dalmatians, go back and revisit each world to explore and find things you didn't before.
In the second game, there is nothing like that. Every world is flat and one-dimensional. There's no up or down to it. You simply cross from one large plain to another, fighting the random Heartless and Nobodies that show up. The storyline just pulled you through each world, told you EXACTLY where to go, you'd go there, you'd kill something, or watch some cutscene, it'd tell you somewhere ELSE to go, you go there, more killing, more cutscene. All the way to the very end, you're simply led along like a good little mouse, with the only freedom you have is selecting what worlds you want to go to. Big whoop. Now I feel so ready to take you on that I'm going to hit each of your five points specifically!
1. For starters, what you said made absolutely no sense. You're trying to tell me that it's revolutionary for a game's sequel and three-quel (technically speaking) are... *gasp* Continuations of a storyline?! Oh my GOD, that's GENIUS! Oh, and you're also wrong, your storyline DOES end, at the end of the game. Except for that secret ending, so I guess, god forbid, they're making another one.
Anyway, now that I'm done making fun of your point, I'll grant you one thing: The only reason I played KH2 was to finish the storyline, which, though fairly predictable, was engaging enough to keep me coming. Mostly though I just wanted to see what happened to Riku. Riku ended up looking like a damn homeless person.
2. The gameplay is easy, but like I said, it's boring. You're strung along, mashing hte X button the entire way, there's no complication at all, making this game more akin to a child's game than anything. I found the gummi ship design from the first game to be VASTLY superior tothe second, as it was simple enough to pick up, yet challenging enough to get an optimum machine from your parts. The sequel's version was just much too complicated, making the only really worthwhile idea was to use a pre-constructed ship.
While the actual Gummy level design was a bit more engaging, it was wholly unnecessary. It was just too complicated too Star Fox-Wannabe for my tastes. I enjoyed flying through space on KH1 with my gummy ship, blasting the baddies just for fun, and would often do that instead of warp travel.
3. The graphics were the same as EVERY other game that's out right now. EVERY OTHER GAME. I don't give a crap about graphics, never have, never will, and beyond that, the level of graphic detail has about hit as good as its gonna get, if you ask me. Graphics don't make a game.
4. Characters? All the characters were static and boring. I know you're going to pee yourself when I say this, but Sora is the worst video game hero I've ever seen. He's naive, annoying, undeveloped, ugly, improportioned, and stupid. He can never understand anything that's going on right in front of his face, all of his friends have to pick up most of his slack, he's impetuous and doesn't even think straight half the time. Riku's only a little better, he's still pretty stupid, but at least he adds a certain bit of 'cool factor' that Sora so horribly lacks.
The Disney characters weren't interesting past their comic effect. The Final Fantasy characters were all utterly useless and had no real presence within the game except to say 'Hey, look at me, I'm from a different video game! Weird, huh!'
The only part about that game, character-wise, I liked was when Mickey got PISSED OFF. That was crazy-cool.
5. The bosses were easy, 'nough said. I played the game on its hardest mode and had absolutely no trouble. Hardly ever died, never had Mickey come and save me, (Heck, when they give you game stats and it said "Mickey saves" or whatever, I didn't even know what they were talking about) and all in all was pretty unimpressed with the difficulty of the bosses and the game in general.
Sooo yeah. KH2 = Pwnt.

Whoa there everyone... I know we've all got our fanboy hats on here, but let's put the e-penis's away for a moment and accept that there's no way everyone's gonna agree here.
It's true, all the games listed in this discussion have their good points. It's also true that they all have their bad points. Allow me to break it all down for you (and this is JUST an oppinion, so no need to shout about this).
Kingdom Hearts I-II:
Good - Interesting story. Myriad of characters to interact with and places to go. Nice blend of cool, funny, evil and innocent characters.
Bad - Reppetative play style. Low character intelegence. Too easy in II.
Metal Gear Solid:
Good - Brains over Brawn. Big Bosses. Engaging story. Clever gameplay mechanics. Sence of subtle humour.
Bad - More cutseens than gameplay. MG, MGS & MGS2 were all essencialy the same game with just a different location and story. Slow pace will bore some.
The Legend of Zelda:
Good - Always inovative. Clever puzzles. Fun story. Endless inventory.
Bad - Can feel like a dungeon crawler. Some puzzles are pointlessly hard. Samey ending to every game.
Super Mario:
Good - Fun, simple & enjoyable.
Bad - Similar gameplay throughout. Saving the princes. The mushroom kingdom guards.
Kirby:
Good - Fun games with power stealing twist.
Bad - Childish appearence. As many bad games as good ones.
Metroid Prime:
Good - Fun. Samus Auron. Clever puzzles.
Bad - Little improvement between games.
Grand Theft Auto:
Good - Good use of Sand-Box concept. Myriad of vehicles and weapons.
Bad - Samey games. Over use of violence. Bland steriotypical characters.
Mega Man:
Good - Cool. Fun. Chalenging. Fast paced. Intriguing continuing story.
Bad - Little to no difference or improvement between games anymore. No difficulty setting for newer players.
The Tales of:
To be honest, I've not played them so I'm not qualifyed to comment.
------------------------------
To put it bluntly, there's no need to be getting so defencive over a game. Because in the end, it all comes down to the tastes of the individual.

I pretty much agree with you Maverik.
But with Mario I think we shoudl just say that itis the same exact story except the company tries to upgrade the gameplay and put it in different enviroments.

But guys! Obviously, the best series MUST be the Robot Jesus series! I mean, he's not only Jesus, but, HE'S A ROBOT.
You know, the robot protocol, "Kill all humans"? If this is Robot Jesus, he snaps his metallic fingers, and everyone get's vaporized! Then, he goes onto fight Organic Satan, and a battle of epic proportions ensues!
.. I'll so totally shut up now.

I wouldn't say I had my fanboy hat on, so much as my "Angry Bitter old Man-Gamer" hat on.
I wear it quite often, but usually switch the "Gamer" for whatever I'm dealing with at the moment.

I'm not submitting a vote. The title is best game, but you didn't say best game out of the selected choice nominies. However, do continue your campaign to impose your opinion on everyone else.
You also forgot LoD, which, in my opinion, had better graphics resolutions, better cut scenes (which aren't graphics, they're dolby. It doesn't count as graphics), and better depth and story.
Do you notice the conundrum between the above paragraphs?

Ok
1. Robot Jesus was created by Satan to sneak up to heaven and destroy god. Then he would reak havoc on townsfolk.
2. Sorry But I shall announce THAT THIS POLL IS TEH BEST GAME OUT OF WHAT I HAD SELECTED.

Too late, you can't change your mind once votes are casted, or else the votes don't count.

Just a quick thing to you, Mayon. To most, Mario is so cool because it's always simple, it's always addicting, and really, it wouldn't be the same if they tried to make the story engaging. It's sort of cool when inbetween all your Halo's and your Half Life's and even your Kingdom Hearts, that there's a game out there you can just throw in your console and no all and well that you don't have to think about what's gonna happen or what your dude's gonna do in the next cutscene. It's cause frankly, when you play, you don't care.
Oh noez!!! SLIGHT RAMBLE FACTOR!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
