The Waters Thank You'
Hakfu had joined in the fray, being followed alongside by Sai, as they took on the smaller foes, as the Priest pinpointed the spiders. However, Hakfu only made a single slash at such spiders, and Sai, a single slap, before they ran on, determined to watch out for Jyo and the Priest. However, a strange noise was heard, as Hakfu turned around to see a mass of acid in their general direction. Damn spiders!
"Time to act.."
Sai was ready, Hakfu was ready, and Hakfu was almost ready to sacrifice Sai's presence on the battlefield when Jyo rushed up beside them and raised his shield. Looking around him, the dead were seen melting, melting... Hakfu gave Jyo a smile nonetheless.
"Thank you... time to repay the debts, though!"
Time to use some new spells. He looked around to Sai, who nodded at him. Figeting around with his hands, he put a hand on both Jyo's and the Priest's shoulder, and Sai did the same.
"Generosity de energe und oceanus blessun."
[shadow=brown,left,300][glow=blue,2,300]"Ish nuu..."[/glow][/shadow]
Immediatly, energy began to run through both the summoner and the summons arms into both Jyo and the Priest. A surge of energy began to fill them, at the cost of their own. Hakfu fell back, Sai catching him, as he smiled.
"There..."
Whirling around at the unfamiliar face, he saw a young man with a fierce looking summon. The boy's offer was indeed accepted, and Jyo even gave the okay. The boy's name was... Junpei, right? Hakfu grinned a little as Junpei went on the attack. Hakfu pointed his ceremonial fan at the new found ally.
"Agree.. here's a present from me to you, for our first meeting! "Strengthos ithos oceanus granthos.""
At once, Sai complied, simply by pointing the palm at Junpei.
[shadow=brown,left,300][glow=blue,2,300]"Ish nuu..."[/glow][/shadow]
The air began to saturate around Junpei, as water collected into his body, strengthening and reinvigorating him. Hakfu gave a gasp, as he fell back, Sai too focused to pay any heed, looking around. Gathering himself up, Hakfu raised out his sword again. The D-13 and others were already rushing past them, on the move, already attacking. The orders were heard. Crystal.
"Alright! Priest, Jyo, Junpei! I've got your backs! Break their backs for me!"
A beast man shot just went over Hakfu's head, barely missing him... bah.. Sai took a step forward, ready to cover with any needed support spells. Hakfu was of no use on the front, so... in the back, he would at least support his allies.
Jyo Mashima "Water Shield" will last 3 more rounds!
Junpei has been granted "Touch of Water"! +1 Strength!
Jyo Mashima and the "Priest" have been granted "Ocean's Generosity"! +3 Energy to Both! -6 Energy from Sai!
Hakfu's remaining Soul and Energy is moderate.
Sai's remaining Energy is moderate.

"Jyo, "The Priest", Song and Junpei! I'll provide melee support around the commandeered spider's front! Just give me a few minutes! I need to help somewhere else, It'll be a Jiffy!" Baal yelled, continuing to yell "D-13 needs a diversion! I'm going to set something off to do the job, then coming right back!" before his voice deepened to chant [glow=red,2,300]"Time... transmission... NOW!"[/glow] to teleport himself to an area within the D-13 pin-down that was "safe". Baal moved up to one of the front barricades, avoiding fire as it came. He crouched down, and brought himself to chant something else... [glow=red,2,300]"From the Netherworld, Personal Devil, come, and show me your power, Crimson... Crimson![/glow] The mana offering was accepted without a hitch and a small explosion of energy about 10ft. above Baal occurred... a small dragon appeared. It was telepathically ordered to fly close to the ground, and around the "stand" D-13 was at, and to flame anything that was firing at teh D-13 members and itself. Crimson flew off to start just as it was ordered. Baal waited to see if it could survive outside the makeshift barricades before he'd make up his mind to leave again.
Baal has 72% energy left. Crimson P.D. is out and at full strength.

Ahh, when plans come to fruition.[/u]
Indeed Hakfu, we shall be your sword, and you shall be our shield... I have defied gods and Demons, and today shall be no different!
With that, the Priest forced the energy just given to him into the Spider. It seemingly began to bulge, growing bigger, and then, jumping off of it, it ran toward the D-12 line. As it moved, faster than any of its comrades, it got bigger. It stopped, looked, and found the greatest concentration of the acid spewing spiders, near the D-12, were about 10 were saturating the area. Jumping and landing amongst them, it exploded, the Dark Energy that The Priest had injected into it exploding it outward, as its acid destroyed not only the spiders, who in turn exploded, but the entire back of the enemy advance toward D-12. The Ranged units evaporated in the acidey goo.
The Priest landed with a thud, on his feet. He knew he probably just destroyed his ankle, but he didn't care. He continued on, bullets flying from the dual Beretta's, slamming home into the skull of all beastmen around him. Summoning back these dead bodies, he sent them to kill their ex-comrades, as he focused on raising the dead Arcane Units, as well as the Dead Monastery units. These were the most powerful on the battlefield, and although they couldn't use their magic, they were strong. Bullets poured forth, as well as swinging swords, as Priests new Spell-caster ranked adorned him the ability to control his zombie's more refined motor-movements.
They charged ahead...

The zombie army shot forward to battle with the spiders land beast men n hand to hand combat. Meanwhile, the allied forces of(In initials) BS, D-13, M and A rushed up behind them and started to push back the beast hordes. The invaders were slowly gain ground while the Beasts were making their way back to the jungle.
"All forces forward" A commander yelled as the entire army rushed through the jungle...the jungles of death.....
Leading them were once more zombies...the cannon fodder for the army while the real troopers were in the back, ranging from vampiric hookers to Kung Fu master monks....
Suddenly, the zombie lies exploded in gory display as the entire front line just....died....again....... In the distance were gunners/spiders along with very new looking turrent guns and other long, power weaponry. The rained down bullet after bullet, acid after acid, or bomb after bomb upon the ranks, causing dismay to the soldiers. Quickly the commander psychically ordered the soldiers to find cover from the fire as the army broke apart to find shelter from the very heavy fire.....
"Okay men" The commander said, psychically of course. "Just hold the lines for now. Air support is on their way to deal with these bastards... So all you gotta do is to let any stinking SOB to pass these lines you hear!!?"
Objective: Hold Line Until Air Support Arrives

"Of course they chose NOW of all times to bring in the big guns. Don't they know you hodl your trump card for the end?!"
Junpei ducked behind a tree and watched as a D-13 next to him was ripped apart. Gritting his teeth in anger Junpei set his right hand down and out, readying himself for a spell.
[glow=black,2,300][glow=blue,2,300]"Veniant spiritus glaciales, extendantur aeri tundram et glaciem loci noctis albae... crystallizatio. Septendecim spiritus aeriales, coeuntes... sagitta magica, series fulguralis. Sis mea pars per nonaginta secundas. ministra. Undetriginta spiritus obscuri... sagitta magica, series obscuri. Undetriginta spiritus lucis... sagitta magica, series lucis. Veniant spiritus aeriales fulgurientes, cum fulgurationi flet tempestra austrina. Jovis tempestas fulguriens. Veniant spiritus glaciales osbcurantes, cum obscurationi flet tempestra nivalis. Nivis tempestas obscurans. Mea virga..."[/glow][/glow]
Junpei smiled as his hand began to at first glow black, and then ignite into flames. Finally he focused the fire into a ball and looked around the tree, there stood one of those turrent toting spiders, ready for the taking. Smiling to himself Junpei turned the tree and loosed the fire.
"NETHER FIRE, MAGINFY!"
The previos paragraph of speach had been a growth spell, one that worked specifically with dark magic and that Junpei had been reseaching to make this fire spell more.... potent. The ball of fire grew to 20 feet in diameter and covered the distance to the spider in no time, igniting the thing with black flmaes that would burn as hot as any. Unfortunately that little trick burned Junpei out and he collapsed to a knee as he took several deep breaths. Now glad that the summoner from early had strengthed him Junpei stood on shaky legs and got back behind the tree, grinning. Looking over he saw the comander and calle dout.
"How's that?!"
Junpei yelled as more beasts poored into the feild of combat, more than a few burning as black nether fire from the fire splashed onto them and then incinerated them. At least it would be a quick death, being trampled by thousands of monsters. Then again, they could just toy with them.

Damn.. That kid has style....
The Priest took aim, well, mostly just aimed ahead, and fired. 42 bullets rang from the pistols, and 40 beastmen dropped, either in extreme mortallity reducing pain, or completely dead, bullet holes causing chunks of their head to fly apart.
Reloading quickly, he shot again, another 20 beasts dead in 22 bullets. He focused his energy, and held both of this pistols in one hand, using both hands to steady them. It was a bullet bomb, infused with some trace amounts of spirit. Aiming it at a spider, he shot, the recoil causing him to stutter backwards, and the Spider looked just slowly enough for the giant round to explode its head, and drill through his body, which also exploded. The violent de-pressurization of its acid sack caused it to explode into the backlines of the Beastmen.
He emptied his now empty clips, reloaded, and realized he need to conserve ammo more... He was down to only 10 clips in his satchel.
"Guys.. just hold the line. No heroics... I don't feel like healing anyone today..."

"That was good" Baal said as he raised his head over the rock he was taking cover behind to watch the fireworks. Baal decided he would try something he never tried before... He began by materializing his sword... which began to flash violet soon after. with his sword the way it was at the moment, Baal moved the blade of his sword through the air like a pen to paper, and "drew" a pentagram, about 10 ft. in diameter, in the air. He moved his sword's tip so it was aimed at one of the turrents, and brought his blade back, leaving the pentagram there...and he moved his sword through that pentagram... as in he impaled it..., releasing the energy at sub-light speed, he started moving his sword so it was aimed at another turrent gun destroying everything inbetween, and made a sweep with the attack that destroyed at least half of the turrents, and disintegrated several of the spiders...

(^^ For best results, try to see the picture as though it’s in the movie Underworld. With those kinda effects and music as well XD Btw Baalthazar, destroying half of the turrets is kinda too much… If you can do so much destruction, you may as well destroy the other half of the turrets and we won’t even need air support anymore.)
Darah had gotten off Gekko’s back for a while now and the mother and son couple followed by foot and claw behind their little squad of undead minions. The zombies were leading the way into the dense jungle and towards the enemy base but Darah felt as if the real reason for them to stay in front of the group was to protect the Academy’s mages from attacks and traps. Or more likely, fall into traps so the soldiers would be able to walk safely around revealed traps or being taken out by enemies first so that the Academy’s mages and soldiers would be able to have some time to prepare themselves before the enemy got to them. Since their numbers were plenty the zombies were thought to be as expendable, even to their own faction the Blood Society. It made Darah wonder if the walking corpses even knew what was going on. That they were in a war and they were being used as rag dolls. Trap-testers. Blind pawns in a game of chess. No, the zombies probably didn’t know what was happening to them. They were only bodies. Vessels. Their souls as well as their minds, their ability to think for themselves, have all probably gone to a better place or were being tortured by a red guy with horns and a pitchfork. All that is left for the zombies were most likely just rotting brains which did nothing more than take orders. Darah found that the zombies were a rather pathetic bunch and yet sad at the same time as she occasionally actually rushed forward to rescue a few of the corpses from falling into pits filled with spikes. It was pointless considering how they felt no pain and that they were already dead but Darah still felt compelled to save them. Why save the dead guys? Who knows.
As Darah’s small group walked on, she had the constant feeling that something was amiss. She could not quite place it but there was an ominous sense of danger around them. Of course, this was a war and there was bound to be at least a little fear in everyones hearts, except perhaps if you are a zombie, but this feeling Darah was feeling was coming from their surroundings. She felt as if she was being watched, and by the enemy too. Darah scanned the treetops, the bushes and behind thick tree trunks for any signs of the enemy but found none. She thought for awhile that she saw a crab-like shaped figure up in the canopies but after a second look, it was gone and she disregarded it as a figment of her imagination. Slowly, Darah’s paranoia was raising up her adrenaline levels in her blood but too slowly. Painfully slow. She needed her hex+ immediately. If there were any enemies around, her heat vision provided by hex+ would let her see the stealthy monsters and reveal even the best of camouflage. Feeling a little insecure from the feeling of being watched, Darah moved closer to her kid, Gekko, to protect him incase anything happened. Gekko had also felt the same feeling for awhile now and moved closer to his mother as well to protect her.
From a distance away, perhaps a few hundred metres in front of their group, Darah heard the sounds of gunfire, accompanied by explosions, shouts and screams. She tried to take a look ahead and see at what was going on in the front lines of the army. However, the dense foliage which the jungle provided obscured any view of the source and reason of the gunfire up front but she could already guess at what the cause of the sound was. Obviously, the front lines consisting of scouts and spys must have just encountered the enemy and were perhaps trying to draw first blood. But what if they were not trying to draw first blood but were actually trying to defend themselves. That would mean that the Beasts know of the army’s location and are already damaging the front lines, killing the scouts. Now with the rush of an impending battle, Darah’s adrenaline levels rose dramatically. One moment there was a young girl with pale green skin and a pair of short horns on her head, the next moment a monster took her place. For awhile the zombies in front of Darah and Gekko hesitated and looked at Darah. With her five inched serrated horns fashioned like a harpoon’s lance, dark green scaly skin with a covering of mucus over it and standing at six feet of height, Darah looked just like one of those monsters that the zombies as well as the rest of the army were supposed to wipe out. Darah realized that the zombies were considering her to be one of their enemies so with a quick command, she ordered them to continue marching forward. Recognizing an order, the zombies turned around and continued walking towards their impending doom.
Darah looked up when she saw shadows moving across the floor to see ninjas, from the Monastery no doubt, leap from tree branch to tree branch. Darah thought that they were almost as good as her with jumping from tree branch to tree branch, a game she used to play with her little brother before her wish had killed him along with the rest of the Beracun clan. The ninjas seemed to be in a hurry as they headed to report to the commander who was a distance behind Darah. Darah could not exactly see their faces from the masks the ninjas wore but their eyes told her all she needed to know. There was fear in their eyes. Panic. Desperation to get their message across to the commander. Though a distance away, Darah’s increased hearing with hex+ could easily eavesdrop on the ninja’s report. What she had heard was certainly not good. The report the ninja made said that the front lines have been severely outnumbered and that the Beast army was immense, certainly bigger than the army which had attacked the Academy’s Sahara base a few days ago. No surprise there. This was after all the Beasts’ main base. It would be obvious that they’ll have just about all their forces grouped there. However, what made Darah’s poisoned blood pump faster than ever was the part of the report which said that the monsters were headed their way even as they spoke. Darah’s mind immediately did calculations. It had taken time for the ninja’s to return. The monsters were probably at half the speed in which the ninja’s came at. After the entire report, the monsters would be… right here…
The sounds of a million individual feathers flying into the air and through the air were caught by Darah’s sensitive ears. Individual feathers that were used for ballast and direction while flying. Individual feathers that were more often than not attached to the shafts of arrows. Darah quickly looked up at the jungle canopy and stared in horror as a rain of arrows came flying down upon her little group and the other squadrons of the army. “Look to the skies!” Darah ordered her undead minions to prepare themselves as well as shield themselves from the barrage of arrows that were coming their way. The zombies would survive the arrow shower easily though, Darah knew that and changed her focus to the safety of herself and her son. She immediately dilated her poison ducts in her mouth and spat out from it a large amount of hot coating mucus. This huge amount of mucus immediately cooled in the forest air and became solid, hard as a rock, large enough to shield herself and her four metre long kid of a basilisk. Despite its size this makeshift shield was rather light and Darah only needed the help of her son’s head to balance it above them as she crouched upon her son’s back. Darah could feel small tiny impacts coming from the shield as she held it above herself, showing her that the arrow barrage had hit the shield made of hard mucus. She saw no signs of breakage in the shield and no arrow shaft had pierced through the hard material. She watched as her little group of zombies got impaled repeatedly by the arrows. They groaned and writhed and moaned louder still as the arrows pierced through them. Through their eyes, through their limbs, through their rotting hearts and innards. Darah watched as a few fell from having torn ligaments but still did their best to get up, struggling and writhing on the muddy jungle ground all the more, doing their best to follow her orders to continue marching until they came upon the enemy. Some other of the living dead were pinned onto the ground by arrows which had gotten stuck through their bodies and glued themselves onto the jungle mud. These zombies forced themselves to keep going, tearing their rotting meat as they got to their feet, pieces of their bodies still attached to the arrow shafts. Truly as Darah had thought, these undead were pitiful indeed. As well as disgusting, putrid and nauseating just to even look at.
It was just about that the arrow shower had passed and the zombies were getting back up onto their rotted feet when they were suddenly spat upon by a liquid which instantly dissolved them, making them melt into liquid themselves and become absorbed by the jungle floor. The zombies didn’t stand a chance against whatever liquid it was. They didn’t even know what was happening to them as they moaned and groaned until they were completely melted away. It was a horrendous sight and if the smell of their rotting flesh wasn’t enough to begin with, this liquid which disintegrated Darah’s little bandwagon of undead creeps made them reek terribly to Darah’s sensitive nose as the rotting of the zombies’ flesh became accelerated. Next, Darah felt more impact fall upon her makeshift shield of hardened coating mucus accompanied by a hissing sound which probably meant that the strange liquid which had destroyed her little band of undead warriors had now been spat on her shield and the liquid was eating through the hard mucus. As the liquid finally ate a hole through the mucus shield, Darah was forced to throw it away. It was useless against this unknown weapon. However, Darah had finally realized something about this strange liquid. It smelled sour. Very sour and Darah knew what sour meant. You see, anything with the pH level of 1 to 6 was considered an acid and acids were sour. This sour smelling liquid had been acid all along and Darah is very familiar with all sorts of acids. From the mild citric acid found in oranges to the very corrosive hydrochloric acid, Darah could produce such liquids in her poison glands of her mouth and she used these in her fights very often. What she also knew about acids were their counter. When an acid mixes with a base, a neutralizing effect is made. And Darah had just the thing to counter these acids.
Darah tilted her head up and sprayed in a wide array a bunch of mild alkalis all over herself and Gekko. As shots of acids came raining down on them, the acids touched their scaly skins but didn’t have any sort of effect upon them. Darah and Gekko were now immune to this sort of attack. Suddenly, creatures dropped down around Gekko and Darah, surrounding them. Darah took a look at these monstrosities and found them to be spiders. Giant spiders. A flash of memory made Darah remember that crab-liked shape figure in the canopy which she had thought was a figment of her imagination. No, not crabs. Not crabs at all. The figure she had seen was one of these eight legged, acid spitting freaks. All this time the spiders had been watching the army. If only hex+ had come into effect then, Darah wouldn’t have been in this mess as she could have spotted the spiders with her heat vision.
For awhile, there was a brief standoff between Darah, Gekko and the three spiders which surrounded them. Then on some hidden note, both sides engaged each other in battle. Darah rushed headlong into the spider closest to her. She quickly slashed at it with her right claw but to her surprise, this creature had actually seen through her attack and had dodged it. The spider retaliated by raising itself up on its four hind legs and slamming its front legs down onto Darah. Darah was knocked on her left shoulder and down onto the ground she fell. However, quickly did she spring up, jumping backwards to dodge the fangs of the spider as it came after her. The spider continued the offence by charging at Darah with quite a speed, having eight long legs in total meant having long and big strides. It kept swinging its two front most legs at Darah, each swing being as strong as a grown man’s punch. Darah could only dodge as the attacks came at her faster and faster.
Meanwhile, Gekko was doing slightly better that his mother. Out of the two spiders which faced him, one was dispatched quickly. Spiders have eight multi-faceted eyes. It helped them see in an almost 360 environment. However, against a basilisk, vision is not exactly something good. Have such wide vision made the spider look into Gekko’s eyes easily and that was all Gekko needed to use his petrifying stare upon the arachnid which instantly froze the creature to stone. As for the remaining spider, it could see what had happened to its fellow specie and moved towards Gekko’s behind. Gekko however was not one to allow hind attacks on him and started swinging his tail left to right to keep the spider at bay. The spider dodged left and right, avoiding Gekko’s tail equipped with foot long spikes which would kill it instantly if it were impaled upon them. With a quick move, the spider bent its segmented legs to duck as Gekko’s tail swung above it. And just as quickly as it had ducked, it sprang up with a huge leap to land upon Gekko’s back and sunk its fangs into Gekko’s hide. However, a basilisk’s scales were unbelievably hard and the spider’s fangs simple could pierce through the tough material. Gekko, knowing that the spider was on him, swung his head around to bite the spider’s thorax. A loud squeal came from the monster as Gekko crunched his teeth through the exoskeleton. Then, Gekko swung his head in a wide round and let go of the eight legged creature as it slowly turned to stone with the basilisks bite while flying through midair and cracked into a thousand pieces upon hitting a tree. The pieces fell to the floor as Gekko stood victorious.
Back to the fight Darah was going through with the spider, Darah stood triumphantly over the fallen arachnid, her talons stepping on the dead spider’s head to crush it and send spider sap spraying upon the nearby trees, the acidity from the spider scalding the trees. While Gekko had been busy with his spider, Darah had decided to stop being on the defensive side while the spider she was up against kept batting at her. Darah had spat out a large glob of acid, just like the spider had used, back at it. The results were the spider crumbling to the floor as the legs of one side of its body were no more. The creature could only flail and struggle on the floor as Darah plunged her claws deep into its thorax until the four remaining legs on it stopped kicking. After Darah had sent the spider to whatever hell spiders had, she walked over to her kid to inspect him for any wounds. She was satisfied to find nothing other than some scratches of where the spider had tried to bite him at. Gekko himself was licking his mothers left shoulder which was bruised where the spider had batted at her with its leg. Mother and son seemed almost peaceful in this carnage full of shouting, screaming, roaring, explosions and gunfire.
Their little peaceful moment did not last forever as there was a sudden hissing heard in the air. Darah and Gekko both swiveled their necks, turning their heads to look at two gigantic snakes which were slithering towards them, long forked tongues flicking in and out of their mouthes to taste the air. They could smell the acidity in the area and the heat pits at the snakes snouts led them straight to Darah and Gekko. What was with this forest and its huge creatures? Darah could not help but wonder and wouldn’t be surprised if a giant mosquito appears next to suck at her blood until she becomes nothing but a husk. The two slithery creatures before the pair of mother and son reminded Darah of those giant snakes from the movie ‘Anaconda’. The instant the snakes spotted the little female half-demon and the basilisk beside her, they slithered at the two with an intense speed, the strong and powerful muscles of the snakes’ bodies propelling them forward. Instead of letting the snakes get the first attack in, Darah rushed forward towards them to meet them head on. Her kid, Gekko followed closely behind his mother. Even though his fighting prowess was stronger than that of his mother’s, he still knew his place as the son of the family and that his mother was higher up in the hierarchy of the family which only consisted out of him and Darah. Therefore, he always allowed his mother to go first unless his mother told him otherwise.
As if there was some psychic connection between the two, Darah instantly knew to take the serpentine on the left and she was sure that Gekko would go after the one on the right. In truth, it wasn’t that there was a mental link between the two. It was just that their bond as mother and child has grown into something so close that they can understand each other well. A junior would always rely on a senior, a student would rely too much on a master and friends would be too polite to each other. Only those who love each other can work together in harmony as Darah and Gekko can. As two and two clash against each other, the snake Darah was targeting coiled its body into an S-bend shape. A flash of memory came up to Darah’s mind as she saw the snake scrunch its body up in that way. “You can see them get into that S-bend shape. And then suddenly WHAP!” That’s what Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter, always said about snakes as he shoots his hands out and claps them, imitating the way a snake would strike. “WHAP! WHAP!”
Darah realized now that the snake was about to strike and she cursed herself for not paying attention while fighting. It was too late for her to evade the attack, even though her reflexes were like lightning while under the effects of hex+. The serpent lashed out at Darah, uncoiling the muscles in its body to send it straight at the half-demon with it’s jaws right opened and tilted slightly sideways as if to bite Darah in half. Darah’s eyes locked onto the serpent’s jaws and with a stroke of luck, caught the upper and lower jaws with her claws as the giant snake’s momentum pushed her straight into a tree trunk. Wham! Darah’s back hit the tree hard as the snake threatened to close its jaws upon her. The only thing preventing it from doing so was Darah’s hand holding the jaws apart but her strength was wavering and the serpent’s fangs were inching nearer and nearer her slender waist. She had to think quickly. She needed her legs to stand. Her arms were busy holding the snake from closing it’s fangs upon her. What could she do?... Wait a minute. Duh, she still had her poisons. Darah sprayed an intense amount of sodium hydroxide at the snake’s face. Sodium hydroxide was an alkali which was highly corrosive. Immediately, the snake’s face started peeling off as its eyes popped wide open as though someone smashed an egg with a sledgehammer. The creature gave one of the most horrible shrieks Darah has ever heard before going into spasms as the corrosive alkali ate through its brains. At last, Darah felt the strength in the snakes jaws weaken as it fell down to the jungle’s muddy floor, dead and headless.
Pushing the corpse away before leaping over it, Darah was about to return to the scene where her kid was still fighting against the other gigantic snake when suddenly something thin and long bit into her left shoulder. Whatever bit her dragged her backwards and before Darah knew it, she was coiled in the vice grip of a snake’s body. While she had been preoccupied with the first snake and getting back to Gekko, she did not see the other serpent, a third one, slither up behind her until she got attacked by it. She felt the snake’s body starting the constrict her body and she could not even use her claws or talons to scratch and slash her way out as they were pinned down. Her shoulder was bleeding her greenish poisoned blood from where the snake’s fangs pierced through her flesh, forming two bloody holes right through Darah. The pain was excruciating as Darah screamed with agony. Just then, the snake too produced sounds, screeches of pain from deep in its throat. If there was anything worse than even all of the half-demon’s poisons put together it was the half-demon’s poisoned blood which contained all of Darah’s poisons and more. Right now, the snake must be going through the worst pain imaginable. No, beyond imagination. It would feel as if it was going through the fires of hell repeatedly as the different types of toxins and diseases located in Darah’s blood flowed into it and started rupturing its body. The snake slowly released Darah’s body as its muscular system and nervous system broke down. Suffering from a few injuries, Darah made her way back to her kid as quickly as she could. Soon the snake’s respiratory system will shut down along with the blood circulatory system and it would die a slow suffocating death but by then, Darah would have been long gone.
Darah arrived at the spot where Gekko was still battling the giant snake. Gekko had most of his back to the snake and his neck was bent so that he could look behind him and at the snake. His tail was acting much like a whip and it could be compared to a scorpion’s tail as it lashed forward repeatedly and quickly at the snake, trying to impale the latter or at least paralyze it so that Gekko could finish it off. As the tail whip struck, the serpent would pull its head back, making the tail miss and then striking back at the tail while the tail drew back. Gekko and the snake must have gone on at this for the whole time Darah was dealing with the two other snakes from the look of it. Darah felt it a little embarrassing that her kid couldn’t think of doing anything else to get the upper hand on the snake instead of trying over and over again something that people would see is futile only after a few tries. Gekko was very strong and fast but he wasn’t very smart and by the looks of it, it was safe for Darah to say that the snake was probably just as bad.
Willing to end the fight between the two reptilians fast, Darah called up on her energy and dashed towards the long serpent. Because it was focusing only on Gekko’s tail, the snake didn’t notice Darah at all until it was too late. Darah shoulder barged the giant snake’s head and reached underneath to ram her claws up the snake’s head. First, the platinum claws pierced through the snake’s lower jaw, the mandible, then the resistance lessened as Darah’s claws pierced through the lower jaw and entered the buccal cavity. There was once more resistance as Darah’s claws pierced through the upperjaw or otherwise known as the maxilla and ruptured the serpents brains. The giant snake convulsed and went into spasms before suddenly falling to the ground. The weight of its head alone pulled Darah down whose hand was still jammed inside of the dead creature’s head. Darah put her right talon onto the base of the serpent’s head and pushed on it as she yanked her claw right out of the corpse, for awhile leaving a trail of the snake’s blood coming off her claws. Her claws were shoved into the snake so deep that when she pulled her claws out, Darah fell over backwards and landed on her butt.
Darah slowly picked herself off the jungle floor. Her bum was all dirty and she felt incredibly tired. Gekko offered Darah a leg and shoulder for her to rest on as he sniffed at Darah’s shoulder wound. As mother and son, their poisons did not work on each other so there was no harm as Gekko licked Darah’s shoulder. The blood had dried up and the holes have closed by now. For awhile, Darah was some given time to regain some energy when she saw something gleam behind a tree a distance away. “Gekko, down NOW!” Darah ordered her child as she herself dropped to the muddy jungle floor. An arrow whizzed by above their heads and embedded itself into a tree. Darah quickly rushed towards the source of where the arrow was shot from and found a beast man archer tending to his bow behind a thick bush. He saw Darah just in time to see her right claw swipe down at his neck. SLASH! Darah had moved her hand so fast that the beast man had a few seconds to wonder why his head was rolling across the floor before he blacked out for life. Standing up, Darah wiped her hands on some broad leaves when her ears picked up the sound of a bowstring being pulled taut. A few bowstrings to be exact. Darah ducked once more as arrows flew above her, some hitting trees and some which continued flying for awhile before losing momentum and dropping harmlessly onto the ground. She heard a howl of pain accompanied by curses from one beast man archer shouting bloody murder at his companion who had shot him by accident. Darah stood up and changed her way of viewing the world to heat vision. She gasped at the number of beast men around her. There were perhaps thirty of them surrounding her in a wide radius. Beast men with bows as well as crossbows, no doubt. If they had been equipped with any melee weapons such as swords, pikes and daggers as a normal foot soldier would, the beast men would have been surrounding her in a tight circle by now.

(^^; sorry for the double post but apperantly I typed out too much and it exceeded the 25,600 character limit)
Staying low, Darah loped back to her child on all fours like some sort of animal as arrows whizzed past above her head. Meeting up with Gekko, the two got up and started their retreat back towards the main army. The couple of mother and son were sure to stay low and use the bushes and trees of the jungle to their advantage as cover. All the while, there was shouting from behind them as the beast men archers and crossbowmen came together in the chase. Darah knew that they must be feeling the thrill of the hunt in their veins. Darah simply loved that feeling and wouldn’t have minded joining the beast men in the chase if she and Gekko were not the ones being hunted down like a pair of foxes. Arrows flew past over Darah and Gekko’s heads and some flew beside them. They were also saved from the arrows which had hit a tree which was in the way and also from some arrows that had been thrown off course when going through a thick bush.
Suddenly, gun fire! No, the gun fire was not coming from behind Darah and Gekko, but coming from the front. Darah could see a few soldiers dressed in modern military uniforms pointing machine guns, automatics and sub automatics past Darah and Gekko and opening fire. From behind Darah, she heard the screams and shouts of beast men as they fell victim to the bullets that were being shot at them. The soldiers with the guns were from D-13. Darah and Gekko have made it, they have reached the main army. After the soldiers had chased the beast men away, one of them escorted the two back to the Academy’s army even though the man wouldn’t look at Darah at all. Darah didn’t blame him. No one ever wanted to look at her and under the effects of hex+ her popularity was shot down even more. The only one who ever truly stood by her side was Gekko, as he did now as they rejoined the ranks of the Academy’s army. Upon arrival, Darah quickly learnt that the Alliance army now had a good chance to win this war. They were pushing the beasts back and at this rate, the battle would be over in a few hours. Once more, the army took off in the same order. Zombies/minefield testers/trap victims/meat shields in front of the army and everybody else behind. It was truly a simple but great strategy played out by whoever was the strategist of the Alliance army.
Suddenly, disaster struck the army as the zombie army was (once more) decimated. They literally exploded and were sent flying in pieces to all over the place. Even though she grew up to an amazing six feet of height with hex+, Darah still couldn’t see what happened other than pieces of zombie raining all over the place. Darah quickly climbed aboard Gekko’s back and stood up atop his head to peer into the distance. She could see a fresh supply of the same giant spiders she had fought in the jungle as well as them being backed up by beast men gunners, the same as those from the battle at the Sahara base. However, the reason for the zombie front line’s utter destruction were these new large guns which Darah concluded had a lot of power in them. While these heavy machines shot their ammunition, so did the gunners with their bullets and the spiders with their acids as they advanced.
The commander of the attack saw that they didn’t stand much chance against this barrage and ordered a temporary retreat for the army’s soldiers to find cover. Chaos broke out as people pushed each other out of their ways to find a place to shelter themselves from the oncoming attacks. Darah wanted to protest against the commander. Retreating just wasn’t in her blood. Retreating is for the weak. However, Darah could not go against the orders of her superiors and found some shelter behind a large rock together with Gekko and a dozen other mages. "Okay men." The commander barked out loud with his gruff voice "Just hold the lines for now.” According to the commander, the air support would be arriving soon to relieve the soldiers and all they had to do was to defend themselves until the air support arrived. Darah however didn’t accept it. They were playing chicken. Taking cheap shots at the enemy from behind a bunch of rocks. This wasn’t how Darah fought. Not so cowardly. She could feel the adrenaline pumping in her blood vessels. Adrenaline, the hormone responsible for the ‘fight or flight’ feeling. Darah chose fight as she sprayed another layer of weak alkali upon herself and Gekko. The original layer had mostly evaporated already or had been brushed off by leaves while mother and son were running through the jungle.
“We don’t know for sure that the air support is arriving.” Darah shouted out to the commander, “I’ll go buy them some time.” She was only giving herself an excuse to get out from behind the rocks and fight the enemy. Mounted aboard Gekko, the two dashed out from behind the rock and loped towards the oncoming army. It was craziness, insanity at its finest, but if warriors of old could do it and survive, why couldn’t she? Darah was confident of herself and Gekko against the spiders. They had fought them before and with the acids of the spiders almost useless against the mother and son team, the spiders didn’t have much else to attack them with. Darah also knew that the gunners would not be able to shoot her or her kid because of all the spiders in the way of their shots. The two reached the enemy line, Darah jumped off Gekko and the spiders immediately started spraying their acids but to no effect. However, when Darah sprayed her acids on them, the spiders’ exoskeletons began to melt and pretty soon, they were disintegrated. Darah also kept running through between the spiders, claws waving wildly and cutting legs off which caused the arachnids to fall to the ground where Gekko will finish them off by trampling over them. When he wasn’t trampling fallen spiders, Gekko was turning them to stone. The spiders with their eight eyes made it easy for Gekko to stare into them and he also kept up with biting nearby spiders. Gekko’s tail was like a morning star which impaled some of the spiders, paralyzing others. Those paralyzed would end up being frozen to stone as well. If Gekko and Darah were to be compared to an everyday appliance, they would be best compared to a lawnmower, hacking into the enemy lines and leaving no blade of grass standing. Occasionally, Darah would hear a loud explosion. This was a signal to her that the turret guns had just fired and that it was time for a quick change in direction. This way, Darah and Gekko could avoid the turret shells while the shells ended up destroying a fair number of spiders.

Baal's attack to wipe out half the turrets never made way....for a quick magical shield placed all around the turrets blocked his attack. However, a few were burned and unusable from the attack.....A were abandoned...
While the line was being held quite well, the Beast Men attack was slowly pushing the other armies back....the sheer number of them overwhelming the allied defenses. How the hell so many beasts were able to come together in such a short time remains a true mystery...but it didn't matter. All they needed to do was kick the snot out of these guys and investigating all of this could begin.... Now, if only they could get by this insane defense of Turrets, Soldier, bombs, and things like that...
Then suddenly, ripping through the sky....a jet was seen. Behind it was something...amazing...a army of air ships. Floating toward the mess were...giant floating castles that shot very large fire balls....no doubt from the Academy. Behind it were many, many things. Jets and Air planes, probably from D-13 no doubt. However, there were gaint bats that had a aura of Darkness...... Large oriental dragons spraying fire down and bone like air ships bombarding the Turrets. Combining the fire of this large armada, the shielding instantly died and the turrets quickly broke. The Beast men then scrambled back into the Jungles, and into their fortress which was just behind the Turrets....
"OKAY MEN! INTO THE FORTRESS" The commander yelled, only to later psychically rely the order. "Time to go in there and kick the ass of those Bastards!"
Objective: Finish Off the Beast Men Army

The Priest, gripping both pistols, reloaded each. Fresh clips, he cocked back the hammer, and dove over his barricade. He was attempting to bum-rush the turrets. Suddenly, though, great fireballs washed over them, and hurled The Priest backwards. Standing up, he saw many twisted hulks of broken turrest.
Whistling, Loki appeared, and his eyes turned scarlet. The dead beastmen, the ones that The Priest had helped kill, rose to life. Commanding them, THe priest pointed forwards, a goo 50 Zombie Beastmen charged forward.
They broke through the tree lines, and, with their new lack of emotions, hurled themselves at their now fleeing, once comrades. With their new intesity, bone broke through skin, ribs shattered, legs snapped, and throats were torn from the bodies, the last of the beastmen were killed.
Yet, most made it back, and soon, The Priest's zombies were out of commission. As they had kept attacking, they were picked off by the fortress...

Talbot growled softly, of course she had to take a break from her shop. Of course she hadn't been informed until last second there was a fight to be had! HOW DARE THEY LEAVE HER OUT! Mikon and Zula hid in either pocket of her sleeves as she stormed her way to a spot where she could clearly cast without hurting anyone, "Ziare, hurry up! There's no telling what we've missed!"
Without looking back, Talbot took a mana and a boost candy between tongue and cheek, focusing on the enemy she cast, "Gravity!" A great amont of force began to weigh down on the oncoming infiltrators, the enemy would be slowed and without hesistation any descent summoner and fighter would know now was the best time to strike!

Ziare ran behind Tal her pheonix flying over head. Luckily she was wearing her summoner robes and could run fast and easily without worrying about tripping. She ran behind Tal keeping up decently. They had both been informed last minute that the fight was taking place she only hoped they weren't too late to offer some assistance.
"I'm coming, Tal!" she said now matching her stride for stride as they made thier way to the field. Now that she was walking she had Kalladra land on her shoulder becoming the size of an eagle until she would be needed again.
"All right, let's do this Tal!" Ziare said and looked at her sister nodding.

Junpei growled as the beast men began there retreat adn started to fall back into the base. Bastards should have staid out here and fought. Standing up from behind the tree Junpei loosed another Nether Fire ball at the ranks as Preist rose up an undead army to pummel the group. Junpei could only blink as the majority of the army was wiped out and sent packing.
Moving up alongside Preist Junpei gave him and grin and a thumbs up.
"Looks like you're having fun."
Junpei coudl only sprint ahead and start in towards the fortress, who knew what lay in there or what didn't. For all he knew the beast men coudl be lying in wait behind closed doors, guns and bombs ready to go off if even one man entered. They were beasts, they were tough, but an army like the one Junpei was part of now coudl handle it... he hoped.

An Observer of the Upcoming Final Battle
Hakfu's knees felt shaky. Damn the fatigue! Rarely had he ever had to use one of his summons in such a long period of time, but, at least he had enough energy to sustain it. Leaning on Sai's back, he thanked God for his summon, as bullets glazed past and pinged off of Sai's personal shield. But as they were just playing a supportive role, no one had really taken particular aim at them, especially. Hakfu didn't know whether to feel insulted, or lucky. He shook his head: he definetly vied for the latter. Going by some trees, as the bullets flew into the air into both sides, casualties being taken, Hakfu couldn't help but note that the D-13's forces were profficient gunmen, just slapping in their clips, taking careful shots, using trees for cover, and sometimes throwing in the ocassional flash grenade and gunning squads of beastmen down. Beastmen. Ah... pity. It only raised more questions, but, there was no time for this. Gasping in a little air, he wiped the layer of sweat from his forehead. Time to move..
"Garck!"
Stepping down, he looked down. Oh for the love of... a bear trap. He had stepped into a bloody bear trap. Sai, seeing this, bent over and pried it open easily, before throwing it into the fray. Hakfu sat down, disgusted, and looked at the damage on his leg. Damn. Turrent fire was heading their way, bearing down on the trees, destroying their cover when a deafening roar erupted, as air support teared apart their defenses. At last! Orders were soon issued, and Sai, catching Hakfu up into its arms, rushed after the Priest, Jyo, and all the others, but staying back in the background. It was around this area, among the D-13's troops, that he could see a huge monster and a basilisk in the middle of the fray, loosing its fury on the unfortunate beasts. Junpei had also blown apart plenty of their forces, with an incredibly powerful blast of fire and magic.. but it sent a bad vibe up Hakfu's spine, as the black fires consumed its victims with gusto, leaving a terrible residue of a land blackened, unfertile, dead. Even Baalthasar, as he seemingly made himself out to be, was doing a good job, raining down hell wherever he could, eager to join in the frenzy.
For a moment, he didn't know what happened. All that he knew was that he was falling to the ground. Down, down, down. Sai looked suprised as well, as it saw his master falling, into a crumple. Looking to his left shoulder, he saw a hole in it. Trying to move it resulted in pain, and a feeling of uselessness in it, as it refused to even twinge. But even as he fell, he saw two other students from the Arcane Academy... reinforcements!
"We have reinforcements! Incoming!"
Gahh... he shuddered a little. Best not to say something like that with so much enthusiasm, considering his state. Nothing severe, just a little loss of blood. Sai, bending down, picked up his master again, who whipped out his Ceremonial Fan, pointing it at the one called 'Talbot'. He grinned a little, hissing to himself a little disgustedly, but with good cheer in his eyes.
"... Now you can't say I haven't done jack for anyone.. "Bless thee. Endureth further, firmament und Oceanus."
[shadow=brown,left,300][glow=blue,2,300]"Ish nuu."[/glow][/shadow]
Flipping to the one (if memory served him well) called 'Ziare', not even giving Sai a chance to cast a spell, he could not help but give aid. He was damned useless.. might as well do something, right?
"Bless thee. Endureth further, firmament und Oceanus."
[shadow=brown,left,300][glow=blue,2,300]"..Ish nuu."[/glow][/shadow]
Water rushed over their bodies, nourishing them, increasing their speed, as Hakfu sighed to himself, Sai wobbling a little itself. Too much energy was being spent.. no, there was still much to give, dammit! In futilety, he raised his ceremonial fan to Junpei, as he walked to the Priest.
"You too, dammit! "Bless thee. Endureth further, firmament und Oceanus."
[shadow=brown,left,300][glow=blue,2,300]"Ish-.."[/glow][/shadow]
"For God's sake, faster!"
Pointing his fan next to the Priest.
""Strengthos ithos oceanus granthos!" "Strengthos ithos oceanus granthos!" "Strengthos ithos oceanus granthos!" "Bless thee! Endureth further, firmament und Oceanus!""
He began casting spells on everyone, whirling around his fan, the wrinkles above his brows increasing.. Dammit... Dammit... Dammit! Sai was breathing heavily now, but Hakfu paid no heed..
[shadow=brown,left,300][glow=blue,2,300]"Ish.. Ish.. Ish nuu.."[/glow][/shadow]
Jyo Mashima, The Priest, Talbot Linsorim, Ziare, Baalthasaar, and a few of the surrounding soldiers have been granted "Touch of Water"! +1 Strength!
Jyo Mashima, Junpei, Ziare, Baalthasaar, Talbot Linsorim, and a few of the surrounding soldiers have been granted "Oceanic Blessing"! +1 Dexterity!
Sai's energy is dropping dangerously!
Hakfu's energy and soul energy (due in part to his increasing frustrations) is dropping dangerously!
