Byron sat quietly to himself as he thought about todays class....and in general thought of all the events. It seemed that missions were getting more and more common now...as if something is wrong with the world. This isn't right of course.....for the world does not need this. Regardless, today's lesson was to teach a common technique to the students so that they don't perish in three seconds. The technique was known as Rejection, and would serve valuable throughout their life time. Hell, it didn't even matter how smart they are and stuff, you could perform this spell without any real mastery......
It was basically creating a small anti-magic field around your self to reject outside influences.....meaning this is quite useful in the future. Of course, it only rejects magic that tries to pull something out of you....thus rejecting the advance. A psychic would still have the power to lift you up and throw you around and such, but not pull out your heart....unless you were a weakling and the psychic was like a master..... But yea....the Rejection Technique, it was also known as the Internal Shield....
Regardless, Byron just leaned against his desk, waiting to start today's lesson.....

Rejection? Well I should really be learning that. And now that there is someone actualy taching it I can learn it correctly. Jyo thought as he looked through the optional classes. He had read of this technique but had not run across anything that showed how to use it or described the basics. If he went here and learned it he could have a serious edge with his own styling in this world.
He made his way to the classroom and then saw the teacher. He gave a polite half bow. "Hello sir." He said walking in seeing he was the first one there This time. He walked over and took a seat then pulled out stuff for taking notes as he knew thos man had alot to teach him.

Eldran had only really read about this technique before and knew some of them, like anti-mind attacks had to be learned.
He grinned inwardly at the challenges of learning this new technique. I suppose some techniques do have to be learned and this one sounds like a challenge to figure out how to do.
He saw Jyo in the room, grinned, nodded at him, and took a random seat in the room, somewhere towards the front. His note taking materials pratically leapt from his bookbag to his desk. He pushed his glasses onto his face to settle them there and leaned forward to get comfortable. Like any person who liked knowledge, he could get comfortable in lectures.

Byron just looked at the class....a smile on his face as he stood up as usual, looking over his classroom with his bright eyes. His hands stood freely at his side as he soon closed the door to his class, seeing that everyone is here. Now he could begin today's lesson. Quickly he told the students to please be quiet and began his lecture today, telling them of a useful technique they need to learn....
"As you all know class, today...I will be teaching you the technique known as Rejection"
With that, he paused, smiling gently at the students while he got out some charts and pictures, showing the technique and history of it.
"You see.... long ago, mages would often do things like pull out water from a enemy body, pull out iron, and basically use their manipulation of element to pull things out of people. This was a very powerful technique, and mages started to use it for war and such.... The powerful ones anyway. However, this all changed when a mage, who is nameless, developed a counter technique. By using energy to create a small internal shield, one could be protected from any internal attacks. From Water users pulling out 70% of our bodies to Metal Users pulling out iron out of our blood stream. While useful....these shields can be broken if the enemy is a very powerful mage who is levels above you or if one lets it down..... Indeed, today, we call the shield technique part of a Branch of magic called Rejection, with the shield being the first spell"
With that, he paused, looking down upon the students as they listened to the teacher speak. The technique he was teaching them was staple around all of the Academy as a precuation..... "However, it has be proven that mages that cast the internal shield on themselves are the only ones able to freely access their body. Look at Mr. Thantos for example....he has the ability to both create a internal shield and call out Iron in his body to manipulate......"
"However though, these shields do not work from external attacks, as the magic used for this spell only defends from attacks specifically attacking the internal. Also, it doesn't work if a external thing enters your body....like if a psychic slips in your body some item, that psychic can move it around and screw you up...."

Nina stretched and yawned as she entered the classroom, the lesson had begun, she just yawned and waved hello to the teacher, taking a seat at the back of the room. She'd heard the last part and spoke out. "Wouldn't there be a variation to the spell to keep foreign objects out as well?" She asked taking out a binder, and a pencil, knowing she would doodle more then take notes.

Eldran was eagerly listening, absorbing what he was hearing, and writing it down for later.
Interesting, so the use of this magic branch basically involves cutting off the connection between the user, the magic and the element they are controlling within your body.
He thought on this subject some more.
But it cannot stop someone from, say shoving a sword or shooting a bullet into you..
He made a mental and written note to begin research on this branch of magics immediately so that he would be able to use them should he have need of them or at least understand them some more.

Mikon was sitting on her shoulder, listening with his little furry head tilted far to the side as Talbot scribbled a few words down. She was a little tired from all the happenings and the long hours of lack of sleep. This class was her break from training, she needed to sit still and focus on someone else's words and teachers for she feared if she didn't take these breaks every now and again she was certain to have anervous breakdown of some sort and what good would that haave done anyone?
Talbot looked up for a moment as Mikon chittered a question to her and she asked for the elemental mouse, "Adding onto that question: If you can use a variation of the spell to keep objects out what about maintaining both a shield and the rejection spell at the same time?"

Eldran tapped a pencil to his forehead and pushed his glasses onto his face as he thought about Talbot's question for a moment and then decided to speak up.
"In theory, yes, from what I've read, it should be possible. Both fall under the branch of Abjuration , or Protective magics, as they're more commonly known, though this could be subcategorized as partialy Chi as well, because it is an internally used magical effect."
He paused for a moment while he thought on another point. "The destabilizing factor would be the concentration and mana usage required to maintain both such protective magics. You'd be concentrating both in the same branch of magic, which would make it slightly easier based on gradual or innate attunement, whichever one you happen to get or have. But you'd have to empower both magics at the same time, spreading your resources more."
He paused for a breath and then sat, thinking some more on the subject.

"Indeed, that is another form of Rejection, known as the external shield. It is a bit more advance, but it is equally useful. However, it can, like the internal shield, be broken. So be weary when you need to use the shield, for it requires a good deal of energy to maintain, especially against powerful attacks"
With that, Byron looked at the class and smiled. With that, he snapped his fingers and quickly the desk moved to the side and corner, obviously they were enchanted to respond to his finger snap. But anyways, the kind professor quietly moved toward the now, hopefully, standing class.....staring at them with his kind and compassionate eyes. Meanwhile, some senior students walked in....obviously at the call of the Teacher.
"Talking about a technique isn't just going to make you learn it. Everyone, please get ready, for now I am going to teach you it. Of course, it's now that hard really. All you have to do is concentrate upon your body and imagine a shield around it, or focus on repelling a external influence. If you think you've got it down, please move toward these students here. You see, these guys are High Wizard rank students, who know how to drag out things out of your body, but are not so powerful they'd sweep away your shield. So please, get in front of the, and be prepared to test out your rejection or internal shield....... If anything were to happen, I'll be here ready to heal you"
With that, he moved back, his face bearing a calm smile as he leaned up against the desk. He did feel bad about not explaining the rejection or internal shield better, but hey....Even a regular person off the side of the street in some human city should be able to do this easily.....It's just that they're, well....too weak to not actually defend against a true mage internal strike. Oh well, these guys here were very prominent Academy students, and would be able to resist such things. Looking over, he stared at the new students. Each of them had a specialty when it came to elements, and as such they knew how to drag out things. Be it water, metal, bones, they knew how to do it. Now it was left to the Spell caster to try and fight off their invasion of the body.....

Nina almost twitched as she just shook her head, hands on. Great. Standing she stepped infront of a student giving a cold glare, she thought of the hardest things she could think of. Deciding on diamonds, she was settled and set up a shield. Nothing gets past. No one gets in. Nothing gets out. She thought and repeated it in her mind, now all she had to do was hope it stuck. "Any time is good."

Eldran quietly got up after he set down his pencil, and took off his glasses and set them on his desk. He steadied his inner magic and quieted it. Now was not the time for his own magic to go out of control.
He went to the front of the room, where it had been cleared away for the spell technique to be demonstrated, and then he focused, drawing energy like a shell, focusing it on keeping his body's elemental in. He focused the magic on the concept, the very idea of defying, of not letting his elemental parts being drawn out of his body, and channeled mana into that thought. He felt energy 'surge' through that thought and into his body.
"I'm ready."

With that a senior student saw him and moved toward the kid, cracking his knuckles as he smiled at him. Quickly he raised his arms up, and asked if he was ready? If he was, the student would not begin to try and pull out the water in his body, making sure he doesn't kill the kid but just hurt him a bit if he fails....It was kinda mean to force him to do this...but it is the only way he'd learn how to reject external influences.....

Eldran grinned in anticipation of learning, but not in smugness. If his previous experience as being only able to learn the basics had taught him one thing, it had taught him how to get techniques and spells down from listening. Even if he hadn't been able to get them at a decent enough level of power in the past, now was different. With the eruption of his own magic now in the past, personal mana reserves to fuel that magic had come with it, and they were very considerable for an apprentice.
He nodded at the other student as he steadied the technique and focused his mana into it as the shield came into being with slight surge he felt. He knew the other student could likely overpower this technique he was just learning. He grinned inwardly; he'd just have to practice it.
"Just please don't overdo it."
If the older student over did it, his magic might react on instinct.

His head finally slipped off of his hand and smacked against the table he had been leaning on, this caused him to jolt awake and then look ahead to the rest of the class-room realizing that class had actually began once more. With that his hands shot up to his eyes and rubbed into them trying to get woken up so he could catch up to the rest of the people in the room.. he had heard something about Rejection.. and some crap about having stuff pulled out of your body like water and iron.. but that was about as much as he got before he had finally actually drifted off in difference to what he did himself.
"Rejection?..."
He didnt know what to ask, instead, just moved a little closer after getting out of his seat and settled in so he could listen to what they were doing.

OOC: Yeah, this post sucks...
Kicking his legs up on the desk in front of him, which just happened to be empy that day, Ghiste let out a yawn stretching out his arms. Sure, he was listening to what was going on, but magic was just something that didn't interest him. He only went to this school for one reason after all. Putting his hands behind the back of his head, he let his blue eyes just soak in what was going on, as he would only do what was needed if he was called on. To be quite honest, all of this just seemed like something Ghiste could do already, after all, Ghiste has noticed he was pretty damned good at manipulating his own body to do c-razy things! The seconds ticked away as the teacher taught, he was talking about how it could protect people from manipulating stuff from inside your bodies, but then spoke on how it could still be done anyways if thet were strong enough. Just hearing that made Ghiste think of it as being worthless.
"The only thing I want to reject is the sound of your voice...
The thought ran across Ghiste's mind as he just waited for the lesson to be over. Ghiste wasn't even sure if he would be able to do this, he knew he could probably do stuff like it, but magic and Ghiste didn't get together very well. It was just sort of random, Ghiste really would fair off better not having any magic, which is what he was hoping for, but we get unlucky sometimes right!? The class continued, Ghiste was bored, and god damn it, Ghiste couldn't wait for it to end!
