The older student pulled on Eldran....trying to move around the water in his body....
Meanwhile, Byron looked on at two students who seemed to not get involved with the class. He read that these two had little to no talent in magic. Such a shame, for they seemed to be great warriors the Academy could use. However, he supposed that they could avoid these internal pulling by simply dodging the control attempt....which seemed to be a lot harder then learning this. But Byron supposed to them, dodging was easier then learning this. Feeling that things should come to a end, he stared up at the clock, watching as the hand almost reached the end of class time. Soon, he'd have to dismiss them....but felt a bit sad he couldn't teach those two boys how to defend themselves in a easier manner...
But hey, Byron could only show them the way....they needed to take it upon themselves to learn this....

OOC: Not active? Sheesh sorry I have this thing called a life ;D
Jyo was paired up with another student. He had payed rapt attention to what had been said and then decided to practice. Well I can shield physical objects. I guess this shouldn't be too awful different. He thought. He focused and remembered what he had been told to do and followed said instructions. The other student could do anything to Jyo. it seemed as though Jyo had the hang of it already. he gave a small smile at having something new he could do.

(( OOC: Well pardon me for daring to be alive with those of the unwired world. ^.~ ))
Mikon chittered and stayed on her shoulder as Talbot moved only so far foreward. Like hell she was shy, she simply had no real use for rejection beyond the chance of being able to keep herself completely safe on her own. Reguardless she did as instructed though she found it silly- she barely responded to any pestering she had to deal with- heck even Mikon was copying what she was doing.

"Hm.. these are worthless to me.. but I guess its better to learn about it anyways.. even if my blade sucks up all the energy I have, these can prove useful for knowing what I gotta go up against."
He had said all of it to himself, but it would do no good for him to sit here and watch at how to perform that technique. Instead he just folded his arms infront of where he was sitting now and listened instead of bothering to volunteer. Those eyes watching the movements and the concentration, but not doing much of anything.

OOC: When did you'll having lives getting into this? Wasn't it obvious he was referring to Scith and me?
Kicking his feet off from the desk Ghiste stood up putting his hands down into the pockets of jeans before giving a weak sigh then deciding he would give it a shot. He already understood how this rejection thing worked, and it seemed really familiar to his other techniques. First, to test his 'concentration' abilities, he thought about flames, having his right hand out, and then instantly fire began to a small form of fire began to form into the palm of his hand. This wasn't really him making a fire ball or anything, the fire pretty much was PART of his hand. Though he really didn't like using magic, he just wanted to get this lesson over with, get what he needed done, and then leave it all to do something else. As you can tell, Ghiste was already so used to using these 'concentration' abilities it wouldn't take him long to learn it.
"A sheild...? Hmm...
Ghiste kept his eyes opened as his head began to wonder picturing the shield, nothing happened. He continued to think...
Nothing...
Seconds went by as Ghiste continued to think about this stupid shield that he had to picture! Why the hell couldn't he picture it!? My god why was it so hard!?
Nothing...
Minutes went by!
NOTHING!
Five minutes...
Something!
Soon he could actually picture a shield like thing outside of him, of course invisible to everyone else, he just had this gut feeling that this had to be it. The shield he pictured was purple, and it looked like something he watched on a cartoon down in 'the real world'. It was pretty cool, but anyways, he had to make sure that this was the right thing.
"Damn it, feels just like my other magic, the exact same thing, just in a different form...
Walking up to the students who did that 'manipulate the water using the force!' thing, Ghiste waited for them not saying a word, and just giving a nod to say he ready non verbally.
The purple like shield for him began to form around him, and he just sort of stared off into space. Remember, the shield was imaginary, Ghiste was just a REALLY visual person! Lets hope that he had it right!

(I joined this board late. Please let me be in this thread >.<)
Darah sat at the back of the class as the teacher droned on and on about rejection. It seemed like a good spell. Unlike other mages, Darah didn't focus so much into spells and put more effort into physical damage and defenses. She didn't even have any defense against spells save hexing her opponents, changing them into animals before their spells came into effect.
"Any idea what he's trying to say?" Darah asked her pet basilisk in the form of a basilisk lizard. Her son, Gekko was lying on her desk as Darah gently trailed her claws across the lizard's back. Gekko looked back at her with a questioning look and gently cried, "Mama." The only human words that Gekko knew to express his affections.
"Shhh..." Darah hushed her child as she continued scratching him. She simply wasn't smart enough to understand such a spell. Instead, she took down everything the teacher said by jotting them down as notes on the small ringed notepad in front of her. Perhaps she can check with her other classmates or ask the teacher again later.

OOC: Are we still allowed to join?
Sitting at her seat in the back row, Minji listened to the teacher intently, a little confused at what he was getting at, at first, but understood what Rejection was for later on. Unlike her two best friends, Minji was one that had magic inside her - a mixture of Shadow and Darkness manipulation, thanks to her parents. She watched as other students in the class began to try how to put up the Rejection shield, some successful, others not, and some still trying. So then it came down to Minji - should she try, or just not participate in class? She wasn't particularly interested, really, but this could be useful later on in life, and anything useful in life later on, well, Minji would give it a shot. She had a feeling the first time she wouldn't be successful, like others, since she wasn't perfect, but hey, she could always try?
Focus.
Minji's eyes closed by themselves, her back leaning against her chair, her body completely relaxed as she focused putting a reflecting like magical barrier around her body. Her hands were placed neatly on the table in front of her, her face completely relaxed, the purple bangs falling over her face and partially covering her eyes. There was too much sound in the room, it was hard to completely focus on making a barrier for her so her innards wouldn't get pulled out, but in a real fight, she knew there would be much more sound, and it would be harder for her to focus. Thus, the reason why she kept trying after minutes past.
Block out the sound and focus....
Another minute past, then another, and another. Minji didn't feel different, nor did she think she was doing anything correctly, until a little spark opened up inside her. A black like glow outlining her body, very thin at first, barely visible, but as more time past, the outlining black glow began to grow thicker and thicker. Her eyes were still closed, her mind still focused, her mind blocking out all the other sound going around in the classroom. Some turned to look at her, others just moved on and continued trying themselves. Shooting open her eyes, almost instantly, the black like glow disappeared - her eyes were a pitch black color, which was odd because her eyes were normally dark brown, but she noticed every time she used her magic, her eyes would turn black. Not even the white outlining would be there - just pitch black. And slowly, her eyes returned to color, and Minji sat there, completely oblivious of how she did that in the first place, or if she even did it correctly.

Nina had thought she had it, but nothing felt differant, and she began to be frustrated, and a small fire started on the desk next to her. "Sorry..." She put it out quickly, and tried to think of what kept her safe, what pushed everything out and kept her in. Anger. It came simply, like a bath of warmth, a blanket over her. There it is. She stepped up to one of the older students, if she had this wrong it was going to be painful she knew that, she just hoped they didn't push her too hard...

OoC: Yea...but it's ending now =P
Byron stared at the students with a smile, knowing that they all did their roles and learned the spell quite well. Aside from a few outliers, the class was doing pretty good. And as such he marked them down as well. Soon, the bell rung, and with it the students of the Senior classes left, leaving the students and teacher alone. Quickly Byron moved toward his desk and started to organized papers, staring at the class as he told him to go...
"Quite well you all" he said kindly, his voice calm and relaxed. "We will resume tomorrow, please enjoy your afternoon off today"
