"Woah, heavy! HEAVY!"
Stumbling along the hallways of Arcane Academy, UC was going around holding about twenty books stacked up in his hands. He was moving around awkwardly having his head peeking in through the side to see where he was going. Trying to make sure the books kept balanced he would move around awkwardly so it would have an equal amount of force to it. Still, it was heavy to carry. Luckily, with classes in sessions, UC was the only one out there trying to get his books over to his class. He checked every door number he went by because he already forgot the location of the room he was supposed to go to. Sure, UC was smart, but that didn't mean he could remember everything now could he?
TRASH CAN!
"Nooooooooooooooo!"
Tripping over the knocked over trash can, the books began to collapse to the floor with UC following straight after as he collided hard with the ground. The books covered over him as he looked past to see that his class room was only three doors away, and then he gave a moan as he would now need to get up and pick all the books. Well, at least that was what any good teacher who was to follow the rules would do, but who said that UC was a rule follower hm?
In the classroom the majority of students were in their desks staring a dog who was sitting on the teacher desk with it's head cocked over to the side. People actually expected that this dog would be there teacher, and talking was beginning to fill the classroom. The dog just stared as it remained silent hiding itself from emotions as it looked as if it was waiting for something. Tension began to build in the impatient class room as the voices began to raise more, that was when the dogs mouth open. Some people spotted it and gasped as others just stared in anticipation of something wise. The dog yawned then licked its chops then went back to staring at the crowd like it was before.
Oh how good a sight this would be if it was an anime T.V. show!
Then again... maybe the desks remaining on all four legs would be for the best...
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
The majority of the student's head now turned to the door as the knocking continued. Finally the door flew open as a bunch of books being lined up one by one began to float into the room going over to the desk the dog was on. The dog lazily got off the desk moving to the corner closer to the desk as the books began to neatly stack on it, and after around twenty went in, what looked to be some average student walked in after placing them all on the desk. He was moving his hands commanding the books to go down, and finally they were all in place.
"Excuse me for my tardiness folks, I had to get our text books. If you would all please form a line, and get them, I assume there is enough for all of you, please, keep this orderly."
Most students would probably be struck in awe that looked to be probably around sixteen years old was commanding them to do stuff. Still, UC was actually twenty-one, he looked good for his age didn't he!?
The main reason he looked young was because he had long brown hair that you would see from those rock obsessed fans that use drugs occasionally. Well, stereo typing UC was bad, after all, he only acted like that outside of class!
UC moved over to his dog, Elvis, and gave it a pat on the head before looking back at the class to make sure every thing was going well. UC decided he would make the introductions once they got their text books and they had every thing settled.
Class was in session!

Talbot sighed softly, fanning through the pages of the book she retrieved as Mikon and Zula squabbled on her lap. Seperating them had done no good- so hopefully they'd eventually fall asleep or something. It was bad enough having to keep Mikon from trying to play with the dog, if not for the fact of bringing Zula with her Mikon would be more of a pain than ever. She could have sworn the little pain had an obsession with bigger animals that could eat him alive.
Zula began shrilly crying as Mikon pushed the little elemental baby off Talbot's lap, Talbot caught Zula and put her in the pocket in her sleeve, "Naptime." Zula whined but obeyed, curling up into a little ball and fslling asleep, after all Zula WAS a baby. Mikon, however, wasn't so eaisily wrangled- Talbot pulled a huge chunk of candy out of her pocket, set it on her desk, "Go on and eat."
Mikon fluttered from lap to desktop and began working on the candy, Talbot leaned back and continued flipping through the book.

Hrolf was seated in the back corner of the room silently thinking about how irresponsible their teacher must be, for such tardiness. While everyone was worrying about the dog on the desk, Hrolf was thinking about what he would learn in class. The class was steadily getting louder as time went on, while Hrolf steadily became more annoyed with the other students and their idle talk about absolutely nothing of importance.
Finally, the noise of insecent talk was broken by the knocking on the door of the classroom. When the door opened, Hrolf was, of course, expecting a person to enter through the thresh hold of the door. When books began floating in the class and placing themselves on the desk, Hrolf was happily surprised. "Maybe this teacher is not as worthless as I had imagined." When the mage that was controlling the books finally entered, Hrolf was more than a little surprised by the appearance of the kid. Then again, that would explain his irresponsibility, and his tardiness.
Once the order had been given to retrieve a book, Hrolf slowly got up from his desk and became part of the line. Idle chatter was still going on all about him as he was in line, Hrolf's annoyance at the whole situation became much greater having to be in line with a bunch of fools, talking of unimportant issues, when they were in a class to be learning something. Eventually, Hrolf got his book, it seemed like he had been waiting in that line for an eternity. After Hrolf got back to his desk in the back of the room, he began scanning through the book, curious of the contents of it. He read mindlessly waiting for the instructor to do his job, instruct, if he was even capable of doing so.

Veyugan's back was against the back wall of the room, the desk closest to the door. His body was slouched, and his legs were spread out far in front of him. The belt around his knees was tightly stretched, and he let his legs create tension upon the belt. A pair of arms lay in front of him lazily, clasped together loosely. Crimson-tinted orbs were fixated upon the animal that was seated upon the desk. The image of the dog reflected back into his mind as he watched it yawn. 'Hmm. Looks like the students aren't the only ones getting impatient.' A knock sounded at the door, and Veyugan shot up wearily. His body was tired, aching from moving to and from classes. In his old school, down in Yokohoma, the school building was tiny and tall. There were only about 15 classrooms per floor, and the age groups were sectioned off for certain floors. That didn't matter now, as he wasn't in Japan. He was in this floating island. He had to cope, and he would.
The crimson tinted eyes fixated upon the body of another student ... or was it? The boy sure did look younger than Veyugan - but was he? The things he was doing sure as hell didn't look like something a younger person could accomplish ... but maybe he could? Well, however old he was, when he walked into the classroom, the dog-teacher responded. 'So this must be our teacher...' Veyugan thought almost at the same time the man-boy said the word students. That word confirmed Veyugan's thinking. This guy was the teacher. A smile crept upon Veyugan's lips as he rose steadily, and crept toward the back of the line. Patiently, he awaited his turn to retrieve a book, and once he did - he returned to his seat, ready to begin 'How To Compress Your Energy.' Or ... whatever the class was called on the schedule.
Once more, Veyugan's body slouched downward as the orbs fixated within his eye sockets began to scan the class room. At a rough estimate, there were about 20 or so students occupying the classroom at this time. Give or take a few that might have not shown by now, or ones that would be tardy - but this looked like this would be one of Veyugan's classes. He let out a mental sigh as his eyes drifted upon a mouse ... a mouse with wings?! That was a strange sight to see, but nevertheless - he was interested. He didn't say anything to the woman who seemed to be the owner of such a mystery pet, but he did eye her curiously. He didn't know why, but she struck curiosity within Veyugan. A want to get to know her, or to know how she acquired such a mouse. Maybe he wanted one for himself? Now, he sat back fingering the edges of his book, waiting for class to begin ...

Pesmerga was flying through the halls as an owl trying to find somewhere to register when he saw a man trip over a can and drop his books. He laughed to himself but also felt bad for him. He began to follow him a few feet back. He was heading to a classroom with a bunch of textbooks, he was either the teacher, or the brown nosing teachers pet. Pesmerga was curious as to what the class would be on so he decided to join them. As the man got through the door he tried to follow close and swoop in before it closed. Was that door fast to close though, and right when he was about to make it.... SLAM, right into the window Pesmerga went before sliding to the ground.
"HOOT, that motherfu...HOOT!"
Pesmerga shook it off and quickly turned into a gecko and charged under the door. He was looking for a chair when he noticed people racing for books. Six students almost stepped on him and Pesmerga wanted to turn them into flies and eat them, but he resisted. One student dropped his book almost on Pesmerga so he decided to take it. Using his magic he shrank the book down and carried it by his tongue to the back of the class. When he arrived in the corner he quickly shifted to his human form and enlarged the book. He was curious as to what they would be teaching and wasn't entirely sure if it could help him but he would stay regardless. To make sure he caught every word the teacher spoke he turned his ears into those of a bat increasing his hearing exponentially.

A white-haired mage had been sitting somewhere at the back then entire time as chatters belonging to the students around her continued, getting increasingly louder and louder every second. Irritating, but she can't say she's not used to it by now. This is an academy, an education for magic users. Anyway, she had stayed seated there, unmoving, her expression the same emotionless one as usual while her dull, empty eyes wandered across the room slowly, yet her head remained unmoving.
She took note of who's here and who's not. She recognized the young lady who she had seen at the battle with those beasts, yet she can't say she caught her name. The rest of the class? Well, she can't quite recognize them, but then again, she's not one who knows much people or even socialize with them, so it's not much of a surprise.
Soon, her gaze fell upon an ... owl?! She raised a brow mentally as she stared at the creature before it disappeared under the desks. She glanced downwards, noticing a gecko. First an owl, then a gecko? Either that's shapeshifting magic or there's something wrong with this question. In the meantime, the teacher entered after floating books. She was rather surprise by his appearance, but did not show it at all. Her gaze soon fell back onto the floor, trying to locate the gecko but failed to do so due to everyone standing up and lining up for the textbook.
Sighing mentally, she herself stood up and headed to the front of the classroom for her textbook. After getting one, she examined the cover before returning back to her seat. As she returned, she noticed someone new. She could have swore she didn't see him before. He wad that same individual from the battle and the recovery wing. The winking crow. So he's here as well. Interesting.
At any rate, after taking her seat once more, she directed her attention back towards the book. She didn't bother opening it yet, or reading it like a few students did. Instead, she placed it gently on her desk and looked at the cover, taking in its detailed background before returning her attention back towards the front of the class, waiting for the teacher to start the class patiently. All the while, she remained silent, her expression never changing.

Pesmerga stood at the rear of the room glancing over everyone else there. A few of the people there he had seen before but most of them were new faces. He opened the book and read through it committing it all to his memory before handing the book off to someone else. He only need to read a book once to have it all saved in his head word for word. He noticed a girl looking at him, he had seen her at the recent battle and in the recovery wing. As she looked at him a gave her a wink and went to making something out of paper. He made a small flower, a daisy. He flicked it through the air and it landed on the girls desk and when it did he turned it into a real flower in a poof of black smoke.
The more he practiced manipulating things on the molecular level the better he got at it. For now though he could only do so much with it but he knew what potential it had. He was hoping the class would start soon so he could put the information from the book into practice.

Eldran had been looking through a list of notes on other classes. His somewhat carefully kept appearance was ironic to what was going on inside his mind.
Okay, so if you combine black mandrogora with white mandragora, you should in theory get a aphrodesiac-like potion with similar effects to a love potion. Combined with a charm spell enchantment, all but the most powerful wills can resist it. Adding copper, myrtle, and turquoise only strengthens the mix. Though, they're not necessary.
He turned to another page of notes, this one on a basic precept on wordology. Wordology is based on the concept of emobodying the power into a phrase. The words or phrase carry the will and power unto themselves, carrying the sense of the events to be unleashed into reality, thereby making them happening.
He snapped his notes shut when he saw the teacher enter the room and straightened his glasses out on his face and grinned widely as he looked around. This was certainly an assortment of some new faces in the Academy, and a new teacher as well. Not that it mattered. Lessons were lessons. Knowledge was always fun to learn - as long as he didn't have any accidents happen to him during them.

Not Late For Class?! A Miracle!
Triumphantly, he sat down in the classroom, one of the first people arriving. He fettered through his notes, as strange things began to enter the room. Hearing a bark however, he looked up, and saw a dog sitting on top of the desk.
".. Please don't tell me.."
He looked from left to right, and leaned back in his desk.
"..That our teacher is going to be a dog, teaching us about Energy Compression now?"
Twitch.
Sigh. Hakfu waited around, seeing the dog opening and closing its mouth. Students began taking seats, like this girl with a flying mouse and a baby mouse.. and a large, scary looking person, who was either in their twenties or thirties.. despite Hakfu's own senority over some in the class, he didn't want to brag about it, and then get shot down by someone three times younger then him. He had come to expect something like that, in truth.
The dog kept yawning..
A girl with white hair sat away far from him. Another studious person such as himself, sat on the otherside, going through his own notes. The only normal looking person in here looked to be older then him, and perhaps, Scandanavian or something.
"Nooooooooooooooo!"
.. What the hell was that? It was soon followed by a crash. The door burst open, followed by an owl appearing out of nowhere, before turning into a man who flipped with ease through his book. The young man at the head of the class, however cleared his throat.
"Excuse me for my tardiness folks, I had to get our text books. If you would all please form a line, and get them, I assume there is enough for all of you, please, keep this orderly."
Ah, the student aide!
Standing up, he went up to the front, and got his text book, but, before returning to his seat, he looked over at the young man again.
"You don't need to worry about being tardy, the teacher hasn't arrived yet. But, as a student aide, could you tell me where he is? We've been gawking at that dog all day."
He motioned to the dog with his eyes, making two flicks with it. But, inbetween, he saw the mark of a teacher. Bowing repeatedly, he walked, embarressed back to his seat. Going through the pages, he began to read silently to himself.
"To compress one's energy, imagine a ball. Now, imagine a flow of energy coming through and out of that ball. Now, imagine that ball to be your epicenter, of your chest. In the same way you would focus energy into your words, arms, legs, fingers, or regarding whatever spell type you use, concentrate your.."

Like a couple of other students, Minji was seated in the back of the room near a window, waiting patiently for their teacher to come in and teach them something; her elbow rested against the desk, her head upon her hand, her emotionless gaze staring out the window to the plain fields outside. Her dark brown orbs lacking expression, along with her face, her deep violet bangs fell gently across her face, covering her eyes partially. Continuous chatter was going amonst the other children in class, although, Minji was already zoning them out. Something almost caught her attention though - for a moment, Minji thought she heard an owl in the room, but she didn't bother looking around, because honestly she didn't really care; actually, she didn't care at all. Just the fact that an owl was in a classroom surprised her a bit, but after a second thought, she decided it was normal. Besides - this was a school for magic. Perhaps he was a shapshifter of some sort?
Three knocks, and Minji's attention was caught. The first thing that came into mind was that the teacher had arrived, and they would begin class. Her eyes were directed towards the door, her head only turning halfway so she could get a better view, however, it looked as if a child no much more older then herself had entered the room, along with many books and a dog. She couldn't help but jump to conclusions, but eventually, she decided that this was their teacher - he just looked incredibly young? Or perhaps he was an illusionist? Making it seem he looked younger, but really he looked like an eighty year old man? Either way, Minji had a look of no interest, but merely stood up and walked over to retrieve a book for herself.
Holding the rectangular book in her hands, she walked patiently back to her seat, reading the title of the book before moving on to skim through the pages. Her slender fingers got a hold of each page, turning them swiftly and quietly and in a somewhat like a beat. Flip, flip, flip. Her dark brown eyes did not acquire too much information, since it was just a two second skim, but she was sure that the teacher would tell them what to do, right? It's not like this teacher would tell them to read the whole book to read it, then figure it out for themselves, because then what kind of a teacher would he be? Her back leaned against her chair, continuing to flip through the pages of the text book, her face showing no interest at all, as always.

Two years. That is how long Darah has been living on the floating island of Arcane Academy ever since Aceh went under the waves and her entire clan was decimated. She has attended many classes over the two years however, never once did she really understand what the teacher was trying to say at the front of the class. Unlike her other fellow classmates, she simply was smart enough to comprehend the words that the teachers keep blabbing. She was still young, the youngest in the class most likely. Regardless, she kept attending her classes, trying to pick up at least one more spell which could help her out when in times of trouble.
Darah was seated at one of the desks at the back of the class. She didn't want to socialize with anyone and she knew that those people who joined her there at the back are the quiet and silent bunch. Not many liked to come near her for the way she looked anyways. She liked the quiet and silent type of people, not the loud people at the front of the class who kept raising their hands and asking the teacher questions constantly. Today, Darah was garbbed in a brown cloak which had a hood. This hood Darah had over her head to cover her horns and most of her pale green skin, revealing only her thin dark purple lips and minty colored chin. On her lap was her son whom she scratched his scaly belly which he enjoyed her doing ever so much.
There was a slight difference in today's class. It seems that the person who is sitting at the teacher's desk was well... it isn't human, that is for sure. Sitting at the desk was a dog. Strange... but it could just be one of those mages who can change their shape to their liking. Darah isn't sure what those mages are called. As said before, she isn't one of the smarties of the class. Maybe he got hexed... Darah thought. She had a hex spell to turn people into creatures and she commonly changes many of her training ground opponents into dogs. She was about to ask the furry creature at the front of the class to begin the lesson when there were raps on the door.
Without moving her head, Darah focused her eyes onto the door of the class. Books began to fly in and arrange themselves neatly at the table. Unlike others who would be thinking: "Oh my god! The books!!! How are these books flying in?!", this was Darah's thought. Oh my god! The books!!! Are we supposed to use those things today? They are soooo thick! Following behind the books was someone who looked rather young. The dog at the table got off and the young ma took his place. Oh, so he must be the teacher and the dog really was just a dog.
The teacher asked the students to line-up and collect their textbooks. Darah's head cursed. She could barely read this language known as English although she could speak it. Why couldn't Indonesian be an international language? Darah got off her seat and joined the line to collect the text books, her bare feet shuffling against the floor. She carried her son with her in her arms and picked up one of the textbooks with her claws before making her way back to the seat. This teacher can't be an experienced one from his age. Also, Darah thought of him as incompetent because he needed a textbook just to explain his teachings.

...Holy Mother of God...
Twitch.
His head slammed into his book once. Just to see if the teacher would notice. Raising it up, he saw no reaction.
Twitch.
Hakfu's hand raised quietly into the air. The teacher didn't call on him, seemingly busy collecting himself. This had been bothersome. They had been staying here for hours, but it felt more as if it were days, or even weeks.. (OOC: Hint, hint.) Hand still raised in the air, he sighed, audibly.
"Sir... are we going to be reading the books until we memorize it, or are you going to teach us how to compress our energy, or what exactly it is we're supposed to be learning?"
Looking around, he saw the others, also somewhat bored, half-reading their books, half sleeping with their eyes open, staring at the front of the room. This was... an atrocity of a classroom. Students weren't learning! What the hell were they paying this guy for!? Confusion was in the room, along with much other feelings of severe boredom, which Hakfu feared would turn into a permanent-damaging stroke, if not cured. Eyebrows twitching, he shook his head, his hand still raised.
"It'd be safe to say... that majority of us don't know what the damned book you've given us is saying, due to is complexities. As a teacher, is it not your duty to teach us? Come now! Your dog is more entertaining! I've already counted him licking his own nose for four-hundred and thirty-seven times! For the love of God, man, DO YOUR JOB!"
Shuddering at his own disgust, he sat down, and closed his book, his arms wrapping around himself. Cold here... someone needed to turn on the heater.
OOC: Don't take this post seriously. Just a reminder to the higher-ups.
