Even though, he was not technically, a true teacher in the academy, in that he only taught there as means of paying back certain people, he did find himself quite enjoying the combat techniques that he had developed in certain points for this class, as well as the ones that seemed to be brought to him by the students that had already been in his class before. It wasnt a matter of daring to teach certain things, it was the fact that he knew from experience that many people were involved with things in terms of death and the destruction over time. Because of this he found it more.. fun to say the least to try and get people to learn of the many different sorts of magic and combat that were out and about.
"Hmm.. I guess the question is, how many will even show up."
Of course, in question, many techniques that were allowed in the realms of magic and mayhem, were not available to just any human, in the same aspect, that one who was not in peak shape could not every expect to reach the highest levels of many martial arts. ( Even if this was not always the case. ) With magic, many things are opened to use and due to the age of his demonic side, he had been around to see quite a few examples of it, while not nearing the sickening aging disease as many pure breeds would experience.

It seemed like a fine day for some education. Darah had woken up to a sunny morning. She did not receive glares or stares from anyone while in the cafeteria nor on the way to class. Yeah, it was a strangely better than usual day. Darah wondered if this meant that her class of the day would turn out good as well. Even though most of the time (if not all of the time) Darah didn't understand what the teacher was blabbering away at the front of the class, she still attended them regularly. Mostly due to the fact that other than attending her classes, the young fourteen year old half-demon had nothing better to do other than begging for money out on the streets of Babylos.
Darah walked with light footsteps all the way to class. She was feeling rather... gleeful as she cradled her child basilisk, disguised as a basilisk lizard, in her arms. Her cloak covered her entire body, even her bare feet and she had the hood of it over her head, blocking most of her face from view. Gekko made soft cooing noises from the cradle of Darah's arms. He was in good spirits too seeing his mother's thin purple lips smile from under the brown ragged hood. As the two reached the front of the class, Darah wondered what sort of class would she be attending today. From the way things were going for her so far, the class could actually be fun, pleasant and enjoyable and who knows? She may actually pick up a thing or two from it.
Darah knocked softly on the door twice before opening it and walking into the room, her barefeet shuffling against the floor. With her hood down, she couldn't see the teacher. Actually, she didn't really want to nor did she care. She quietly made her way to her back seat of the class and slowly sat down. Darah didn't know that the teacher at the front of the class was one of the people she dreaded most in the whole of Arcane Academy.

"Hmm.. one student?"
Brow rose slightly on his forehead as he tilted his eyes over towards the person whom had entered the class room, his feet were propped up on the desk, and of course, there was an odd book in his hand, it looked to be quite old, and the cover of the book itself did not appear to be made of any modern material. Glancing back to the text it held, he seemed to be flipping through the archaic symbols which lay within, probably regarding to a recent issue with the rituals that have shown up. However, the class would start... even if.. there was only one person that showed up.
A bit of a sigh came from his lips and he flipped the page, the white tiger laying down beside him perked her head up, and glanced to the new student before settling it back against her front paws, a bit of a wide yawn and then its eyes closed. It seemed a bit lazy, but that was just her nature, and of course. Christian had made no attempt at changing her of that. It was after all, fruitless.

A young man with long, blond, glowing hair appeared from the doorway, landing on his face. Even so, he showed a childish, toothy grin. That young man, was the random, uncontrollable Riekana Onira. But everyone only knew him as Onira.
The young man pushed himself off the floor. Once he was up, he gave the teacher a quick wave and literally jumped into a seat, staring at the front. He couldn't help but let it out.
"You're not a demon!"
When Onira said this, he was reffering to Halsephea, the teacher of the dark arts. He was happy to see what he had heard as a more physical class. This more expressed his style of fighting than the dark arts, and should be much more fun. Well, hopefully.
"Sorry about that! Hey, what are we doing today?!"
Onira was, in a way, even more energetic than usual. He tended to show atleast some restraint, but not today. Today was sugar day. Actually, Onira hadn't even had any sugar. He didn't need to. Living just gave him that edge. Some envied it, and some went to another room.
Onira started whistling.

" A demon? Oh. I believe your confused. I am a half breed, hence why I have a human appearance.. but dont let that fool you. I do have a demonic side to myself."
He said with a raise of his brow, setting that book down on the desk as he shifted so his feet were back under it, and hands had come down to fold neatly against the stained oak desk. Those blue eyes focusing on this new addition, most certainly more active then his other student it seemed.
"What are we going to do.. hmm.. well. Introductions are usually the first thing you do on the first day of a new class. So of course that will be handled.. then I wanted to learn of your abillities so that I can use that to create further lesson plans, as far as learning goes. We are just going to discuss the basics of your fields and combat, I highly doubt from what I have seen so far, that most of the students here know properly about their abillities."

"Am... am I late?"
A voice at the doorway spoke out quietly and hesitantly. Onira would recognize the boy immediately, the others would most likely not. Lowering his head, averting his eyes away from the ones that would most likely wander over to his direction in scrutiny, Xeryth began to walk forward, trying to find a seat without actually looking at one in a desperate attempt to get away from the center of attention he had brought upon himself by speaking out. Finding a seat by finally drawing upon the power of Mind's Eye, Xeryth quickly dropped himself into it, setting his books underneath the desk and keeping his head lowered. He spoke out quietly, first to Onira:
"Hello there... Onira..."
And then, hesitantly, he lifted his head to meet the eyes of the Combat Instructor, speaking to him as plainly as possible, though still with his trademark stuttering.
"S-sir... forgive me... if I'm late. I... I just n-needed to... get a head-start on physical training... I... I'm fairly lacking.... so anything you could teach me would be... appreciated."

"Hmm? Stuttering, and obviously unaware of what combat is exactly. Listen. Combat is not just about bringing some big brute force into a fight, nor is the instruction I will be giving, coming anywhere near those sort of teachings. For that, I would be glad to turn you on to one of my "friends" so to speak, as thats what he believes. Combat, is how you fight, and well, Magic is just another part of combat, the same as using your head rather then just charging in. Thats why this class was created. You can learn all of the techniques you want, but if you run in blindly, your going to be put on your ass... or worse."
He looked over this new student.. rather.. the third new student that he had seen to be more exact in terms. No matter for that. A simple yawn and he waved it away, relaxing back in his chair, wondering if he should just start the class, and get onto the rest of the people as they came in, three.. was enough right? A shrug of his shoulders and he just offered a slight wave, telling them to get up out of their seats.
"Now. Introduce yourselves, and then I will follow in doing the same. After you have introduced yourself, you may sit back down."

Onira looked at the door, hearing footsteps outside. He watched intently with his violet eyes, as if he was trying to produce an X-ray vision to see through the wall. However, he was unsuccessful, but still saw someone enter. Xeryth. A strange and very nervous fellow. Or so Onira figured. He always pictured Xeryth as a sort of puppy that had been kicked around too much.
"Xeryth!"
Onira let the words escape him even before Xeryth sat down. So far, he wasn't doing too well in the control department. Not a good thing. If his personality showed his fighting style, then it seemed he was more about simply putting as much power into what he could. However, that wasn't true. He was nice. Well, nice enough.
The blond-haired apprentice spoke to Xeryth as he sat down.
"What's up Xeryth-chan? I mean, Xeryth-kun."
In actual reality, Onira didn't really call anybody anything than just the name. But as most people knew, it was impossible to predict Onira.
"The name's 'Onira' sensei!"

"H-hello Onira," Xeryth said, smiling weakly. He was still very nervous, especially in class and having to speak out in front of everyone.
"Nothing really... just... going to class. We... should listen to the instructor, I think..." he offered, smiling apologetically.
When Christian spoke out again, asking the students to name themselves, Onira quickly spoke first, addressing the teacher with his name. Since Xeryth was next to him, he assumed it was in proper decor for him to go next. So, clearing his throat, he raised his hand and spoke out.
"I'm... Xeryth. Xeryth.... Varson." It was still such an alien name to him, as he had never much used it throughout his D-13 tenure. However, it was the only name he knew, and as such, it was the name he gave to his instructor.
