Hakfu had come to todays class, maybe he would hold some insight to the teachers question. Of course Leon being one who grew up in a cave, yeah all he knew about magci was that it was the power givin to him to controle, change, or alter something. Leon wasn't quite sure if that was the answer the teacher wanted, but it was what the elder had told him. There was nothing scientific, or factuel about it, it was only a saying of sorts. Its what Leon knew, and if the teachers threat to kick the students out of the school was true Leon would not allow it. Now to introduce jokes to a boy with usch a suttlety to them is a bad idea I would think, concidering this particuler one didn't know of joking, all he knew was truth. If this was a joke, then Leon had just gotten very angry over nothing, but if it wasn't which is what Leon thought then he believed he was about to fight for something.
Lienn had retreated her spark to her hands to hide it from teacher, but Leons had only stopped jumping around his desk and got stronger as Leon made fists. First move the teacher made to call anyone to remove the students would be his last move. Leon would blow him away with all three Rah-Ken spells if not a fourth one just to make sure to make sure these people stayed here. He had this now oddly cold stare for one so innocent towards there teacher. But what had stopped him from concentrating on there teacher was the sound of a voice in his ear, it being Lienn. He would not look away, but his thoughts would switch to concern about Torm, and then accusations occured in his mind, what if the teacher had asked Torm this question and he hadn't answered, did he kick Torm out of the school. This one thought erupted in the sprak as it began to seem to go into convulsions and shatter into spark going to his arms. He would shake his head in a no manner to answer Lienn.
The sparks would be obsorbed into his hands as the fists closed tighter. It was the teachers move.

Be Wary of the Spinning Chair
Hakfu took a careful look at the G-man, with his spinning chair just behind his desk. Shudder. He took a glance at Lienn, and shook his head, almost ashamedly. The G-man... the G-man. What was he supposed to say? He had found..
"Lienn, meet me after class, bring the 'Priest' if you want. I think I have no choice in the matter anymore.. we need to stake him out. There are some things that... you need to see to believe."
Leaning over.. right. His promise to Darah.
"You too, Darah. I think you may enjoy it."
Grinning a little, he got back to his seat, when a new student entered, while Darah was being told off again. Did the G-man have some sort of secret affinity with Darah that made him notice her so much? If he said that out loud, Darah would just accuse him of thinking pervertedly again.. sigh. The hood was something he could understand. Darah was just concerned, either for herself, or for others, (though he still maintained the fact in his mind that she looked fine. Their last battle had proven that, transformation aside..) . He almost sniggered to himself at the thought, but remembered that he was too old for that. Gekko, whom he painstakingly called 'it', turned out to be a rather large basilisk, whom Darah ordered to walk out, as it appeared she would not have 'her child' be stuck in a cage. In hindsight, that was probably for the best. But, he couldn't help himself in the least to noticing the new stranger. Apparently, he didn't know about the 'no bringing weapons into class'. Hell, he even nodded at the G-man... the G-man, and his spinning chair! He had respect to the G-man, really, he did. But honestly.. he had scarred himself from seeing all those videos. Never again could he look at the G-man the same way. With a strange unsheathing sound, he removed his knife, which made Hakfu turn around, a little concious of sounds, but then looked on, and saw as it still had its sheath on. Very soldier like. He then bent down, and put his things away, although Hakfu couldn't see any of it, and soon lost interest. Again, his head whirled around, at the sudden gasp of air, to see him pull off his mask, dropping it at a seemingly leisurely pace.
Nodding his head at the boy as he sat down, not even a sound coming from his chair, as he turned back to his work. Long whiteish hair beneath his mask, apparently, making him look some sort of... he wasn't even awake enough to even find the word. Really needed to stop reading spellbooks late in the night, especially when he couldn't use them. This train of thought was interupted, when the professor asked the class whas magic was. He looked around, hoping for someone else to respond. Nothing. Dammit, he had answered the question last class! Then, the G-man made a comment to have all of them removed from the school. Did he really have that power? Sigh. Better do it quick. His hand raised up into the air.
"..Sir. Professor. Magic can be a variation of things. But for the most part, it is the alteration of things, by mankind, by what would normally be said, 'supernatural means' such as demons altercating our bodies or something physical, sometimes on the ocassion the spirit and/or mind, manipulation of our soul to either heal or destroy by means of other further altercations that usually require the spoken word to envoke, and/or the simple thought, sometimes, the manipulation of our spirit and our bodies energy, combined, through means of more Oriental styles of magic... etc. Sir."
He looked around. Dammit, he would make them look bad. Hakfu kept his hand raised, his eyes closed.
"..Uh... sir, I may want to add that Darah, Lienn, a nameless man called the Priest, and myself were doing a quick study-group last night, sir. I believe it was Darah who reminded us about it, by looking through her text book, and then, those were the Lienn's words, except hers may have been more thorough, and for myself and the Priest.. we more or less reviewed the different styles and uses sir. I assure you, we have been an active class.. we may just be, still... a little shy, for just knowing you only recently. Sir."
Hakfu blinked about twice throughout the whole blantant lie. Darah, for the credit he had to give her, reminded him of some how the unique some skills were, such as her ability to transform into such... a freakishly large monster, among other things, Lienn and the Priest had compelled and inspired him to research the G-man, hence why he reviewed so much, last night, having to go to sleep at around 1:50 A.M. They had helped in that matter. Coughing to himself, he went back down, writing onto his paper. Perhaps Dai or Kai could be used to encase his Jian in flame or electricity, or someone else's for that matter. He scribbled in some notes, trying to experiment with more spell words, trying to look as innocent as possible.
He noted to himself how close he had just come to calling the G-man, "Your great spinning chariness, sir." Too close.

The Historian had listened, and had actually perked an eyebrow during his explanation of the other nights study group. He had seen them inside the library, Hakfu, Lienn, and that Priest fellow, but no Darah. Fishy, but she may have arrived after he had left.
Walking back and forth. He returned to his desk, sat down, and spun the chair around, so that he was facinga way from the class. Spinning it back, he held two large globish objects in each hand, one of Electricity, and one of Fire.
Two basic elements. Fire, and Lightning. Both destructive.
Leon. Your electrical, as I've just noticed that your, practically, brisstling, with energy. I've, allssso, notiscced that, you have a, fondnessss, with Lienn...
I guesss, she hasssn't, told you, about, 'The Priessst'. Either way, pleasse tone down your, energy, output.
Leon. Tell me, how do, you harnessss, your Electrisscity?

Hakfu had answered the teachers question. Therefore no one would have to leave. Even though there was no chance that Leon could of harmed this very confusing teacher he was going to try. Seeing him spin in his chair and all of a sudden come around with wierdly made objects, but one of fire and one of electricity none the less. Then he became to speak to Leon, most of what he said confused him, why wouldn't he be fond of Lienn, he concidered her one of the few friends he had. Torm, Ziare, and Lienn, Hakfu he saw as more of an older brother type person. He had only met Darah once, and that was on the training grounds, but she was an interesting individuel none the less, and Leon would not see any of them treated poorly.
Yet again he was told to calm himself, so he did so, slowly releasing his controle over it letting the magic he was focusing on in himself to slowly be obsorbed. He even loosened the stare he held on the teacher. It would appear since Hakfu answered the question no one would be going anywhere. That was good news. Then came the question of how he controls his electricity. Well his best answer would be what he believed was how he did it.
"Thought. . . Emotion. . . Will."
So many ways to gain control, so many other ways to lose it. Yet he had not done that, but once. Even though his family was infused with the magic itself to controle electricity, and are a part of that magic, wiether it was intintional or not.

Two head shakes. No from Hakfu about finding anything else about the old man in front of them, though he had told her to meet him after class to plan the stake out. This should be a fruitful endeavor, or at least it looked promising. The second head shake was from Leon because, no, he hadn't seen Torm either. A flashing thought crossed her mind about Torm being eaten alive by his bug gizmos, but this passed quickly as she reasoned it was just caused by her bug paranoia. But where was he? Was he going to show at all? She hadn't pegged him as a class skipper, but perhaps he thought the Historian hadn't been serious about them attending.
She shrugged it off, leaning back a bit as she noticed Leon's hair bristling with electric energy when the Historian began insulting them once again and threatening to kick them all out. What a douchebag, the historian that is. If they had all known exactly what magic was, then they wouldn't have a need to be here. Which would be totally redundant. She snorted slightly as the historian spun in his chair to retrieve something, as it seemed all too familiar to the video clip Hakfu had uncovered earlier. Oh my..
Stifled laughter turned to suppressed rage, her cheeks flashed crimson and ashen eyes narrowed dangerously at the historian's fondness comment..what the hell was that supposed to mean? Besides being grammatically incorrect of course ('fondness of' not 'with'...and he called himself a genius, pah!). And where did the Priest wager into this? Was the historian spying on her? Eww! She pushed this thought from her mind, as well as the inquiry of her personal business that even she didn't know exactly and settled with just glaring at the old man. If anyone had a death wish, she was sure he did.
With a quick look over at Hakfu and a nod, she sealed their after-class plan. She would love nothing more than to dig up some dirt on this egotistical prying geezer.

Crap, crap, crap...way to make a first impression, Torm... Torm thinks to himself. He skids to a halt outside the classroom door and escapes falling over by leaning heavily on the ladder. A few Clockwork Beetles zoom along in his wake, and he quickly snatches them and stuffs them in a pocket. Taking a moment to compose himself, he opens the door quietly and steps in.
Torm looks about briefly. The Leon fellow is there, as well as Lienn, and a few other students he had not yet met. Also, the teacher known as the Historian seemed to be presiding. Of all the nights to stay up tinkering, I had to pick last night... he looks over at the sign up list and is surprised to find his name there already. He knew I'd be here...perhaps he has a punishment for that pre-planned too. Anything I get is my own fault, so it cant be helped, I suppose. Torm turns a sincere expression on the Historian. "I apologize for my rudeness and have no worthy excuses to offer." he says, and makes his way to a seat in one of the front rows.

Lienn grinned as Torm crashed into the classroom. It was quite candid, yet not unlike him at all. And no worthy excuse? What was he up to? She made a mental note to interrogate him after class. Ha. She jumped slightly, though, as the historian targetted her with one of his questions. What was the most effecint way of controlling magic? Hell if she knew for sure. The closest she'd gotten to the magic the historian was talking about was in his last class. She bit her bottom lip thoughtfully before responding.
"Well, sir, I'm not sure about the most effective way to control magic, but I do know one. Meditation. To control magic you must have a clear mind and unwavering concentration, and the 'most effecient way' to do that is through meditation.."
She stated coolly, keeping her gaze locked on the old man as she answered. It wasn't the best answer, but at this moment she didn't care. 'Just you wait "G-man," I'm going to find out what you're hiding, so ask all the questions you want..I'll get the last laugh.'
"But..I'm sure there is a better way that you will, no doubt, enlighten the class with in the hopes of discrediting me, and possibly make me feel terrible about my meager, uneducated existence...sir?"

The Historian chuckled. She was right, it was an effective way.
"Indeed. A good, ansswer, if I do, say so.
Of course, there is no , one sssingu, lar form of concentration.
So, I must ask again, this time, a new question.
You are all magic users, yes. Now, from each of you, I want one spell, and to hold, it in, front of you. I will, talk to each, one of you, about it."

Lienn froze, mouth agape slightly. Wait, he...laughed? At her obvious jab at his cynically twisted teaching ethic? Whoa..that was unexpected. Just who the hell was this guy? She simply stared at him, disbelief etched across her face. Her expression took a downward turn, however, when he asked (asked, not an order? what the..?) them to each execute a spell. Problem was..she didn't know any. But the historian said that they were all magic users, and telekinesis is a magic, despite the fact that she didn't have to mutter a spell to use it.
Raising her hand from her lap (the other still cradling the rogue spark, it was quite entertaining) she paused, considering the potential items around her, ashen eyes falling on the miniscule items on her desk. Boring. Glancing down, she noticed her bag on the floor, that should do. With a flick of her wrist and and upward motion, the bag rose from the ground, revolving slightly as it reached about sitting eye level. Easy cheesy, her indifferently bored expression even said so.

Dev came crashing through the door panting. He tripped, fell head over heels and landed on his head against the wall. This seemed to be an indefinate position, as he stayed in it for a few seconds. He stood on his head against the wall and faced the Historian's desk. "I am soooo sorry, sir! I'm new and I got really lost on the way. Anyway..."He fellonto his back, a little dazed, then stood and took a desk, making many stops to make apologetic bows. "So...what am I supposed to do?"

Leon had to think ofr a moment on the spells, he knew. There where three that he could call spells, the others where just, manipulation of his electricle current. He thought about using the Rah-Ken spell just to show this teacher Leon was not to be takin lightly, but that would be a waste of energy. He would use sparks, but he didn't want to blow everyone elses concentration. So he was left with Electric Charge, which is probably one of his most basic spells. So he raised his hand made it into a palm and sparks slowly jumped from each finger.
The zapping sound and the clicking of the electrical energy popping in the air could be heard as it became more powerful and frequesnt. His gloved hand seemed to tense up more and more before it finally closed and his fist had been electrically charged. But what he had just aimed to do was modify the spell alittle bit. He quickly opened his palm making sparks form a bubble and he concentrated on that forming a ball of electrical energy spinning around in the dent of his palm. He kept eye contact with this energy ball and kept thought on it and began to will it to stay the way it was. This ball was weak and had no destructive force to it except maybe a slight feeling of numbness for a few minutes if it hit anyone.
The electrical power can be used for more than just destruction, of course no one seemed to care. From observation Leon saw Lienn make her bag levitate, and this almost made him lose concentration on his ball, but he went back to concentrating as another student popped in, lost as he was. He also past by with an apologetic bow. Leon retunred by bowing his head, yet keeping his stare on the spell.

Torm watches the other students demonstrate their abilities with a mixture of impressed interest and a little envy. That Lienn is levitating stuff with relative ease, and that Leon fellow is just letting the electricity flow, no sweat. Their abilities are easily tapped, while I need serious concentration to tap my powers' true possibilities.
Shutting the surroundings from his mind, Torm prepares to demonstrate something when another guy bursts into the room, making Torm jump, his concentration ruined. "Screw this, I just can't concentrate!" he mutters, and pulls from a belt puch a pair of earbud headphones, whose cord snakes its way from some pocket or other. He taps a short rhytmic pattern on the desk surface. The device the headphones are hooked to picks up the pattern and starts Track 227, filling Torm's ears with sound unheard by those in the classroom. Perfect rhythm for this...nothing practical, but flashy and complicated-looking will do. Grinning slightly now, Torm holds his hands out as if to hold a spherical object with a hand below and one on top of it. Totally free of distraction now, he begins a weave.
In his mind's eye, Torm pictures a thread made of elemental magic; light, to be specific. The strand, though clearly delicate, pulses with an inner rhythm. Perfectly in tempo...This is going well. First we start with light. it's no good if they cant see the finished product. More strands of light appear, which he twists around and lays over the original. Knotting and weaving, the strands are woven into the form of a ring. Repeating the pattern, more rings of different sizes appear inside and outside the first. Wind and fire for movement and energy... new strands materialize of other elements, which he weaves deftly in and out of the rings' structures, causing them to take on different colors. The rings themselves still pulsate with that strange rhythm. Metal for solidity, a little water for flexibility, and spirit and earth to bind them together and imbue the spirit of motion... The weaving continues, and the rings begin to rotate around inside and outside each other. And now to tie it off... Torm mentally gathers the loose ends and forms a pulsating knot of elements. With a mental jolt, the weave becomes solid and complete, and between his hands, the product appears. The final effect is a sphere made of neon light rings of different colors rotating randomly about each other.
It had taken him about 10 seconds, and it had taxed his sub-par mana supply, but he had done it. Putting on his best show of being nonchalant, he tosses the now physically real light-ring ball up into the air once or twice, as if testing its stability.

Lienn shrieked and her bag fell to the floor with a clatter as someone she'd never met before crashed into the room head over teakettles. What in the world..!?!? She stared in confused amazement as the person just laid there upside down before jumping up and talking with such eagerness that she was afraid he might fall over again from overexertion or hyperventilation of something. With a huff she fell out of her seat onto the floor to gather her posessions that had fallen from her bag when she dropped it, blonde tresses falling into her face. With another huff she returned to her seat, setting her bag next to her again. 'Well, that was productive,' She grumbeled inwardly, clearing her mind to reset her spell, or whatever.
Ashen eyes narrowed unapprovingly at the new kid, whoever he was. She had noticed that Torm and Leon had already gotten to work on their spells, Leon used his electricity...and Torm, what was her doing? It was almost like a dance that he was doing, weaving threads of what must be magic into something...it was pretty cool to watch, which of course she did for a moment before turning back to her own task.

Dev frowned. A spell? This early in the class? He only knew three spells, two of which were instant bursts that were completely invisible to te human eye. He sighed. "I guess an illusion is better than nothing, right?" He held his hands out in front of him and slowly spawned a flower. A beuatiful red rose, it slowly grew in size until it looked like it was a foot wide. It bloomed, and a monarch butterfly stood perfectly still, each feather in it's beautiful wings clearly visable, constantly shifting and changing color. He was really glad he had learned how to hold this ability for long amounts of time.
