As each boy explained and introduced, Oki gave no look of approval or disapproval. Quite the instead, she formed symbols with her hands to which AiAiAi nodded or softly meowed. Yes, meowed. As the last boy finished his words, Oki Nanda smiled broadly, "Very good. Oki is glad to have so diverse a class. Healer Alastin, Oki will see him after class- and the same will follow if and when requested."
Weaving between Varys and Roy, resting a hand on Roy's shoulder for but a moment Oki manipulated his nervous emotion into calmness. One thing Oki would not stand in such tension from a new student, this should be easy and realxing and that was how it would remain. However there was indeed an announcement Oki hadn't gotten around to just yet. Oki stood just shy of her fellow Dreamweaver and extended a paley tanned arm, "This is Feline AiAiAi. Feline AiAiAi is Oki's assistant for today. Oki warns Oki's students now, "Oki's happy, cheerful voice turned dark and serious- this matter being very important. "Disobedience during first time planeing will not be tolerated and result in instant ejection from Oki's class with a permanent ban on continuation or repeating. Feline AiAiAi will be making making sure of this."
AiAiAi purred softly, amber eyes slitting as she cooed a note of confidence floating around and into each student, "I believe you boys can contain yourselves."
Oki started stepping away as AiAiAi lowered her eyes and began to file the oddly long, clawlike fingernails. AiAiAi added for a lasting effect, "After all, roughing up such lovely looking boys doesn't sound very fun on such a sunny day."
Oki returned to the center of the circle. Earth toned eyes looking over each student with a critical consideration. Her happy tone returned, "Oki will begin each class with homework. Homework which Oki requires to be turned in at Oki's blue doored office exactly two days after each class. Oki hopes Oki's students understand the seriousness of completing each given homework assignment for if not, Oki will deny the continuation of any class with Oki completely and utterly. Understood?"
Though the quiet consensus of the class, Oki continued, swaying back and forth on her heels as she did, "Oki has lit several insence in Oki's classroom. Part one of Oki's assignment is to identify the ingredients, reasoning behind, and uses of each. Also, Oki would appreciate complete sentences and for extra credit, which will include a private lesson with one of the four Dreamweaver masters in this academy of arcane, bringing in insence to share for the next class. This also requires ingredients, reasoning behind Oki's Student brings in such and reasoning behind why such insence should be used, and the uses for it. Complete sentences and nonfragmented sentences are much appreciated."
Oki pause only long enough for them to absorb this then continued, "Part two of Oki's homework is purchasing and putting good use to all insences used this day."
Nodding Oki raised a knowing finger, "And part three to Oki's homework is: meditation. A requirment of three hours every day until the next class held will be vital to the continuation for each and every student. No ifs, ands or buts. Understood?"
Again Oki only waited long enough to nods or soft sounds of agreement- Oki would honestly be surprised how many actually bothere to do this homework but completion of said homework was up to Oki's student themselves.
Spinning in a circle, Oki nodded as she stopped, standing on the bit toe of her left foot, hands together and eyes shut. Slowly opening them, Oki's voice took on a tone of severe restain and consentration, "Oki sences now is the time to begin on the plane. Lay or sit on mats which Oki has provided. Oki does not care which action is taken by Oki's students in Oki's first class. Also, if any of Oki's students wish to leave- now is the time."
As she spoke, Oki hand became involved in a series of seals and signs, all which AiAiAi did in unison. Advanced students would recognize the plane sealing signs and those of the chinese zodiac- requesting permission from each of the sacred beasts. What better precaution could have been taken by two master Dreamweavers for none other than THE Oki Nanda's students?

Varys listened ever so carefully. He knew directions had to be followed from the first Master. Failure was hardly tolerated and something to be feared, even if these teachers wouldn't actually inflict anything upond him, it had to be feared. There were small flashbacks in the mind of failures. Momentary ripples of small anguish and fear, they subsided quickly but resonated in Varys his need to complete the instructions.
The first task already struck him harshly. Varys sniffed carefully as Oki spoke of of identifying the incense. Each wiff only muddled the smells further in his mind and he was hardly able to even understand from which direction each smell came from let alone what they were. The failure sent further pangs of fear of failure through him, though he stood quietly and stonewalled. He couldn't be a disturbance....
The second set disturbed the man only slightly more, his mind already muddled and lost, but still coherent enough to understand and remember the instructions. The last part would be the easiest. Meditation. Such a simple concept and one that was practiced readily, it was a poor thing to not let the Nightmares have time to themselves after all.
With the last instruction of leaving the plane, Varys layed himself down. His body would lay flat on his back with his head propped up slightly to watch the hypnotic hand movements of the two teachers. He had no clue as to the meaning or purpose, but they were interesting just the same. It wouldn't be long before the eyes drooped slightly and Varys began to sleep very fitfully, as was his custom. His Nightmares began to loose their bonds and find their keeper. They needed to give Varys his due in terror.

As the teacher walked by, her hand touched Roy's shoulder. Instead of fear of failure and getting a beating, he felt calm...and collected. Reassured. The teacher was weird, sure, but weird was normal, here. Hell, Roy was weird, and so was everyone else.
When Oki spoke of "Feline AiAiAi ", Roy wondered what she meant for a moment, and then listened. ONe mistake, and he was done for. That wasn't going to happen. Roy had always been a good student, and would continue to be. Even if the teachers scared him a little.
Roy listened intently to the instructions that the Oki laid down for them. All the while, he made mental notes of how he was going to pay for the incense. Odd jobs around the city should be enough for the incense.
He also meditated to controll his magic better, not like it helped. He'd add three hours of meditation to his schedule, so it was up to seven hours a day. Not much of a difference, he got up at four in the morning, and diddn't have any classes until eleven.
Roy sat down on the mat provided, and cleared his mind. Whatever happened now was the will of Miss Oki, and Miss AiAiAi.

Without a word, a sound, a small audible breath, he was silent the whole time, not looking at anyone, just trying to listen and understand. He understood he had to do homework, and understand incents and their purposes. He knew what she meant by not being able to come back to her class if he messed around, but he was way too. . . Obedient for that sort of thing. Leon was quiet, and listened to what he was told to do. Laying on the mat he wondered if he where to fall asleep, would he have the nightmare again? Would he live through another persons life and watch them die horribly through they're eyes. Some killed by their friends, others killed by their parents, children, brothers, wife, husband, cousin.
All of these deaths breaking out because of a difference in ideal that went so far, it turned family on family, in the end killing everyone. A whole clan, whiped out because of a war that lasted one night, and killed over 500 people. Slowly he closed his eyes and drifted to sleep, his could feel his mind escaping his body as he went numb, but was still contiouse, he was beginning to know he was going to dream. As pictures flashed through his mind, pictures he was not able to understand because of how fast they went.
He could smell the incents, all of them at once, then only one at a time. It was a great smell, taking his mind away from the pictures, and turning it to dark sleep, of calm and peace. no nightmare this time it seemed. the insence was doing its magic you could say. Working to ease the body it made the mind calm and stopped any kind of nightmare from happening. so opening his eyes he waited for any other instructions from Oki, or AiAiAi.

Ethan merely listened to the teacher's ramblings, noting things mentally as he sat down in his mat, crossed legged now. It was qutie interesting to see how his teacher was so strict and rules and homework, but it is to be expected of a teach naturally...But her extent seems to betray what appeared to be the free (And by free one would mean not caring) look she had. Anyways, it seemed the lesson was going to begin...
Sitting in his mat, Ethan closed his eyes camly...awaiting for whatever to happen, happen...

Alastin blinked for a moment when he looked up seeing Oki wanted him after class already. He shifted from foot to foot nervously and looked down with a small sigh. Had he already blown it somewhere? No he couldn't have class hadn't started yet. Yet here she was asking him to come after class. He fidgeted from foot to foot again on a nervous cycle as if someone had just asked him to run a marathon through a battlefield. Nervous? Perhaps since he didn't know why she would want him after class. It was nerveracking to say the least. Oki was nearby weaving something Alastin paying attention sharply as she stood between Varys and Roy. What were those symbols and words? He played with the crystal cross around his neck that functioned as an amplifier for his spells so to speak.
Dreamweaving...can I really grasp it? More importantly can I avoid abusing it?
Alastin thought to himself as he knew those with the ability to walk through dreams could tremendously inflict horrible things on a person's mind. Dreamweaving was not only something that one had to have digilience and patience for yet also a student had to have the maturity not to abuse it. He heard AiAiAi make a thread that seemed to reach through the entire room making him involuntarily shiver. Cats always made him a tad twitchy well at least the large ones. Perhaps a natural reaction from having wings. He shifted his head for a moment as he also turned over the fact that Oki would instantly eject anyone who disobeyed her. They were in her authority and her grasp. Failure to follow the rules and regulations would mean immeadiate failure. Something that Alastin did not want to have since he wanted to suceede so he could help others. Homework?
His ears quickly perked as he pulled out a small organizer and a pen snapping it open and quickly jotting down the assignment. Each sentence he copied down word for word and wrote the due date on the assignment as well. It wasn't a memory problem he had an excellent memory however, he reinforced whatever he heard if he wrote it out ensuring that he wouldn't just forget about it. He did however, give a smile at the assignment that was currently there. It was incense! Something that he had actually read up on and even made some of his own a mint variety to help with relaxation and recouperation in a calm environment. If not mint then he used rosemary which helped people who had stress migraines. Lavender was sometimes used as well if he had the time to make it since that took the longest. Part two was actually easy he already stocked a variety of incenses the only one he didn't have was the one in the corner which he made a mental note to buy.
All right this isn't so bad...I think I can handle it...
Alastin gave a bright smile as he listened even more yet there was another part to the homework. Meditation. The ability to recover one's spirit and train themselves through mental discipline. He blinked for a moment. He had never given meditation serious thought before and three hours every day meant that he would have to put it in constant practice. Sure he had done it before but, actively performing it to reach a state of Zen he had not.
That part might be tricky...
Alastin admitted to himself as he sat down and blinked seeing twelve distinct signs being made. He instantly recognized them as the chinese zodiac signs since he used the symbol of the dragon for one of his healing spells. He sank onto the rather comfortable mat and sat Indian-style with his legs crossed. Laelaps laying down behind him who he leaned against to calm himself and focus himself. Slowly drifting as he felt powerful magic slowly spurn through the room. Would he be okay? He'd find out soon enough.

(OOC: Sorry about the shortness; not much to say. Also, sorry about the delay. I should be studying now, but I figured it was rude to hold things up this long, and longer would be worse.)
Torm takes it all in quetly and efficiently. Homework, research, materials identification; standard issue. Purchasing the stuff would not be a problem once he found out what it was and where it was sold; it's not like Torm doesn't have a steady flow of income form his side-jobs. He sinks to a cross-legged position on one of the mats as instructed and awaits further instruction. He isn't sure whether he'll be any good at this dream stuff, but the rules are very straightforward and serious, so he will try not to break those, at least.

Standing in the center in the room, in the center of the circle, as the instructor she had a duty to guide these possible students into the world she called home. Laying casually between Oki's legs was AiAiAi, purring quietly as amber eyes gliding over the boys as they were. There was more to the game of ejection than simply the removal but more so the catching of the small tips, hints, triggers and tell-tale signs that few seem to realize happen until they're too late. AiAiAi loved her job and as her muscles tensed, Oki's relaxed. A seal of runes formed around the circle, glowing feintly as Oki Nanda's eyes slowly closed to only half open. With the knowledge of the limited barrier, the safety of the students would be ensured- though in the case of ejection they would be on their own.
Exhaling softly, Oki's dark eyes glimmered with amusement as she stood unchanged on the field beyond the technicolor gem which now hun from around her neck. On this plane, one's appearence was not that of the waking plane but the one karma dictated one possess. In her hand appeared a staff in the center of it was a free floating orb of golden properties. Oki smiled paley as she looked about- though she still saw the classroom others could see more. Oki had small expectations for a few as it was, however she did not hope for more than what was expected by only the students basics of a beginning class.
"Oki is pleased all have made it so far. Feline AiAiAi will keep all asleep until otherwise noted. Oki now wishes for Oki's students to look about and at themselves. When Oki's students are content, Oki requests they return to Oki's side as to continue Oki's lesson."

Alastin appeared in the plane and unchanged field as he felt into the trance that AiAiAi and Oki had put him in Laelaps making a soothing whispering noise that had put him to sleep quicker. He was surprised that he was the first to appear on this plane as he walked slowly. On this plane Alastin's hair was of the purest of white and his eyes were a shimmering gold rivaling the son. He wore soft and billowing robes of white with emerald trim that was associated with healers in ancient days. His karma dictated that he was a good person and the mighty white dragon Misae had appeared beside him. Next came the ghostly form of Laelaps at his side with pure white fur. Both had symbols of gaurdians on a chain around their necks.
They both guarded Alastin who was a healer as he looked around and saw Professor Oki. He bit his lip for a moment hoping that he was doing the right thing as he walked towards her Misae and Laelaps staying where they had appeared for now and he looked up at Professor Oki. He shifted for a moment and looked beside her not understanding the properties of this place. He knew that beside the professor that they were safe from anything that could have been a danger to them. The barrier and signs of protection that they used obvious and showing the strength that they had. Alastin shifted his attention as he saw Misae and Laelaps flickered away and into pure sapphires that were on his robe.
"Professor...how does one walk the dreams without harming someone else if you were say trying to find the source of what was troubling them while they sleep?"

There was a short rip of blood in Varys' mind before he came to Oki's dreamplane. His eyes searched carefully, hasted by caution and fear. He wasn't sure he was in a safe place yet, after all the worst fear came from a false hope of being safe. It seemed however that he was in a different place as his body had become a mismatched form of what it once was.
Varys left side was akin to the form Teufel, the leg and arm gnarled and with the warty spines. The right was the black skinned and muscle bound form of Todesknochen, the huge arm twisting as Varys brought the mismatched limbs up to inspect him.
Varys held his own face, but it was distinctly tinted by Schrägstrich, blueish in color with the black eyes. His hair while styled in the typical manner and looking similar was thicker and more akin to Schrägstrich's thick tendrils. From behind, Varys had a thick slug stub of a tail and the twin clawed arms of his first nightmare poked out from his chest, two tiny version of themselves. All the while, Varys was clothed in tattered robes of black and a soft grey. The contrast apparant with Varys mind, the fact of being a certain evil and yet not knowing any difference.
Varys looked around momentarily, but quickly moved to the Professor's side. He took in the sight of Alastin while he moved, his eyes adjusting to the almost white glow he gave off. He listened to the question and was somewhat confused.
"Why would you try to destroy their nightmare? It will only return as long as their fear is kept..."
Varys voice would then be noted to have the characteristics of all of his current sides. He spoke in quadruplate, but with his own true voice the loudest as it was he that kept them all in control and unison.

Oki Nanda smiled softly at both her pupils, as the others having seemed to not quite make it as of yet. How sad, Perhaps they had been caught causing trouble or simply had become lose.
Looking to the blond healer, Oki Nanda smiled sweetly, "Such a simple and gentle form. Oki is not surpised at all, Healer Alastin. Oki has a simple answer for Healer Alastin's question," bending over slightly Oki came to eye level with him and smiled, "walking lightly until the source of their pain is located, then one quick gesture of action saves not only time but many lives."
This said, she stood back at her full height and looked to the Varys boy, he was a nightmare mage from what she had been informed. He was here to learn either better techniques to either cause them or cure his own- as was common with nightmare masters and apprentices. Being trapped in their own terrible and cold dreams. It was almost amusing, but this amusement showed not on at all her face, "Such a fearsome form you possess, Nightmare Varys, Oki believes someone should remember if everyone had nightmares all the time, they would become afraid of everything and eventually die from the strain on their bodies and mind. Without good dreams, nightmares would have no one to feed off of."
Nodding slightly, Oki sighed, "We will give the other students a chance to join us. If they fail, we will return and Oki's students will both be relased from the class to complete your homework. Until then," waving a hand Oki brought up a glass orb in the center of this safe ground. It shimmered brightly, "This is a dream orb, within the conciousness of every man, woman and child there is one. They are born with them and they learn to geenrate dreams on their own accord from the moment they take their first breath in life to the last."
Oki tapped her staff on the ground, "Oki's students may look into it and see the current chosen's dreams. We cannot effect it but only watch as it is a borrowed dream orb. This is the orb of a rutabega farmer on the earth plains. He is a simple man with simpe loves and very little money. Watch his dreams for the time being and we will continue shortly."

-CLOSED-
And with great regret, it was found only two students made it to the dream plane. With a heavy heart, Oki Nanda failed four out of six boys as the four who failed to make it were infact removed by AiAiAi. How sad and tragic such youth cannot be trusted in something as simple as Introduction to Dreamwalking.
