Isis waited in her classroom for her students to arrive. It was time to delve a bit more into the dark side of magic. For of course there were those that enjoyed the more elusive and controversial types of magic. It was here that they would learn, develop, and research these. In her dark arts class she had mentioned blood summoning and now, well now she was going to teach a class based soley on blood summoning and nothing else. Where the students would be able to summon their own minions and so forth if done properly of course.
There was always that hidden danger of loss of limb or life when working with blood summoning. But that was what magic was all about wasn't it? Truly finding your vulnerablilities not to mention taking chances and finding new things. Oh yes, blood summoning was a dangerous art and it was looked down upon rather profusely. But it was only because those people didn't understand blood summoning, and what it would give you. However that was not the point this class was set up to learn to use your blood and the blood of your enemies to summon the beings from the nether world to do your bidding.
A sheet had been posted for some days now on the sign up board. It was both the class roster and a waiver saying were putting your life into your own hands entering this class where demons you summoned could turn against you were you not ready or had you not done what you were supposed to have done. As such six name slots were ready though she would take whomever signed up. It mattered little it was a class to learn and it began today.

Blood summoning. Angra watched it with greater pleasure that anyone had seen on his face for days. He had quite litterally turned into a bum. He needed something to gather his thoughts about, just something, anything. He wrote up his name, after all, if it involved blood, it usually also involved pain. And with sufficient pain, Angra could litterally summon anything he wished. He just didn't have the required techniques to do it. If he got accepted for this class, then it seemed like he could get the required techniques and gain something more powerful than his mere Pain's touch. He sighed and walked away after leaving his name, in blood, on the paper.
Devoted to the art? Damn right he were.

Blood Summoning, Eh? Sounds fun.
Roy took a small pen from his pocket, and clicked it open, scrawling his name down on the sign-up sheet. He read the liability waiver carefully, laughing at it in places. If something like this was going on, wasn't it a given that you could accidentaly summon something nasty? Hell, what would happen if he accidentaly summoned a Pit Fiend?
"Maybe I'd better keep the Spear of Judas with me......this could turn ugly."
Walking away, he pulled his sword from the sheath, and noted it's weight. Yeah, it would suffice against a Pit Fiend, even if HE wouldn't. Laughing to himself, and sheathing the sword, he walked away.

Onira, on the eve of his birthday, had signed the sign-up sheet/waver/death warrant. Looking back on it, he had to wonder what the hell he was thinking when he did so. He had already experimented with symbology, and that had put him in worse predicaments than he could or liked to count. The worst, so far, being his first attempt, when a blackish-greyish demon arm had grabbed him and began to crush him. Luckily it dissolved quickly after, due to the student's lack of consideration, but still, it was one of the worse moments in Onira's life. Something to sigh about to be sure, and to think, Onira was going to attempt exactly that! Again!
"This is stupid even for ME!"
Onira had admitted to himself before that he wasn't the brightest, but delving into territory that had already shown him a very harsh introduction was just... retarded!
"Well, I guess it's done, now. But..."
The mage himself had been narating the last, say, two minutes of his life, all of which was spent just standing in-front of the door. He had, a few times actually, come to the idea that he could seek comfort in having the source for most weapons he wished at his disposal, but still. Taking the risk of doing something you already know you have and probably will fail at again is hard one.
"Well, time to die!"
He stepped foreward, only to find, yet again, he had screwed up. He stood there for a moment, soon finding momentum pushing him onto his back. Apparently, opening the door was a better way to get inside somewhere. A little tidbit to remember, it would seem.
He sat up, shaking his head, and then... crying. He pushed his face in to his hands, stopping the tears quickly, then brushed away those still there. He had what one would call a mini-breakdown, but that could be for later. For now, he'd push the emotions out of the way.
Onira stood up, twisting the knob in-front of him and opening the door. He poked his head in, looking to the teacher with a weakened voice.
"Is this blood summoning?"

Well it's not really in my style. But still I'm pretty sure I could learn quite a bit about it. He thought seeing the class being offered. He had an interest in pretty much all magic styles. The only ones he wasn't interested in were the ones he didn't yet know of. He decided to sign up and take the class.
He arrived in the room seeing few other students alrady there but he was clearly on time. His jaw almost dropped seeing his teacher. She was definatly a woman with pleasing assets. Times like these make me wish I was older than I am. He thought knowing his chances were slim to none. But even though he wouldn't stare he could content himself with looking. Well at least I'll pay attention in class for sure. He thought walking over to take his seat.

[Blood...Summoning?] Mantis asked himself, scanning over the sign-up sheet to the class. The bug manipulator could summon various insects already, maybe this would help.

He put his name down on the line with a pen from his pocket, then led Julie back to his dorm and told her to stay there. When she asked where he was going he simply said, "Class." with a smile. Blood summoning, with its release waver, was no place for an eight-year-old girl, no matter what she could do.
The apprentice walked back to the sign up sheet, and found what room the class was to take place in. When he walked into the door quietly in his usual attire, aside from his wearing boots instead of sneakers, he saw someone he'd recognized from a few days prior, Jason. They'd met, more or less, on Mantis' first day on Babylos when he and Julie were wandering about, looking for the school.
Mantis nodded to Jason as he passed by, and sat in a chair off to the side, careful of the positioning of his simple wakizashi.

Hadrian grinned a little as he noticed a sign-up sheet for a new classs. It was a class for Blood Summoning, he had done a little research on the darker arts of magic and run across this before. It was fairly dangerous and required a waver because if not done properly it could have dire consequences for the unfortunate would-be user. But it was also a powerful type of magic if taught properly and it would certainly help to augment his shadow magic further.
He signed his name and then proceeded to the classroom. He sat in the back, his wings still in for now as he would not need them because he was not performing magic yes. Crimson eyes examined the room a little boredly inspecting the other students in the class. He only knew one and that was Jason, the boy he had met with Celeste that day. He sighed a little as his eyes rested on the teacher, he had her about her, Miss Isis Stone...quite a temptress from the stories that he had heard in passing. He grinned faintly as he settled back in his seat comfortably, this was certainly going to be an interesting class.

Isis sat cooly on her desk as her students began to arrive. She was reading their auras as they entered knowing already who would excell and those that would fail or at least falter in the class. But she said nothing she had on her seductive grin and had already picked out her pet for the class. She liked picking one out. One to have fun with and one to play with it made life interesting and gave her something to do. "Welcome, students. My name is Isis. And this is indeed my class on Blood Summoning. As far as I can tell by looking at each of you, none of you have experience. That is not something to worry about though for here you will gain said experience. Not being one to waste time, lets begin. "Blood Sacrifice. One of the truly dark forms of dark magic. Most associate black magic and blood sacrifice yet it is not always thus is it? For a few minutes we will touch on blood sacrifice and blood magic. It is truly one of the most controversal topics concerning dark magic." "Blood sacrifice is everywhere in history. It is even in the bible if you really look into it. Most Christians think that the black arts are evil and the work of the devil yet their very own holy book is ripe with such works and temptations of such sacrifices. For example; many of you may be very familiar with the story of Cain and Abel. The two brothers whom both offered sacrifices to God in order to gain favor. One offered fresh vegetables of his own crop. While the other picked his choice lamb of his flock. Both sacrificed these to the Almighty, yet only one was accepted as a true sacrifice. The blood sacrifice. In many cases the sacrifice was indeed a virgin. Because they are pure. Amazing how purity works it's way into such a supposedly dark and evil art. Again there is the story of Abraham. He was asked to sacrifice his own son. His own flesh and blood to show aliance and devotion to the God above. Granted it was only a test yet still a blood sacrifice was asked for even if not followed through." she said with a smile she loved talking about blood sacrificing because ususally not only did it bring conversation, discussion, but also debate. "Moving on to the ancient Aztecs who too used blood sacrificing some even their own bodies in their lives and religions. Now the Aztecs had several Gods and many of them required blood. So both animal and human sacrifices were necessary to appease such Gods. In fact, in one such ceremony they would chose a victim or as they called it sacrifice and make them lay on a table or altar. They had to lie still as the High Priest of the particular order sliced their beating heart from their body. Again another form would be self mutilization. Yes, they believed that through ultimate pain you could achieve or reach a higher plane of existance and therefore they would be closer to the God of choice. Cutting off their genitals or piercing their tongues with ropes made of thorns was the most popular ways about reaching that higher plane." "Blood sacrifice is also used for summoning. Blood Summoning is a high art of the Black Magic. It is definatly one of the more shunned forms of black magic yet is the most intriguing to those that really delve deep into the arts. Blood is of course required for this. Many times the summoner will use they're own blood to do this or that of an animal. The most common animals being a chicken or a dove and again virgin is best. But the main question here would be why do we use blood to summon? Surely we are all aware that some people summon without a sacrifice of any sort so why blood? Blood is life, it is energy, the life force by which we live. To sacrifice that any part of it attracts the demons that the blood summonings bring. Now besides the blood you will need a summoning circle. Because you will need to contain your summon for the beginning while you give it direction but you will also need a place that will call the summon. A point so that the demon knows where to arrive. The circle also can act as a protection for you the summoner. For you want to make sure it is safe that your pact with your temporary summon or your directions with your bond summon are clear." Waving her hand at the black marble wall behind the desk. In blood red shining visage this was shown.. "This is the Triangle of Solomon and it's summoning set. This is just one example of a circle that you would use. It is important that you pick the right one for the summoning you intend to do. That is why study and concentration are heavy in the dark arts. Anyone practicing dark arts tends to be extremely intelligent and well read as they study so as not to kill themselves by making a stupid mistake. Even drawing the circle can be dangerous if two lines do not meet up perfectly the circle is ineffective so you must make sure that you have everything done perfectly." she explained as she walked back around the front of the desk. "Now, shall I begin to call on my students and put you on the spot or are you actually going to have opinions without me having to resort to elementary tactics. We are mages here lets all try to act our intelligence. Any thoughts? Opinions? Questions before we begin the less than clean task of actually working with blood?" she said as she crossed her arms just under her bust.

Fascniating. Thought jason who was paying rapt attention. He was writing down things he knew would be good things to study and memorize. Being a person with artistic talaent he had even drwan out the summoning circle down to the glyphs displayed between the circels. Jason figured if he was going to study something he wouldn't do it half-Assad. Particularly as this could be dangerous.
He did raise his hand at the offer to get an answer. He didn't have any previous knowledge about this so he wanted to know something that could prove useful. 'I do have a question. As you can summon things with the blood I was wondering that if a person was to use their own blood instead of another being's. Would that make it easier to control whatever it is that they would bring forth?" he asked. Jason felt this was a very valid question considering he hadn't ever learned any of this at all.

Mantis listened closely. There was more to this blood summoning than he'd expected, though he didn't exactly know what to expect. When this teacher, Isis, asked if there were any questions, Mantis raised his hand. He lowered it when Jason did the same and asked his question, but would ask his own when Jason's was answered.
After it would be answered, the question Mantis had was, "Will any beings blood do? An insect perhaps?" He wasn't too keen on killing his friends to summon a demon, but an emergency was an emergency and if he could call out a hive of hornets or a hill of termites to summon a demonic bug of sorts, it could prove extremely useful in a despirate situation.
This class would definitly prove interesting, and probably dangerous, but thats why the teachers of the academy allowed the students to carry their weapons around.

Roy had been sitting in the back of the class, simply waiting for class to begin, when the teacher began to speak about the subject. It sounded fascinating, and he laughed when she mentioned the hypoccritical text known as the bible.
He pushed his hair out of his eyes, hoping his aura wasn't too naive-looking, since he had literaly felt the teacher reading it. He had also neglected bringing his holy spear along, opting for just his dagger, tucked away in his left boot.
He had no questions, and simply waited for the class to begin.

Interesting stuff. Very interesting stuff indeed. Especially when the teacher went into self-mutilation that he got even more interested in the subject: Anything causing pain was immediately listed as one of his favourite things. But one question sparked in his head. All the others asked some rather unimportant questions. If it wasn't because he was still formulating the question in his mind, he would just have cut through the others questions and just fired out his own, after all, he wouldn't give a damn whether the teacher liked him or not, he only cared for power.
Though one thing sparked his interest, why the hell did the Christians support a god that wanted humans to slay creatures in his favour? Didn't make any sense. He pushed his religious qualms aside and looked at the teacher with the usual uncontrollable lust for one thing. His aura, flaming with hatred and self-confidence. The apes he was surrounded by stopped talking and he could come with his question. He raised his hand quickly and firmly, waited a second before speaking.
"With other summonings, they require amounts of energy sacrificed in order to get the targeted creature summoned, the more energy, the stronger pet you have. Do this rule also apply for blood summoning? The more blood, the stronger creature? Or is it only the summoning symbol that matters? Or perhaps a mixture of both?"
Unlike some people, he didn't write down what she had said, he didn't expect them to get to any sort of exam in this stuff, and if they were, he could always bring a gallon of blood and summon some sort of retarded demon to his aid, as long it was flashy and scary looking, then he would suspect the examiners wouldn't bother checking its intelligence.
[OOC: 'Apes', it's only IC, don't take it as an OOC offense xD]

Isis FINALLY had an actual responsive class. She hated the ones that just sat there and never actually asked any questions or got into any discussions. It pissed her off to no end. So she listened and answered the questions as they were brought up to her. She went to the back of the room slowly walking as she began to answer the questions. Jason asked first.
'I do have a question. As you can summon things with the blood I was wondering that if a person was to use their own blood instead of another being's. Would that make it easier to control whatever it is that they would bring forth?"
"If in the fact you use your own blood it can indeed make the bond stronger between you and your summonable. And of course it is always handy since you seem to carry an abundance with you where ever you go. But remember that oft times it takes a bit of blood and should you make yourself weak your summon may have an advantage." she explained.
"Will any beings blood do? An insect perhaps?" Mantis spoke up as she passed.
"Yes, indeed it will. You can truly use the blood of animal or human alike. However, I will tell you that human blood is more potent when making such summons. You have to take into account what kind of summon you are hoping to create. What are you wanting this summon to do, how long you might want him to last. So many factors come into play as I will explain before we begin actual practice." she told them.
"With other summonings, they require amounts of energy sacrificed in order to get the targeted creature summoned, the more energy, the stronger pet you have. Do this rule also apply for blood summoning? The more blood, the stronger creature? Or is it only the summoning symbol that matters? Or perhaps a mixture of both?" Angra, her pain mage spoke up and she smiled giving him one of those 'see me after class' winks as she pulled herself up so she was sitting on top of Roy's desk.
"It is a mixture of both. For you can have all the blood in the world but if you do not have the right symbol you will never get what you want. The Solomon Symbol is by far the most common and the one we will be using today. However, blood potency is highly important. You will have to decide on what kind of blood you will use for your summoning." she told him.
Her hand reached up to Roy and ran through his red hair without looking carressing his pointed ear as she sat on his desk.
"Any more questions or shall we move on?" she asked.

Jason jotted down the answer to his own question and then the answers of the questions the other students had. The more he learned about this the easier he could use it after all. He wanted to at least have all the knowladge of the subject he could get. To understand something was to be able to actually use it. He was very curious as to how adept he'd be at it. After all his abilities were to direct his mana into raw energy and so forth. To harness his powers like this might actually be a stepping stone to new abililities. That made him turly attentive.
He setteld back after jotting everything down and was silent. He didn't have any other questions. The other ones he might have thought of had already been asked and answered. meaning he was content with progressing through the lesson. though he was stll ready to jot down anything else that might get brought up.

A half raised eyebrow, a partly stunned facial expression, and overall a surprised young Angra. The teacher had winked to him. Not quite sure how to take the wink, he just decided to nod to her in a silent agreement he would meet up with her after class. Quite curious about what she had to offer and quite curious what she wanted him to offer her. His mind managed to get sidetracked enough that she were quite possibly a vampire hunting for his blood for a special summoning before he got the grip of himself again and returned to the realm of the class. He was somewhat glad that the teacher hadn't seen him space out completely. Unless she had some sort of second sight... If so, then he might be in trouble as his concentration had an issue with switching on and off if someone talked for too long.
He had no more questions, not anyone relevant for the entire class to hear though. He leaned back and turned his face to look at the teacher, who he wanted to elaborate on the blood-summoning subject. Just one thing deterred him, the fact that he would have to study symbols and the likes, memorize them and the likes.
Sigh
