No announcement. No big hurrah. Just a flier on the class/mission bulletin board: Dear Students,
- I am holding a class on an art known as Dimensionalism. Should you choose to participate, simply sign below, and follow the guide. This will be an arduous art to learn and will consume much of your energy to master and use. The rewards for learning this aspect of magic, however, can be great.
Respectfully yours,
Sho Takara
1._______ 2._______ 3._______ 4._______
Once any student would sign their name, a small spirit, nothing more than a lavender floating ball with eyes would appear between their face and the bulletin board. It would say something sarcastic like, "So your one of Takara's students huh? Heh...Follow me." Then float along at a decent pace, stopping at each corner should they fall behind, yelling at them to hurry up. Several twists and turns away from the sign-up sheet, the spirit would stop in front of the door to a broom closet, turn to the student and say, "Well, here we are. Good luck, kid." Then in a small poof and sizzle, disappear back to it's place, hidden by the flier for the class where it would wait for the next student. A closet? Yes, Sho had a sense of humor. Doubtless, the students would be confused as they had just stopped in front of a clearly marked custodial closet. When they opened the door, they'd likely be even more confused as they would see nothing. Nothing but a solid black, seemingly glowing wall. What they didn't know, was that this was a dimensional rift gate, and that they were staring into a null space, created by their teacher. If the students took too long to move through the door, the gate would reach forward, grabbing the poor mage, and yank them through into the null space dimension. It would feel nothing like the teleporters possessed by the academy, but there would still be a lurching sensation as their atoms passed through dimensions. The door would then slam shut behind them, awaiting the next mage to turn the nob. Once inside, the students would see nothing...it was a great blackness that simply existed and could be walked on, there seemed no walls, but if they tried to go back the way they came, they'd run into the edge of the dimension, quite painfully as experience might have it. Fear not, for the students will still be able to see. Some strange force allowing them to see their own body parts as well as every thing els that was inside the blackness, they just couldn't see the edges of it...the floors, the walls, the ceiling if there was one, nothing.

Machal sighed as he walked along the long corridor. He had come to the academy with two goals in mind. To master his wenruru arts and learn some other magic. So far he had gotten a bit better with his forms and combat skills, but marginally at best. As for any other kind of magic... Well he hadn't learned a single thing except how painful a variety of technicolor fireballs could be. The truth was that for an academy there weren't that many classes occurring and teachers seemed to enjoy tormenting students more then teaching them.
So it was with little hope that Machal checked the class board only to be pleasantly surprised. He examined a flier for a moment and considered. How strange that the class would be announced so simply. Still, a class was a class. Besides, Dimensionalism sounded kind of cool.
Taking a black pen from his quite empty backpack Machal signed his name on the first spot in a steady black lettering.
1.Machal Terrence
He was quite surprised when he was suddenly confronted by a small sprite. It yawned for a moment right in Machal's face before speaking. "What, that time already? Fine, follow me." With that the spirit sped off.
Machal followed the sprite, keeping up with it easily before they finally reached the closet. "Well, here we are. Good luck, kid" The spirit said before vanishing as quickly as it appeared.
Machal puzzled over the door for a moment. "A closet? Is this some kind of mistake?" Machal looked to ether side and saw normal classroom doors. After testing them both quickly and finding them locked he returned to the door puzzled. "Perhaps more meets the eye..." He considered as he opened the door.
"Eh he he he..." He laughed nervously as he stared at the blackness. "Well that's... not what I expected. Still, I guess this must be the place then." Machal made as if to enter then paused, tired again then stopped, then appeared to turn away before spinning quickly and lunging through.
...To land on his face on the other side. Machal picked himself up and brushed himself off. He looked around for a moment only to see nothing. He then examined his arms and was great full that he could still see them. Still, sight had never been a sense that Machal had relied on much and he took a big whiff of the air. Regardless of sight Machal would be able to pick up if anyone had been here or neer here in the past several hours, or even if they were here now.

Raiden walked the halls looking at the bulletin boards for an interesting class. The only thing about was that every class was interesting. Raiden needed to pick one though, because they were filling up fast. As he scanned the wall, something immediately caught his attention.
Hmm? Di~men~sion~alism?
Raiden automatically caught what the main focus of this class was. Raiden on first guess assumed in was maybe something like transportation...like his 'Substitutions'. Well, wasting no time Raiden pulled out a pen and jotted his name down with lightning speed.
2. Raiden Matsutani
Alright, no where too...
Raiden looked back and forth down the hallway before taking a glance at the board again. As he did so, the spirit was smack dab in front of his face. "WAAH!?" Startled Raiden fell backwards in shock. That spirit really caught Raiden off guard...
Gaining his composure back Raiden picked himself up off the floor and looked at the board again. The spirit was still there waiting for him. Raiden followed the spirit all the way to the broom closet, which in fact perplexed Raiden at why they stopped here. It was obvious that class may be inside, but Raiden was a little skeptical. Maybe the spirit is playing a trick on me... Raiden slowly opened the door and peaked in with only his head.
Raiden for a second there...thought he was exactly right... He was wrong though...class was indeed on the other side. Raiden sniffed around for a bit before something suddenly grabbing him."What the? Hey!!" Raiden without further warning was pulled into the gate. Raiden felt his stomach lurch a little as he reappeared. Everything happened in an instant...even faster than anything Raiden could do. Strangely though it had the same feeling his 'Substitution' give him.
W-Where am I?
Raiden was stiff as he floated in this dark abyss. He was now beginning to become extremely skeptical that this is class. Well...he couldn't run so there wasn't much to do, but just float there... Some one else was here, but in all this darkness it was hard to tell where they exact was.

....Penless....
There I was, standing in front of the bulletin board, reading over some of the courses that I could take to expand what I already knew. Something caught my pristine eye however. Dimensionalism. One could do a lot when messing around with dimensions, a lot of good, and a lot of damage. With the wave of my hand, I wrote my name in fine magical print, scorched into the paper. 3. Lilium KetherA moment later, a floating ball thing appeared much to my disdain. It guided me through the halls to a broom closet. Whomever thought of putting a dimensional rift inside a broom closet had no sense of humor at all. They were just a little mixed up in the head. It would have been funnier if they placed it behind a bathroom. That way many people would accidentally get trapped for a limited period of time. Like those scams on that TV thing. When showed the door, I casually opened it, and walked through with a twirl of my staff. Blast rifts and all their ilk. I felt like I was ripped apart, all warm, and cold at the same time in the rift. I traveled at high speeds through it, with my eyes closed. Normally, I'd keep them open. But this was a rather boring one. Plain and black. Why can't there be some fire? Or water or something pretty to look at for a while, eh?

Mantis was making a dull stroll down the hall. He had a free period now, and not much of any thing to do. Julie happily skipped along, clung to her brothers hand. Glancing over at the class board, the bug manipulator stopped abruptly, pulling back on his hand slightly to get his sister to come to a stop as well. "What is it brother?" She asked, innocently enough. "A class. Dimensionalism...Hmm." He contemplated what that was. He knew what Dimensions were, so Dimensionalism had to be a magic style using them. "Go back to the room, I'm gonna take a class."
Nodding and smiling, The little girl let go of her brothers hand, stepped back, and in a small flash of white light, was gone. Whipping out a simple black pen, the blonde young man marked down his name.
4. Mantis
"Woah!" He shouted, reeling back. "Not so loud kid, damn. This way." The floating, light purple, ball said, an eye partially shut in a wincing manner. It took off and the bewildered Mantis simply stared. " 'Ey, dumbass! This way!" It said, stopping a ways away at the corner. An eyebrow raised, Mantis jogged over to the corner, to keep the pace as the ball floated along, bobbing up and down.
They came to a stop infront of an odd sight. A closet. "Finally, the last one. See ya." It said, dissapearing. Looking around for a moment, Mantis shrugged and opened the door. "...Uhh...Yea." He said confused at the black wall looking thing infront of him, then, "Woah!" again as the blackness grabbed him and threw him through dimensions into the class room.
Or not.
"What the hell?" He said, standing and brushing himself off, he'd managed to roll on impact. He turned to see three people. Only one familiar. A rather tall man who'd been on Mantis' first mission...and an iritating one at that. The mission, not the man. How he was able to see those three, and his own body parts, but nothing els, was beyond him.

Sho was fully aware of the presence of all four students in the null scape as each arrived. He simply waited until they were all here. Or there. Location was really relevant, particularly when dealing with dimensions. In certain realms, a person could be standing on another's feet, and both feel as though they're on the ground. In others, you could be heading in four different directions at once. Infinite realities, infinite possibilities, infinite financies, impossibilities, and options. According to one particular theory of physics, for every decision, there is an infinite amount of possible other courses of action. As such, one can observe endless possibilities that keep forming as people in a certain dimension make their decisions.
There could be a dimension where earth is still in its primordial stages, just because the ooze hasn't evolved yet, or even the theory of spontaneous generation has yet to take hold and form that first bit of life. Another dimension could hold true that this planets sun became a red super giant instead of the 'average' sized, yellow star that it is in this realm, but that is getting way too complicated for these low ranking fellows. This sort of discussion would give even Mr. Takara here, master of Dimensionalism, a massive headache.
If the students looked up for any odd reason, and we're talking straight up, they'd notice an odd figure, partially black-clad, hovering way over head. Only thing was, that figure could be inches, or miles from their heads and they couldn't possibly know the difference, it was all a matter of perception.
Opening his eyes, the apparent young man, Sho Takara, angled himself into a sort of sitting position, slowly hovering toward the front of the area. Or front as the students might perceive it, since they'd come from the direction opposite Sho was now traveling. Some might call that entrance the back of the 'room'. Effectively making where Sho was going, the front. "Hello students." A light and friendly voice sounded, not echoing, and simply sounding as though it were coming from no more than a few feet in front of one's self.
Beginning to descend, or appearing so, after all, Sho could simply be moving the dimension so the students rose, the seemingly young teacher repositioned himself to a standing position. "I, am Sho Takara, your teacher for the day." He stated lightly, smiling with his brown eyes closed, and bowing slightly. The apparent planes met, and all five individuals would seem to be, and feel as though, they were all standing on a level floor. "This is a class on Dimensionalism, as you know." He began what would be a rather long bit of dialog. "The reason, as some of you may be wondering, that we are in this utter blackness, is simple. This is a null space, created by me, and used for various purposes.
"Today, those purposes are teaching, as this is the easiest form of realm to manipulate and move within. Once competent in this particular art, you will all be able to mold this space, and even create it. Though such acts will be tremendously draining." The last sentence was said with a slight warning tone. "Today, or rather, during this class, you will all be traveling to a very small handful of dimensions, to both get you used to transporting between dimensions as well as interacting with various forms of planes; our typical realm being the most basic, while one of the hardest to manipulate." He grinned, scanning over the group.
He gleaned some basic information about each of them by the way they stood and shuffled about. "Before we get into this, I'd like your names, and any questions you may have." He smiled pleasantly. Unlike some who's expressions may have been pleasant but empty, this mans was genuinely kind and happy.

Machal watched in fascination as the teacher 'descended'. He hadn't picked up a whiff of the man or heard him move, so this place must be definitely strange. As each of the other students had entered he had given them a slight nod from where he was and a smile. Recognizing Mantis from that strange mission that he had had, his first as a student, was simple enough. Raiden also seemed a bit familiar, but Machal hadn't been able to get any scent off during their last encounter so the person hadn't quite stuck. Lilium, on the other hand, was a completely new individual. Machal hadn't even ran into her residual scent around the campus before.
Machal turned to the teacher and gave a slight bow. "Machal Terrence a your service. So... Our own world is... basic?" Machal had a hard time believing in that, he thought the world was incredibly complex, and even more so as you learned more.

Raiden floated in silence as other students appeared. He's seen all of them before except for Mantis. Raiden wasn't the one on direct greetings and he remained silent.
Sooner or later the teacher appeared almost like out of thin air. Raiden never saw it coming since there was basically no smell in this dimension. It felt weird having your nose usage impared.
The teacher asked for everyone's names and Raiden guessed it was his turn to speak up. "R-Raiden," he said simply and plainly.

Could be worse. Could be a world filled with gigantic scarabs waiting to rip the bones out of our bodies before eating our skin. That would be very unpleasant. An utter void is lonely though. Reminded me of my life, alot.
Though now there were people there, and that just spoiled everything.
I'd be content with loneliness.
Now there were five people, including myself.
One person I knew already, Raiden. The teacher was a long winded bastard, explaining what was already known to me. Though I can't blame him, some of the people here might have been dim witted, if talented at all.
"Lily Catcher. And any questions I have can be ripped from your mind."
I was feeling bold that day. Not exactly up to dealing with a teacher that refused to escort his students to the class himself, and explain the obvious on the way. Rather than thrust them into a broom closet. I'm such a bitch sometimes.

Mantis nodded back to the tall man, and turned when he heard the voice. A slight look of surprise reached across his face as he saw the teacher who looked to be part of this...dimension, he guessed. A rather long winded speech, though not as bad as the history teachers, later, he asked for their names and questions.
The information had been basic enough, but he was as confused about the last statement in the speech as much as his friend over there. "Mantis, and my questions the same as his." He said simply nodding to Michal, as he was now known. This Lily woman seemed a bit hostile. Thats the way some people are he supposed. As far as ripping answers from the guys head...he kind of doubted it, it was a teacher we were talking about here. Most of the teachers, not that Mantis had seen many in any sort of skirmish, could rip most, if not all of the students a new ass.
Mantis looked back at this Sho character. He looked to be the youngest here. How on earth he was a teacher while being that young...though then again, they weren't exactly on earth.

His brown eyes were open, a smile still across his face. Sho waited for all the introductions before getting to the questions...or more so, question. Only Mr. Terrence seemed to have a question, though...Mantis, a name Sho though odd, had the same one. Before answering Michal, and apparently Mantis', question, he turned to the woman. "As for ripping answers from my head, I welcome you to try, Miss Catcher." Simple comment, said with a smile. Even in the face of possible agression, Takara's mood didn't falter. "As for the question. I did say realm, not world, my good Michal." He said that sentance with a firm, and sigular shake of an index figure, making a small point, hopefully not construde in a sarcastic manner. He did indeed say realm, not world. "Our world is indeed complex. Various chemicals, elements, patterns, and all sorts of other wonderful, dangerous, and confusing things. I don't pretend to understand how every thing works when it comes to the world, nor do I need to. This is not, after all, a science class. This is dimensionalism." He brought his hands behind his back. One more long winded speech, coming up. "Our realm, incase you would ask this next, is the most simple for a simple reason. Our world exists in a three dimensional plane. That is what is the most simple. A one dimensional existance is impossible, since that is naught but a line segment. A two dimensional existance is as well, since every one and every thing would be ontop of one another, things being brought out of and back into existance as things passed over one another." He paused for a breath, sitting back on seemingly nothing, and beginning to float in place. "As such, our three dimensional existance is the most simple. Observe." He formed a simple cube in his hand. It was nothing but a white transparent block, formed of mana. He then pointed to various sides with the next three words. " Length, width, height. Three diemsnions, simple. Now, when we add another dimension, it becomes a four dimensional object, obviously." He added that other dimension forming a rather odd shape. "This, is what is known as a Tessaract. It's a fairly odd shape, and something you may not be used to seeing, but it is a shape none the less." Another shift in mana and it changed again. "This, is a Pentaract, A five dimensional object. Correspondingly to these objects, there are multi dimensional planes. This realm, is on an ever shifting plane, since it is created. Three to infinity. The numbers are limitless when it comes to the ammount of dimensions one can form. As such, there are an inifinite ammount of realms, as well as types of realms. A tesseract dimension is limitless in it of itsself, so as far as we know, there is only one four dimensional realm." The figure dissapeared and Sho stood. "We now have two options, students. We can skip this realm, which is ever shifting, and go right into a four dimensional realm, which is confusing but rather easy to manipulate and cope with. As long as you have the mental fortitude, that is." He had returned to a standing position, only he was now upside down, "Or, we can stay here and learn to control and create this space." Now he waited for his students feed back. If they wanted to stay here, he would teach them how to mold this realm, as it was, they could only walk within it on the set plane that they were all standing on currently. Once the next step was taught, they would be able do as he was doing, and walk on any point within this space, diagonally, inverse, backwards, what have you.

"Um... It's Machal sir." Machal commented, though not too loudly. He was quite used to people getting it wrong anyways, most people just assumed it was an accent thing, or a typo if they saw it written down. Normally, Machal had no qualms about correcting people when they called him Michal, but this was a teacher and a particularly strange one at that.
As the teacher went on Machal did his best to pay attention, though it wasn't exactly easy with the complex subjects. Machal found his mind drifting back to a book he had once read back on earth that sounded a lot like this. Flatland, that was it. A strange, but interesting story about a square who had the fortune (or misfortune) to have the opportunity to talk with a sphere and learned that his own world was so simple compared to all that was out there.
Machal hadn't understood everything that he had read in the book, but now he felt a lot closer to that square of a schooler then anyone else he had ever read about. When the teacher asked the students whether to advance or not Machal thought back to those intreging shapes that he had just seen. "Well I wouldn't mind moving on if no one else objects." Well, time to talk to the sphere.

....Objection.... ("Well I object. You're throwing us into something dangerous, which could go wrong in any way. Let's get acclimated here first, then move on. It will only take a little while. A more thorough understanding of dimensional manipulation is required, I'm guessing, for the other realm.")I breathed, and flipped my staff underneath my bottom, to sit on it while hovering in nothingness. ("And my comment was that your questions about Dimensionalism, are my questions. You misunderstood me Young one.")I blinked prettily at him, showing the benevolence of my statement. Not all the people here at the academy understood my language entirely, so they often got confused as to what I was saying. Usually the understood what I was trying to communicate. This was a classical example. (OOC: The term Young One, is a term of endearment among Elohim.)

Since I've no word from Raiden as many times as I've tried and as far as I know, Lilium has left the board, I call this class to an unfortunate close.
Rewards:
+4 exp to each of you for your RPing and your patience over this past month.
