Megaman X4: Iris?

Zero cut his way through the Final Weapon, cursing the Repliforce as his sabre ang left and right, hewing through the mechaniliods.

"Damn it, Colonel! I diddn't want to, but I had to! It wasn't my fault!" He screamed, overcome with emotion. He slumped against the wall, and for the first time in his life, tears flowed free.

What did Iris think of him, now that he had killed her brother? She was missing from the Hunter's Base, so he assumed she had known instantly. They were part of the same being, after all. Seperated because of hard drive space, or some damn thing.

Zero diddn't know, or care. He had loved her, and he felt a sense of sadness as he opened the familliar door at the end of the hallway.

"So you're here, Zero." A familliar voice said to him. He nearly burst into tears once more, as he saw her face.

"Iris! Please, don't make me fight you! I.....Iris, I...."

"You're a monster, you killed him, even after I told you to try and talk to him!"

"I tried.......Iris.....please....I.....I...."

He struggled to get the words out. They could have been the words that could have stopped the fight before it happened.

He couldn't say it. He was a warrior, and it just wouldn't come out as he intended. He tried, he really did. Then he noriced the strange crystal that Iris was holding.

"Zero, forgive me. I'm going to kill you now.", Iris said, as the crystal fused with her.

She rushed at him, and a large purple Ride Armor started to materialize.

The battle had begun.

Yeah, I understand it might seem weird, but none of the characters seem to get any characterization, so I like to write things like this and give them my own.

Makes them seem less like "Shells" and more like "People", y'know?

As for the "Iris and Colonel being parts of the same reploid", I got that from a MMX manga, that was recently translated. If I can find it again, I'll post a link.

Stopped playing Megaman X series awhile ago. Don't worry though I still like it. Just on guessing you're a Zero fan right? Zero is awesome. The last X game I played was Megaman X6 right after the incident with Space Colony Euraisa being sent crashing into the Earth. Of course once again the same threat as always is Sigma hidden behind a lesser badguy.

Anyways I switch to Megaman Battle Network games unfournately it ended with Battle Network 6 Gregar and Falzar. Colonel and Iris where in it also. Am I a Megafreak? Yes, sir! Yes I am! ;D
