Eiyu no Jidai

I've devised a website simulating feudal Japanese times. Before you go off with this, it is real. If you know any of the Saga or RotK sites, it's quite similar. No stats, just RP. Currently, we reside in the town of of the castle of the Daimyo. This is a storyline I've devised. What came out of it was helped by one of this site's members, known in formal status as "The Watcher" or "Kiele," and help from a member of another site, Makaru. One storyline was partially... maybe 1/3 of the way done for the three of us?

The castle, Shiro sano Haru Kiku, or just Shiro Ikoma, is the vassal family's castle to the Oda. The Ikoma are my close relatives IRL. In the story, my character is a General for the Ikoma army. I won't get power hungry, don't worry. All character, unless specified by me, will start in the city. I won't be picky on your occupation, just ask. Oddly enough, Kiele(Ces) and Makaru started out as peasants.

Through the board, we'll go through so much, just as long as we get active members that stay active. Wars, unrequited love, secrets, lies, hidden truths, everything. As for character races, don't get carried away. Ces is half elf. I don't want any InuYasha, no Ichigo. Nothing like that. Keep it mostly real. I'll allow certain unreal things to the point where it's not quite DragonballZ or InuYasha. I'm not restricting that much, really. Just keep it fun and fair.

The board actally started on another site. There was a section for RP. Ces, Makaru, and I had one of the main threads. It was a small RP section because it wasn't a site ment for RP. I took that one thread and transposed it to this site. I decided to add all other things around it that had come into play but not used as much, such as the courts and the battlefield. They will most definately be used. Suggestions are always welcome. I'd love to have improvements if possible.

I might join. I just gotta do a bit more research on Sagas and RotK since I'm a martial artist IRL. What era of Feudal Japan does this take place in? Like century and all that.

guessing 1570-1580's.. That was around the time of Oda's Reign (very rough, as I think he was assassinated in 1582?)

So, Somewhere between 1570-1582.

Is there an allowed use of the very primitive single shot pistols, muskets, and rifles? Because I think those types of firearms were around during the Feudal Era. Also, what about the use of black powder explosives such as Chinese rockets?

I know those types of firearms were around due to commerce with the Chinese, the Koreans, the Southeast Asians, the British, the Dutch, the Portuguese, and the Spanish. Plus from what I read up, Oda welcomed the Westerners before they were expelled by the Tokugawa Shogunate.
