"Zeke was playing with the birds. I guess they don't like the idea of it jumping around after them." Zeke popped up from his hiding spot and wrapped it's arms over Ezra's shoulders, letting them drape down around his neck. For a second, it shook it's fist at the birds, like it was angry.
"And that's what you get for messing with them, buddy." Ezra reminded his construct of the consequences of bird-watching up close. "They're nuts sometimes, especially those crows."
"Nice trick, though." He mentioned to Jyo, indicating the wall of force he did. "My spells don't do things like that. They're mostly for fabrication and animation."

Jyo gave a laugh as he realized Ezra was right. "Well at least thats all there is to that. Mabey it learned. I can tell Zeke isn't dumb at all. Very smart really." he said. Zeke had a presence that showed there was much more then some cute fuzzy thing.
"As for my magic. Well that was one of the more personal styles I have. I can create solid force out of cencetrated magic. I'lls use it like a shield or ranged attack. It was tricky to harness but it's useful." He said. His hands were tingling as they always did when using that form of his powers. But it was getting easier and easier to do and the tingling didn;t last as long meaning he was getting good at channeling it.
"So it seems we are on different ends of the spectrum so to say. But still I know you're styeling in magic is poweful. I wish my talents would led there at least for a litt.e" he said.

"If you want to try some of my style, you could always try a repair spell. They're basic. But then again, they're also really powerful. If your sword broke or something, a quick repair spell could bring it back to full strength. Of course, the more you have to mend, the more mana you pump into it, but that's how it works normally anyway."
Taking a look at Zeke, or at least the best he could with the little lion hanging around his neck, he had to ponder the intelligence of the stuffed animal. Nobody knew if it was sentient, or purely programming. Maybe it was even emotionally linked to him in some odd way. But it was there, and that was what mattered. "Even I don't know if it thinks, or learns. But it does show some odd traits you'd only see in a person, so maybe he does have a brain in all the fluff."

"I would guess you're seventeen or eitheen right? So it would be nearly ten years old now. Like us he was grown. Even if Zeke started out just as nothing more than something like a robot you have just refered to Zeke as 'he'. So Zeke has a personality and is as real as you or myself right?" Jyo said picking the facts aprart from what he knew.

Ziare walked into the yard and saw Jyo talking to a boy she had seen in her Magic 101 class. They seemed to be having a good conversation and the cute animal next to the boy was there was well having fun. She watched from across the yard as the birds chased him and Jyo protected him it was cute. The animal acted very much like a little cat. She walked over sitting on the ground clutching her knees to her chest.
"Hi, hope you guys don't mind if I join you." she said smiling at both Jyo and the boy. "I saw what happened with your friend there would he like someone to play with that won't attack him like that? I can give him a playmate tempoarily if you like." she offered kindly.

Jyo turned and smiled seeing Ziare. "Wondered where you went after class. I must have just not looked right." He said walking over to her. She mentioned giveing Zeke a playmante. He figued she meant her summoning. He was quite interested.
He stopped when standing right by her and sat down next to her.

"I referred to Zeke as a 'he'?" Ezra didn't recall his own words until that comment. It was a little odd for him to have begun to give it more human terms. For so long, he had been taught scientifically, so calling a normally inanimate object a he wasn't normal. But the words were there in his mind, he had even wondered if "he had a brain in all that fluff".
"I guess I did-" His thought got interrupted by a voice.
"Hi, hope you guys don't mind if I join you."
In all of his thinking, he didn't pay attention to the girl that sat across from him in the classroom during Magic 101. She was the happy kind of girl, and in a way, typical. But she tried to be nice, and Jyo knew her, so he couldn't just brush her off as another annoyance.
"If you want to play with Zeke, sure, I guess. But be careful with him, he's kind of precious to me, you know?" He felt Zeke fall off of his shoulders and hop on over to the girl. Neither of them had any clue what magic she did, but Zeke was friendly enough. He got right next to her and poked her shoulder, cocking it's head sideways, like it was curious.
<"I used 'he' again, odd. . .">

"Well it isn't that I wouldn't like to play with this sweet guy myself but I think I have someone he might like to play with more than me." she said taking Zeke and setting him down in front of him. "Stay here for just a second okay buddy?"
She closed her eyes which allowed her to concentrate more. She called up the power of fire and she new that it glowed in her hand that was held outstretched palm up. The fire would begin to take shape a loose shape of a dragon form. It was then she would decide if it was solid or transparent. She tought solid was better. She let Armenius take his shape and made him solid much easier to play with. He was a bright red color with wings that were porportioned to his body. His stomach was the color of a glowing ember and his eyes were the blue of only the hottest flame. His tail she left blunt so he wouldn't accidently hurt Zeke. She opened her eyes and in her hand stood Armenius growing almost too big to fit in her palm. She was go to have to learn to cast this outside of her palm soon.
"Armenius it's good to see you." she said in greeting.
Armenius was unable to speak she was not sure if he would be able to later she kind of hoped so but she sure liked talking to him. In greeting Armenius crawled up her shoulder his claws digging into her sweater but careful not to rip or snag. Her perched on her shoulder and rubbed his angled head on her cheek and opened his mouth in wanting. She picked him up and placed him on the ground giving him a rub down his back. Armenius many times acted like a cat and she always thought he was terribly cute. She was definatly her favorite summon.
"I have a playmate for you Armenius." she told him pointing at Zeke. "His name is Zeke." Armenius looked over and began to sniff out Zeke. Then being his happy go lucky self he trotted over and rubbed up against Zeke ready to play. Armenius was already running circles around Zeke waiting for him to play.

Jyo's eyes went wide watching the summoning. He had read alot about it but actually seeing it in person was something different all on it's own. The fire elemental was virtualy a small dragon. Armenius was something more like a pet from the way he acted.
"So thats a summon. I've never seen one before up close like this." He said in a somewhat wispy voice.

Ziare blushed at the comment. Coming from Jyo his amazment was as good as any complement.
"Yes this is Armenius my main summon." she said and smiled still watching Armenius run around. She knew too well that when he needed to he could become mean and serious but not unless Ziare gave him a cue.

Summoning. It was like having a temporary construct, but they were more powerful. The tradeoff to power was energy expediture, and summoning could take a lot out of people. But then again, the power was often worth it, and the summon could always be brought back, as it was often a spirit or a solid manifestation of mana. At least, that's how he had read that it was done. It was his first time seeing a summon, but it wasn't amazingly impressive. To him, it was just another spell. But any spell had to potential to do something great. That was what made them "magic".
And Zeke seemed all to happy to be there with the little dragon. He picked it up with both paws, and held it up in front of his face with that same curious head-tilt. It was kind of interesting to see two different animatted magics meet and interact. All too often, the meeting of magics was for a hostile purpose, so it was good to see a friendly interaction.

How interesting. Seeing two lifeforms comprised of magical means meeting and being...Friends. This definatly is a sign that there can be peace with magic He thought watching Zeke and the small dragon.
It was like watching children at play and jyo had the feeling that description was high accurate.

Ziare laughed.
"How cute." she said sweetly. "I don't think we've been formally introduced.." she said holding her hand out to Ezra. "I'm Ziare."

While Zeke and Armenius romped round and did their thing, Ezra watched, still looking a little sad as usual. It was nice though, that at least Zeke could make friends easily. Ezra wasn't exactly as trusting of the two, or rather three. He had no reason to be suspicious, and he wasn't but he was still sort of isolated from the people around him.
"Ezra. . ." His voice was distant, and he didn't even notice the hand extended to him. He just kept watching, almost like he was entranced.

Ziare took back her hand without letting it phase her. She noticed he was more reserved than most people she had met here.
"Pleasure to meet you Ezra. I love Zeke it's not only that he's cute but a true show of magical talent. It's amazing." she said her voice showed her awe.
