Mikon dove low, running right into Zeke and cuddling against him. Then squeaked, jumping anf flying high, flying so quickly his acrobatics were hard to make out but they were visible. Mikon was showing off for his new friend.
Talbot thought for a moment, "He's a heirloom familiar, a few more generations and he'll become a summon. He's been with every female in my family since my great-great grandmother's great great grandmother. Mikon may seem like a youngling but he's actually very old magic. Supposedly there are others like him- just four all together- I hope to find them."

“Odd.” One-word comments, had to love them. They offered so little in the way of conversation, but just as much as a whole sentence, or even a speech, when it came to understanding a person through the way they spoke. Of course, one had to be able to understand the way people expressed themselves through speech to get a lot out of a one-word response. But his manner of speaking would normally imply a sort of distant uncaring. To an extent, it was true. But he also knew that later, he’d be investigating the transformation of familiar into summon.

Talbot shrugged, "I guess."
She had no whitty remarks, she wanted to win him over as an ally if anything- sparring with him may be fun one day and even then, if he ever warmed up to her maybe they could discuss some inventions- he looked like a tinkerer, maybe creation magic?
Talbot looked over at Zeke and Mikon, Mikon was still showing off only now he was showing how close tot he ground he could get without getting hurt.
"So what was the game you were playing with him called?"

He though she would have figured it out by the time she had gotten back to him. Maybe she hadn't see his leg after all. But he felt like it wouldn't be a problem to show her, even if he was embarrassed over it. Rolling up his left pants leg, he showed a metal leg. It looked more like a skeleton's leg than a fully human one, with metallic bones. A single hydraulic pump was installed to give his leg realistic movement.
"It's normally called tag. But for me, it's rehabilitation."

Talbot looked for a moment, then met his eyes and smiled, "I saw you leg already- I just didn't know if you were comfortable talking about it-" she blushed lightly, "I honestly didn't know what game you were playing- I've never seen it played before."
Talbot looked away, her gaze embarassed and defiant, she had been somewhat kept away from things like that- frivilous play.
"If you want- I could train with you and get you back into top fighting shape."
She wasn't the kind to pull one-eighty's and kick a weakers butt- for all she knew he could wave a hand and kill her in one quick move- but still, this was only one of many ways of offering her friendship. She took another piece of the homemade candy and popped it into her mouth.

Back into top fighting shape? What if he didn't have a fighting shape? Since he lost his leg, combat kept him frozen and incapable of movement. Almost dying at the age of eight did that to people. "I don't fight. I don't know how. And I felt really bad when I couldn't fight in class, like everyone else. But, I can't."
"Besides, I'm not built for combat. My spells do nothing but help to shape and repair materials. Well, and make them move. But when I made Zeke, I never tried to add in any combat capabilities. I'm afraid that if I did try now, he wouldn't function as he does now. I want to keep Zeke around and 'alive', for obvious reasons."

Talbot nodded slightly, taking the orange candy out of her mouth and holding it up to the sky, the light shinig orange on her face, "Well how about you both let me teach you? You'd be surprised how well an ability like yours would come in handy on a battlefield. The ability to create and repair- all I've got it wind abilities and a little big of dark but the ability to create is such a rare and wonderful gift."
She smiled, "Anyways- what could it hurt to try?"

"I know what it could do. Being in control of several constructs would make me an entire squad. And if I played my cards right, I'd be able to execute battle tactics that would put the opposing force to shame. I've been told that a lot. Guess I just don't want to risk it, or something." Yeah, he was sacred. Zeke could get blasted away, or he could lose another leg, possibly worse. With a sigh, he realized that he was still the weakling form ten years ago.
"And besides, there's a little saying on the battlefield; 'Blast the healer first.' You know?" Now he was just making excuses.

Talbot laughed, wind chimes dancing in the sound of it, "You're just being silly now! And anyways- I've been in plenty of fights and I have the healing ability- here I am alive and well. Plus-" she winked at him smiling jovially, "I'd make sure you stayed safe and since you just finsihed saying you could make contructs to protect you how in the world could you get hurt?"
Talbot popped the candy back into her mouth, taking a blue piece from her pocket and tossing it in the air as Mikon swooped by and snatched it up, eating it as he did backflips for Zeke to chase.

"I can think of a lot of ways." Maybe Ezra was being paranoid, but even with constucts, he could still get hit by spells, especially of the elemental kinds. There were a lot of spells meant to go around shields, and he wouldn't feel right sending constucts to battle without being there to help them.
"But. . . Thanks. . ."

Talbot nodded, reaching for a new piece of candy, "Just remember the offer stands. I think you'd have fun- and if anything training with me would help get you rehabilitaed almost as quickly as your game with him."
She sighed softly, he was an odd one but she didn't mind- she too had her quirks. Like the sudden need to tell a cook off for the familiar smell of apple pie, she however could smell the missed measurement of vanilla. Shame on them! But she stayed here, maybe she'd luck out- he already seemed to be warming up to her a little bit.
Mikon flew over landing on Ezra's shoulder and cuddled up to his cheek. Then squeaked having given the boy a quick thank you for letting Zeke play- before zooming back to Zeke and circling him.

"Just once, all right?" Ezra gave in to the girl's request. Yeah, he was weak-willed too. "But just not right now. Kind of tired out because of Zeke. Just wathcing him and that little sqeaker tires me out. It's like they never run out of energy or anything. Kind of jealous." Normally, that would be something to laugh a little at, but he wasn't that kind of guy at the moment. He really was tired, maybe it was why he just sort of gave in and let her give him a training session sometime. He was alittle surprised the 'little squeaker' rush over to do it's thing and run off agian. Ezra could see that that thing could get annoying at times. Maybe that was it's power, supreme-annoying-hyper-riffic-ness, or something.

Mikon cast air ball and rolled it to Zeke in attempt to play fetch- if Zeke would throw it Mikon would get it! They could even take turns!
Talbot nodded, "I know what you mean- Mikon's got more enegry than anyone I know but I think Zeke may be his match."
Taking out a small bottle, she drank from it- the liquid was a soft ambrosia color and when the sun reflected through it the shine took on a golden hue. She put the bottle away and hummed softly before saing, "If Mikon bothers you just exhale loudly when he comes near you- he'll turn around. No worries, he's just quirky like that. Moves with the breath and such."
Then she tilted her head to the side, "Well meditation is apart of the training I give so if you're tired you should meditate- or nap. Napping is always fun."

Meditate? Never been into all that Zen Buddhist stuff. Ezra shurgged, content to just lay against whatever wall he was up against. "I just never have energy, that's all." Maybe it was because all he did was study and rack his brain for answers. Long cram sessions didn't help either. But Zeke didn't need to study, or sleep, so he was constantly zippier than a five-year-old on a case of energy drinks.
Speaking of him, he was holding the air ball like it was some sort of new, foriegn object. He tossed it towards Mikon, who had to duck to avoid the thing. Zeke was supposed to throw it out somewhere to play fetch, not play catch. But he didn't know that until after he threw it.

Mikon dodged the air ball and zoomed after it, picking it up and bringing it back. Mikon chittered to Zeke, as if to say, 'Good throw' and groomed for a moment purring.
Talbot nodded slighty, "Sounds like you need to learn to balance your day. You take a full 10 classes a day?"
She asked because the more they talked the more he seemed like a thinker- a brain, if you will. Nothing wrong with that only brain and brawn mixed pretty well sometimes. He'd be great for a mission with lots of defence needs and healing. And the rule was take out the weaker and sometimes the healer was not the weakest- but Talbot kept that to herself.
