Talbot stared at the food on her plate- one bite of the macarnoi had made her descide against finishing her meal. With a heavy sigh she pulled an apple, pen and paper from her bag and started writing out instructions on how to cook better tasting food. She covered every food on her plate- from the over peppered beef noodle soup to the salty macaroni to the over cooked black eyed peas.
She mumbled softly and finished her apple- having now written six pages on prper cooking of food, thanks to other students and their expressions from what they had eaten. Talbot gathered her possessions together, walked right into the kitchens and taped the papers to the chest of the head cook. Then left both the kitchen and the cafeteria.
She went outside- lunch was still for another thirty or fourty minutes anyways. Sat down under a tree and opened a cookbook- potions mostly but then again everyone can sneak a few ingredients from stone soup and scalloped potatoes au gratin. She began humming and writing notes along the edges of her book.

Somebody else had just shown up in the outside area. Normally, there were only a few people, those who were enjoying the feel of the sun and the gentle breeze. Or those who were doing homework and wanted some silence. But Ezra was out there to play tag with Zeke. Sure, it would seem odd for a seventeen-year-old guy to be playing tag with a stuffed doll, but it had ti's purpose.
His artificial leg was being worked out, and playing tag helped Ezra develop a more fluid use of his leg, so his walking wouldn't appear awkward. As it was, nobody could tell he had only one leg, but he didn't like the idea of anyone finding out. So he made time eyeryday to play a game of Tag with Zeke, who was faster than himself. So naturally, he was usually "it".
He ducked around corners leapt over benches, and whatever else he had to do to catch the lion-like constuct, but the little guy was just too ziggy and zaggy for Ezra to catch up to. And to make it worse, Zeke doubled back and ripped right past Ezra, causing him to stop suddenly and fall while trying to reverse his direction.
"Ow! Zeke, get over here. . ." Ezra called his constuct, who obviously walked over, following orders. Getting up, he placed his hand on Zeke's shoulder. "Tag, you're it!" He said and bolted for the trees. Zeke, in its silent but animated way, threw it's arms up and stomped it's foot. Then it gave chase to Ezra, jumping over Talbot in the process, and running over someobdy else's homework.

Talbot looked up and sighed, she wasn't some obstacle to be jumped over and she certainly wasn't liking the disturbance by the student whining about their homework. Talbot stood and watched the two play. It was cute, but then again they were disturbing others and making more racket than necessary though- in truth she had no idea what they were playing.
Talbot watched for a while longer before setting away her book and pen, the as the two doubled back once again she waved a small hurdle of air, a tiny wall right in the way of the path the two were going- it would be like being nailed by a pillow- but it would give her reason to talk to them- and to find out what the game was about.

Like dominoes, Ezra tripped over the "pillow" of air, too distracted by the game to notice the alomost impossible to see air-distortion. Even if he had been looking, it would have taken him a while to see it anyway. But then Zeke made the same mistake, falling right on top of Ezra. Sure, that meant he had been tagged, but there was a more pressing issue, what the cr*p happened to them.
They both got up, Zeke shaking it's head vigorously and Ezra rubbing his. Neither of them could tell where the mall had come from, and now were just looking for any indication of who or waht made the effect.

Not only did they fail to notice the wall but one had fallen ontop of the other- were these two a few boulders short of a mountain?
Talbot crossed her arms and walked over, canceling the spell with a slight wave. She looked the two over before saying, "You two aren't very graceful are you?"
Reguardless of her tone she sighed, "Neither of you are hurt right?"

Ezra got up and glared at the girl. With nothing to say, he just got to walking away. It was obvious their presence wasn't exactly welcome. Zeke showed his disapproval by shaking a fist at her and joining Ezra. The construct obviously couldn't talk, but Ezra wasn't exactly going to talk either. It was people like this that pissed him off.
Maybe it was rude, but then again, she had been rude too. Eye for an eye, and all that junk.

Talbot put a hand on her forehead, she sighed Nice going, Idiot. You hurt his feelings.
It was easy enough to catch up with him, Talbot put her hand on his shoulder, "No need to walk away- I- I'm sorry. I'm a little rough sometimes- I really did want to make sure you didn't get hurt."
You're such an idiot, Talbot- you should have just-
She stuck out her left hand, "I'm Talbot Linsorim."

Feeling the hand on his shoulder, it seemed she was apologetic, and her words confirmed that. Most people would have been all good with accepting the apology and being nice. Ezra wasn't most people, he was an adamant anti-social, to say the least. Shrugging the hand off of his shoulder, he kept walking, not caring to deal with her.
But Zeke was indecisive. He looked at her, then back at Ezra. A few more look-backs, and he trotted over to his creator, pulling on his pant leg.
"Not now, Zeke. . . I don't care. . ." Ezra kept walking, while Zeke tagged along, looking back apologetically at her.

She cast another wall right infront of him.
She had offered not only an appology but a handshake and Gods helps anyone who denied her kindness. She would not accept a rejection like this- especially when she was in such a good mood concidering the bad cooking she had faced earlier.
This anti-social boy would learn that she could be his best friend or worse enemy- there was no space in between for her and Gods help anyone who couldn't figure that out.

Hearing some movement, he decided to make sure he wasn't about to run into another one of those walls. Sicking out his hand, he felt it collide with air. Annoying at best. But then again, as long as she was around, he was going to be continuously annoyed. Just great.
"Why won't you just let me go, huh?" He didn't even turn to ask her. All he wanted now was to get away from the girl he obviously pissed off. "It's obvious I wasn't wanted back there, so why keep messing with me. I'm out of your way now."

Talbot moved to right infront of him, she gave no hint of anger or annoyance- more like a humble patience. "Who said you weren't wanted?"
Talbot scuffed the dirt, looking bashful, "I didn't care that your friend jumped over me or that whiner. I was trying to stop you for a moment to ask what you were playing- "

Still annoying. Oh so very annoying. It didn't matter what was going on or what her reasons were anymore. Once he was set to not deal with anyone, he was hard to turn back, probably impossible. She was just like any other annoying person he had to deal with, persistent until they reach a breaking point and give up. Then they'd avoid him.
"Well, it doesn't matter, now that we're done, does it?" Maybe he was being too rude, and he wasn't exactly fond of people. But, then again, now he wasn't feeling like being there. "And did it ever occur to you to ask, you know, like a normal person?"

"I didn't want you to strike out at me-" she said softly before looking away from him, her attention now on his companion.
She extended a hand to the little being, "You seem friendly. I'm Talbot and you're very cute."
If anything maybe the boy would warm up to her if she befriended his companion- she hoped maybe the feeling of tears would go away with this subkect change. Too bad for this guy he wouldn't be able to shake her easily, the more you tried to get rid of her the more persisitant she became.

Ezra himself walked away, using her distraction to go around the wall. When he needed to, he could just summon Zeke to his position. A simple spell, as long as his personal crest was on the object h wanted to bring to him. Zeke had the broken gear logo on the underside of his paws, so he could be brought whenever.
But Zeke was happy, as usual. He gladly put both of his paws on either side of her hand and jumped up and down. His quirky personality was like a small child or an excited puppy. It fit really well with the time he was made, and the "cute" appearance.

She smiled softly at the jovial creature, "You're a happy one- playing opposites with your friend maybe?"
She didn't mind the going around the wall, infact she had canceled the spell as soon as the boy had moved around it. She kept her attention on the happy creature, "Maybe when he's calmed down you could let him know I'm sorry- I really was interested in the game but a few of the people I've tried to talk to have lashed out too quickly to have any real conversations- I suppose I was testing the waters- yeah? But despite that I think your friend is a nice person underneath the front," she winked, "yeah?"
