Getting Acquianted

[Lucian]

Lucian nodded, "My rune magic takes advantage of the elements too, not as primarily as yours I assume but I do have a few elemental spells," he said as they rounded a corner, "Are you training in any other form of magic?" Lucian inquired, curiou as to how others in the school approached their magical training.

Jyo nodded.
"Yeah a few types. i have a small grasp on wind magic. Only one spell really. then there is my small amount of mental powers. But I'm going to wait for an instructor to help me harness it better. Then there is another form of Magic I use which i suspec to be light magic. And fnally I have a spell that doubles the rate I can move at." He said. Being a battle-mage Jyo was very verisitile to a point. His spells were heavy combat spells making him a very fearsome foe to tangle with for his young age.

"How about you. What are the basics of what you have to work with?" he asked

[Lucian]

"Mostly combat spells as well, except probably in a different manner than yours. I incorporate my spells in to my hand-to-hand fighting, most of my skills can be used in a punch or to give me some sort of advantage in hand-to-hand combat, defensively or offensively. I also have a few ranged spells, but mostly I prefer going toe to toe with my opponent," he said as they continued walking.

Jyo grinned.
"So we have a similar styeling yet different branches of magic. Very interesting. I'm sure you'de make a good battle-mage or the like. I too would rather be up close. The ranged spells are because I'm not stupid. If someone else has such spells I want something to throw back. But melee combat is my prefered form of fighting." he said.

[Lucian]

Lucian grinned, "Ah a fellow lover of art of melee combat, it's good to know I'm not the only one. I thought I'd be quite out of place when I got here because I was under the impression that you all would just be throwing fireballs at each other the whole time and obviously my melee-centered combat style would be sorely out of place. But now I am glad to realize that I was sorely mistaken," he said, chuckling softly.

"Actually you and I are not as alone in that aspect as you may think. Though it is not required the Academy highly encourages it's students to be physically fit. I and several others haven taken great advantage of the thraining options here. I'm sure you'll meet many who are able to go head to head with you." he said as they rounded the corner to the dormatory area.

"Not saying there aren't those who are such heavly based magic useres that they tend to be able to just blast some people away." he said

[Lucian]

Lucian grinned, "It would be an interesting challenge to go up against a heavily-magic based opponent," he said, laughing faintly at the idea of such a great challenge, "It would certainly put my abilities to the test...." he said wistfully.

They soon came to Lucian's room.
"Yes such a battle is interesting. I'm sure you'll run across it at some point or another. Just have too keep your eyes peeled." he said witha grin. He had gone against a strict magic user. they were challenging foes.

"Well this is your room. I'm a bit down the hall if you ever want to drop by for a chat." he said

[Lucian]

Lucian nodded, "Thank you Jyo, I appreciate your help. Anytime you want a good brawl just let me know," he said with a grin as he opened the door to his room, "Until next we meet," he said stepping into the room and closing the door as he started to arrange things to his liking.

"Not a porblem. And I'll keep your offer in mind." he said and then gave a wave in way of his leave.
He headed to his own room. A nice cup of tea sounded really good
