The outdoors is a wonderful place to get away from it all without really having to go anywhere. It was early evening and the sky was streaked with pinks and oranges of the beginnings of a sunset. Lienn walked slowly about the grounds, taking in everything...it was quite peaceful. A small smile played about the lips of the young woman as she paused every now and then to soak up the atmosphere. Her white peasant skirt flitted slightly about her legs in the light breeze, as did her pale blonde hair about her face and back. As she walked along, she began to sing softly under her breath..
"Abandon entroure d'abandon, tendresse touchant aux tendresses, C'est ton interieur qui sans cesse se caresse, dirait-on, ditrait-on, dirait-on.."
It wasn’t hard for her to become lost in her thoughts as the evening began to drown her senses, she didn’t even notice someone coming up behind her..

The Priest heard her voice before he saw her. A majestic beauty, she was one of the only girls to ever garner his attention so fully.
Walking down one of the many opened corridors, The Priest caught site of her outside. He walked out, cautiously as he didn't know her feelings for him, and gently touched her on the shoulder...
Hello.... Lienn...

Lienn ceased singing as a someone came up behind her and touching her shoulder. Her first instinct was a reach for her dagger, but the voice that spoke was deep and soft, and not at all menacing. Even still, she gasped, spining around to face him, a surprised look on her face. She immediatley recognized him, however, and her expression warmed up.
"Oh, hello Priest, you scared me.."
She smiled, clutching a hand to her chest as she began breathing normally again. She stumbled slightly over him name, still feeling a bit awkward at calling him a title rather than a real name..it just seemed odd somehow.
"What brings you out here?"

Nervously running his hand through his hair, he loooked down, then up.
I was just gathering... specimens....
The Priest chuckles, as he had been collecting certain herbs and fungi for a friend of his... for elicit reasons.
He smiled with a grin that spread across his face. Her radiating beauty brought only a sense of pleasure to Priest, and he began to walk with her.
What brought you out here?

Lienn tilted her head slightly as he appeared to be quite nervous. Was it her? No matter, he seemed to be masking it fairly well when he chuckled. The blonde girl lightly kicked her bare feet at the grass as they walked, lips puckering into a thoughtful frown.
"I don't know, it just seems nice out here, don't you think?"
She glanced back up at the sky, the streaks of red and pink lengthening to span the entire horizon. She smiled, the sunset relfecting in her pale eyes as she watched it.
"It's so beautiful.."

Faintly, almost inaudibly, he whispered, "Like you". He turned toward the sunset, the sun eliminating the shadow that was usually cast upon his chizzled features. He looked as though he were made of stone, a stern jaw, sunken cheeks, and a straight nose. His eyes, an emerald green, pierced from his sockets, and seemingly bored a hole through the sun.
So... how have things been since I last saw you?

She faltered slightly as she thought he muttered something, inquisitive ashen eyes glancing up at his tall frame that was almost silhouetted against the sunset sky. Wow. It too her a moment to realize he had spoken again, and a question as well. "Oh, well, I've been good. Can't complain or anything...and yourself?"
Their conversation was quite...what was the word? Formal. How've you been? How're the kids? Win the lotto? She couldn't help but frown the slightest bit, though this passed unnoticed to the tall man, as he wasn't facing her, and her voice didn't give it away. She was quite good at masking her feelings when she felt like it, it was a useful tool in combat...or conversation.

And yet, isn't conversation just combat in a different form? Wasn't it the old Japanese saying, "Let us speak with our blades," ?
Either way, Priest was certain that if they were battling, he'd be losing horribly.
Blushing again, knowing that he wasn't being himself around her, he looked to her again.Oh, things are, okay... Just been, seeing to the needy, as always....He brought a hand to the back of his head as he looked to the side, his face had a wierd sort of grin on it, almost like . He couldn't express himself around her, as if everything about her screamed in his head...

She smirked at the helping the needy comment, that was quite nice, but a confused frown passed over the blonde girl's face again at his actions. He seemed uncomfortable for some reason...was it her? Walking over to a stone bench overlooking the horizon, she sat down, golden tresses falling into her face as she looked at the ground. After a moment she looked back up at her tall friend, fishing for conversation..
"So..why do go by 'Priest' if you're not clergy? ...i-if you don't mind my asking.."
She blushed slightly, finding sudden interest at the flora at her feet.

The Priest laughed a litttle, having heard the question many a time. She seemed embarrassed to ask, but he knew that was a common reaction.
Well, you mean, besides how I'm dressed?
I lived in a Russian monastery, and I was always known to help the people around. They called me Father, until I told them I was not. Then, they called me The Priest, and it just stuck.
And when I left, their fittest of men left with me. They told everyone, in every town we stopped in, who I was and what I did.
That is, until they died...
A single tear dropped from The Priests eye. His head was lowered, his hat removed and crinkled in his hand. The tear hit the ground with an audible drip.

Lienn smirked when he laughed, it was quite contagious. When he began to talk about the reason behind his name, she regretted asking, as it obviously upset him. She opened her mouth to appologize before realizing that he probably got that a lot.
"I, um.."
She faltered, stumbling over her words as she tried to find the right response. She tugged lightly on the end of one of her golden tresses nervously.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to...I mean, you didn't have to...it was quite prying of me.."

Both of them were murdered. We were in France. We had just come from visiting a Monastery, when a few monks came out. They pointed at me, and two brandished pitchforks, one with a crop scythe, and the final with a Magnum. All four of them charged at me and my two companions. They both yelled for me to leave while I could, so I did...
They were both killed, and those monks thought they had shot me, as I jumped into a river, and floated downstream.
I found their bodies, two days after. I tried, and tried, to ressurect them, but I failed to efficiently trap their soul within their body, which is a drawback of such minor necromancy knowledge.
So, I devouted myself to my studies...
The Priest continued as though she had never spoken. THis story had never been told to anyone he knew. He trusted her, to say the least, and possibly...
loved, her?
No, it couldn't be...

Lienn's expression changed from nervousness to sympathetic devastation, 'how terrible..' She could tell by the look in his eyes that this was something he didn't normally share with just anybody, so why her? Her heart ached at his story, and she knew that no platitude of sympathetic understanding would make him feel better about it. She stood from her seat at the bench and placed a hand on lightly on his arm, her face a mixture of emotions..She looked up at him, here eyes misting slightly, but she steadied her voice and even managed a weak smile.
"I'm glad you feel you could share this with me.."
She said honestly, her voice was soft and sad, yet optimistic and strong at the same time.

He looked up, visible trails of tears making their way steadily down his face. He brought a giant sleeve up, and wiped them away. Standing, he looked at her, his eyes melting into her.
I've never trusted someone this much before...

'I've never trusted someone this much before..' The words rattled around in her mind even as he said them. A brief moment passed in silence as she watched him with her pale eyes that reflected the pink color of the sky. Finally, lips parted to speak.
"Why me?"
