Appologies Over Lunch (Xeryth, Junpei, Phoebe)

[Phae]

Phaedra stepped out of the door to her and Junpei's dorm room and waited for Junpei to join her. They were off to find Xeryth and Phoebe to see if they could appologize for the other day in the hospital. They had left with little or no explanation and she really wanted to see her sister.

She would wait for Junpei to come out of their room and take his hand in her own as they would begin the treck towards the main dorm hall that would lead them to the rest of the Academy.



Xeryth. It's Phaedra. Where are you? Do you know where Phoebe is? We.. Junpei and I would like to speak to the both of you.

[Xeryth Varson]

Xeryth was walking down the hallways, side-by-side with his new girlfriend, Phoebe Weiss, hand-in-hand, fingers interlaced loosely as they walked along silently, silly smiles on both their faces. They had just left Xeryth's dorm, where both had crashed after the ordeals of the day before had simply become too much to go through awake. The next morning, they had professed their 'like' for each other and shared their first (and second, and third) kisses. Xeryth, normally such a recluse, had never experienced anything quite like this before, and could not be happier. It showed, as well, in that his usual meek, rather sad expression was replaced by a silly, yet still shy, look of happiness. Phoebe as well seemed to carry herself in a slightly lighter fashion than she had before.

The two walked in silence, no words needing to be said, until, all of the sudden, Xeryth was hearing voices in his head. He stopped suddenly, Phoebe taking one more step before realizing what had happened, and stopped as well, turning to look to her boyfriend to see what was the matter. Xeryth was used to such things happening, however, and identified the voice immediately as none other than Phaedra Weiss, Phoebe's sister. Smiling, he sent a quick thought back her way, closing his eyes and envisioning her. It wasn't hard, especially with her twin standing just a few inches in front of him, and soon the message was on its way.

"Phoebe? Well, yes I do, Phaedra. To be quite honest, your twin's right here with me, we've been having a wonderful time together. We are heading to the cafeteria now for a quick lunch, how would you like to meet us there? Or, perhaps, are you closer and could meet us somewhere in the hallways?"

[Junpei]

Junpei closed the door to their dorm room, his hands quickly fumbling over the key to lock the door right after. A satisfying click and a turn later he smiled to Phaedra and took her hand once more, lacing his fingers with her to lock their hands together. He enjoyed the feeling, the warmth he got every time her hand was in his, no matter the situation.

She seemed to be concentrating, maybe she was astral projecting again? Who knew... well she knew... and whoever she was with knew... damnit he was lost. Either way he just waited, and waited for her to talk, there really was nothing he could do while she was standing here talking or ding something.

[Phoebe]

Phoebe had just seen her boyfriend take off his shirt and a blush had come on her face at the site of his pale skin and thin body but truth was he was very good looking period end of story all said and done in her own mind. She walked out of his dorm he took hold of her hand and she smiled over at him.

She was walking down the hall in silence with him as she went happily humming a tune in her head happily her eyes were much brighter than normal heck she had Xeryth next to her and had slept in his bed last night after curling up next to him through the night. Suddenly though Xeryth stopped and because they were still holding hands she too was stopped after an extra step and she looked back at him curiously.

He seemed to be concentrating on something and then his eyes closed and she looked at him wondering what the heck was going on and then his eyes opened and she smiled at him.

"Everything allright?" she asked.

[Phae]

Phaedra smiled as the familiar voice of Xeryth had come into her mind. They were good at talking this way and now that the connection was open it seemed so easy just to talk to him like this. She heard that Phoebe was with him and that they had been having fun together and she smiled.

Great! Tell Phoebe that I'm much better and thank you so much for your help Xeryth there is no way I can ever repay you for your kindness. We'll meet you in the main hall and go eat together. See ya soon, lil brother *chuckle*

Phae then now out of her own mind looked up at Junpei as they had been walking down the hall and she smiled.

"Xeryth said they are together and going to get something to eat. So I said we would meet them in the main hall and we could join them for lunch." she said with a smile. "It will be nice don't worry Phoebe was only mad because of my condition she'll be different today. She's very sweet but shy and timid kinda the opposite of my behavior. It took everything she had to stand up to you that day in the hospital. I wonder why she's here..."

Phae broke off her little rant as she seemed to furrow her brow in deep thought. She squeezed Jun's hand slightly as she was holding the one with the two rings on it now and smiled up at him.

"I love you Jun." she said and did the squinced face giggle she had done that very first day when they had met. Her eyes sparkling through the slits. "Let's go meet our friends."

[Junpei]

Watching her a few more seconds she soon turned to him and explained, telepathy with Xeryth. Of course, how was he supposed to read minds? Well some could... damn he was losing to himself in his own fights! Oh well, no sense wasting more time. Three little words had just hit his ears and he gave her hand a squeeze back, smiling.

"I love you too Phaedra."

He swung her hand once and when it came up he kissed the back of her hand and then twisted, spinning her a bit for fun. She seemed in a much better mood and he was glad, maybe playing around a bit would help her a bit more. he quickly caught her however and lifted her, kissing her once in the hall before setting her back down, grinning his hands were now wrapped around her waist.

"Meet out friends eh? Sounds good, we're off to the main hall then, and lunch... yay for lunch!"

he said in a playful tone and then led her to the great hall, his hand never leaving hers. There they would wait, awaiting the arrival of the two, why were they together though? Had they hooked up when Phoebe showed up here? Who knew, but Junpei would be glad to explain everything after all this time.

[Xeryth Varson]

Xeryth opened his eyes to see Phoebe looking back, asking him quizzically if everything was alright. He nodded, smiling, ready to drop a definite bomb on his poor girlfriend.

"Yes, yes... everything is... quite alright. I..." he grinned happily, "I just... spoke with your sister... she said she's doing much better. Come, we're going to the main hall..."

And with that, Xeryth took off, not giving Phoebe any time to stop and think anything along the lines of what does he mean he spoke with my sister?

It wasn't long at all before the couple made it to the main hall, and apparently just in time, as Phaedra and Junpei were making their way there, as well. Xeryth, suddenly, felt very, very awkward. Here was Junpei, supposedly his best friend, who he had lashed out at last time they spoke, and Phae, Phoebe's sister and close friend of Xeryth's, who had spent the night in the hospital wing for sustained amounts malnourishment. And amongst it all, here was Xeryth and Phoebe, happily holding hands like none of it had happened. Xeryth's face went blank, looking more than a little troubled, as his nervousness set in, despite his usual happiness at seeing either Phae or Junpei.

"Umm... he-hey guys," he said, waving with his free hand, but only half-heartedly. He was sure the twins would be eager to see each other again, but what would Junpei feel about Xeryth, especially after his explosion from the night before?

[Phoebe]

Talking to my sister? Phaedra... but... but how? She looked at him a bit more confused and returned his smile weakly as really.. how could the girl not return one of those sweet smiles that made you want to cuddle up with Xeryth even more.

They continued walked and soon rounded a corner Junpei and Phaedra too were holding hands and waiting for them. Phoebe blushed knowing that now the new couple would be obvious from where they were standing.

"Hey guys." she said in her soft voice and gave Xeryth's hand a gentle squeeze of comfort and reassurance.

She looked at Junpei and her gaze turned cold. Pissed? No .. more than pissed at what he hand done to her sister and pissed that he had come in after doing it and picked her up taking her away from the hospital trying to help her. Pissed that he had growled at her and been mean after all the stuff he had put her through.. Xeryth... oh the poor boy was going to find out that it took a lot to piss off Phoebe but once there.. it wasn't fun.

[Phae]

Phaedra looked up at Xeryth's words and her eyes grew wide as she looked at them first thing to notice was that they were HOLDING HANDS!! Phoebe was grinning ear to ear and there was definatly something about Xeryth that was a bit more.. cheerful and happy in some way.

A smile spread across her face and her eyes lit up as she looked at the new couple. She let go of Jun's hand and ran over to Phoebe and embraced her sister tightly.

"Phi!!!!" she squealed and rocked the girl back and forth for a moment. She pulled back and looked at her sister. "I'm okay... not perfect or anywhere near where I was.. but better."

She looked into her sisters eyes for a moment before turning to Xeryth and she stepped over and gave him a gentle hug knowing a hug like she had given Phoebe would definatly kill the boy. So she gave him a gentle hug and smiled at him when she broke it.

And to you my little brother and dearest friend I cannot thank you enough for standing up to him for ... liking my sister as I can tell you do. And most of all for taking care of me and never leaving my side. Xeryth I owe you so very much but I cannot as of yet, think of a way to repay you. If you ever need anything ANYTHING I will be here for you always. Thank you for taking such good care of my sister. You guys make such a cute couple. I've never seen her glow like that. *giggle*

Phae stepped away and moved back to Junpei taking her place by his side and taking his hand in hers again.

[Junpei]

Seeing Xeryth and Phoebe round the corner to the great hall Junpei smiled a bit, then got adeath look from Phoebe and quickly averted his eyes. When he had come back he hadn't exactly been in total control of himself when he had come to get her. Yeah that hadn't been a good day for any of them really.

"Hey Xeryth."

He said giving the kid a quick glance and then waiting for Phaedra to rejoin him, which she did in short order and Junpei was releived that so far Phoebe hadn't exploded all over him. Hopefully it wouldn't break down to screaming and yelling at him, but he could see frm that quick little glance he gave Phoebe it was going to be close.

"So uh... we should get to lunch..."

[Xeryth Varson]

Xeryth smiled at Phae as she hugged him, and spoke into his mind. He replied with a much shorter return thought:

"You're welcome, Phaedra. Though... seeing as she is YOUR sister... I should be thanking YOU... hehe...

Xeryth trailed off, grinning physically to drive his joke home at Phae as she returned to Junpei's side. Speaking of Junpei...

".... hey Junpei..."

Xeryth wasn't mad at the older boy, he was just worried. He still wasn't sure whether or not Junpei would be mad with him the night before. Of course, he seemed about as neutral as ever at the moment, but with Xeryth's natural paranoia, he couldn't be sure. But then again....

Xeryth then remembered something that he'd so often shut out of his mind. His passive mind reading trick! He had kept it shut away, mostly because he wasn't sure if people would realize he was using it, and wouldn't want them to be mad at him for probing their brains. However, upon some further study in the library, he had found that most psychics, being so in tune with their own mind and minds in general, simply picked up on base things such as emotions and intentions. No probing was done, and nothing personal was ever gleaned, save for maybe the name of the person owning the mind.

Halsephea! That's right!

Xeryth had quickly tried to stifle that particular ability when he accidentally picked up the name of his Demonic Dark Arts teacher, Halsephea, and he had threatened to destroy him, should the boy ever read his mind again. Up until now, the boy had done as he asked, stifling this ability and not picking up any exerted emotions or intentions.

Opening his mind to it yet again, Xeryth could feel small traces of happiness, but mostly waves of nervousness rolling off of Junpei's body. It was strange, to suddenly be opened to this again, but Xeryth's strong mind almost instantly became accustomed to it. It wasn't long before the seething, furious anger rolling off of Phoebe in droves put the puzzle together for Xeryth. Nodding quickly, he squeezed Phoebe's hand, making sure that she was on the outside, putting himself between her and Junpei.

"Yes..." he said, stealing another glance over at the icy Phoebe next to him. "Lunch sounds... great right now..."

[Phoebe]

Phoebe smiled at her sisters squealing a very Phae move. She hugged her sister back after being near crushed to death by a very thin very muscular Phae. She watched as she hugged Xeryth and then moved back to.. HIM.

So uh... we should get to lunch..." was all Junpei had to say.. yes Mr. Smoothe had hit the lunch room. She nodded glaring at him when he looked at him again.

"Yes..." Xeryth said, stealing another glance over at Phoebe. "Lunch sounds... great right now..."


Phoebe felt him squeeze her hand and she melted slightly as she looked over into Xeryth's beautiful eyes and she offered him a smile and squeezed his own.

"Yes, lets go inside and we can talk.. and eat." she said in her light shy voice still very angry still planning to talk to HIM but at least she wouldn't yell that wasn't her style. She would be calm.. or at least quiet anyway.

She began to walk slowly into the cafeteria to get some food and get a seat so they could talk and get to know each other a bit better.

[Phae]

Phae went into the cafeteria holding Junpei's hand as she moved into the cafeteria line. She decided on a chicken soup only and the woman gave it to her looking at the sad state of Phae and thinking she might need a bit more but Phae wasn't going to buy more than she could eat.

She smiled over at Junpei she was eating he should be happy and also know that she wouldn't be able to eat a lot of food for sometime but she would try to eat this even though she wasn't hungry her stomach used to so little food.

"I'll find a seat." she said with a wink and paid for her lunch.

She moved and found a table for four by the windows looking out into the courtyard and thought they would be perfect for the two.. yes two couples. She sat down and opened the styrophome container looking down at the soup she sighed. Now it was time to force herself to eat.

[Xeryth Varson]

Xeryth and Phoebe walked into the cafeteria together, hand in hand, and surveyed the seemingly limitless choices of various foodstuffs in which one could partake in. Xeryth's mouth was watering just thinking about it. He wondered if the cooks and servers who worked here used their own forms of magick to keep everyone happy, and making themselves able to cook anything. Shrugging it off, Xeryth decided that, for now, he didn't care. There was food, and it was available to him, and that was all that mattered.

Looking over to Phoebe, he nodded and said "Get... anything you want. Believe me, they have ANYTHING here." His smile brightened considerably at the thought of food, and released her hand after one final squeeze, before turning off to go find something that looked especially delicious.

--Moments Later--

Xeryth sat himself at the table where Phae had alredy sat upon, clutching a small styrofoam bowl of what looked like soup. He could feel that she was rather uneasy, and deduced that she was more than likely worried about food, especially since she had eaten so little lately. Xeryth himself carried a tray that carried two cheeseburgers, some tater tots, and a big bowl of chocolate-and-vanilla swirl ice cream, enchanted so that it would stay cold and not melt, until the eater's spoon touches it. Grinning widely, he nodded to Phae and sat down, waiting for the others to join them.
