First day jitters (onira)

[Onira]

As Shea ran her hand through Onira's hair, he placed his own ontop of her's. Not hard, just enough to feel her soft skin. He gave her a sort of unsure look, but also one that carried some deep down wisdom, that Onira always seemed to possess. It was a trait of his master. Although he was never really that wise, something about him made him look like he knew so much more than he did.

"As most things, I would just say to do what's right. To do what feels right. It usually seems to work out okay."

He gave a warm smile, and then placed another kiss on Shea's forehead. He let her hand go from his head, and gently wrapped his own hand around her waist gently. After this, he simply stopped, but keept his body the same. Unmoving, except for the slight pull back of his head so he could speak.

"For instance, does this feel right, or should I move away?"

His voice was still retaining the same warm, welcoming tone it did before, but mixed inside was a slight playfulness. He was feeling good about their ground, and was becoming much more comfortable with the situation. Whenever he became comfortable, he did tend to become atleast a small bit playful. Sometimes it was funny, but under the right circumstances, it could be sort of creepy. Not that he tried to be creepy, but sometimes it just turned out that way. Just a day in the life of the sudden Onira.

[Shea]

Shea was taking her cues from Onira. She had never been in a relationship before and didn't know if he had either but he seemed a bit more calm about it then she was but she was really a bit too shy to make a bold move.

"This feels very nice." she said with a blush and leaned her head against his shoulder and taking his free hand in hers. "This feels better."

She chuckled a little and looked up at Onira. She smiled at him. She never in a million years would have expected to be joining a new school and on her very first day meet someone that she liked as much as Onira. To be sitting in a room with the door closed and a boy next to her was a big step. This shy timid girl was definatly getting a very good welcome to the academy.

"I am very happy I met you Onira." she said in her soft voice a smile on her lips as she did so.

"Tell me a bit about yourself, please. I would like to know more about the man that is stealing my heart." she whispered and blushed.

[Onira]

Onira let her rest against his shoulder once again, happy that Shea had taken so kindly to him. When he had first met her, she seemed shy and very personal. However, now she seemed much more comfortable around him, which made him feel good about himself. Like he had really made a difference. Needed, as was the most common way to say it.

"I would have to agree with you there miss Shea. The joy you have brought me just in this day is of one I cannot describe."

He let his head rest on hers once again. He closed his eyes, and simply relaxed his body, embracing the moment to it's fullest. As much as he could without being creepy.

"Well, let's start from the beginning shall we? I was born in god knows where, my parents were killed god knows who, and I was taken in by a person whose name, before about two months ago, was god knows what. Well, since I was fifteen, I was trained in alchemy, until my master was killed by a disease we will call "god-knows-what-it's-name-was".

For two years I was living in a small house only god knows where in Babylos. That was until I came to Arcane. The first person I met, on my first day actually, was Junpei Taltos. A strange fellow, who almost always has a flying lizard with him. Well, we got along pretty well, and I think through him I eventually came along Xeryth. He's a shy guy, even more so than you. Something in his past I think. As with Junpei, we got along pretty well, and eventually, I met Phae. He's Junpei's fiance, and me and her got along very well. Like brother and sister really. Well, not for always. There was a very emotional time in our lives which eventually made me jump off of Babylos and into, well, the Earth. I awoke a week later, with a very sore back and no memories whatsoever of my past.

Eventually I was brought back to Arcane, where, with the help of Phoebe, Phae's sister, I soon reclaimed my lost past. Since then, I've just been sort of going through life. Which brings me here, to you. A very happy ending don't you think?"

[Shea]

Okay so what had Shea expected. Well something along the lines of me and my mom and dad lived in such place and I grew up happy running the streets with my buds hanging out till my crazy cool power awoke.

What did she get? Well she got that the boy knows very little about his past and what he doesn't know apparently only God does because he used that a lot. Her eyes got wider as she listened apparently his life wasn't the best. Well she could relate to that. Jumping to Earth now.. that she couldn't relate to but really who could and lived..beside the boy next to her?

She sat up and looked at him touching his face lightly with her pale hand and offering him a slight smile before she spoke.

"I-I am so sorry. I di-didn't mean to bring up such bad memories." she said and looked away dropping her hand as she felt really bad for bringing up such a tragic upbringing. She put her hands in her lap again as she looked out the window trying to decide what to do now.

"I am glad you survived the fall else I wouldn't have met you." she whispered still not looking at him. She instead looked down at her pale delicate hands in her lap and her hair fell forward covering her face hiding her from view with a dark black curtain.

[Onira]

"No miss Shea, don't be sad. You didn't bring up anything bad in my past. Only one moment in my entire life has ever been a truly sad one. Not many people can say that. I enjoy the fact that I've met so wonderful people. So many people who love me and show me warmth. So many people who care for me and wish for me to simply exist. I only have one thing I regret, and that's ever even thinking of jumping off the edge. Ever even thinking that I had it so bad. If I had actually died... if I had actually left this world... I would never have met you, and all I would have achieved, is saddening those who care for me."

He slowly took Shea into his arms, trying to will her not to be as depressed. He wanted to let her know that she had done nothing wrong. Him talking about his life didn't make him feel sad. It made him feel stupid for what he had done, but never depressed over it.

"What's in the past is done, Shea. Please, I didn't try and make you sad. My memories are not sad to me, merely inconvenient."

Oh yeah, he had gone and done it. The overly thick Onira had once again made a girl sad with his actions. He jumped off of the edge of babylos which made Phae cry, and now he had saddened Shea. His score wasn't very good.

[Shea]

She listened closedly to the words he said staring at her hands until the moment he took her into his arms holding her there her eyes closing in the comfort she felt there. How was it you could find someone so comfortable in one day and want to stay in his arms always.

She looked up at him and gave him a gentle smile. She touched his face briefly with her finger tips and then tucked his hair behind his ear before she spoke.

"Do not worry. I was only worried that I had asked you to remember things best left unremembered. I was more worried that I had offended you than by what you said." she told him truthfully.

She placed her hand on his left cheek and smiled as her thumb gently stroked the skin there as she looked into his voilet gaze.

"You have lovely eyes, Onira." she whispered and leaned in placing her lips on his gently her heart pounding as this was her boldest move yet. She only hoped he reacted well.

[Onira]

Onira smiled at Shea, happy that she was in a better mood. He had never wanted to make her uncomfortable or anything, but it seemed that whatever uninnteded damage he had done was all better. Good.

"Well, I'm glad you th..."

Onira was stopped short mid-sentence by a sudden kiss from Shea. He hadn't expected that of all things. He had never been kissed by anyone. He had kissed before (obviously), but had never been kissed. However, he easily returned the passionate embrace.

His hand slowly moved to the side of Shea's face, carresing her cheek gently. He didn't know what to do. He wasn't one to act any further, for fear that he might accidently push away the person he was just trying to bring closer. He couldn't do that to Shea. He couldn't stand the pain of maybe frightening her with a sudden action. No, the ball would have to stay in her court. She had to pick next.

[Shea]

Well she hadn't scared him off and that was a good thing because when his arms went around her like this holding her tighter she felt just right. She noticed he didn't break the kiss nor did he take it any further.

She let the kiss linger for several more moments before she finally pulled back reluctantly and held his hand to her cheek her eyes closing as she held it there as if memorizing his touch. It was perfect. The way his hand fit on her cheek just perfectly.

She smiled at him and looked into his beautiful eyes as she tilted her head to the side slightly. This was definatly a different thing all together for her but she was definatly enjoying it.

"Are you ready to go find something to eat and see about that movie?" she asked. She really didn't want to leave but it would be nice. "Wouldn't this be like a first date? I mean.. if you are considering me your girlfriend."

[Onira]

Onira was glad that Shea let the kiss hold for a moment. He couldn't think of even letting the moment go. Couldn't even comprehend anything else than that one point in time. But, as all things, it had to go, to maybe find itself again at another time. Maybe later.

"I would proudly declare you my girlfriend any day. And on the subject of food and a movie, I would graciously accept that offer."

He gave a grin and placed his hand on Shea's, standing up and providing help for her to get up. He was atleast that gentlemanly. Of course, he didn't seem the type off hand, but he was quite polite to the right people. He just didn't come along the right people a lot.

"However, the question still remains. What would you like to eat?"

OOC: Sorry, this one's really short. I'm off to bed.

[Shea]

So first day at the academy and she had a boyfriend. A nice one at that. He was sweet and caring and was patient with her. His hand extended and took her own offering her support to stand though she didn't need it herself being very stable and agile do to her dancing she stood with grace and smiled at Onira.

She let go of his hand and walked across the room to where she had set her duffel bag down and opened it retrieving a small woven bag she used as a purse. It too was purple which made it seem even more obvious that this was her favorite color.

"I was thinking perhaps pizza actually. Do you know I've never had pizza." she told him as she slipped the long strap of the bag over her head so it fell across her torso.

"However," and here she walked back over to Onira. "You get to pick the movie."

She smiled and gave him a wink as she took his hand and led him gently to the door picking up her room key on the way. Once outside the door she turned and locked it and then turned to Onira.

"Lead the way."

[Onira]

"Believe me, you're not missing too much. It's not as exciting as one would expect. But it's nice if it's made probably. And I think I know just the place to get some."

Onira watched Shea as she led him out of the room. It was starting to occure to him now. A girlfriend. Not what he had expected when he woke up that morning. In reality, the first thing he thought when he woke up wasn't: "I wish I had a girlfriend." It was more like: "I really need to pee." Of course, he could honestly say that this was a very welcome surprise. He had met a girl he loved with his whole heart, and the two had only met maybe an hour ago. How fate worked, huh?

"I'll try navigating us to the elevator, but I don't think I'll be depressed if I get us lost."

He smiled to the girl, then started off for the end of the corridor again. He took the left turn to enter the hallway for the elevators, and slowly made his way there with Shea. They arrived, and with a swift hit of the button, they got the chance to do the two minute wait for the elevator. But, Onira wasn't all that sure what to ask. What should he? He had figured out most of the basic stuff of Shea. Where she came from, some of her family, even her favourite color. Then he remembered. No, that was too personal. Atleast for a girl. He had heard that it was a secret that he was only supposed to learn when Shea decided to tell him it. Oh god the itch to ask was strong. But, he held it back. In a mix of fear and politeness.

[Shea]

Onira led them to the elevators and they walked in silence which was fine with Shea. She enjoyed his company and his hand was in hers still. She smiled and entered the elevator and began to twirls the emerald in her ear as she did sometimes when she was a bit nervous.

She really didn't know what you did with a boyfriend. I mean yes, she had seen movies and knew what happened but to actually experience it and for it to be something she actually had to make decisions on was a whole different thing.

"W-would you like to know.. anything about me?" she asked now realizing he really didn't know a thing about her aside from her favorite color and her hobbies. She looked up wondering what he would ask.

[Onira]

Onira looks at Shea almost curiously. He was surprised to say the least. It was like she had read his mind. Maybe that was another one of her powers. Then again, when Xeryth was in his mind, he could feel it. It felt like someone was irritating his brain. Tickling it with a feather, almost. But, he didn't fell that when he stod next to Shea. That meant only two possible conclusions. One, she was really good and could get in without you even noticing, or two, she wasn't actually reading his mind. Atleast not with any magic. It then occured to him.

What if she is reading my mind? Then she'd know I was catching on. What if she killed me because I was getting too smart. What if she attacked me right now because I knew too much. Because I knew what she could do.

What the hell is wrong with you man?!!

Who are you?

We're the sensible side of the brain. Also known as the balls.

Yeah, what do you want?

Get in there man! Do what you want! Ask the goddam question! She's practically begging you!

Okay. But, is a conversation going on in my head in any way, shape, or form, healthy?

Probably not, but that doesn't matter! Go man!

-Reality-

"Umm... miss Shea, may I ask you what your age is? I'm just curious."

[Shea]

Shea looked over and thought about his question and thought of all the questions that was what he wanted to ask? She looked into his eyes and wondered why that was suddenly so important.

"Fourteen and a half of course." she said serious look on her face as she watched for his reaction. "I hope that's not too young."

She chewed her lip nervously as she looked over at Onira and smiled gently.

"How old are you?" she asked him.

[Onira]

For probably one of, if not the absolute first time in Onira's life, his cheeks went red. 14... and... a... half... Now, Onira felt... just a little sick. He had kissed someone, quite passionately at that, who was three years younger than him. He felt... a little wrong.

"14, huh?"

He was trying desperately to hide the mix of surprise, embaressment, and even small bit of annoyance in his voice. Chances were, if he wasn't keeping his emotions held back, he would have a twitch. That was never good. Especially when the conversation came to him. His age. Oh god, why? In all honesty, he didn't really mind that she was three years younger than him. Okay, maybe a little. However, he was more worried what she thought. Fourteen was a very... emotional number. Not to mention on the off chance he met her parents... oh god!

"Well, uhh... I'm... uhh... 17."

It took a lot of strength for him to crunch out the number. Seventeen. However, he just HAD to add on the last bit.

"... and a half."
