Mirei stuck out her tongue as she looked down at a student. She had a sly look on her face, swinging the chain with a horse-show charm, before her. She was teasing him. From below the three and boy looked up at her angrily, hopping up as much as he could to try and reach for his chain, but barely reaching it everytime. As for Mirei? She quite enjoyed watching him desperately hop up to try and snatch it away from her.
"Heheh, Sorry hun, But it's finders keepers and I quite like this shiny chain of yours." she said, standing up on the branch she had been crouching on and climbing up higher into the tree in the courtyard. The boy watched her helplessly and groaned, shaking his fist. "Get back here you stupid cat! Give me back my chain! My dad gave it to me before he died!"
Through the leaves, the girl's head pooped out, her eyes lowering as she took another good look at the chain. Her bored-looking eyes slowly made their way back down towards the boy and she shrugged. "No."
The boy became angry. Or course, he didn't want to have to stoop down to striking a girl, so he hadn't done anything to harm her...yet. His body started to change, hardening it seemed and bulging out. Finally, he looked like a larger him, though made of grey, solid, rock. Honestly, Mirei had no idea what this would do. Turning himself heavier wasn't gonna help him climb up the tree so he wouldn't be able to reach her...
The boys hands grasped around the bark of the tree, and then he began to shake it. Mirei's eyes widened as she was soon being tossed this was and that from the movement. She put the chain between her lips and dug her nails into the branch she was on, getting rather woozing from the shaking. Then, the boy ripped the tree right out of the ground and slammed it on the ground. Mirei had hopped off, and was curently in the air, in a cat-like position with the chain still in her mouth. She landed on all fours, stood up and smirked a little. "You still are NOT getting it back you know, hun" she teased, pulling down near her eyes with her index and sticking out her toungue childishly before running off, using both her hands and feet to go even faster.
"Hahaha!" she laughed, knowing quite well that boy would never catch her now and that the chain would soon belong to her. "Stupid kid, I always get what I want." she smirked proudly. Infront of her, somewhat in her way, stood a person. Her eyes widened, seeing as the speed she was going and the time ratio...yup, she was either gonna ram into that person or...well ram into them. "Watch oooout!" she called out, leaping up into the air, and planting her foot on the persons head to gain more leverage. With a flip and a twist, she landed a few feet away from him or her and was facing them. "Erm, sorry about that" she said between her teeth, in order to keep the chain in her mouth. Her eyes looked behind the person, seeing the boy she had stolen the chain from was trying to catch up. Oh boy...he was a persistant one.
(Join as you wish, either as the person Mirei almost rammed into or someone else ;D)

Lucian had heard some commotion but for the most part ignored it. He strolled across the grounds dressed in his usual black shirt and jeans. Black suited him and the material the clothing was made out of was easy enough to move in should he have to get into a fight. If it was one thing Lucian hated it was being restricted of movement during a fight. He kept walking, finding himself heading in the same direction the commotion was coming from. He really did not feel like getting mixed up in someone else's fight so he simply continued walking, trying to ignore whatever was going on.
Alas it was not to be apparently as Lucian found himself in the path of what appeared to be a cat person? Lucian did not even have to time to question the existance of whatever was in front of as she collided with him. He fell with the momentum and into a roll regaining his footing rather quickly. Lucian sighed as he saw the chain clamped between her teeth, his hand shot out grabbing by the wrist tightly, "It really is not polite to take that which does not belong to you Miss," he said his voice carrying his usual heavy Romanian accent.

Mirei hissed, her eyes comming into slits as the one she had somewhat rammed over grasped her wrist. Her eyes went from her wrist to his face, eyes glaring. "Ah yeah?" she asked sarcastically. "Well it also isn't polite to grasp a ladies wrist like that...."
Her eyes looked towards the boy she had stolen the chain from, whom was getting nearer and nearer and with this man holding her, she wouldn't be able to run away. How annoying people could be, and there was always some goodie goodie around. No matter.
"Call me Kitty, sug..." she said casually, letting her free hand grasp the chain and letting her eyes gaze at it. She really liked it. She'd be damned if she'd just give it back because this guy here wanted her too. So, after putting the chain back into her mouth, she quickly grabbed the hand who's wrist was being held, and pulled down (Or up) towards where this mans thumb was. Her whole force against his thumb would surely set her free, and after doing so (whether or not her wrist would have slipped away) her leg would rise up, just enough to reach his stomach and quickly give a kick.
"I won't give it up so easily." she said. "I like this chain. I want it. I'll take it."

He chuckled softly as she said that it wasn't polite for to grasp a ladie's wrist like he was. He shook his head with a soft grin, she had spunk he had to give her that. He continued to hold her watching the victim of her crime running towards them.
"I would agree with you but then again most ladie's don't steal such petty things as a charm necklace," he said as he looked down at her. He had been right before, a cat girl. She had pointy cat ears and everything. Lucian could only assume that the only reason she had landed on her feet after bowling him was due to her apparent catlike reflexes.
His eyes went wide as she pulled herself up towards him, a foot coming towards his stomach. Quickly the hand he was not holding her with reached over to the arm that was clutching her wrist and touched the runes necessary for his Knight's Armor spell. There was a soft clang as her foot connected with his now metal body.
He laughed a little as he looked down at her with a grin, "Miss..Kitty," he said shaking his head a little at the name, "I highly suggest you just give up the chain. How about I buy you a new one to make up for this one, since it is technically my fault you're about to lose it," he proposed with a grin as the boy who had been victimized by her finally reached them, huffing loudly after the run, "Just give back the chain Kitty, please?" He asked with a hopeful arching of his eyebrows, he hoped she would just give up.

Her eyes widened a little at the peculiar sound that was produced when she had struck his stomach, her eyes widening for a moment before she gave a pouty face. "Damn that's smarts..." she muttered with a huff. However, she was very much pleased that this person knew how to counter and/or block. A quick thinker it seemed and Mirei couldn't help but praise that. "At least you aren't a total flake like Sparky over there" she smirked, glancing slyly towards the 'Sparky' whom was the boy she had robbed. She didn't know his name, and in these cases she would call him Sparky.
Her eyes settled upon Lucian again, letting her foot slip down back to the ground, and her arm moving with slight discomfort of the wrist being held. She did however scoff at the way he insisted on calling her Miss. "Hey, if you call me Kitty, drop the formalities, it's weirding me out. Plus it sounds queer. But if you insist of keeping it up, that would be Miss Mirei or Lady Greye"
A sharp tongue as always it seemed. "But I guess I can make a deal with ya, hun. Now, for a beautiful necklace like this, I'll require more then a replacement. I want three things of equal value to this thing. Capiche?" Hey, the girl was greedy, but seeing as this guy was going to be the reason she was going to lose this pretty baby, and Mirei NEVER ever was caught having to return an object she snatched, then of course she would want to make his pay for her troubles, another necklace AND for grabbing her wrist like that. What? It was fair!
"Kitty, you can't have anything of equal value to this if it's just bought!" 'Sparky' said, snatching the chain quickly as Mirei held it out teasingly to him. "Not unless it's been given to you and it hold sentimental value..."
Mirei stared at him like he was crazy and snorted. "Hah. Whatever flake, as long as it's shiny and expensive, then I don't really care." she turned to Lucian. "You better not go back on your word!" Her finger rose up in a diciplanary way before she smiled more sweetly. "And you can let go of me, I gave it back, sheesh. Always a good guy around who tries to ruin things and yet I must congratulate you for being the first to actually catch me AND make me give the object back, very nice."
She grinned happily, her pointed fangs the most notable thing about her smile. The boy quickly rushed off, not wanting to stay around Kitty that much and that left the name Sparky free for use on someone else. And seeing as the man before her was the only one around now...

Lucian watched her with an interested grin. She really was quite the character. She seemed to have no morals and apparently as long as she got whatever she wanted the ends seemd to justify the means. Even if it meant the burglary of what was apparently a very sentimental item from some unsuspecting student, Sparky she had called him. He smiled faintly and nodded as she complimented him on not being a flake like Sparky.
"Well thank you, I pride myself on not being a flake," he said with a laugh and a grin. She really was an interesting one, sharp of tongue and wit with the features of a cat. This school certainly did seem to attract some unique individuals.
He shook his head a little as she told him it was wierd for him to call her miss, "I'm sorry Kitty but in Romania, where I come from, we were always formal when it came to interacting with women," he said with a nod, "The rule was to be formal and polite because women are deserving of respect. But I'm not in Romania anymore so I suppose it's possible for me to be respectful without being so formal. I apologize for weirding you out as you put it," he said with an apologetic grin.
He chuckled as she bought into his bargain. He let her hand go, the metal that clung to his skin peeled away into nothingness as his body returned to normal. No need to keep holding on to her after the chain had been returned. Lucian watched her with a grin as she held the chain teasingly out to Sparky and he snatched it away angrily.
"So shall we go into the city and pick out your replacement shiny things?" he asked with an amused chuckle, "I'll even let you pick them out...how does that sound?" he asked with a grin as he watched her. Lucian was usually not one for making friends but he would have to get to know her, she was simply too much of an oddity to ignore.

(Sorry, in a hurry >.O;
Mirei smirked and hopped next to Lucian, getting quite close to him and grasping his arm. "Oh my yesss!" she said rubbing her head on his arm gleefully. Now, it would of been weird if some random person did this, however being a cat, one wouldn't really need to think her odd. Okay, perhaps she really was odd, however that wasn't really the point. "But yes see, Spark', I'm still real new to the area and I really wouldn't know where to go to get the shiny stuff, so you'll have to be a good boy and lead the way, alrighty?"
She let go of him and licked at her wrist casually, letting her left hand sit on her hip. "Letting me pick 'em out sounds good to me though" she noted to him, looking up from her wrist. "And don't worry about the whole formalities mix-up, it's no biggy. I like where you come from. Respect for Ladeh's. My kinda place."
She lifted up her middle and index finger, showing him the peace sign and giggling. "Well let's not dilly dally, I've got some lovely things to pick out that YOU have to buy for me and I don't wanna keep my babies waiting!" she said urgently, running behind him and placing both hands on his back, pushing him forward to urge him to move while saying "Hurry, hurry, hurry!"

Lucian could only laugh and shake his head as she latched onto his arm. Then she proceeded to rub her head on his arm, after first he was faintly annoyed. He realized that she was at least part cat, the ears and tail being the biggest clues to this, so she would at least have some catlike qualities. Of course one of these happened to be rubbing herself against someone who made her happy or did something she approved of.
Lucian thought he should feel annoyed as he usually did in situation's like this. However he found himself only able to chuckle and shake his head. Maybe it was her profound uniqueness that made him just want to laugh and watch her with an interested grin.
"Woah..." he said, flailing his arms a bit as she started pushing him from behind. Apparently she was in quite the hurry to get out to the city. She really was a materialistic one, but at least that made it easy to appease her and he had used that to his advantage. He had gotten the boy his sentimental trinket back but now he had to pay the price. The price just so happened to be three shiny trinkets of equal value to the one she had attempted to pilfer from the boy that was nearby.
"Alright, no need to push Kitty...we'll get there don't worry. Remember this place is magic, there's always fast ways to travel," he said with a grin as he started for one of the teleporter's that lead to major areas of the city, "Just follow me...this one will take us to the shopping district of the city," he said as he motioned to a teleporter in front of them, "After you m'lady Greye," he said with a laugh and a joking bow. It was a throwback to her saying that if he was to be formal he would have to call her Miss Mirei or Lady Greye, "Oh and I seem to have forgotten to mention my name, I am Lucian Dragomir," he said, holding his hand out to her as he straightened from his joking bow.

"Yeah, it's magic." she said looking towards him with a calmer expression. "Sometimes I wonder if I belong here too. I'm not magical at all. I'm just some weird half feline half human freak." Her tone, even as she basically insulted herself, seemed to be casual sounding. Hey, she'd been called a freak by the kids way back when she was younger, she sorta dealed with it. Maybe she was, and what then?
Her eyes rested upon the teleporter, giving her head a curious tilt before turning to Lucian, who instructed her to follow him. However, she couldn't help but snicker after he did the 'gentleman' thing and indeed refered to her as Lady Greye. It was pleasant however, but Mirei couldn't help but bring up the irony of his words. "Alright, so I go first but follow you?" she asked with a wink and her tongue stuck out. "Just kidding Sparky, I'm goin'" Before going through the teleporter, Lucian finally spoke his name, Mirei nodding at him with a little smirk stuck to her lips. Regardless of said smirk, her childish look was more or so placid now.
Her hand raised to grasp his, giving him a little nod and shaking his hand once yet firmly. "It's nice to finally actually meet ya' Lucian. I hope ya' don't mind if I call you Sparky sometimes, kind of an old habit, Savvie?" She gave a small shrug before turning back to the teleporter and giving it a wry frown. "Eh, I don't trust thing thigie that much, so I'll hold you responsible if I get lost in the middle of the teleporting." She gave a soft chuckle, to indicate she was kidding before walking into the Teleporter. She hoped she would get there...'Unless he tricked me and is sending me to the middle of no where so he doesn't have to pay for my shiny things! Maybe that's why I had to go first?' she thought, filling her head with things to render her paranoid. Oh well, she was in/through (Not sure oO; the teleporter now. Too late for second thoughts.

Lucian chuckled and shook his head as she called herself a freak. A freak, in a place like this? Surely no one who passed through the doors of the Academy could be considered a freak. If anything they were all freaks, yes a school of freaks, all equal in their strangeness. Yes that's exactly what the school was, they were all equal freaks, not separate outcasts, in fact they were united in their unique abilities and appearances. Lucian gave her a playful shove and shook his head again.
"You are most certainly not a freak Mirei," he said with a grin, "Not only have I seen worse, but think of it this way...this is an Academy for people like us. Unique people, people that the world rejected and cast aside. Together, here, we are united in our own unique abilities and appearances," he said with a nod, "Revel in your individuality and don't let anyone ever take it from you," he said with a serious nod, before the smirk returned. He chuckled again as she pointed out the obvious irony of his instructions.
He smiled and nodded as she asked him if he minded being called Sparky, "Don't worry, Sparky is fine," he said as he waited for her to step through, "I promise you, the teleporter is quite functional," he said and then she stepped through. He followed after her, there was first the familiar feeling of nothingness than came the rush of sound and air and then finally his foot on solid ground. He stepped out behind her into the market district of the city of Babylos, "Well then shall we?" he asked, offering her his arm with a grin.
