Sieg had been holed up in one of the Academy's vacant classrooms for going on two days now. He had converted two of the abandoned classrooms into his own personal combination laboratory and workshop. One of them had already been destroyed in his mana bomb accident. Sieg chuckled inwardly as he remembered that accident. There was a flash of light as he soddered some circuitry together. Sieg had finished his mana bombs and they were actually working quite well now. He had stabalized the explosive mixture so that the addition of mana wouldn't destabilize it and cause an untimed explosion. As usual though, Sieg wasn't satisfied in the least. He had more and more ideas flowing through his head and the itching urge to create something flowed through his veins yet again. He had been occupied with Fiona for quite sometime but it seemed he would never get rid of that itch, the itch to invent and create. He sighed a little as he wiped the back of his hand against his forehead. His newest creation was almost done. The body and frame hadn't taken very long, in fact Sieg was surprised at how quickly he had finished them. The tricky part was the circuitry and dealing with the uncertainties of mixing magic and complex technology. This newest creation wasn't as complex as Atticus, but it was rather close. The tinny clang of metal sounded as Sieg started to bring the pieces of his creation together. He could have just as easily used his magic to meld the different components together. However he needed as much mana as he could get to charge his creation's mana battery. More clanging and more flashes of light as Sieg continued bringing the construct nearer to completion. "Finally," he said with a long satisfied sigh. He stood straight up and leaned back, cracking his back with a groan. Sieg had been hunched over his newest construct for some time and it felt good to stretch some. He looked down at Hound, his newest construct. Hound wouldn't be anywhere near as intelligent as Atticus, the idea behind Hound was to create a less intelligent but a more combat-equipped construct. "Now to charge the battery," he said as he took a deep breath. He focused all the mana he could gather into his hands, rubbing them together. A pale blue glow started to surround his hands and he placed them on the mana battery in the open chest of Hound. The mana battery seemed to pull the mana from his hands in a pale blue stream. Suddenly Hound's single optical sensor glowed with life. The creature looked around and the flashed up, accompanied by the clanking of metal. It bursted through the door and down the hallway, running wildly and crashing through the body of students traveling to classes. Sieg sighed angrily and whistled for Atticus who jumped forward and lay flat out activating his wings. Sieg hopped onto his back and pointed down the hallway as he surfed on Atticus, "FOLLOW THAT GOLEM!" he shouted as he fixed his goggles against his face which was stern as he stood on Atticus' back, zooming through the hallway after Hound.

((Double post because I'm posting to get Sieg's latest invention finished and under control. It's still open to anyone that wants to participate though))
Atticus zipped through the hallway while Sieg shakily attempted to stand on his back. He grinned as the air rushed against him as Atticus zipped between scattered students. They were right on Hounds tail, all Sieg had to do was get close enough and he could shut his latest golem down or at least immobilize it enough to make the neccessary adjustments to its personality matrix.
Hound loped through the hallway at incredible speeds. He was a combat model, not particularly smart, but strong as hell. Apparently fast two as the speed he was currently moving at was more than a match for Atticus in flight mode. Sieg would have to take a look at Atticus' propulsion systems and maybe upgrade them a little after this.
"Damnit Hound!" Sieg yelled as Hound took a turn two quickly and ended up crashing into a corner slightly. A few bricks and chunks of stone tore out of the wall as Hound shrugged it off and kept going. Despite his anger, Sieg grinned proudly, Hound was certainly living up to his expectations as a combat model.
Hound took quite a blow rounding that corner but shrugged it off like it was nothing. Hound looked scrappy but appearances were deceiving as Hound was actually quite technologically advanced. Sieg steadied himself, crouching with one hand pressed against Atticus back as they continued zipping down the hallway. Just a little further....

This noice was just to much. Nils really hated when someone disturbed his reading like that so he went to check what the heck was going on. When he walked out he nearly got run over by some kind of machine. Another thing he wasn't very fond of so he decided to stop it. He took a shortcut so that he'd face the robot again and prepared a big fireball. He waited patiently and made the fireball as he waited for the robot to come against him. By the time it did the fireball was huge and he aimed carefully so that his power wouldn't just go to waste.
With a little luck this piece of junk is gaspowered. That would've looked really nice.
"Hey, junkpile! Eat this!"
He shouted while he took aim carefully and threw the fireball right at it.
Please hit! Please gas! Please hit! Please gas!

Torm strolls down a corridor idly. The afternoon sun shines peacefully in through vaulted windows, and there is hardly a sound anwhere. Torm becomes vaguely aware of a distant racket but overall remains unconcerned. He hefts the ladder held under one arm into a more comfortable carrying position and thumbs to the next page of a small notebook he had been skimming. The pages were all schematics and technical drawings of tiny mechanical systems. Presumably, Torm understands them; (I sure don't), but you never can tell with that guy.
The noise grows louder, suggesting an increase in proximity. Torm looks up from his manual and glances around curiously, searching for its cause, but is left to return to his book without an answer.
As he rounds another corner, the answer to the riddle of the noise's origin, which had before remained elusive, now asserts itself in a decidedly rude fashion. Rounding the corner, Torm is brought face to face with a charging mechanical beast! "Shit!" he cries out in an Irish/Scottish brogue, and hurls himself to one side as the beast rampages past. Down the hall, someone tries to confront it with a fire attack. Back in the direction it had come from, someone was chasing it shouting! Maybe it was their creation? Regardless, the thing had to be stopped before someone REALLY unaware of their surroundings got hurt!
Torm reaces into his pockets and pulls out double handfuls of tiny, metal trinkets, which he promptly throws into the air. "Leech it dry!" he shouts, and the metal objects wizz off after the beast at high speed, buzzing angrily, bent on attatching to or climbing inside the target and sucking any magical energy from it. I haven't field tested the mana-leeching model of my Clockwork Beetles, but this seems like as good an opportunity as any. With any luck, this would not harm the construct at all, just deprive it of energy. Glancing back, the pursuer appears to be catching up, and it seems to be a young man...surfing a mechanical dog. Torm is pretty curious about anyone who had the skills to make such a thing; it was his own field of expertise as well, of course.

Hound shrugged off the fireball as if it were nothing. Being a combat model Hound had some rather heavy armor and which was treated magically to resist the elements at least to a point. Sieg was actually mildly offended that the fireball wielder thought him so inept as to build a construct that would be stopped by a mere fireball. Why was it necessary to call Hound a junkpile? Though he appeared a bit rundown and thrown together that certainly didn't make him a junkpile Sieg shrugged it off though the guy probably just wasn't use to melding magic and technology.
Then another man seemed to try to help stop Hound. He pulled out a handful of metal trinkets and hurled them into the air shouting something about leeching Hound dry. Damnit! He had just powered up Hound's mana battery, he couldn't have it getting drained already. Sieg stomped twice against Atticus' back, this was the signal to speed up. Atticus did and when Sieg was close enough he whipped out his PDS and aimed it at the small mana leeching metal things. Using his metal manipulation ability he lifted the leechs off of Hound and placed them back in the mans hand.
Then Sieg tried the maneuver he wanted to use to stop Hound in the first place. He leapt off of Atticus' back when he got close enough and used Metal Manipulation again to meld Hound's legs together. The combat golem crashed to the ground, arms flailing. Sieg quickly opened up his chest cavity and disconnected the mana battery from his movement systems which disabled Hound's ability to move.
"Finally..you've got to learn to calm down buddy," he said patting the downed construct's head twice as he chuckled and wiped the back of his hand against his forehead. He un-bound Hound's legs as Atticus slowed down and landed on his feet. Sieg directed Atticus to grab Hound, which he did, slinging him over his shoulder. Sieg turned to those who had tried to help him with a sheepish grin, "Thanks for the help guys...and uh sorry about that," he said with an embarrassed chuckle.

"It's ok. I'm impressed about how it was made to take that fireball. Could you make your next one flamable? Or else I'd have to waste some grenades or something. What is that thing?"
He looked at the piece of metal that was lying on the floor. He began to examine it. He didn't understand much since he wasn't into mechanics that didn't explode and the closest experience of bodies were human. Then he looked over at the leech guy.
"What were those things? I mean those small metal pieces you threw? Mechanical leeches?"
He said and looked at them that the other guy was holding in his hand. He found this kind of mechanics boring, unless of course they rampaged like that. Next time it wouldn't matter, he'd make a minefield and some lasertrip mines. That would be lots of fun for him. Lots of firework fun.

Torm tucks the beetles away again before either can inspect them much. "They're Clockwork Beetles. They're mostly mechanical and behave autonomously. These paticular ones absorb energy from their targets, but I make all sorts." On a guess that the student's interests lay in pyrotechnics, he adds with a grin, "including exploding ones." He would have to check on these particular beetles later; that guy's weird Magneto- ripoff power might have unaligned some inner workings. "Impressive fire skills, keep up the good work!" he says amiably.
Torm turns to the metalworking guy. He maniplates metal magically, eh? Seems useful. The difference between us is that he works metal with his mind and magic, while I work it with my hands and strength. "Your constructs amuse me, artificer. They are not unlike early creations of my own. Impressive." Hmm, perhaps it is about time I build another larger creature... "You fellas got names? I'm fairly new, but I've been here long enough to know when people are newer than me when I meet them."
