So bright and cheery. In a way it's actually rather relaxing. I'll get a little time to just kick back until I decide to shake things up. Man those people were so ignorant to just up and let me in here with that studpid little story. Oh well that's alright. Just makes my new job easier Durron thought as he walked through the Academy halls getting a feel for the place as he had only arrived a day beforehand.
Durron had only one real purpose here. To fullfill his purpose as nothing more than bioweapon. One that can think and plan. Such fools these humans are. So arrogant and willing to play in their god's domain and think they can creat a life that they can control. They deserve everything I am about to give them He thought. Though even with his dark intentions he could appeciate such beauty as te Academy. he would give the humans that much credit. They had made a wonderful building with their abilities. He knew that if his plans went through this place would stay untainted. He found he liked it very much already.
As Durron rounded a corner he saw other students. It took great self-control not to lash out at them. Not yet Durron. That wouldn't do you any good. You don't have the power to bring this place down and they CAN track you here. This simply isn'tt he time. He told himself as he forcably relaxed again. He chuckled at the irony of forcing himself to do a non forcfule thing. he loved irnoy. Mabey that was hy he was the way he was. Humanity will have created the very thing that would topple them in the end.

Schrägstrich enjoyed it's new found mode of transportation. The slug like body propelling the nightmare forward effortlessly and silently through the air ducts of the Academy. It seemed almost odd that some of the ducts weren't secured better. Still the Academy wasn't foolish and the duct were certainly well fortified in specific places to keep those unwanted out.
That didn't prevent the beast from moving along the halls much faster than if he had actually stayed in their walk ways. The dark eyes looked through the slits of the metal grates and looked for targets or anyone else of interest. There had to be someone....
A man of odd color caught the dark black eyes, and soon the metal grating was shoved forth from the wall and the creature emerged. The elongated claws sinking into the tiled floor slightly as the rest of it's horrid body soon followed.
The being emitted its sounds that soon developed into words, while staring at the man that had caught it's eye.
"What are you?..."

Durron's thoughts were intterupted as a grating flew open near him. he leapt away and his arm blades appeared tearing his flesh and the wunds closed instantly. he saw whatever it was that came out wasn't human. Then the creature spoke to him inquiring as to what he was. Durron found no threat present at the time and lowered his ams though the blades remained out. "An informed question. Though I can't give a good answer. I'm a new breed without a name." He said tonlessly. He wasn't sure what this creature was before him. But it looked deadly as himself. He wondered if perhapes the creature could be of some use in any way.

The slug man emitted an odd clicking sound that could only be associated as a small bit of laughter. The long claws moved and dug themselves into the ground, as the creature moved, circling the man slightly. It thought this one to be interesting for sure.
"Those without a name, must give themselves one.....That is what we have done..."
The creature did say we. With the reason that it was not there by itself just as Varys wasn't entirely there either. It was definately a we atleast until Schrägstrich could find a way to take the body for itself, something that no one would want happen.
"So what is it's name? Or does it require time to find one?"

"You can call me Durron for convienience." He said still keeping an eye on this entity as it circled him. Durron out of instinct trusted nobody. And something this vicious looking definalty didn't get any trust points. Though it was catching Durron's interest in a high degree. "As for you. What can I call you?' he asked.

"Durron..."
The creature clacked out, echoing the word so it might remember it. More importantly so Varys might remember it. His memories of what the nightmares did or spoke was not always clear, such were the nature of his beasts.
"Our names? We have many, because we are one of many. We all stem from Varys but This one is Schrägstrich......"
There was a soft hiss from the nightmare as if it was hurt, and it was. Varys was not happy about his name being thrown around so easily when it wasn't entirely his consent, still he supposed there was little to do now but to let the man decode the answer. It was still enjoyable to hear the way Schrägstrich spoke, atleast for Varys.

All stem from Varys. A being that can transform. How interesting Durron thought and a smile formed on his face. This person orthing ould be highly useful. ANd it was clear the being wasn't human. Though like himself he figured Varys probably had a human form for convenience. "Very well well Varys." he said watching closly for the reaction. When the name was first mentioned he didn;t miss the reaction.

Schrägstrich emitted a loud and resonating clack, something certainly of anger and indignation. The words that came from the beast next were certainly swift and heated.
"We are Schrägstrich not Varys. Do not call us by his name, we are not him we are not!"
The claws on the beast twitched slightly from their seats in the tile, the left one rising with great speed and slamming back down into the tile, the claw being driven a good inch into the tile and concrete floor.
Of course the anger had actually weakened the Nightmare's bid for full control of the body and now Varys had a better foot hold. Despite Schrägstrich's want to attack the man he had shortened his own leash and now Varys had better control. Indeed, Schrägstrich didn't actually move to attack the man in the least.

Seeing the claw raise Durron raised his right arm up. But the claw was put back down. Rather forcably he noticed and smirked.
"So Schrägstrich you don't seem to like Varys. Mabey your more of a pet he can turn into. A lapdog perhapes." He said with a hint of amusment wondering how far he could push this creature. Durron didn't pay any attanetion to the other students around them. He was entirly focused on this Schrägstrich in front of him.

Schrägstrich was infuriated at the words. They were true...to an extent , but they were also highly insulting. Varys may have had control but he couldn't keep his Nightmare from attacking now. With him just killing afew students and taking out a wall of the academy not to long ago, he couldn't afford an attack on another student. He already had some of the archmages bidding with the others to have him locked away.
Schrägstrich looked as if ready to attack when the wet sounds of twisting flesh and cracking bone began to fill the air. The sounds were music to Varys' ears and only more anger to Schrägstrich. Still the transformation continued untill Varys emerged from the beast. Varys would grimance in pain for afew moments after the transformation, trying to impede and eventually stop his Nightmare and successfully doing so in the end.
"That was not clever....I do hope you do not have to sleep and if you do you sleep very lightly. It is hard to hear an assassin when it has no feet to make a sound with..."
Varys' voice did have a serious tone in it, he was somewhat angered himself, a residual effect of his nightmare and also by having to forcibly put Schrägstrich away. It was a tiring and painful task.
"Still...Durron, I would ask you not try that again. Other Nightmares have less reason than that last one and usually attack without the provocation."

A satisfied smile formed on Durron's face isntead of the taunting one. "Threats mean nothing to me even if they have substance tot hem." he said chuckling and looked to see Varys in front of him. He was right. The man could take a human form but was anything but human. "Very interesting abilitys Varys." he said totally ignoring the warning. If Durron payed any mind to such things he'd be so paranoid he's be shaking like a leaf in a windestorm. "Wonderful to meet another being besides these wretched humans and mindless monsters." he said and his amr blades retracted back into his arms.

"I wonder why you think me not human?"
Varys spoke quickly, he was indeed very human. His magic only worked on the almost uniquely human princapal of the nightmare. Still this one didn't know that so perhaps he was correct in thinking Varys wasn't human? It was an odd question and one that hadn't been thought of untill now.
"There aren't too many mindless monsters I know of...though I suppose two of the ones I know of fit the bill."
Varys eyed the odd looking blades as they retracted into the arms, they were almost leaf like? It seemed something of the sort, but that didn't entirely make sense. Of course, the man infront of him didn't entirely make sense either.
"It is interesting to meet you however to be sure."

"I doubt any full human can attain such a transformaition. AFter all I look slightly human. Wich I dispise. But am not human. In fact I rather envy such transformations you can attain. I would love to shed this form I have been given. But it suites my purposes for now." he said with a shrug
"I take it though from what you say you havn't encountered those mosters that come from rifts in this world. I was about to feel slightly akin to them. AFter all I could be cosdiered a moster myself. But then their lives became forfit."He said chuckling at thethought of the blood running along his arms not long ago. The mindless beasts had the gall to attack him. A creature who was a weapon by creation.
"So Varys. What say you to us getting away from the mainstream populace and scum of this Academy. i have the feeling we can find a topic of mutual interest." he said

A snap and a hissing growl was heard behind the two. In fact a trio of them as three Hellfire Salamanders strode into view snapping their jaws almost hungrily. They were agitated by their master's current mood and that made them more prone to attack. A man of impressive height walked behind them a hood up as the creatures hissed and snapped wanting to attack the two but, they were held there by a single black word of power that neither could recognize. Thalomin gave a small smile as he let the hood keep him obscure and lightly rested his hand on the broadsword. Not that he'd need to fight if he wanted to kill them the Salamanders could flame the entire hall engulfing the both in hellfire. It was an amusing thought as Thalomin gazed at them lightly tapping the pommel of his sword.
The nightmare boy he was interested in after all what he used was pure terror something that Thalomin could appreciate. He let another ghost of a smile trace his lips but, for a smile to appear on Thalomin's lips meant that something bad might happen. One was arrogant and would get himself killed very easily if he continued the idiocies. Varys as the name was said and Thalomin had heard however, was more interesting to him. He had some very fun abilities indeed.
"Tempting death is going to get you killed," Thalomin said with a small smile.

Durron looked over at Thalomin and to say the least he wasn't impressed. He had seen this type already. The kind who delivered a single line thinking it could influence others. And it looked to be a human. Durron's eyes narrowed. "What do you want." At least he was about to say that when he noticed the attention wasn't on him. But on Varys.
"Tempting death is at least somthing I can handle unlike many here at this Academy. You would do well not to underestimate my abilitys human. Granted I will take the same precautions. But I'd rather you not butt into a conversation. You might regret it if you don't have anything of interest to bring." He said. The hatred was clear in his voice. the mere presence of an obvious human made his blades press against his forearms involentarly makeing two large bulges where they would normally come out
