A Lexical Change (Xav and Alastin)

[Lexandra]

Lexi walked down the hall. She was not the same Lexi that Xavier had fallen in love with at the moment. She was nervous she was planning something special and she wasn't used to doing this kind of stuff. Today she was even dressed differently but it was all part of the bigger plan for later.

She was dressed in something that was not black which for Lexi was highly unusual. She was dressed with a spanish flare because for some reason that was what she had decided on for tonight. A red skirt covered her lower body. It was filled with ruffles of the soft fabric fell down her body. The length on her left leg fell down to the floor and then tappered of to the slit on the right. It was a skirt that was dead sexy too. For while her left leg was covered the right had a slit up to her thigh that allowed her to move in the heavy fabric easily and give it that sexy flare.

On her torso was a skin tight tank top of a crimison color and black accents. It hugged her body showing off all her curves and stopped just three inches above the skirt. So that not only was her navel shown but the piercing that she had changed to a ruby. Her black and maroon hair hung loose around her shoulders and her feet here christened with high heeled sandals the exact ones she had worn to prom.

She walked through the academy. What she really needed right now was a male's opinion. She wanted everything to be perfect and so she was on the great search for a male that she could run things past before Xavier was set to arrive at her room if he had gotten the note she had left him that was.

[Alastin]

Alastin was humming softly in the cafeteria and reading. Not rushing to help anyone for once in his time at the academy. No he was sitting at a corner table snuggled into his seat rather comfortably he humming happily as he read. An order of supreme nachos were within reach that Alastin's hand occaisonally snacked out to grab one of the delectable things. The academy was pure bliss as far as food went Alastin trying new things every day but, he was certainly gaining favorites rather quickly. Humming softly as he continued his reading Alastin was happy and relaxed. Ziare was doing rather well from what he had known, and he found himself with a bit more free time then usual. Truthfully he was curious about that since he knew Ziare still had plenty of progress to do but, he wasn't going to comment on it. He had promised her that he would do more relaxation and not always jump the gun with his training.

Alastin paused to look over the edge of his book and hummed sofly for a moment as he picked up another nacho and crunched into it almost giving a moan at the taste. It was just so damn good whoever made it seriously deserved some kudos or something they certainly knew there stuff. Satisfied where he was Alastin settled back down with his book.

Totally unaware.

Totally naive.

[Lexandra]

Lexi saw her mark as she entered the cafeteria. He sat alone in the corner and she couldn't help but grin. He had that innocent Xavier look to him which made him perfect. Munching on nachoes she smiled as she went into the line and bought another batch before she approached the table. She sat them down in front of him and rather rudely removed his book.

There stood Lex every guys dream body and every guys dream looks but the world worst attitude unless she wanted to be nice. Luckily for him this hot sexy girl had something she needed.

"Excuse me would you be so kind as to help me out?" she asked. "You see I'm planning something rather special and I need a guys opinion. And well you're a guy so could you help me out?" she asked.

She sat down in the seat next to him and crossed her left leg over her right exposing her beautiful and toned pale legs as she relaxed back in the seat the sunlight sparkling off the ruby at her navel.

"The nachos are kinda a payment ahead of time. I really would appreciate this." she said.

[Alastin]

Nachos and book.

A perfect world indeed.

Alastin was comfortable where he was sitting not hearing the sound of a couple things breaking as guys dropped their jaws at Lexandra. She was indeed what they would nickname sex incarnate and they were all about to go sit with her. To thier horror and dismay however, she chose to sit with someone else that was already there. Not just anyone but, someone who usually sat by himself. Why did the loners get all the damn attention?! Much envy was going to ensume. In fact some alreayd was when they heard Lexandra's voice.

This was horribly an unjustified world. Isn't teenage hormone emoing great?

Alastin blinked when he found not only his book taken away. Yet this girl had given him a fresh order of nachos and he glanced at it for a moment hearing her call it payment for something. Alastin blinked for a moment. He looked up at her giving a small smile. The guys fell over. WHY WASN'T HE DROOLING?! Alastin blinked for a moment having heard what she said and folded his arms for a moment. Helping others was what he did. He gave a smile and a cute nod.

"I'm not sure how good my opinion will be but, I'm always glad to help others," Alastin said happily.

[Lexandra]

Lexi smiled as her foot bobbed up and down the sandle secured just right. She noticed all the guys staring and new that this outfit would indeed hit Xavier off just right. It seemed that they were all shocked she sat down with the quiet boy in the corner. She leaned forward slightly and nodded.

"Okay so here's the deal. I'm working on this thing for this guy that means a lot to me you see. And he kinda is like this innocent rather happy guy and you kinda remind me of him. But anyway. The point being what I need to know is if this kind of stuff would make you happy , had a girl done this for you k?"

She began to explain quietly because she didn't want to be over heard about all her plans for the night. The theme, the candles, the dinner, the after dinner, everything. Down to the tiniest detail not excluding the rather recently acquired new silk bed sheets that were waiting upstairs on her bed for them.

"So.. what do you think?" she asked leaning back in her seat. "You think that would work for you? I mean you're a guy I'm a girl you know.. that kinda thing so what do you think?"

[Alastin]

For some reason Lexandra made Alastin decidely a bit more uncomfortable then when he was around with Ziare. Sure they were both girls but, with Ziare he found it easier to get comfortable with and enjoyed exchanging soft touches with her. With Lexandra it was quite the oppisite there was just stuff about her that even Alastin the naive could notice and it made him blush slightly as he took another bite of the nachos. Yes the cheese sauce was suddenly very interesting. Definantly the way to keep his attention from...

GAHHHHHH WHYYYYYYYYY?!

He blushed a bit more savagely twisting his chain of thought as he looked up at Lexandra again. Self-consciously he toyed with the crystal cross that was around his neck feeling the elegant and smooth craft with his fingertips. He blushed a bit more and looked down at the table when she told him that he was asking him because he was innocent-looking like the guy she was with.

Am I really innocent?

MISSSSSSSSSSSAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

There was no response from the dragon as he couldn't help but, notice how close Lexandra was as she began telling him the whole thing. Detail after detail and Alastin listened imaginging it it all piece by piece as he thought about it. Again another nacho dissapeared to keep the poor boy calm and not too fidgety as he glanced at his plate again. Then she hit the after dinner details as he began to eat a nacho. He heard the mention of bedsheets and accidentally swallowed and made choking noises his face going red. Poor thing...

The details were apparently a bit too much.

[Lexandra]

Lexi looked up at the choking noise and she laughed. A full hearted laugh and shook her head her black and marroon hair shook from side to side for a moment as she rose and went over to him. She patted him on the back and chuckled as she rubbed his back gently.

Not paying attention to the rest of the room she knelt down next to him her legs showing their muscles as they supported her weight the slit up her side showing it off nicely as she looked up at Alastin.

"Hey there don't die on me I still need you bud." she chuckled.

This kid was even more innocent that Xavier had ever been and she could only look up at him and push a glass of water towards him as she chuckled again. She couldn't believe how naive this kid was but he was perfect if that was what he thought then perhaps she had done it right.

[Xavier]

Xavier had returned to his room after a bit of meditating out in the woods at the edge of the city. Communing with nature was a good way to focus his abilities and even sharpen them. He always felt refreshed and re-energized after meditating, Mother Nature always found a way to re-vitalize him. With a contented sigh he up to his dorm room door. On it he found a note from Lex, his interest immediately perked up because it was from her and he quickly snatched it off the door and started reading.

Xavier grinned a little as he finished reading the note. He could only wonder what she had in mind for him. After their little camping trip he figured she couldn't surprise him any more. Apparently he was wrong and he was very interested to see what she had planned this time.

He jogged for the elevator deciding to see if he could track her down and maybe squeeze some details out of her. If he couldn't get her to talk at least he could enjoy the squeezing. He headed for the cafeteria, what was the point of searching on an empty stomach.

As he walked in he picked her out right away and the sight of her stopped him dead in his tracks. She was dressed in the sexiest outfit he had ever seen and he noticed all the guys in the cafeteria had their eyes on her. His tongue lolled out of his mouth for a few minutes as he just stood in the entrance way, drooling over her.

He collected himself and strolled over, she was talking to some blonde guy. Odd, Lex was never the social type. But it was best not to jump to conclusions, he had scolded her for that already and he didn't want to make himself look like a hypocrite. Then she laughed and that was like a fist to his gut. She never laughed around anyone but him, something had to be going on...no, no there was nothing nothing going on. There couldn't be, she had told him she loved him and couldn't bear to lose him there was no way she'd fool around behind is back. Right?

"Hey there," he called with a grin as he approached the pair, wrapping his arms around Lex's waist from behind, "You're awfully dressed up," he said with a grin and then looked over at the other guy.

He took a second to size him up, nothing too special but he had the cute innocent naivety thing going on. Nothing that Xavier didn't at least match, he hoped, "Nice to meet you," he said, sticking his hand out to Alastin, "I'm Xavier...are you a friend of Lex's?" he asked, phrasing the question innocently enough. What he really wanted to know was how close this guy was to Lex, was he close enough to be a danger to their relationship?

[Alastin]

He coughed and finally got it down right as he felt her touch on him and blushed a bit more. The laugh wasn't fair either she was the one that had got him in the situation in the first place. He felt alittle meek after that not only had he been thrown off gaurd but, now he looked like a total nitwit in front of someone else as he looked at her warily. He gave a weak smile his cheeks flushed with embarassment as he gratefully accepted the water and sipped at it. Only to nearly go spluttering when he saw her toned thighs showed off as he coughed again for a moment. One unlucky streak so far what a way to meet new people and it wasn't going to get done quickly and easily for the moment. Alastin SERIOUSLY wished he had an invisability spell right now so he could just have a panic attack and run before he screwed up anymore.

"Sorry, I just yeah uhmmmmmm it was just unexpected all the details," Alastin rushed out his cheeks still red as he rubbed the back of his head and looked at the table. Looking any further down was dangerous he already noted that as he let his hair frame his face.

"It sounds very nice though I'm sur....." it was of course doomed to be interrupted and at the worst possible time as someone else approached. Even worse was that Alastin was being sized up and he looked even more flustered. Great just great suicide for one please. Alastin looked down flushing not accepting the hand he was just so damned flustered.

"Alastin Skylark," he whispered in a squeaked voice he was so damned flustered by all of this first Lex screwing him up and now Xav just entirely ruining his attempt to get on a straight track. His silver earring shimmered in the morning light.

[Lexandra]

Lexi chuckled again. This guy should have a warning label attatched. 'Careful naive and innocent. Death is an immediate hazard.' She chuckled to herself at the thought and stood up again letting the silken folds of her ruffled skirt fall back into place. She was taller than normal because of the heals she wore and she was hot and she knew it. Of course the puddles of drool coming from around the cafeteria only served to help.

He was finally about to tell her opinion on what she had planned when two familiar and strong arms came and wrapped themselves around her bare waist. She rolled her eyes. Damnit. Well so much for that plan. Telling her something she already knew, that she looked 'all dressed up'. Well duh! I did get all dressed up. Geez way to state the obvious here Xav.

"I thought you were hunting." she said a bit more coldly than she had intended.

But here she was trying to get some blasted info and of course the one man she did not want to see right now comes right up. She sighed and moved out of Xav's arms. The boy told Xav his name and she grinned.

"Did you need something Xavier?" she asked sitting back down in her seat across from Alastin.

[Xavier]

"Nice to meet you Alastin," he said with a friendly grin as he finished shaking hands. The poor boy looked like he was on death's door, all flustered and looking as if he had just been choking. He knew Lex was sexy and especially looking good in that outfit she was in but he didn't think it was cause him to choke. Stop him in his tracks yes, make him drool yes, but make him choke that was a bit extreme.

However the smile was almost slapped off his face as Lex questioned him as to why he wasn't out hunting. The coldness and harshness in her voice stunned him for a second. He stood there for a few seconds with a surprised look on his face, a bit of hurt mixed into his expression, "Well I..I was but then I came back and noticed your note...I just thought I'd say hi..." he said softly, looking down a little like a small chlid who had just gotten in trouble for painting on the walls.

Xavier was now seriously suspicious as she moved out of his arms and she sat back down near that flustered looking Alastin fellow, "I'm um, sorry Lex..." he said, the coldness in her tone still had him stunned. Even when they first met her voice had never had that sort of harshness to it. He backed up a bit, feeling a little unwanted at the moment

An attempt at a friendly grin spread across his face, "It was nice meeting you Alastin," he said, his voice trying to sound cheery but it was obviously hollow and forced, "I'll...I guess I'll see you around Lex," he said as he turned around and started for the cafeteria entrance, hands in his pockets and head down.

[Lexandra]

Well crap! Little bastard was playing that card. But it worked. Immediatly she felt like crap and she saw his face. She watched as he was crestfallen and sad as he replied. Immediatly she just felt like she wasn't worthy of him and she let her gaze fall.

When he turned to leave she stood up and turned to Alastin.

"Thanks for your help. I'm sorry I .. have to go." she whispered.

She ran after Xavier her skirt flying much to the joy of the other members in the cafeteria. She grabbed Xavier and spun him around by his waist. She smiled softly and ran her hand down his cheek. Her eyes were soft and filled with tears.

"Silly puppy." she whispered as she kissed him gently and stroked his cheek for a moment. "You know I only have eyes for you."

She pulled him into an embrace and every guys heart fell as it was clearly obvious where her heart lay. For a long moment she just held him close to her one hand working through his hair softly.

"It's not yet seven but would you like to start our evening? I was merely asking Alastin his opinion on if he thought my plans might appeal to you. That was all." she whispered softly and kissed the tip of his nose. "I didn't mean to snap. Forgive me?" she asked.

[Xavier]

Xavier's eyes went wide as he felt himself being spun around. He couldn't help but smile as he looked down at Lex. He unconciously breathed a small sigh of relief. She really had him worried there for a second. What with the snapping at him, meeting other guys while she thought he was out, and dressing very different. Thiough he appreciated the new style to her clothing it was definitely a change, a sexy change.

He returned her kiss with a nod, "I know you do," he said as she told him she only had eyes for him, "I'm sorry for getting all mopey on you," he said with a soft grin, "I know this is going to sound hypocritical but this whole thing made me a little suspicious and well...jealous," he admitted, looking down sheepishly.

He smiled and wrapped his arms tighty around her waist holding her close against him as she explained why she had been meeting with Alastin. Well that certainly made sense, he really should have thought about it logically before he jumped to conclusions. Now he felt a little foolish aboutg getting all worked up over it.

"How could I not forgive you?" he asked with a smile, kissing her lightly, "Especially when you're dressed like that," he said with a sly grin, "I'm sorry for getting all suspicious and mopey. If you want I could go for a bit until you get Alastin's opinions on your plans for our evening together," he offered with a smile.

[Alastin]

Alastin sighed for a moment at the whole display being worked out and again things were going through his head. He wasn't sure what at the moment but, he wasn't hungry anymore after all of that. What was it about their relationship that bugged Alastin somewhat? He heard the apology he heard the introductions and concluded it might be nice when he wasn't in the middle of it all. He sighed briefly as he gazed out the window no longer having to feel the stares of the other guys. Again Alastin was bugged by something but, he didn't know what exactly. He'd have to figure it out eventually because it was bugging the hell out of him and he knew Misae wasn't going to outright tell him what's on his mind. Figure it out for yourself is what she would say.

Reading in the cafeteria probably wasn't a good idea...

He picked up his book as he stood up and threw away his trash. Humming softly he headed out of the cafeteria and to the courtyard. Maybe he wouldn't be so interrupted.

[Lexandra]

Lexi smiled up at Xavier and her eyes locked with his. They were deeply in love and it was funny just the prospect of one finding someone else hurt them. She reached up and kissed the tip of his nose a place she could reach with her heels on.

"I wanted to surprise you with a perfect evening." she whispered softly. "I think it's all ready though."


She spied Alastin leaving out of the corner of her eye and felt bad. She would have to go and explain to him later. She was sure she could figure out where he lived and talk to him about it after a while. She felt bad about the fight they had just had and having thrust Alastin in the middle of it but she would do something nice for him in a bit maybe tomorrow.

"Lets go to my room. We'll start the evening a little early is all." she said softly as she slid her hand into his and began leaving the cafeteria with him.
