A small talk. (Alastin)

Jyo stood on one of the Balconies overlooking part of the Academy. He didn't exactly look forward to this meeting but it was something that had to be done. For Zaire's sake if anything else.

Earlier that day he had stopped by Alastin's dorm. He had knocked but didn't get an answer. Not a surprise really. So he left a note telling Alastin to meet him here. Jyo wasn't sure if he would come considering their last meeting

Granted I was a jerk but I was nothing compared to him. I didn't go and pick some fight. Mabey the air can be cleared a little. One of us has to have the balls to be mature enough to do this. He thought. Jyo looked out over the Academy. This was literally his home. He haden't looked at it this way in a long time.

[Alastin]

It was colder then usual during this day probably because of the cold front that was moving in the wolrd regardless it was much colder. Alastin shivered letting his wings come out in the biting cold of the early morning. He wrapped them around himself like a cloak for the moment as he just let himself be refreshed having been told by Ziare to relax. Well not told more like threatened and he was being monitored by Misae. That wasn't exactly fair when your own bond summon sides with someone else rather then you. Alastin sighed softly as he was standing in the courtyard below that balcony or well in view of it at least as he gazed at the horizon.

"It's so beautiful this early," Alastin said softly unaware of the note the young healer having been out here since predawn having gotten up early so he could observe the sunrise here at the Academy. A gently breeze going through his hair.

It was something to cherish.

Jyo looked around hearing Alastin's after his comment was made. One thing Jyo had a knack for was remembering voices. It sounded like it came from below him. Jyo peered down but couldn't see much. He shrugged and then spread his wings and jumped off swooping down and around seeing Alastin. he banked and headed back landing not far from the healer.

"Indeed it is a good morning. Glad you're out here. I wanted to talk and mabey clear a few things up from our last meeting. Particularly as Zaire has you as a close friend and for her sake I'll at least be civil and make the effort to try and get along. As long as You're willing to do the same and not try to insult me like last time." He said. His tone was completely deadend. he wanted to get this done but wasn't really happy about it. AFter all he truly had been the more civil of the two last time even though they haden't been polite. Jyo hadn't truly spoke anything bad of Alastin. Hell he had even thanked him after Alastin had insulted him.

[Alastin]

Alastin heard the flap of wings and sighed for a moment mentally considering on taking off and going somewhere else. There was only one other person Alastin knew of that had wings that could make that much noise. He heard Misae say something and he sighed mentally as he turned his attention to the horizon hearing Jyo land nearby his hearing sensitive. Or maybe it was because Alastin had become better at sensing the presence of others from being around Varys and making that alertness a bit more pronounced. Alastin was just who he was there was no changing that as he almost shivered in the cold. He wasn't going to stay out much longer if it didn't warm up since he was supposed to keep it easy on magic.

Misae?

~You know you're supposed to recoveor right now.~

I know but...

~Not yet.~

Alastin sighed mentally as he heard Jyo's comment and didn't even respond to it for that moment. He had known how he acted already he didn't need a damn lecture on it. He flicked his wings lightly and heard Jyo's excuse on why he was doing it mentally wanting to gnash his teeth and cut loose his newest spell.

~NO!~

*sigh*

Alastin brushed a lock of hair away from his face not turning to face Jyo yet his own wings warding off the chill at the moment.

"I'm listening," he said in that same soft voice however, it did not have that soothing tone that healer voice so to speak.

[jyo]

"First off. Sorry for being an ass. I've been dealing with too much and I didn't have alot of help. Hence I lashed out alot when I didn't need to." He said. Oddly Jyo didn't show alot of the signs people had when they apologized. That had never been an issue for Jyo.

"Secondly I am serious when I thanked you for healing Zaire and helping her to this day. Due to this I don't think i have had any reason to dislike you wich I don't. I'm just not sure why I can't get along with you. But as Zaire and I are back together and you are a large part of her life we are going to be around each other a fair amount of time. I simply want those times to be pleasent instead of awkward." He said walking to the egde of the balcony and looking out over the grounds. Having lived here his whole life he still found the Academy and it's city amazing. Perhapes due to all te variety that never stopped expanding.

[Alastin]

He heard Jyo's words so to speak yet at the same time he did not as he thought about other things for the moment thinking about the work that had to be done. A healer's work is never done Alastin having followed that line for as long as he has had is gifts in healing which have been for a couple of years now. The apology he noted didn't have the full tones of someone apologizing and it mentally irked him for a moment that he became the target of Jyo's lashings. Didn't have much help did he? Ok Alastin knew that feeling so he wasn't going to bite down on it or was he going to question it as he gazed at the horizon still. So much work that had to be done it seemed and never a dull moment so to speak.

This conversation...is it really?

The two voices of his bond summons in his mind he was sorely tempted to summon Laelaps since it was bloody cold out here but, he didn't feel like doing that just yet. No telling what Laelaps might do if he felt the need to be defensive of his summoner and Misae still wasn't thrilled with Jyo. Both of which layed heavily in the young man's mind as he heard Jyo's comments and decided not to dispute or question. He nodded showing that he was paying attention to the conversation yet at the same time he was still thinking. Still pondering. And couldn't help but, find the irony in the voices of his two bond summons arguing patience when they would have just as quickly tried to overpower Jyo.

Yet there was something that gave Alastin pause in his thoughts.

A comment that caught his attention.

Jyo saying that he and Ziare were back togeather made him think and fold his arms even more but, that was unnoticable since his arms were under his wings. Was what he said true? Or was there more to this then Alastin knew. It was something that he might have to ask Ziare when he had the time. Or at least remembered it by the next time that he saw her.

"We shall see what happens Jyo I am not making any promises or garuntees. You nearly killing her twice cost me alot of work and experiancing the backlash of the first time is something I still haven't gotten over quite yet," Alastin said softly as he turned to face him. "Perhaps in time. Yet for now I think you quoted it best the last time we spoke. Just keep away from me," he healer said softly as his wings snapped back and folded behind him retracting into his back. Even as he walked away a beautiful hound appeared at Alastin's side who he casually ran his fingers through the fur as he walked away.

Jyo shrugged.
"I guess i really can;t expect much more. Just keep in mind I was the one who came and apologized and so on. Mabey not motivated just to do that. But at least I made the effort." He said and then spread his wings and jumped off the balcony as he took flight off to another area of the Academy.
